Nice modern vibe inside. Music selection was garbage, 80’s and 90’s hits sung in foreign languages. Coffee was top notch, service was solid. I’d go there again.

They don’t have white coffee but they have kambucha on tap. They also have almond milk and hemp milk alternatives which is always appreciated. Also they have toys for the kids to play with. How cool is that. The espresso was absolutely delicious. They have a map of beacon hill where customers can pin where they live. That’s unique! They have sultry tunes and friendly service. A great way to start the day

I work up the street and noticed a sign for a smoothie happy hour, and knew I’d have to check it out. Magic Mix offers ½ price smoothies from 4−5pm during the week, and 3−5pm on the weekends. In the end, this turns out to be a $ 6 smoothie, so a good price but doesn’t seem ½ off. Anyway, I’ve only tried the Warrior Blend smoothie, as well as the Mayan Warrior. The Warrior Blend was my favorite. Was a nice purple color – not too sweet and even had a homemade protein powder that soothed my afternoon hunger pangs. Everything here is homemade, vegan, all-natural, etc. The staff is friendly, and it’s great that they offer a happy hour. I come here if I have plans right after work and won’t have dinner until later. This is a healthy option to keep me satisfied without breaking the bank.

Pros: good service, free wifi, good pastries(macaroons especially) Cons: I HAVENEVERTASTEDANYTHINGASBITTERASTHEICEDCOFFEE. Guess it’s just a really strong blend everyone pretends to like drinking blank for the sake of being hipster. Also, they have kombucha on tap. ONTAP. This is the pretentiousness of Seattle embodied in one café.

Great laid back vibe, pandora station which was playing was pretty eclectic and it paired greatly with the atmosphere. Not typically a coffee drinker but the latte I had was nothing shy of amazing.

There aren’t many coffee shops on Beacon Hill so this place stands out. Yet when compared against its other locations it makes you wonder what went wrong. The coffee is great, and I’ve never had issues with service, but if you’re staying in the business it is not the most pleasant. The primary issue I have with this Victrola is the acoustics. Everything the barista does reverberates throughout the establishment. You are keenly aware of every espresso and every cappuccino being made. There are some art pieces on the walls that probably help with some sound buffering but it is by no means enough. One wall has a large drawing of the Beacon Hill neighborhood that was left incomplete. It’s been that way since they opened. If it was intentional it was a bad idea, and should be changed. It makes me feel as if there is something incomplete with the establishment itself, like there is something missing. Although I haven’t had issues with service myself I have noticed others waiting in line while employees chit chat away with other people. They greet you with a positive attitude and smile, but this isn’t your buddies BBQ. Just because the line isn’t going out the door doesn’t mean you don’t have to hurry for the one customer who did come in for service. Paying customers don’t like waiting in line. For anything. Even if they don’t say so. So unless the wait is due to someone else getting service, no chit chatting please.

Consistently well made macchiatos and kind baristas. It gets a little busy at times but they are never flustered by large crowds. The gluten-free desserts are delicious! Holla at the brownies and macaroons when in stock. There is also extra parking in the back alley if street parking is hard to find.

Just stopped in here for a mid morning Saturday rainy Seattle coffee. The people inside were so sweet and smart. The coffee is so yummy that I had to take a minute and write this review. For me it’s worth noting that they have hemp milk, which makes my life better.

This is the little bit pricier Fancy Coffee option of the neighborhood. It’s definitely gourmet. It always feels a little dark inside though, so if you wanna read try to get the one or two spots near the front window.

I love stopping in before work for a chai latte with almond milk! I have tried many places’ chai, and I like Victrola’s the most. They can adjust the spiciness or sweetness to your liking; the woman who works there will usually ask me how I want it, but I have to tell the man my preference. Go figure. ;) It’s also easy to find parking — plenty on Beacon Ave or on a residential street around the corner. A few downsides: I don’t love the food selection(mostly donuts and Molly’s premade sandwiches), and I think the space lacks a bit in natural light. Note that my chai latte *is* on the pricier side, which probably is not surprising: $ 4.10 for a 12 oz(translation: «tall») plus 55 cents for almond milk. Until I figure out how to make good chai at home, I will still be going to Victrola asking Mr. Baristo to make it spicy!

