Best Mexican food in town! Place has been amazing for over 20 years! 1 of 2 restaurants in a small chain the food is great, decent prices and the staff is excellent! I highly recommend the shrimp Diablo and the soup! Great place to relax, unwind and enjoy some awesome Tex-Mex!

This place must be family owned, because they always seem to remember me and my wife when we stop there to eat. The service is outstanding, and their fajitas are as perfect as I have ever had. Great price also.

Can’t complain about anything. The service was great. The staff worked together as a team to wait and serve. The salsa was delicious as was the food. Comfortable chairs and environment. Good music playing too.

Haven’t even received my food yet but the salsa is absolutely disgusting! No flavor and the only one they have to choose from! Asked if there were drink specials and was told no. I then looked further on the menu and low and behold there’s bloody mary specials. To bad Lopez restaurant is closed today. I do not recommend this place to anyone! The waiter whatever his name is doesn’t even know the menu! Complimentary soup is just sad and I had to ask for it. I remember years ago at the original one they had a bean soup this is nothing but broth and some sad vegetables. What a disappointment! I can’t even believe the lack of service I have received! They aren’t even busy and it’s mothers day. That speaks volumes in itself!

I work near by and come often for lunch. Never been disappointed with anything Ive ordered. Tip though, it’s dark in there. Like really dark. Even during lunch time. Open up some shades or turn up the lights a little during the day, seems kinda gloomy. Oh, and I like how now they give you a complimentary cup of veggie soup.

Tenderloin diabolos. Medium rare. Just go order them. The broccoli con queso is absolutely wonderful. I ordered this dish the first time I walked into the place. I always think to myself«I should try something else» then the thought of fork-tender filet wrapped around jalapeño and grilled to perfection calls. Get the large order. They’re still wonderful the next day(unless someone raids the fridge and finds them first) Margaritas are solid.

Great place to eat. The service was excellent and the food really good. I had the Plato Mexicano with chicken flautas. They were nice and crispy. The soup is very tasty and the chips fresh and warm. Great place!

The fajita meat is so good, but the«signature soup» was served at room temperature, and the menu is dishonest about the price of the enchiladas. I went there twice. The first time I got the chicken tortilla soup, which came out room temperature and without chicken. When I complained, they took the soup back and just put some chicken in it; it was still not hot. But I figured, OK the meat is tender, just don’t order their«signature soup». I came back for the three enchilada meal. The menu says it’s $ 8.99 for 3, and«add $ 1 for fajita meat». What they didn’t tell me until the bill came, is that’s actually $ 1 extra per enchilada! So instead of $ 9.99 it’s actually $ 11.99! When I told the waiter that was misleading, he shrugged like I just should have already known. Not coming back here.

Why? Why are there good reviews of this place? Yes, the service is excellent but the food is about as bland as it gets. Don’t let the smell of burning wood outside get ur hopes up. It’s over priced, limited on the menu, and did I mention bland? Salsa tastes like nothing, «borracho» beans have very little flavor, rice tastes like air, and the fajitas are barely marinated. If u want cheap crappy bland Mexican food save a little money and go to Casa Olé, another dump. This place almost has pappasito prices. Never be back.

One of my favorite Mexican joints in Houston. The food gets an easy 4 stars never had anything here that was no bueno, but the service here is by far the best of any Mexican restaurant in houston. All the servers work together as a team and you never go left unattended not to mention they are all very friendly.

Pretty standard fare Mexican food. I ordered a soft taco, an enchilada, and a tamale. I did not enjoy the tamale, but everything else was pretty good. The happy hour is great! I ordered a frozen margarita and it was delicious! The Salsa is pretty spicy, so be aware. On a Friday night it was pretty crowded and noisy, but comfortable. Food was served quickly and service was great! I’ll be coming back for sure!

