Used to eat here for lunch when I lived in the area, and I couldn’t get enough of their pita sandwiches. Delicious! I especially loved the Spicy Mediterranean. They would always sub a salad instead of the potatoes for me which was always appreciated. Never been here for dinner, but just remembering their delicious grub makes me think it’s about time I stopped back in!

Exceptionally reasonable lunch special for $ 6, which includes half a panini sandwich and caesar salad(or other salad of your choosing) which is the perfect amount of food. Not too much and satisfied my hunger! I have only been here once now for lunch, however I am thinking it will become one of my regular lunch spots during the week. The quality of the sandwich was suberb, the bread was super fresh. This is by far the best quality sandwich I have had in Belltown during lunch hour at this price and I have been everywhere… I am not sure why it was almost empty, maybe people just don’t know about it or do not think of it as a lunch spot… they also offer a really appealing brunch and happy hour that I cannot wait to try! I will definitely be back… Pros: amazing panini sandwich/salad lunch special for $ 6, quality not compromised by price(super fresh), happy hour from 3 – 7, decent service and coffee shop/loungy ambience. Cons: waiter service only(I believe) so you have to have time to sit and eat, and the fact that it was basically empty during lunch hour… not sure if that was a con however…

I love the vibe of Zeitoon. Almost feels like you’re in a coffee shop, where everyone is grabbing a quiet drink, while reading a book or having an intellectual chat. Their wine was a tad watery, but their food made up for it! Amazing happy hour specials for wine and appetizers! :) Yummy toasted pita bread with hummus and falafels… yes please!

I had a very nice experience here. I’m gluten-free, and the server had no qualms about accommodating me! I had a salmon salad, which was very tasty and fresh. They had a nice wine and beer selection. It was a great place for a date — we were there during the dinner/happy hour, so it wasn’t overly crowded and the service was good. We definitely didn’t experience any of the negative things I have read in the reviews below.

I always go to Zeitoon for lunch and from my perspective, the best thing about the café is that you can eat there a few times/week and always order a different combination of dishes that are just as delicious as what you had the other day. If you like soup, Zeitoon offers a unique one each day along w/lentil & tomato soup every day. I can’t say enough about the soup — they’re creative, healthy, & delicious — always w/fresh ingredients. I usually ask what the soup is but it doesn’t really matter because I always get the soup of the day(because I know it’s going to be a treat). I recently tried the sliders for the first time and was blown away. The pita and traditional sandwiches are also top notch and reasonably priced, especially if you get the ½ sandwich w/soup. Delicious pasta dishes as well — again fresh ingredients and subtle sauces. Enjoy!

Great spot for happy hour in the non-glitzy part of Belltown. Good selection of Mediterranean grub with a focus on Greek cuisine. The HH menu gives a nice taste of the main menu and the wine pour a pretty damn generous. Check out the aubergine rolls.

We had a large party for a very small/cozy atmosphere. The restaurant was clearly not prepared for a party that size(10+). Entrees took more than an hour to arrive. A lot of the food was only lukewarm when it arrived. This restaurant is advertised as a Greek restaurant but at least half the menu consists of American food. I ordered chicken shish kebab and I can have better ones elsewhere for less price. The appetizer was mediocre but not bad. There was not enough mushroom sauce for the mash potato for the party and we had some substitute that looked and tasted like canned mushroom soup. Overall, the restaurant had good atmosphere and a live band(band’s volume could tune down a bit), the server was nice and tried hard to keep us happy. But the restaurant was clearly not ready for a large party and I probably would not return if I wanted authentic Greek food.

Not really impressed… and won’t be in a hurry to return. The server was nice and very strict about seeing our ID’s(we are both well over 21 — so somewhat amusing). The bar was incredibly loud — the customers that night were so rowdy and kept screaming. I was a little surprised, but it is a bar. The menu looks amazing… but The sampler platter was ok — except for the falafel(which was dry) it was a little bit of everything and were good to munch on. The gyros were overstuffed and messy(not a bad thing). We ordered 2 different kinds but couldn’t really tell the difference between them… which was disappointing since one was supposed to be spicy and the other was not. The potatoes that were part of the meal were over-spiced and the salad was salty and too acidic. The reason why this received 2 stars from me — the warm baklava was frozen in the middle — yikes… not a great way to end the meal. Dessert is my favorite part… and this just left me very disappointed.

