MP Taverna

This is without question my favorite restaurant in Westchester. It has become my «occasion» restaurant. I’ve been here on three occasions and every single one topped the last. I tell everyone I know about this place and recruit new people to take with us every single time.
I wish I had kept the photos I took of my first experience because this is when I tried the apple Napoleon dessert that changed my life.
I do have a picture from brunch which completely blew me away. Probably the best brunch I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of brunch in my life.
I also came here on New Year’s Eve with a group of four and we had a phenomenal time on a night when it could get hectic.
I can’t wait to come back to MP Taverna on my birthday (March 25) for another amazing meal. If I could give more stars, I would.

I am frequently in the area for work and have tried most of the restaurants – MP Taverna is so far my favorite!
They have a great wine list – I like it when restaurants offer the option to get a full glass or a half glass of wine.
My friend and I split the beet salad as an appetizer and it was very good, a nice combo of different ingredients and flavor.
I had the swordfish with Greek sausage (loukaniko I think) and it was served with spinach and a chipotle yogurt sauce. It was great! The fish was cooked perfectly – apparently the chef was able to decipher my instructions of medium but on the medium rare side but not medium rare, props to him or her. The sausage was really delicious, almost like chorizo but with Greek flavors. I really liked the sauce too.
My friend had the lamb chops with asparagus and her dish looked great too and she enjoyed it.
Great food and the service was very good. Our waiter was attentive and friendly and chatted with us about some other restaurants in the area. Another person, presumably a manager, also stopped by to check on us and make sure we were enjoying everything.
I will definitely be back!

First time eating here last evening! The ambiance is lovely, in the bar section, this is where we chose to sit.
Very open, windows giving way to the Hudson and nearby resturant.
The lighting is soothing and relaxing.
The bartender, Marcus, came over to greet us and take our drink request. Such professionalism, and most gracious host.
He made me feel as though I was a relative. He was knowledgeable, asking the preference of adult beverage I enjoyed and made suggestions.
Not pushy, but extremely helpful.
We began with the pita n dips!
Great choice, with 3 choices of, yogurt/​cucomber, chick pea homus and and eggplant dips, delicious!
The entre selected was lamb shank!
Tender, generous portion, rice and sauce!
So delightful. Perfect seasoning, tender and succelant!
This was a great choice in resturants, moderately priced considering, this is
celebrity chef (Michael Psilakis) resturant, and well known for taking dishes to a higher level!
So glad I came here, and surely to return!
