Knocking them down a star due to limited hours. I used to enjoy an evening cup of coffee or a latte but they only open until 4 pm now! Sad face.

Went in a couple weekends ago and had the worst tasting espresso drink I’ve had in years! So dry & bitter, I’m not sure where they learned their techniques — not sure if was it the beans(burnt?), the machine or the pour. I would agree also with the previous reviewer as far as atmosphere, it is pretty cold, sparse and not very relaxing inside. If you ever came when it was Laughing Ladies, you may have also gotten a cold presence from the staff, alas not much has changed in that regard either. It’s too bad, because North City could use a good neighborhood coffee house. Unfortunately, this is not it.

I’m not sure what this coffee shop wants to be when it grows up. I haven’t been here since it was Laughing Ladies. They’ve cleaned up the interior and did a little construction in the seating area. Some of the tables look the same, but there are way fewer tables and it felt like there was a lot of unused space. The coffee was decent(ala Caffe Appassionato) and they only had a handful of food items on their menu board. They sell beer, too. Now, I’m not a prude, but I’d like to see a coffee shop stand on its own before getting into the business of selling alcohol. Most surprising was the 4:00pm closing time during the week. I got there at 3:00pm so at 4:00pm I packed up and went looking for another coffee shop in which to work. In spite of Seattle being full of coffee shops, most seem to close between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. I’ve never understood this. So for the Bounty to close at 4:00pm is even more surprising. Like I said, I’m not sure what the plans are for this coffee shop. It seems to be dabbling in a number of areas and doing an average job in each. It’s a rare find in this part of Seattle and I hope that it blossoms into a place that draws a lot of loyal customers.

4.2÷5.0: :: June 6th20151:40pm: : : — One of the first coffee shops which steamed my milk foam for a good consistency. Espresso was very light, but I didn’t mind. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend their espresso for a coffee connoisseur, but would be amazing tasting for the regular coffee drinker, as was light flavor and strength but retained a taste(to be honest I was kinda addicted.) — The store was very open, and because of this it had more of a warehouse feel than a coffee shop. There were not very many tables for the space(I believe 6 or 7), nor were there many customers in the store, as I only saw three. — Due to light customer traffic, I was the only individual in line, but my drink took a little more time than I would have liked(about two and a half minutes for a single drink). — Did not have anything to eat, but the pastries looked standard for a coffee shop. — Customer service was okay, didn’t really feel a connection with the employees but weren’t snotty either like some baristas. — In my opinion, prices were a little steep. Wasn’t sure quality of the espresso they were using but their milk was the standard supermarket kind. Cost $ 3.89 for my tall drink, nothing added. I felt it was worth about $ 3.50. — Hours weren’t the best(closed at 2pm weekends and 4pm weekdays) but I didn’t mind them as is, nor would I if I was a regular customer. Summary: Pluses — Had good steamed milk, espresso tasted better than most coffee shops, WiFi, open tables, not crowded. Negatives — No connection with Batista, very open space(could be positive to some), sparsely furnished shop, a little on expensive side and not as fast as I would have wanted. If store employee reads: Changes I would recommend is running shots a little longer to have a slightly stronger shot, as there wasn’t much heart. Lower the prices on certain drinks by a couple of dimes, furnish store a little more, and try to connect with customers a little better(ex ask how was your day, any exciting plans, etc.)

I found my new favorite study café in shoreline! Yay! This place is awesome. It’s large in space, enough to fit a generous amount of people who are looking for lots of big and small wooden tables, chairs, and OUTLETS for their study sessions. They played some sort of country music in the background, I don’t mind since I had my earphones in anyways. But the barista was friendly, and the iced americano was not bad at all! It’s big enough to hold larger meetings as well, instead of cramming at starbucks.

Good coffee with a solid seating area for study groups or coffee with a couple of friends. The staff is always prompt and courteous. I would love to see more food items on the menu and longer evening hours. I was surprised when meeting a friend for coffee on a weeknight that they were closed at 4pm.

As a regular weekend customer I’ve always received my drink within minutes even when they are slammed. The staff is efficient and believe that it is feasible to only need one person.

The coffee is good, the atmosphere is great, and the location is very convenient to us. However, there is never more than one person behind the counter. As a result, we generally wait 15 minutes for a cup of coffee even with only two or the people in front of us. We come here most Sundays and usually only have 20 or 30 minutes before we have to move on. With the average wait times we are experiencing we will have to find another shop to go to.

Hours need to be changed… They’re only open till 4pm now on weekdays and 2pm on weekends. I’m not sure what kind of coffee shop this is but those are some weak hours

Love the Tuesday night Bluegrass Jam there — great place to grab some grub and enjoy or play along with the show!

I’m happy to have this place close to me. The coffee is great. They have some gluten free options(GF, not by choice), which is important. The environment is friendly and inviting. I can get work done if I come early enough. They have free Wi-Fi, and a small kids play section(limited toys). It does start getting crowded throughout the day. Rainy days are nice here with the big windows. There is parking in the back, albeit limited.