This place is straight line mediocre good! The food is tasty, but nothing really special. It is across the street from my place, so I come here often. But only because it is across teh street from my place. They have free wi-fi so I decided to write this review! The pitas are tasty but kind of salty. I was unimpressed by my lunch special today. The only thing that made my stay worthwhile today was Allen the bartender. He was very humurous and kept my interest long enough to stay beyond my lunch. The new bar tender is paying no heed to me because I’ve already paid out. I can’t blame her, but I certainly don’t praise her. I will be back, but it’s not because I love it. It’s because it’s convenient. That’s all. Not awesome, definitely not bad. Make sure you get some kind of special to make it worth your while. I won’t pay full price here.

We had walked by and seen the menu and thought it looked good. Gave up trying to get to Ballard for Happy Hour and walked into this place. They have a small outdoor patio, which, this being outer Belltown, has some interesting characters walking by. This is a quieter street in Bellotown though, so the setting is peaceful. $ 4HH wine were really nice selections. I’m not a Chardonnay girl, but theirs was good! We had the gyro pizza($ 7), baba ganoush, eggplant, spanakopita, dolmades. We were hungry. The spanakopita was a downer, but everything else was really delicious. Also, the dolmades weren’t the best I’ve had, they are skipable. Great service too, except I saw they wouldn’t give more pitas for the babaganoush when asked. Please, restaurants, either give us enough dippables ore reduce the size of the serving you give us. You’re killing us! Definitely a great, mellow place to check out.

I went here with Zak Z for dinner and I have to agree on how great the food tasted. I had the Lebanese Pita and it was oh so good. Plus the roasted crispy perfectly seasoned potatoes was out of this world. The service, food, environment was great! I would definitely come again.

I like Zeitoon. I like it a lot. I don’t go often enough, but every time I do I think«That was the right decision.» Today was one of those days. Their sandwiches are big and really good, and I am particularly partial to the classic gyro — lots of gyro meat, good vegetables, and tasty sauce. Roasted rosemary potatoes on the side? Now we’re talking. I’ve also had excellent turkey and chicken sandwiches, as well. Prices are a little higher than local competition but you do get more food for it — I don’t feel like my value per dollar is worse here than anywhere else comparable. There are a couple rough edges from time to time with serving but nothing’s ever been a major problem and I’ve never had impolite or unhelpful waitstaff. I’ve never been in for anything but lunch, but it’s a great spot to go. It’s pretty spacious inside with lots of windows so although the interior is fairly darkly decorated it’s still well lit and a nice place to sit down and have a good lunch.

My friends and I walked the five blocks from downtown to Zeitoon for dinner on a recent visit to Seattle. It looks like a neighborhood hangout, but I’m not sure if it’s a neighborhood watering hole or a neighborhood restaurant. On this particular night, since the bar was full and just about everybody knew each other and most of the tables had a couple of drinks on them, I’d say it was trying to be a neighborhood bar. That’s not to say that they don’t do food well, they do. The décor is sort of industrial chic and there aren’t more than a dozen or so tables for dining. And they have Manny’s(on tap!). There were actually two people working, the bartender and one server, even though the bartender was doing most of the work. Service was good, and nobody seemed overworked. And since the restrooms are accessed through the kitchen, I also knew there was only one cook in the house. I had the Veggie Panini which was excellent and my friends tried the Gyro and one of the pasta dishes. All of us were pleased, and despite the small staff, we didn’t have to wait for food or drinks. Prices on the food were good and the prices on the beer even better – $ 5 non-happy hour prices for a huge mug of beer(and Manny’s on tap!). They also have an excellent red wine selection for such a small place.

A group of us stopped in here for drinks prior to going out on Saturday night. Zeitoon is great, simple décor and a nice long bar. This café is not very big, but there was 11 of us and between putting a few tables together and setting at the bar, we had a great time. There was one bartender/server for the entire place, but she did a great job and our drinks were served very promptly. They have a Mediterranean cuisine menu that I did not get a chance to sample, but have quite a few appetizing options.

