Nothing fancy but when I am looking for a good Mexican food option close to my house its a go to favorite. They have a pretty good sampler platter on their appetizer menu and the enchiladas are pretty decent. For the price point you can’t complain to much. I would suggest it if you are in the Stafford area.

This restaurant is a staple for our family dinners. We have been coming for about five years now and I can honestly say they are getting better with time. There is no reservations but they tend to move quickly to get you seated when there is a wait. Expect a wait on holidays or weekends. It’s just that good. Know that parties larger than 8 people will get two different tables due to the setup of the establishment. The staff is super friendly. Today we had Emmanuel as our server. He was friendly and attentive. The family favorite is the pollo con queso, mixed fajitas and definitely the nachos cantinas. Can’t forget the dips. There is a tomato and green avocado dip for chips. I’ve been to other Tex mex and even Mexican restaurants but can honestly say this is the best salsa in town. I even use the red salsa for my tacos and nachos. Definitely check this Tex Mex restaurants. You won’t regret it!

I have visited Gringos many times and have always been impressed with the food and service. Tonight was great, Lyric was pleasant and serviced us(my group of 5) with a delicious meal and drinks with a smile. During our meal we noticed a gentleman that was obviously intoxicated seated near us. I noticed how JD took control, by questioning the woman with this guy, insuring that he was not driving. JD even followed them outdoors to make sure this guy was not driving! We need more of this type of behavior by employees of businesses that serve alcoholic beverages!

Been going here for 13 years. Now it’s just filled with loud-mouthed, self-righteous«thugs.» Too bad that management can’t control all the bad seeds.

Ok so I replied to Gringo’s request for more information. There apology included a free queso. This shows how much they don’t give flips about your dining experience. Not sure how a free bowl of cheese dip says you apologize for shitty service? I am for sure never setting foot in a place that failed in the hospitality category. Thanks but no thanks.

As far as Tex-Mex places go, this isn’t the worst, but it does blend in with the crowd. My favorite dish is the El Presidente because there’s a lot of food for around $ 12! You can’t beat the fact that you get enchiladas, a chalupa, and a crispy taco with a side of beans and rice for such a good price! They did have this awkward cheesy fried tortilla on the plate too that just looked a bit out of place, but I didn’t mind too much. The enchiladas were really good though, so if you’re a fan, I would suggest getting a plate of just the enchiladas. I do appreciate the fact that their chips and salsa comes with 2 different sauces so you get a bit of variety while you wait for your food. The service was pretty good and relatively quick. The servers were really nice and helpful. The atmosphere is fun and bright, and there’s plenty of room for everyone, but just know that if you have a party larger than 8, you’ll have to split up between tables. Also, don’t forget the free soft serve on the way out!

Worst experience ever, the waitress was inattentive and the management was no better. The people next to us arrived at least 15 minutes after we did and got their food first. It took 35 minutes for my husband and son to get their food. I chose not to eat because I lost my appetite when they assumed I was going to eat before my son. I will not come back to gringos if I am about to pass out from starvation. My sons burger and fries were cold and my husband nachos didn’t look to pleasing either.

You have to come to Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen… but only if you are looking for great food and good service. The staff is awesome and the the food is off the chain. Make sure to order any Margarita… they are all wonderful.

Terrible food with terrible atmosphere. We went there for lunch. The best lace had a old style look and the service was excellent. However the food quality was very average.

Pretty cool Mexican restaurant. The services is very speedy. There is hardly a wait during weekdays but on weekends the wait could be very lengthy(30−45min) I’m not big fan of their appetizers other than just salsa and chips. The margaritas and other drinks are delightful ! We been cut off for having to bit too much. It was a disappointment but also an appreciation to know some places still care about your safety and well-being after you leave their establishment. Even if it’s to avoid a lawsuit Kmsl!!! After trying most of the items on the menu I’m partial to the beef fajitas or my ultimate favorite the beef fajita bowl(a little piece of heaven). This place deserves more than 5 stars for never making a mistake on any of our orders; keeping the service prompt and welcoming. Lastly for accommodating my wife’s birthday party of over 20 with excellent service and also for having some of the strongest drinks any restaurant has to offer in the area!

