Fantastic in every way. Flavorful fresh and unique dishes. The staff and waiter was the best I have ever had.

We started off on rocky ground. We came on the 10th for a cruise and that morning we popped in to make a reservation for the 17th when we got back. The server who took our reservation said she didn’t know how to enter it in the computer so wrote it down so that the lunch manager could enter it when he got there. Well that never happened so we had no reservation when we got back. So to make a long story short management did everything they could to get us in and we were glad they did. Our food was terrific. My veal chop perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. We had the pasta with spicy sausage sauce, the ribeye, kale salad, Caesar salad, and the Bronzino. Everything was delicious. Our server was efficient and friendly. We were a party of 7 and he handled us like a pro. Overall a very enjoyable evening after some high stress regarding the reservation. It would have been criminal to miss out on this restaurant due to a miscommunication.

Our memory of Tulio is bittersweet — we ate here the day after my sweetheart’s mother died. That’s the bitter. The sweet was the lovely food and the extraordinary service. Tulio does kindness, and especially in Seattle, that’s a rare and lovely treat. I hope that the last few great old Seattle restaurants — Tulio, Il Terrazzo, Ray’s Boathouse and a handful of others — will hold out against the rising tide of upscale gastro pubs that all serve exactly the same $ 17.00 burger & fries.

Stayed at the hotel and had a meeting in the 2nd floor conference room of the restaurant. We were not hungry but decided to have a light lunch :). We got: chicken, gnocchi, fish special, linguini with mussels and several salads. It was all brilliant! We will definitely be back. Keep it up guys.

AMAZING!!! Wow the best Italian I have had in a very long time, but definitely the best I’ve ever had on the west coast. My boyfriend and I came here when we first moved to the area and it gave us such a «homey» feel. The staff is amazing and the food is delicious. We always get the sweet potato gnocchi for appetizer and the lamb pappardelle, orecchiette(spicy Italian sausage) and pork shank for dinner. We have also had the lamb sirloin, ribeye and linguine. Literally everything is amazing! The food is very flavorful and the servers always give the best advice on how to pair our meal with wine. Also, we have never felt like the server was trying to get us to order more food than we needed. Our servers every time have been honest about how much food we should order bc I tend to have bigger eyes than one’s stomach and order way more than I can consume. I definitely appreciate that about a restaurant! It shows that they truly care for our best interest and now just our wallet. Additionally, the atmosphere is very cozy and inviting! This is definitely our go to spot when we are hosting friends/family or have a special occasion.

Staying in Seattle for the weekend, was looking for fine dining experience however the experience was less than fine. The atmosphere was small and cozy, the waiters can barely fit between the tables. literally. Always skeptical of hotel restaurants and this proved to be a disappointing. The waiter was ok, we ordered drinks at bar before hand, so we didn’t end up having wine with dinner. The waiter NEVER removed the wine glasses from the table until the food arrived, after I moved the glasses out of my way to the end of the table. We ordered the sweet potato gnocchi which was sautéed, slightly over cooked and black on on edges tossed in a cream sauce, however there was barely any sauce so it tasted like you eating fried potatoes. Then I ordered the butternut squash risotto, when it arrived it looked like oatmeal with tiny pieces of squash. No garnish, nothing… just plopped in a bowl, I actually picked a piece of something black out it but that doesn’t count. My friend and actually thought it looked like quaker oats peaches and cream oatmeal… not very appetizing. I expected more butternut squash for $ 18. My friend ordered the swordfish, she seemed pleased with her meal. I would not recommend, save your money.

Wonderful family dinner here! Paulo was a great server and took really good care of our party. We started with the sweet potato gnocchi which was pretty out of this world! I definitely could have eaten a few bowls of it as my meal. My husband and I split the steak which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rest of our family either got the duck or the lamb and loved both dishes! We finished with trying the chocolate, tiramisu and pistachio semifreddo for dessert. Everything was excellent! Even though it is a high class restaurant, all the staff was very accommodating and comfortable around our toddler. He has so much fun sitting near the kitchen and watching the chefs cook. I would definitely recommend checking this restaurant out if you are in the area

Tulio was a great choice for a quality dinner with delicious house made dishes. We started with the sweet potato gnocchi, moved on to the house made pasta with mushrooms and climaxed with the perfectly prepared rib eye steak and duck. If this were not enough, of course we finished with a pistachio semifreddo which creamy and not too sweet. The wine selections were wonderful, and the service was the perfect balance of attentive but not overbearing, accommodating and helpful. I can highly recommend this lovely restaurant whether dining for business or pleasure. This place deserves to be included on your trip to the city for a memorable dinner in the city.

Got a special occasion you’re celebrating? Want to try something new? Want a great atmosphere an incredible food? I was blown away by how good this place was. I tell everyone to go here. The dark paneled wood walls and small tables make it feel intimate and lovely. The waiter was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He had great suggestions for what to eat and drink. The cuisine is northern Italian. It’s small portions of authentic and regional food. Sweet potato gnocchi was incredible. The risotto was perfectly cooked. The orichietti with sausage was mouth watering. Deserts were fabulous. The gelato was sweet and the chocolate cake was perfect. The cocktail selection was great too. I had a rosemary cocktail with a huge piece of rosemary in it. Delicious. A must try restaurant in Seattle!

