I usually come to WOW bubble tea because it is clean, convenient, and has decent bubble tea plus I get 10% off with my Check in! My bf usually gets the taro special and I usually try something new every time I come. However, today he decided to try the avocado coconut smoothie. I believe it was part of special smoothie category. Definitely not special. It tasted like overpowering coconut… and the more we tried it, it tasted like curry! No avocado taste whatsoever. He actually doesn’t like to try new things and these are the times that make him not want to try new things even more. He asked the girl in the front if there was any way he could get another drink and then she had to ask the owner in another language and translate whatever he said. It took a good minute for their conversation and she said they could only make a drink for half price. My bf asked how about a smaller size for a new drink she said no. She kept apologizing, it wasn’t her fault, she just works there as a cashier. I wish the owner would have taken a sip because if he did he would have totally given us another drink because it was THAT bad. He could’ve just lost $ 4 but instead he lost our business. I can live without curry flavored drinks. WOW! It tastes like curry! Haven’t found a good place since I moved here from LA :(so sad.

This place is LEGIT!!! They have THEBEST bubble tea there is! SO many different flavors and combinations to choose from. The best part is, they do not flavor the boba tea with crappy syrup flavors, they use real fruit and it makes it taste so yummy and fresh! They are always consistent here. Super fun place to hang out at. They have a selection of games there that you can play too! Enjoy!

On my very first trip to Seattle, I visited Wow Bubble Tea after walking around nearby University of Washington’s campus(which is beautiful in the Spring with all the cherry blossoms). I am a huge fan of bubble tea and after experiencing Wow, I hold all other bubble tea places in the US to Wow’s high standard. It’s a quirky small shop that sells dozens of types of bubble tea. I recommend the straight up bubble milk bubble tea and then enjoy it while relaxing on the couches inside. It’s AMAZING!

1. WOW! 2. Delicious smoothies and bubble tea 3. Great atmosphere for chilling I love WOW bubble tea! I wish there was one on my college campus back when I was in school(though maybe not because then I’m sure to have diabetes by now). WOW is one of my favorite places to grab a dessert smoothie and it just hits the right spot. There are so many different flavors to choose from and they use real fruit as well! Service is friendly and quick. The setting is nice for a group hangout or a one-on-one chat. Check in Monday-Thursday and get a 10% Unilocal discount! (Maybe the only constructive feedback(because I like being clean) is that there are some questionable stains on the cushion seats…)

Definitely a WOW! :) I miss this place already(I’m back in California now). This is the first ever based Christian Boba Place that I have ever been to! I love it! My significant other noticed the bible verses up on the walls and he was the one that noticed that they were playing Christian music. Their sealed cover had bible verses on it as well, I really enjoyed seeing that. Their cups are high in quality too! If you’re from California and you have bought boba drinks the cups are very thin and easy to crunch up with your hands unlike this place. It felt very nice and sturdy! :) I ordered the almond milk tea with boba! Best almond milk tea ever for me too, especially from all the other almond milk teas I’ve had. Haha! I think my gentleman ordered a taro! Since he likes that! I really wish Sacramento had a Christian based boba place. I’d go there all the time to study while listening to Christian music too!

Basing my review on the milk tea — it’s mall quality boba and the drink and boba itself weren’t amazing. Judging by pictures I think this place might better for smoothies/slushes so I might go back to try that. I just usually get milk tea the first time I go somewhere to try it out.

Pretty good milktea and fast service, actually it is one of the better milktea place on the Ave. You can taste the tea in their black milktea. Their green milktea is made with matcha powder instead of brewed green tea leaf. I like with their black and green milkteas. They also serve frozen yogurt, but I’m not into that, so haven’t try yet.