Solid 4 stars. Fair prices, decent selection of drinks and café standard foods — some pastries and even some panini options. Staff is super friendly(and overlap with their Wallingford location). They have a spicy or a sweet chai — I had the spicy one(twice) and it was good. I withheld one star because the café doesn’t have the best acoustics muffling(or whatever you call it) so if you sit too close to a chatty table, you will hear them loud and clear. High ceilings and big dark tables though, and the chatter wasn’t unbearable. Also, I had a turkey chipotle panini and it was a little bland. Did have a very fair portion of turkey in it and nice bread, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. Easy neighborhood parking usually within two blocks. I posted up here for most of an afternoon and it was quite pleasant. The internet quality went in and out for me(though that could be because of the Yosemite update I just did on my Macbook) but I would come back.

I love this place! Have been here quite a few times now(5 to be exact) to make an accurate review! So coffee is awesome! café appassionato is a great local roaster that I only thought had locations in the Seattle area, so glad they have one here in the north end! The place is big and spacious with an industrial feel but yet you still feel at home like you should in a café. They have decent food items, a little pricey, but hey it’s a café. They have local artists play on Tuesday night! Open Mic on the weekends! Flowing beer and wine on tap! All in all, this place while industrial which gives it a more Western feel, has the great atmosphere of a European café! I will be a repeat customer for quite some time, probably will spend many of nights here once I am 21!(5 more months)

Sadly there are very few options in Shoreline for good coffee shops, so I really want this place to make it because I think it has potential. However, they have much to improve upon. Baristas need better training, espresso shots need to be counted, they need thermometers while steaming milk, etc. More often than not the milk is scalded and the espresso is burned. They would also improve on the space by simply purchasing heavy curtains for every window and putting nice big rugs on the floor. Right now it’s a big cold concrete feeling room that echoes. I like that they have gluten free egg and ham breakfast sandwiches. That really is the draw for me when I need breakfast on my way to work.

Shoreline doesn’t have all that many coffee shops which are conducive to studying for a couple hours or meeting up with friends. The Bounty has a nice open air feeling, with the usual coffee and tea offerings found in most Seattle area coffee shops, as well as local pastries and a handful of sandwiches available for snacking on. In addition, there’s a couple of taps for those looking for a beer while at this coffee joint. They do have parking in the lot behind their shop, but the slight hill may prove to be difficult for those with mobility issues. I’ve been in probably a half dozen times over the past couple months, and the service has always been cheery and upbeat. My go to drinks are usually double short lattes or an iced americao– the coffee itself is inconsistent, ranging from poorly aerated, scalded milk and over extracted/bitter espresso to average/forgettable quality drinks. I’ve had one latte that was exceptionally smooth and creamy, but I haven’t seen that particular employee in subsequent visits. Beautiful space, decent parking scenario, but inconsistent. Not a place I’ll go out of my way to visit, but will come by when I’m in the area.

So I went on here for a quick breakfast. The sandwich was amazing 5 stars but the hot coco was terrible. It was luke warm and didn’t have any chocolate flavor. Tasted like warm milk with a hint of chocolate. Waste of money. The sanwhich was good enough that I would go back.

The east coast panini is really good. They also have an array of salads, a variety of beers on tap and of course, great coffee

What piqued my interest the most about this place(besides the fact that it is about a 2 minute walk from my place), is the interior of the shop. It is very modern, and has a homey feeling to it. Almost like walking into a cabin that’s been remodeled into a modernized, up-scale home. The ambience is very soothing/relaxing, and puts me at ease. I come here from time to time should I feel the need to study somewhere instead of the library. While I’m not a coffee drinker, their Chai tea was very warming for the soul on a snowy day, and there are plenty of drink options and even sandwiches for those interested in getting a quick bite to eat. There are a fair amount of chairs and tables inside, and lots of outlets, so don’t lug around that multiple-outlet connector you might bring to a Starbucks, cause The Bounty’s got you covered. Lastly, their music selection here is EXCELLENT. I don’t even need to bring my headphones to block out the music that some other coffee shops play. It has a laid-back, chill feel to it, which I enjoy immensely each time I visit. Clean, modern, «hip», The Bounty provides a good nest for those who want to kick back with a book in their hand(next to their oh so warm fireplace), or for friends who want to catch up with a drink.

The coffee here is well-prepared. The pastries/sandwiches are a little bland, but practical. The baristas are generally friendy enough, and the music generally is good enough for me to keep the headphones off. The times I’ve been in, it’s been a lot of people like me(either out of work or working independently) working on laptops. The ambience is a little too understated, but for a quick hour or two of project work, it was easy to feel comfortable. Plenty of sockets for charging a laptop or phone.

My husband and I LOVE The Bounty. We have gone about a half a dozen times now And every time we are happier than the last. I wonder about the reviews that claimed That their barista wasn’t friendly. Perhaps she no longer works there because the ones I have interacted with were a total pleasure. I agree thr large spacious room needs something to tie it together and cozy up the atmosphere… hanging tapesteies or some Sort of throw rug might help. It feels a bit sterile however I would still go there And spend timr because the vibe is so cool. The art kicks ass too. I’m also thrilled that they have vegan sandwiches… being a vegan in North city it can be hard to find good places to eat for breakfast. I hope they stick around!!!
