We ate here for Father’s Day. There are no Greek restaurants in North Rockland, so I did a search and came across Santorini. The food was just delicious! The meal started out with some complimentary pita bread with oil and some hummus. Great! We had the saganaki and the octopus for appetizers and they were fantastic! I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter which included a greek salad and lemon potatoes. These were all outstanding and the portions were huge! I was stuffed before my entrée even came out. I ordered the galactobureko to go, which I haven’t tried yet because I am still stuffed, but I’m sure it will be great, as well. The servers were very attentive and polite. I will definitely return to Santorini for a wonderful meal!

Large Lamb gyro — $ 8. Their tzatziki sauce is bomb! Restaurant is clean and cozy. Quick on large take-out orders. Coworkers seemed to enjoy what they ordered as well — chicken gyro, beef gyro, and falafel dish and said its better than the other place in T-Town. Portions are very good too!

Lunch began with a generous portion of seasoned pita, olive oil and hummus. The Greek salad was chilled, fresh and the Greek dressing was excellent. We ordered the grilled octopus which was seasoned nicely and grilled to perfection. The lamb souvlaki was generous and delicious and everything was moderately priced. They have a great wine selection including many great Greek white and reds to pick from, both glasses and bottles. And they have HOMEMADE Greek desserts! The Gelatobureko was amazing! Authentic Greek! Enjoy!

I tried Santorini on a recent Saturday evening coming home from the Westchester Airport. The restaurant is off route 9 close to the TZ bridge. We are big fans of Greek food. The place is very small and quite noisy when tables are filled. It’s very hard to get up from the table and use a restroom because the tables are packed in very tight. Basic Greek menu, decent prices. Food is average. We sent back our fried calamari appetizer because it was very rubbery and under cooked. They give you a small portion of hummus complimentary but that lacked flavor. We also ordered the gigantes bean appetizer, which was ok. Our main was the chicken souvlaki kebab, and we added 2 additional sides to round out the meal. We asked for some additional pita and noticed we charged for it. The server was pleasant. Overall it was a very mediocre experience and I doubt I would return.

Great greek food. Gyro meat is much better than Lefteris Gyro. They serve you a free appetizer of humus with pita. They do charge if you ask for extra pita which I found odd. Lemon potatoes are fantastic. I highly recommend. Waitresses were ok(kind of annoying they stare at you while you eat).

Who in the world expects to find some of the best Greek food out there in a little town like Sleepy Hollow(Tarrytown)?? Honestly, I haven’t tasted Greek food this good since my visit to Greece… finger licking good! The restaurant is in itself nothing impressive, it has a very homey mom and pop feeling to it. You can tell the restaurant is family run and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The waitresses were super nice and the owner made sure that we left happy and satisfied. So on to what we had: — Split pea soup– ummm delicious… my brother ate half of it because it was so full of flavor with an earthy almost lentil like taste! — Greek salad– huge bowls of salads which were delicious! I don’t know where they get their feta from but it is the only one yet that resembles the feta you get in Greece — Chicken Souvlaki– chicken was moist and full of flavor and the potatoes that came with it, dripping in buttery garlicky lemony goodness! — Chicken Gyro– chicken again was so moist and not dry at all! It was moist in the inside and had the crispy edges that I love, oh so good! — Chicken Oregano– when it comes out it just looks like ordinary chicken breast with some herbs but my goodness is it delicious! The chicken is tender and has this herby lemony flavor. Portions here are big and you get a lot for your money. My family and me left with tummy aches because we couldn’t stop eating. The food here is delicious so if you are in the area, make sure to stop by! If you are visiting from NYC, combine it with a trip to Kykuit to make an unforgettable day!

My second time coming here and it is the best Greek food I have tried. I love the smell of freshly made desserts when you walk in. And the smell of BBQ. Portions are enough, for leftover. Was already full with the starters only, pita bread with hummus and a salad. The dressing is homemade. The soups are great. Who could have known lentil soup was amazing. Lamb platter was really good and filling. BUTWHAT I LOVE most is the desserts I get to take home, not sure of the name but a white powdery based almond cookie, and this rolled honey long stick pastry with chocolate drizzled on top. Can someone help me find out the name if it. I feel in love with them.