This is definitely super similar to Sharetea. WOW Bubble Tea and Sharetea are actually minutes away from each other walking distance in the UW area. The good thing about WOW Bubble Tea is that you have an option to choose how much ice and sweetener you want added to your drink! Their drinks are definitely unique in taste compared to Oasis and Yunnie(also located in UW) because unlike the two, it’s more natural tasting in flavor. The quality of drink and customer service is great as well so I suggest boba lovers to try this place out at least one time to test the difference! My favorite drink is the original Milk Tea, Jasmine Milk Tea or Earl Grey Milk Tea :)

This place has good smoothies not so thick. I like it watery. I found this place out from a family member and this is definitely a place where all Washington university students like going. Or I have to say a good student hang out place. Well it is located in the U district. Very lively for young people to hang out. I got the guava gulp and it was good. Mango flavour seems to be stronger then the guave taste. Definitely will be back

First experience at wow bubble tea. We ordered AMOS(Apple-mango-orange-strawberry) smoothie. It was delicious and the jelly adds some fun to the drink. Overall experience — solid B. :)

Worst original milk tea with bubble i’ve ever tasted. Tapioca bubble are from a jar where u can easily buy it from the asian supermarket, they’re not freshly made.

Hm, I’m not sure what the hype is about here. I guess it’s okay, I’m not blown away by this place. The froyo tastes kind of icy, and some of the bubble tea flavors(like taro) tastes super powder-y. But the milk teas are definitely more creamy than what I’ve had. I would come back to try other flavors. I got the avocado smoothie and that tasted pretty okay. Taro tasted extremely gross, like it was stale powder or something. Worth the visit. Also the couches are not cushioned, so don’t sit down hard.

I really really love their green tea avocado smoothie and their original and taro frozen yogurt! If you get tapioca topping on your fro-yo, it’s even better! Yum~~

The milk tea here is alright, but their fruit smoothies are the best around uw. The tapioca gets hard pretty quickly, which might be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. Do yourself a favor and just try their fresh fruit watermelon.

My go to bubble tea and frozen yogurt spot on the ave! Something about this place always makes me come back. It’s always fresh, it tastes delicious, the people are kind and has an overall great atmosphere. I absolutely love taro and both the frozen yogurt and bubble tea is pretty amazing here. Their yogurt drink and POG is also what I usually order too. I like how they don’t make their drinks too sweet and their tapioca/toppings are perfectly cooked so they’re not too hard or chewy. For frozen yogurt they have a variety of toppings to choose from and fresh fruits. It’s also a nice place to study or play some of the games that they have at the store. Would definitely recommend!

WOW stands for Wonder of Worship and is a cute little place to do an assortment of things like study, chat with friends, or enjoy a cold treat. This place is open late which is great when you are having endless chats with friends or are cramming for an exam. The place is brightly lit, very open, and has comfy seats to relax in. We walked in looking for something cold to eat and drink and decided to give this bubble tea joint a try. I went straight to the self serve frozen yogurt machines first. I grabbed a cup and decided to get some original tart. At first the machine spurt out pure liquid into my cup, then melted frozen yogurt and then solid frozen yogurt. It was a little unappetizing to see at first but I can understand that machines that haven’t been used after some time will drip liquid before freezing the yogurt. The husky taro yogurt was right next to the tart so I decided to give that a try too. I really like the taro from Yogurtland so I figured this would be tasty as well. It came out fine and solid but I was surprised by the color. It was indeed very purple, almost unnatural like. I guess it’s really Husky purple. The toppings bar is right across and they have all kinds from fruit to candy. The thing I really enjoyed is that the fruit is put in it’s own refrigerated area. This keeps the fruit and the popping jelly fresh. Most frozen yogurt places don’t do this with their fruit so this definitely was a plus. I brought my frozen yogurt over to the cash register and my partner and I ordered some drinks. The menu is right by the cashier rather than printed largely on the backboard or the wall like most places. I went for the Matcha Green Tea special and my partner got the Red Bean Special. The frozen yogurt is 43 cents per oz and I was able to use the Unilocal offer of $ 1 off since my yogurt was over $ 5 total. After both drinks, the total was a bit over $ 14. Strangely, it took quite a long time for the cashier to ring us up. I think he might have been new because he had to ask the lady in the back around 3 times on what to do with our order. We took a seat on the comfy chairs and waited for our drinks. While I was waiting I started to snack on my frozen yogurt. The tart is actually not that tart compared to most places. I felt that it had an equal sweetness and tartness to it. I was a little disappointed since I really like the tartness in tart yogurt. Then I scooped up some of the taro yogurt. For a moment my mind went blank and my face scrunched up. This did not taste like taro frozen yogurt. To me it tasted really artificial and had an awful aftertaste. The taro was just a no for me. Our drinks came out and I was pleased to see that they were in pretty big cups. These are 25 oz which is bigger than the other bubble tea places. The cups are much more sturdy and the lids have cute little Bible verses on them. Matcha Green Tea — Yum! My first sip of this was filled with joy. My eyes completely lit up because I am such a green tea lover. The flavor of matcha just came through every sip and it was not overly sweet. It was an easy drink since the consistency was very liquid like. However, I think I sucked up all the liquid because when I got half way through my drink it got thick and became difficult to drink. When I did manage to drink the thick slush, there was no longer a matcha flavor. There wasn’t even a green tea flavor anymore. I was a little shocked by this and I don’t think the flavor was incorporated through the whole drink. I was sad, because I really enjoyed the first half of the drink. I would probably come back just to have that first half because it was so enjoyable. Red Bean Special — This was definitely not what we were expecting. It did have a red bean taste to it but there was also a very sweet background taste and a soy milk taste to it as well. Therefore, it almost tasted like the sweetened red bean that comes in a can. It wasn’t the most luxurious red bean drink we’ve had and didn’t compare to the one from Mee Sum. I enjoy that the place has Wifi and is a really relaxing place to just hang out or study. The Christian music in the background is not that loud and they have a good amount of board games to play. Although the froyo and the red bean special didn’t exceed our expectations, I did enjoy the green tea but wished the flavor lasted through the entire drink. Hopefully WOW Bubble Tea can«wow» me next time.

