Wings were great, but decided for my main course to have the western mill burger. The burger came out perfectly dressed with fresh tomato and lettuce. When I bite into the burger I knew instantly that it was burned. I even ordered it with pink in the middle. Waiting staff is wonderful, but chefs can be sub-par.

Forget about the low rating. Great place to chill and very nice customer service. If I had to suggest something it would be the Garden Flatbread. Only thing is show up before the dinner crowd cause this place gets packed.

Great to have a restaurant attached to a Hampton Inn! Ate at the bar last night, ordering a couple of appetizers. Food was typical bar fare. Decent Happy Hour deals. Service was attentive. I’d definitely be back when business brings back to the Hampton Inn.

Horrible service. Short haired blonde server was incredibly rude and down right mean. I would go out of my way to never go there again. Apparently they don’t like wedding parties who are willing to pay and tip better…

After reading some of the reviews here, I was hesitant to go to the Green Mill, but it was close to where we were staying, so we decided to try it. We were very glad we did! My husband had a delicious pasta dish — shrimp arrabbiata– and I had the shrimp stir fry salad which was very tasty! Our server, Tianna, was so sweet and helpful in answering our questions about what to order. We had 2 other folks come by to make sure we had what we wanted/needed. All in all, it was a great experience so don’t let the negative reviews keep you from trying it!

nicely redone indoor décor, and the new patio outside is finally done w/a lovely fire area. I wish they’d left a bit more patio to the sunshine for our few sunny days. Great food and selection of drinks.

I feel bad to even be writing this. I understand completely that they are currently renovating the facility. That was not the issue. I came in with a party of 9. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a seat which was expected, it being new years day and all. Although the place was not slam packed. We got seated, got our drinks ordered in a timely manner. The food came out in spurts. the two children got their food first. Which is fine but there seemed a long gap in between so they were done eating well before the adults. Then 2 of us ordered nachos and we got those before everyone else. And they were 3 cheese and the cheese was melted but it did not string and they were barely warm which leads me to believe they sat there for awhile. And the guacamole had a brown tint. All the other food was fine. The waitress forgot one appetizer that was the first thing ordered. And forgot my lemon for my lemon water, and she walked across the bar with a single lemon in her bare hand to give me to put in my water. Meanwhile about half way through my nachos I come across a hair, not just a single hair, it was attached to a knot of hair intertwined into the melted cheese! I was disgusted. Half of us got refills when our waitress came to the table we all had just ice and refills weren’t even offered. They did take my nachos and the soda off of the tab but quite honestly I felt like both of our meals should have been free just with the type of service we recieved. We were sympathetic about the construction but it just didn’t seem like the place was that busy to have such bad service. Green Mill is typically one of my favorite places to dine. When it’s good it’s great but this location gave me a very bad experience. Giving 2 stars because the kids loved their pizza and smoothies.

A little lunch grab before I had my ass handed to me at Flaherty’s in some bowling. The hotel it’s adjoined with was under construction, which was fine, there was no work going on that caused an annoyance during lunch. Although, I could imagine at another time it might — so be warned about that. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to GM. Back in the day at the one in Maplewood, it seemed like at one time it was good, then the quality overall of the food went down and I just stopped. The one on Grand seemed to be a bit better, but, still nothing overly special. Then I found myself at this one willing to give it another go. And it’s the last go. I went with the Tequila Lime Chicken Salad. Which, let me forewarn anyone, if you plan on kissing your significant other within a days time, do NOT order this. You will have the most god awful breath that will attract skunks and strip corrosion off a car battery. The salad itself, left a lot to be desired. The«chicken» strips themselves that came on it looked like those Tyson frozen things that you can nuke from the grocery store. They certainly didn’t have the taste of grilled chicken. The salad itself, romaine lettuce, was cut strip wise mixed with what seemed like coleslaw iceberg? I eat a lot of romaine salads, but, cutting the lettuce maybe a centimeter wide is just not a god idea. It has absolutely no flavor at all, and mixed with the iceberg crap is just not a good mix. Not to mention the texture is that of fake, presentation parsley(and yes, I’ve ate the presentation green stuff on plates to know this). Flavor wise overall, definitely needs more grilled lime action in there. Throw in some actual cilantro too, just don’t put it in the description. My date went with the chicken parm. Very big proportion and wasn’t half bad actually. I’ve definitely had better, and worse, chicken parms in my day. Breading was a bit on the thick side, so, if you’re not the biggest breading fan for this, be warned. Service was solid. No complaints on that side. But, the overall quality of food leaves me with no questions as to why I stopped eating here a while back.

Staying at the Hampton Inn last week for work, there were limited options for food but I was happy to see the usual hotel bar was replaced with an actual bar and restaurant. Stopped in my first night and was happy with the experience, there is a decent tap list including local Summit brews and the happy hour included a list of apps for only $ 5.99. I tried the chipotle chicken nachos one day and the personal pizza the next. Honestly for bar food and for the price, this place is awesome. Update: Although this does seem minor, its worth pointing out since this is a restaurant attached to a hotel which i’m sure sees its fair sure of business travelers. Both meals at the Green Mill were not charged on my card until the next day — this made my expense reporting way off since my receipt was dated one day but the transaction wasnt posted until the following date. Just an FYI for those whom that would apply to — its a very odd occurance and one that caused me a headache.