You know those places you step into and it just feels like home? Completely comfortable and relaxing? Zeitoon is that place. It’s my go-to bar, happy hour, and dinner place in Belltown. The first great part is the happy hour. $ 3 drafts, $ 4 wine & mixed drinks, and all sorts of appetizers from $ 3 – 7 dollars. The $ 3 hummus plate is awesome, and you can fill up for a $ 7 pizza. And the happy hour runs until 7pm, which is a rarity in Belltown. Portions are generous, and pours of wine are HUGE. Second, the food is fabulous. I’ve tried several things on the menu and have not been disappointed. The pitas are huge, and everything is well-spiced, mostly with great garlic(my fav). Third, it’s a nice cozy spot, never too crowded(hope it stays that way!) but still bustling. And it’s well-priced and super laid-back and casual(unlike the rest of Belltown). Finally, the servers and staff rock. Kayla is the best. She runs the entire restaurant most nights, and is very personable. Kayla, you rock. And as a final note to other commenters – yeah, the bathrooms are back through a hallway next to the kitchen. It comes from being underneath an apartment building, and sharing them with Uptown Espresso next door. No big deal.

Very stylish place on the inside, very modern place. Wide open and can be a little loud with a lot of people. But the staff was on top of it, and the food during happy hour was so good. It did take a little longer than I would imagine, but the taste of the food made up for the time it took. I would tell you to go and try this place out, the food was very tasty and worth the wait. I have walked by it many times and its always has people inside of it, so that’s a good sign.

This place is a great modern alternative to your typical run-of-the-mill Mediterranean restaurant. The location is on a quiet tree-lined street in Belltown and has a modern/trendy atmosphere. The menu has your traditional Greek/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern fare — everything from pita sandwiches to kebabs to hummus and baba ganoush. My only negative comment(before all my raves) is their bathroom that is accessed by walking through the kitchen and down a creepy industrial hallway. I never wanted to leave the modern cozy dining room. But on to the good news. They have an extensive selection of pita sandwiches and finally decided on the Moroccan chicken pita. It’s actually more like a ‘burrito’ with a great pita that is thin and perfectly crisp and completely en wrapping the delicious fillings which included juicy chicken, hummus, tabbouleh, and even a dolma(a traditional appetizer of rice and spices wrapped in a fig leaf) inside the pita. The blend of ingredients worked perfectly and was amazing. Everything was fresh too. Go there for a great experience!

Great for Happy Hour. We visited it on Saturday(BTW — happy hour starts at 3pm on Sat, not 5pm as listed on their website). They have an interesting beer on tap(Wailua Wheat — with Passion Fruit infusion) that really tasted great on a hot afternoon. Their happy hour food is really super — good quantities, tastes great, and is only $ 3! We had the Babaganoush, Falafel and Dolmades. Yum. The service was very good — friendly waiteress but she seemed to be the only one in the place(at least at 5pm). The owner is a friendly guy too. Overall I’d rate it a 5 for Happy Hour:) And if you’re wondering what Zeitoon stands for — it means Olive in Farsi.

This place is a little more unique than a traditional greek joint in my opinion. And by that I mean instead of the usual mix/match options of having a kebab, shwarma, felafel plate, wrap, or greek salad… you get giant stuffed pita pockets grilled on a sandwich press, paninis, and yummy apps. Their hummus and baba ganoush are delish. The dolmades were a lil too squishy in my opinion. the lentil soup was the tits. I guess if you’re looking for a twist on greek I’d come here, I mean my pitas were stuffed with tabouleh, dolmades, chicken, veg, and like 3 sauces. It was a glutton’s greek pouch. If you want a traditional kebab wrap I’d go to one of the many mom and pop joints around town.

Just putting this on the radar… because it’s awesome. I do NOT work with the affiliated people or get any perks other than good karma for mentioning it… has Zeitoon coupons! Using mine soon :) You can get $ 10 off a $ 20 purchase for lunch or $ 25 off a $ 35 purchase for dinner … get this… the $ 10 coupons I just got cost me $ 1.20! The $ 25 ones? $ 4! So yeah, I am seriously, honestly saving $ 21 off $ 35 dinners, $ 8.80 off $ 20 lunches. I don’t mind that one little bit. I just used one. They work here, and I’ve actually used em for years(my hometown radio station promoted them with a restaurant of the month, usually a new under-discovered spot like this…) the regular price is $ 3 for the $ 10 coupon and $ 10 for the $ 25(the only«catch» is that your tip, 18%, will be added, so DON’T ADDANOTHERTIPUNLESSYOUREALLYWANTTHEMTOGET33% !!)… Right now(time of me writing this!), though, use«GREEN» for 60% off… for a short time, «FEAST» is working for 70% off… «SEASON» and«SAVE» were others… just get their emails already(it’s a once a week«Save 60/70/80% email, not at all unwelcome mail for cheapo me)… sometimes it is as good as 80% off, and you just print it off(shop around for codes and you’ll find things like retailmenot that tell you what % of people had successful results recently with the code)…