Walked the dog to this local coffee roaster on a rainy morning and was pleasantly surprised by the interior of the place and taste of their coffee Sadly, it was too crowded and busy to sit inside. So we sat outside, which was a little too chilly for Seattle in January. Maybe avoid that if you can. But I love seeing a local place that is well loved as this one. Cappuccino was piping hot and strong– very delicious. The pastries looked great, I’d love to give them a chance in the future!

The coffee is terrible. The coffee is terrible. The coffee is terrible. The coffee is terrible. I know, you just moved here and you are trying to fit in, ok… A little advice. 1. Ask a local to make you a good cup of coffee as a reference point. 2. Stop honking your horn, blocking crosswalks and cutting in line. 3. Don’t buy bad coffee. These shops are playing on your lack of knowledge. Out the over roasters! Out them out of business! 4. Repeat steps 1 – 3.

Relaxed, comfortable coffee shop within walking distance of my house. I have to say, the almond croissant I had was amazing. Would have liked my chai latte a little bit stronger on the flavor but it was still very delicious. Will definitely return here!

Meh is the best I have for this location. The coffee it self is blah. It just tastes off. The atmosphere is great for getting work done, but don’t think about having a conversation in there, the glares will be plentiful, or you may get shushed.

The reason I’m giving 4 stars is for the americano, which is one of the best I’ve ever had, seriously. It was also quite pricey for what appeared to be the equivalent of a «short» at other places(I was drinking it out of a small mug). But worth it. Otherwise, it’s a pretty basic coffee shop. The bathroom was gross, as others have noted, but the barista was very friendly and didn’t seem to mind that we sat there for a couple of hours having a meeting with someone. Would go back if I’m in the Beacon Hill area.

It’s hard for me to give 4 stars when I know their bathroom is pretty gross, the overall cleanliness is not great, and the hours kinda suck(close early)… BUT the baristas are friendly(not in-your-face peppy, but nice), the neighborhood map on the wall is one of my favorite coffee shop art pieces around, and the drinks are consistent. I can get a cup of tea for $ 2.76, any size. Hot chocolate is less than $ 3. Their pastries are limited, but delicious, with prices comparable to other coffee shops. It’s close quarters seating wise, but I actually like that; after all, this is a neighborhood joint.

If you’re not a coffee drinker, which I’m not, there’s not a lot here for you. I explained to the barista that I didn’t drink coffee and wanted a cold tea drink, hopefully with green tea. This introduction usually gets me some good recommendations at other coffee shops for a variety of cold tea drinks from frappuccino-type drinks to iced tea lattes, etc. I like asking the baristas because they usually pick what they personally make best, so you get a good drink. She said she *could* make some iced green tea, but she already had black made. Alrighty. Ordering the black iced tea seemed safest at this point. It was okay, though I think it was lightly flavored, which she had not mentioned. I also grabbed a day-old croissant for half price, which was still pretty fresh since had been well wrapped up in plastic. I was happy my total was just over $ 3. There was nothing overly warm or friendly that stood out about the décor for me, and the tables seemed a bit scrunched together for the size of the space. There were two small tables outside in front of the store, but not much curb appeal, so despite the sunny day, we sat indoors.

Sorry guys. It’s a night and day experience between this location and the Capitol Hill one. It starts with the cold décor; I think it’s going for cool minimalist, but it doesn’t quite get there. I’ve been in a couple of times and even when it’s not busy, the person working was more into talking with somebody else than they were us. So we ordered drinks. And waited a really, really long time for 4 drinks. One was iced. I took a taste of my soy latte and it tasted funny. To the point that I did the old comic standby joke and asked my friends to taste it too. But one of them was already holding out their drink and looking at it funny too. 3 of us didn’t finish our drinks :/I didn’t even get past three sips. Bummer.

I’ve been eyeing you for some time now, and I finally made time to meet you! I enjoy seeing a coffee shop in this area of town. Inside, I felt welcome by the two staff one saturday morning. I enjoyed hearing offering of milk, soy and rice options for my hot coffee drink! I also splurged and tried one of their tastey treats… i cannot pass up pumpkin glazed donut! EXCELLENT treat. Not greasy or heavy feeling. I cannot recall who their supplier of donuts was, but I will be back for another try at their sweet or savory treats! Coffee was nicely presented with a cute decoration. Nothing interesting or bad about my cup of coffee. Décor was very relaxed with lots of seating options. It had a nice neighborhood feel with locals interacting with the staff like they knew one another. Diverse crowd. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and plan to continue to frequent. Great add to the the neighborhood!