I have been to Minnesota a lot in the last 2 months and this is the only Green Mill that does it right. The service here(ladies in the bar) is perfect and the food is outstanding as well. My first visit this summer the pizza was completely messed up, but they made it right and a month later when I was in town they remembered me the minute I sat down and made sure everything was perfect, and it was. This is the only Green Mill I will visit when I’m in town but I truly look forward to it in a couple months.

Average at best. Service was great but the place is very loud and needs 2014 us grades. If I had other options I would go but due to work I am here. Last night had wings while good and a very nice sauce too much hurts here. Enough sauce for 18 and only had nine, if it was on the side ok but already on. Beer selection do drafts is very weak with so many great locals micros in area. Will go elsewhere if I have too. Guess what I get from even a local chain.

Were at the hotel across the road last weekend. Ordered delivery Pizza/Wing Special on Friday night. Wings were fine! Pizza was way less than good — ordered sausage and mushroom and it had hardly any toppings and was really pretty tasteless — disappointed. Ordered again on Sat. night, sandwiches this time. They were very good and so big that we had to take some home w/us the next day.

Hmm, can’t speak for the bad reviews here because I’ve had tasty food and good service there every time. I typically order the $ 20 pizza & wings deal here and have always been satisfied with the quality. The pizza is a decent New York style, although I’d like to see a little more sauce on it. The wings are fantastic– especially if you want to try spicier styles that have deep flavor and aren’t just hot for the sake of being hot.

If you are a fan of Green Mill avoid this location, you’ll only get your heart broken. Customer service is hit or miss and so is the food. My orders are correct about 25% of the time. Not sure how they manage to consistently forget the avocados on the turkey, bacon and avocado wrap or forget to tell you they are out before you order. It’s all in the details and this location doesn’t seem to care.

I used to go to this Green Mill all the time when it was good(15 years ago). Within the last 5 years or so it has gone down hill. Back in the day they had a rockin’ blackened catfish, but that has since swam away from the Green Mill. Now I think the food is poorly made and over priced for the quality. The service is still good however and the atmosphere hasn’t changed much. Those are the only real attractors for me. Sorry Green Mill, you were better in the good ol’ days.

I enjoy Green Mill pizza, I really prefer a thin crust pizza, but the hand tossed pizza at Green Mill is very good. The sauce is well done and the sausage is very good. Their app selection is good as well, if you are just looking for a place to grab a beer and some munchies, this place works well.

OK, so I haven’t writtena review for a while. I haven’t had a dining experience that was worth my time commenting about. To be quite frank most have been dull in as much as service and food quality was just about acceptable. Today I was handed a reason to write a review, indifferent service and equally indifferent food. So today we decided to go out and get breakfast and then I had a meeting with a client, my wife was going to hang at IKEA whilst I had my meeting. I suppose the ice coverered parking lot should have been a warning sign, but we pressed on. The hostess was having a conversation on the phone, giving directions, but she avoided eye contact with us, another warning sign. Just a look and a smile would have been helpful to let us know that we were noticed and valued, valuing a customer is so important. Phone call over she seated us. Ourserver arrived, she was in a hurry, she rattled off the deal, sort of. Never having been to their Sunday brunch we didn’t know how it worked. She brought coffee, well it was black, had a coffee’ish aroma, so it was coffee! Very strong with a burnt taste, not good. So this is a serve yourself buffet with a mixture of breakfast and other foods, pizza, mac and cheese? OK I old fashioned but for $ 14 per person I was expecting something better. The eggs were a huge overcooked glob of cheesy egg rubbery goop. The sausage links were remarkably good, moist and flavorful not unlike English or Irish sausages. The bacon was greasy, was once crisp butnow just chewy and plasticy. Biscuits and cream gravy, a very southern breakfast staple, I had a biscuit and a spoonful of gravy, well, the biscuit was soft, fluffy and light, just right. The gravy was too salty. Keep trying and oneday they willget it right, I won’t be there to check but they can try. So what can I say that’s good about my Green Mill brunch experience: well it didn’t last long. Don’t eat brunch at Green Mill. Go to McDonalds and save about $ 25.

Since this is chain, I think my comments for one will apply equally to all. Basically your Bennigans/Fridays/Applebees type of place. I’ve tried mostly the pizza and can’t say I’ve been terribly impressed. The emphasis seems to be more on quantity than quality. Their specialy pizza, the deep dish, has not much over an Unos frozen pizza, with too much sauce and not enough cheese and fillings. The atmosphere is lively and the bar section is usually full if you are in to that sort of thing. A good place to go if someone else is picking up the tab, but I’m going to start spending my hard earned dollars elsewhere.
