One of the most friendly and informative sports card shops I have ever been to. Im a bit new to the hobby but Tom is always willing to give me honest advice about cards and information regarding any kind of cards I am looking for. Doesn’t matter if I am interested in a 800 dollar box or a 50 dollar box, Tom always takes the time to help. The prices are also very reasonable, considering you can get the box you want now. Im not sure where they get their cards from, but every single box I have bought, has always worked out in my favor. So if you are interested in buying any kind of sports cards or memorabilia, this is the place to go.

Quick update! Tom sells Mystery Minis by Funco here and they are reasonably and competitively priced (compared to online), I bought two licensed Disney Frozen character ones from him, and my kids were so excited about it! They have Disney Heroes and Villains, along with Minions and Frozen of course. There might’ve been Marvel ones there as well, I can’t recall, but a great little gift for someone!

This is the best card shop in town. And the only one in Sunnyvale. Seriously though, great place. They are affiliated with Steven Creek sports cards and peninsula sports cards. When I decided to find a card shop and stay collecting again, these guys were there! Tom is the regular guy in there, he is super friendly and willing to answer any questions you might have. They have old, new, and the in between. If you want to spend a lot, it a little, they have something for you.
Most card shops have disappeared, buy these guys are holding on strong!
Shoot, after writing this review, I’m going to need to go get a box… maybe some new Topps series 2! Or new Finest Baseball! I’ll decide when I get there…

If you want to talk about sports this is definitely a sports talk haven. I do but not that much. As a football card collector, my friend was in heaven. Besides every sport you can think of they had cards I didn’t even know they made cards for. US Gymnastics Team? Buffy the Vampire Slayer? It’s kinda crazy. On a warm day it gets a bit hot in here s oI had to go outside while my friend was treasure hunting. I can see where the card core would love this place.

This place is FREAKIN AWESOME. Went here years ago, and came back today decided to just get one pack and i hit the mother load. Lets just say 1 of 1 thats all. Tom is a great guy as well very knowledgeable and friendly love coming to south bay will be back soon.

Great shop! Went there for the first time today. I spent $ 40.00 and bought some packs of new baseball cards for 2012. Not knowing the shop, i chanced the packs being searched. They were amazing packs. I ended up with almost $ 200 book value in cards. Including a black topps 2012 card which was 55 of 61 worth $ 45.00 and a relic card worth $ 30 in the next pack. So, i will be going back for sure! Thanks SBSC!

I’ve been going to South Bay Sports Cards since it was at its old location, but since I got my driver’s license, I’ve been by plenty. Have a wide selection of wax, new and slightly older, and they guy who I see the most, Tom, is really nice and friendly. Very eager to help you out and always greets you at the door. I’m not a huge wax buster and usually go to the individual packs (they have newer boxes opened and you may buy individual packs of certain products).
HIGHLY recommend!

i’ve known Tom, Steve, and Walt for many, many years since i was in grade school. South Bay Sports Cards always has the latest wax boxes in stock, and i even get phone calls from Tom, notifying me when new product he knows I will be interested in arrives in stock. great prices. awesome customer service. highly recommend South Bay Sports Cards if you are a sports card or non-​sport card collector!
