Welcome addition to the great places on Valley St. Enjoyed the fried rice, fried fish, and the crunchy corn that came out before the meal. We also tried a fantastic Peruvian drink that I was surprised to learn was corn-based.

The food is fantastic! I came for lunch on Sunday. They serve a whole bunch of special items on the weekends only, including goat stew in a thick cilantro sauce, which was wonderful. Big pieces of goat meat on the bone, with white rice and creamy beans and a lightly pickled purple onion salad. As another reviewer noted, the rice was exceptional. My husband had the beef stew — also good, although not as good as the goat. We shared the fish ceviche(there was also an option of a ceviche with several different types of fish.) The ceviche was simple but delicious. Powerfully citrusy with purple onion and cilantro. The waitress asked if we wanted it mild or spicy and we asked for medium. It was still pretty mild so I’ll probably ask for spicy next time — I’ll definitely be returning and ordering the ceviche again. I highly recommend the cicha morada to drink — a slightly sweet Peruvian juice made of purple corn. The service is warm and friendly. The atmosphere is basic but comfortable. There were several other pairs dining and one family group. Plenty of room for our stroller.

Before this Peruvian place was here, there was a Mexican place. I came for a nice brunch with 3 of my friends. Although I wanted to try the churrasco, but unfortunately they didn’t have it that day, so my second choices was the steak with egg with French Fries, sweet yellow plantain and white rice on the side. Not very often has a white rice impressed me, beside the one that my aunt’s, mother or sister cooks, but this time I have to highlight the good taste that the rice had, it took me to my old days when I used to eaten it everyday. The steak was very juice and I really enjoy it. The eggs and fries had a good taste. My steak was medium and the eggs were over easy; I love how the way my egg albumen, bathed my steak, and then dipped my fries and rice on it. The staff was very courteous, friendly; even the owner was there and he stop to say to make sure that everything was fine and Hi to us.