I haven’t had a lot of experience with Boba tea, just tried it recently and have had it four times in a week! Yummy! So, my rating in quality here vs any other place may not be spot on. The coconut milk tea with tapioca was tasty. It probably needed more ice, but was tasty. It hit the spot for my thirst and snackishness. Alas, I was very disturbed by the religious propaganda. I didn’t note the interior religiosity, if I had, I would have left. I am a born again atheist and find in-your-face religion to be disturbing. I had to stab the top specifically to cover the word ‘god’ and the Bible verse number. I understand that they have a right to share their beliefs though their business. I get it. However, I do not think it’s cool to put it where you look every time you take a drink. They could put it in the side of the cup, or the lower rim like In-and-Out does. Anyway, despite the drinks being good, I don’t be back. It’s simply too pushy.

This is a well run, well-designed, Christian-centric boba(bubble tea) joint that also sells frozen yogurt, that has reasonable prices, and a wonderful variety of options. For my review, I ordered the large(25oz), Jasmine, iced bubble tea for $ 3.30(as of 9÷5÷2014) and I thought it was a good drink at a reasonable price. My only complaint is that the tea-flavor was fairly weak. The owner(I assume he was the owner) was very patient with me as I stared at the menu for ten minutes, and gave me suggestions about the most popular options customers love. Every time you want to «mix» a flavor, or order a smoothie version, there’s a small upcharge, and thus the highest priced drinks are ~$ 5. If i were to rate this place on their drink alone, I might only give it 3-stars, but I think it deserves 4 due to the ambiance and environment. It’s well lit, there’s plenty of nice, comfortable seating in this place, and it seems to be a nice hangout spot for people to do their work. There is wi-fi(the password is at the front of the store), and couches. It’s the bubble-tea-equivalent of a coffee shop. In short, I recommend people to come here to work or to hang out with friends, not just buy their expensive drinks and walk out. They also have a rewards card here if you’re in to stuff like that :-). I’ll be back for sure.

The owners are very honest in letting you know what exactly goes into your smoothies. I told them no added sugar please for my fresh fruit boba tea and they told me it was honey. However, I still opted out. For me, I like just having the fruit and the fun of my chewy boba. They have two sizes to choose from, which is ideal because not everyone, such as my bff can finish a 25 ounce. So the other size of 16 oz fits her better. However because I was paying, I insisted on her to get the 25 oz too. This store offers a punchcard, so get it! Sofas and furniture very comfortable, and lots of students everywhere which makes for perfect people watching and interesting conversation listening. Haha! Me and the bf had a great time with that one.