This Gringo’s has huge verity of seating areas. and has enough parking space. i do really enjoy going to girngos for their fresh fajitas, and nachos. I do understand they’re always busy, therefore i don’t usually go expecting excellent service. with that being said I’d like to also add that their ice cream machine is totally lacks flavor i hope they look into it.

Well designed restaurant! Great atmosphere. My qualms with this restaurant is their management of the waiting list and seating arrangements. Our server must have been swapped because he struggled, but I didn’t stress that to much since he had a cool name, Pablo. My fish tacos were delicious! I don’t drink so I’m not sure of their happy hour drink specials, but I’m sad they don’t have a happy hour food menu. That would be great. Music would compete the whole experience but it wasn’t available that night, which was sad

They have the usual hustle and bustle of any Restaurant with a hint questionable cleanliness. However I gave it a whirl and I tried something new tonight The POLLOMARISCO. I cannot believe I had been by passing this dish with Shrimp, Crawfish, Grilled Chicken & white wine cream sauce; Im impressed. Try it You’ll Thank Me!

Man-oh-man after a horrible experience at another wanna be Tex– mex place that recently opened in Katy, I am excited to say that Gringos did the damn thing! We drove from Katy(suburb) to come here and we were not disappointed! Not that I have ever had a bad experience i patronizing any of the Gringo locations. While the wait was a bit long, it was worth the wait! I love food! This place was awesome from the and salsa, to the fruit infused Cocktails to the wonderful, hearty tortilla soup! The corn tortillas were fresh and well prepared. The strawberry lemonade was a tad sweet but topped it with water. Service was stellar and for a family four $ 70 with a rita! I am hooked. The fajitas were tender and Flavored well, we will return

Another favorite of mine is the pollo marisco which comes with shrimp and crawfish tails on top of grilled chicken breast served with white wine sauce. It comes with rice and beans as sides too. I also asked for tortillas too. It is delicious and very filling with and without tortillas!

I would give 3.5 stars. Although very noisy still enjoyed atmosphere. Chips/salsa/guacamole stuff good. I got the Plato Rodriguez which consisted of a chalupa, enchilada, nacho, beans and rice. Chalupa very tasty. Beef fajitas always flavor. Esplove the fresh jalapeño. I was to get ranchero sauce so sent that bk for redo. Nice for text mex.

I know what to expect food wise at a generic Mexican food place like this. But, for the price can’t they train wait staff to get your drink and then come back 5 min after food is delivered??? I can suck on my empty drink all day and not one waiter will ask if you need a refill !! Sad

Food was delicious but the service sucked! I sat at the bar &2 bartenders stood at the opposite end cleaning, talking or doing whatever but never acknowledging me. I got up to leave after 10 min & the hostess asked if everything was ok? I told her that no one took my order. She asked me to have a seat, then went & spoke to someone. 15 seconds later I had service. Luckily, I was hungry & I know the food is good. Otherwise, I would have kept walking. Needless to say, even after my order was taken service didn’t get much better :-(

Gringo’s is the place to go for fajitas. Fresh hot and steaming when coming to table and always plenty to go around… Either the 2 for one or even 1 plate of fajita beef, it’s more than enough to fill. Their queso is absolutely amazing; it comes in a chip bowl, which is cool! Might be a bit too thick, but overall who doesn’t love queso? Their complimentary salsa and chips are also good. Great place to go have fajitas with family and friends. Our service is always great here :) the servers are super helpful and friendly.

I have been here maybe 4 – 5 times. Decent Tex-Mex, pretty good service. It does get VERY crowded on weekends. It feels very chain-ey and because the food isn’t superb, in a sea of real mexican and above par tex-mex…it’s just okay. Good place for like preteen-early 20 bday dinners and work day lunches.