Terrible. I don’t know how this place got such good reviews. I was excited to try it, but was so disappointed with the food. I ordered the pork souylvaki and sautéed veggies. I requested only light oil on the veggies as lots of grease upsets my stomach. The first insult was the veggies were obviously microwaved and poorly at that. The skin of the veggies was freezer burned. They also dumped a gallon of butter on it like I asked them not to do. The pork was ok at best. Wayyyyy overcooked and under seasoned. My teeth hurt after attempting to chew. I ate it because I was hungry and with friends so I didn’t want to make a scene. I regret it though. My stomach is very unpleasant right now. I hate you, Santorini Restaurant! You’re the total worst.

Authentic Greek food, so delicious and brings memories back. I ordered a Greek salad, Tzatziki, and lamb Gyro for main course. Everything was very fresh and full of flavor. I even got a Hummus plate on the house, which was great. I visited Greece many times and everything is as authentic as it gets. The waitresses are super nice, and so is the owner, who also serves food to customers, and makes sure everyone is satisfied.

Updating because I’ve been back a few times now, everything consistently great. The baklava is absolute heaven. Service is wonderful too. This is my favorite Greek restaurant without a doubt. I’m scratching my head at what a good value this place is — if the location were more prominent I’d bet it would be hard to get a table. But it’s not so far out of the way & there is parking.

Absolutely incredible! We split the Bronzini with a side of spinach and Greek salad. The fish was amazing. I’m sitting at the table now paying the bill, writing this. Already thinking of coming back and I haven’t even left!

There was almost no one else there on a weekday afternoon, so we had excellent service. The hummus and pita was perfect. We tried the sampler appetizer platter that came with many different dips/sauces to dunk your pita bread in, as well as cheese and olives. The stuffed grape leaves were perfect as well. Nothing bad to say about this family-run business!

The best Mediterranean restaurant I have been to. Their grill octopus, whole bronzini fish, soups and lamb are really great! Definitely one of the best in Tarrytown

Very disappointing experience after having read such enthusiastic reviews on the authenticity of the cuisine in Unilocal.I went in solo, thinking I would eat some dinner while waiting out the parking lot of traffic over the TZB. The older gentleman acting as host instructed the waitress to seat me «in the corner back there»… okaaaay. Table«in the corner back there» was next to an occupied four-top where I would have had to hop over the baby-stroller in the sole aisle between the two tables. No thank you. Now seated at a two top next to the kitchen door, I ordered the Ouzo Keftedes, described on the menu as «Greek meatballs flamed with ouzo», lemon potatoes and a glass of the house white. When the wine arrived, I asked the waitress to take a sniff, and she concurred that it smelled strongly of cleaning fluid. So I went with the pinot grigio instead. A chapter later into the book I had brought with me, waitress returned to ask how everything was. Nothing but the glass of wine on the table. The couple seated across from me who had arrived after me were happily munching on their dishes. She apologized, saying«the owner swiped your pita and hummus for another table, I’ll get if for you while you’re waiting». I will say the heated pita drizzled with olive oil was good, I’ll give them that. Meatballs arrive and are absolutely nothing like the Keftedes I’ve had more than a few times before. Served in a soup bowl filled to the brim with some indiscriminate tomato sauce and chunks of feta on top, neither of which appeared in the«Greek meatballs flamed with ouzo» description. I can’t eat cheese, so spent a few minutes removing the feta. Waitress stopped by again and exclaimed, «oh, you don’t like cheese?» No, I can’t eat cheese and would have asked for it to be omitted if I had had fair warning, tyvm. I bite into the first meatball — and — blah. Perhaps it had been fried once upon a time, but after soaking in the sauce who can tell. Seeing that I’ve set the meatballs aside, waitress(I felt so bad for her, she was so sweet!) discovered I didn’t care for them and came back out from the kitchen to tell me the owner was going to take the item off my bill. At which point I replied«Thank you, but I would have appreciated it more if the owner had had the balls to come out here to tell me himself.» I asked for the remainder of my potatoes and pita to be wrapped along with the bill. I did run into the owner on the steps outside and in reply to my tale of woe he proceeded to tell me(1) they were very busy with a party of 60. Gee, I thought this establishment was a restaurant; and(2) the sauce was *not* out of a can. Okay, a jar then. Whatever. Perhaps it was an off-night, but I left with the distinct impression that female solo diners are treated as second-class customers and if the wine has gone bad, the menu lacking key information in the dish description, hey whaddya want, we took it off the bill. I would recommend sticking with Lefteris. It may get packed in there, but gee they’ve always been courteous to their patrons.
