Had to laugh and was a little surprised when in the produce area this past fall they had a sale on Olathe sweet corn. The produce department employee was unloading a box clearly marked California. I guess I should check the map and visit Olathe, California. In addition When another shopper called the employee out on this he stated he had to stock this corn. I used to shop all time at the Albertsons on S. Broadway and Alameda they had a great general manager, Mike Davis. I would buy the fried chicken three to four times a month. It was almost perfectly cooked every time. At this Albertson’s the fried chicken is almost always over cooked and dried out. Suggestion, buy a meat thermometer. On the plus side they do seem to have some great sales through out the year.

We ordered a Big sheet cake for my husbands birthday party and it turned out HORRIBLE, embarrassing the would even consider giving us something that look so bad. You could see the actual cake through the frosting, the handing writing that was use to write Happy Birthday was maybe font size 8, not even readable and the cake was to feed 75 people. We ended up having to buy new frosting and new piping and re-do the cake ourselves. VERYVERYVERY disappointing. worth spending the extra money going to someone more professional.

This location has been on the decline for several years. They use to be very friendly, and helpful and decently priced. Now it seems they keep a very limited options for items I need. And the prices don’t seem to add up. For example: enchilada sauce. They have next to nothing for selections. They have only a few sizes it and the prices are b.s. They have seriously NOPARMESANCHEESE. They have these very small packages and basically its KRAFT. The deli has selections, but I agree with the previous reviews the deli employees are rude and unpleasant. I have purchased garlic from this location only to find it rotten and spoiled when I get home. Not worth the headache when I can go to Safeway and be guaranteed a fresh head of garlic. Waiting at the customer service line can be pain in the ass too, they’re just not very fast moving. That’s hectic when the line starts to snake around near the registers. The only upside to this one, they can have some very nice bread if you catch them before noon. Bread that’s still warm and smells good.

I visited this store for the first time, since I shop in the evenings and was in the neighborhood, I decided to stop. I don’t expect much from the employees but my first encounter with one of the deli employee was very unpleasant. The employee was cleaning one of the slicers while I was standing there for few minutes until I call her to help me. I got the feeling that she didn’t like to be bothered or she just hated her job. Also, where is the butcher when you need one, I ended up purchasing the packaged meat because nobody showed up to help me. Also, the last thing I want to do is to wait for the pharmacist to get my medication, maybe he needs to put a sign that says«I am taking a break come back later». Lastly, please thank your customer, no matter if they spend $ 5 or $ 271.69. Do you think mornings are better?

I have always been partial to other grocery stores, especially since there is no shortage of grocery stores in Thornton. However, I’ve been paying closer attention to the ads lately, and Albertson’s has some pretty killer deals! Bananas this week were nearly 20 cents/lb cheaper than the other stores. They had Rockstar for 88 cents/can! Pork riblets for $ 1.39/lb! They also routinely offer 10% off for veterans, those in emergency services(police/fire/EMS).