Typical T ex — Mex but they get 4 stars for the amount of fresh guacamole given and they currently have a half of lb special on fajitas I think it was 10.77 with tax. Got to love it

Was looking to satisfy my taco craving. Unfortunately, Soliz Casa De Tacos was closed, so I went back into the Stafford area to find some tacos. I found Fajita Flats. Even though from the outside it didn’t look to appealing(very old décor), I know looks are always deceiving. I decided to give it a try. The inside reminded me of places I went to in Tijuana when I was kid. It was large, open seating with people drinking beers and watching sports on the mounted TV’s. the atmosphere was lively, loud, and very appealing. They were advertising a ½ pound beef fajitas special for $ 9, but I decided to go for the two item plate. I got beef burrito and fish tacos, with Mexican rice and refried beans on the side. The servers were very helpful, and gave me a complimentary drink while I waited. I probably only waited less than 10 minutes. The food was solid. The fish was fresh, not over battered in bread, but straight up generous pieces in a medium sized soft taco. You could tell that this is the real deal. The beef burrito was tasty, and matched well with the beans and the rice. The entire plate was a good size and worth it for $ 8. The salsa was good, but the chips were just average. Next time I’d like to try the fajitas. Reasonable priced dishes, would love to sample all of them!

Fajita Flats reminds me of eating during Spring Break at a makeshift Mexican border town restaurant with its gaudy décor, greasy tacos, and gripping festiveness. With a kitchen and bar located in the middle of the dining room there is one promise to be found here: it is Margarita and Fajita time somewhere. What no peddling Mariachi? They along with the abandoned Rock-ola accumulating dust in the corner, have been supplanted by a digital jukebox hanging aimlessly on the wall(Jason Derulo’s «Billie Jean» is infectiously playing in the background). Margaritas served in cheap plastic beer mugs, validate the border town experience, tacky yes, delightful they are. Complimentary soup is ready as you sit at one of the large wooden tables which are great for groups. Performing as a collective, the attentive waitstaff gives excellent service. Almost everything on the menu is good, but I favor the The Sampler: Fajita Nachos, Quesadillas, Chicken Mini Flautas and Chile con Queso. I wholeheartedly suggest visiting Fajita Flats for Happy Hour, Linner, or watching a ballgame. Enjoy!

Not a spectacular menu, fajitas and the usual Mexican fare. Everything I’ve ever eaten here was average. Good service, attentive staff. The waiters like to chat and even offer complimentary soup from the chef but the fajitas, quail, shrimp diablo, margaritas are good but nothing spectacular. Large open restaurant. I think they have Dj or live band on certain nights but I’ve only been here for lunch and it’s normally dead. There are plenty other Mexican places nearby.

I suggest taking people here for their birthday. The huge sombrero, the stick horse, the loud birthday song… It’s good stuff. Especially if they’ll play along and ride the horse around the restaraunt. This is one of the restaraunts in my ‘lunch’ rotation. So I’ve been here a few times, and I’ve tried, or my table mates have tried most of the menu. I’ve never had bad food. We’ve also never had bad service. The service is probably overbearing, but you are never wanting for anything. The chips are always good, and seem fresh. The salsa is a little light, but still has good flavor. It’s a little more watery than I prefer, but still good. The starter soup is delicious. The piece of avocado in it that’s slightly melty… heaven. I usually get the quesadillas, and the large is a generous portion that is just more than enough than I can handle.(And I’m a big dude.) They do have a small, but I’m worried that it wouldn’t be enough. I guess I’ll have to order it one day and see. I’ve also had fajitas, tamales, enchiladas, and all were delicioius. Now, about the flameado. If you like cheese, get it. If you like seeing things on fire, get it. It might be better shared as I just couldn’t manage several pounds of cheese in one sitting alone.(But I tried, and it was good. Until it started cooling and solidified… Kinda gross.)

Love the complimentary soup. Love the great service. You have a waiter but other people stop by filling up drinks and chips and even get you another margarita– hey can’t beat that. The food is good and reasonably priced. It’s always noisy here, music and tvs so don’t expect quiet dining but the food is good. Pork enchiladas– awesome.