[Dine-In Experience] Hands down, Tulio is one of the best Italian restaurant I have been to so far. The service was excellent, especially for a group of our size(10 people) and I give them bonus points for that because that is hard to come by. The food was absolutely, most definitely, delicious and flavorful — most of all, just the perfect portions. I highly recommend the sweet potato gnocchi and the mussels were the highlight of my meal. Man, I could eat both of them every day! For my entrée, I ordered 2 half orders of the linguini and orecchiette and they were also delicious and probably also better versions of Italian food than I have had before. As mentioned, service was great. Food and drinks came out at reasonable times and all the waiters were very accommodating. This place has really great ambiance and highly recommend this to anyone looking for Italian food in the Seattle area. Dishes ordered: Sweet potato gnocchi, mussels, linguini, orecchiette, veal.

I’ve hosted two events here. Perfect upstairs room for a group of 15 in the private room. I’m impressed with the professionalism of the staff and booking team. Have had two above average meals, shank & ribeye. The ribeye last night was one of the best steaks I’ve had in recent memory. If you’re looking for a place to hold a corporate event I highly recommend. I’ll be back in the future

Really really good. Surprisingly so, for the restaurant located in the first floor of the Hotel Vintage(a Kimpton hotel). Excellent Italian food. I had the lamb pappardelle primo and the gnocchi appetizer. My dinner companions had the kale salad and baccala frito(fried cod meatballs) as appetizers and the orecchiette pasta and roast chicken with lemon risotto for main dishes. They shared a ½ bottle of white wine. EVERYTHING was excellent. We finished off the very tasty chocolate budino dessert handily among the three of us. The service was impressively efficient(mostly – took awhile to pick up the check but I think that was a decision not to rush us). They brought me 3 ice tea refills instantly . Tax and tip was $ 186. Tulio is definitely a spot to check out if you spend any time in Seattle in the future!

Fantastic food! My favorite so far is a sweet potato gnocchi. Portions are somewhat small for the price but the wine is a fair value for a great selection. The waitstaff has nailed a wine recommendation every time, managing to capture exactly what I was looking for. They will never turn you away if you show up in casual attire but you will probably feel underdressed.

Good for what it is. I would not say great. Tulio has a limited menu, does not like it if you don’t have reservations(even if you are a hotel guest), and service is on the stuffy side– more puffed up than what it should be for what it is. The three bean soup was tasty and very good and the duck breast was good. Kids options are available like buttered pasta and pizza. We felt like we were a bother because we didn’t have a reservation, but they could have turned us away if it was that big of a deal, instead of treating us as if we were second rate. Other than that, typical overpriced food for Seattle.

The best of the best of fine dining restaurants in downtown Seattle. We’ve been coming here for special occasions for years. From the time you arrive(Valet parking is a nice option) to entering the doors and experiencing the beautiful ambience of the restaurant, you know you are in for a special evening. The place was decorated beautifully for the holiday season. We were treated to a great table near the kitchen to watch all the chefs in action. It was a busy time of the holiday season and a full house. The chefs worked like a fine tuned machine to make sure all orders were up to their high standards. The whole staff works as a team to make sure you have the best dining experience possible. We were very lucky to work with Efren as our waiter. He made sure that our evening of dining was smooth and enjoyable. While working with other customers, he always kept one eye on us and his other tables to make sure everyone was happy. We started off with the best martinis while looking through the menu. The Penn Cove Mussels prepared Sicilian style — an extra touch of pepper was most delish. Our entrees were the Banzino and the Swordfish special. The best cuts of fish prepared with the expertise of the Tulio chefs. We were in heaven with every morsel. Almost forgot to mention their most impressive wine list. We had a glass of the Chianti Classico Cecchi and Ripasso Tomassi. To finish our perfect evening we had the Tiramisu and a Chocolate Budino for dessert. Every year for either Christmas, a birthday or anniversary, we always ask for a Tulio Gift Card. — Why ask for anything else! (Thank you Doug for helping us use our Mom’s gift certificate which hadn’t arrived in the mail yet!!)

This place could easily hold the record for the best gnocchi that I have ever eaten. It’s lightly fried and covered in deliciousness. We had the bacala fritta(a mix of fish and potato) as well which was tasty but not a must try. It did however have a couple delicious aoili’s with it. The lamb was incredible and the cous cous it was on top of was equally delicious. It had a fresh basil mint paste that adds a fresh taste to the whole dish. My girlfriend had the chicken which was good but I wouldn’t get it again. Certain dishes here you must try like the gnocchi. Overall it’s good food but it’s very expensive for a normal night out.

Brunch was superb. I had the chef omelet and requested to add onions. The service was fantastic. They had a mascarpone Nutella waffle plate that was very tempting that I would eat on my next visit. On the table to go with the toast was a strawberry freezerve the waiter told us was local.

Aw, we just had the nicest time at Tulio. Lots of people have said accurate and nice things here so I’ll just add these few points. 1) It’s a very old-school style look in the nicest way, our booth was very comfy. 2) We generally prefer a more casual atmosphere with our excellent food — HOWEVER — Tulio’s staff were all so congenial that we instantly felt welcomed and comfortable in an otherwise fancy spot. 3) I’m a strict lacto-ovo vegetarian(so no fish, but eggs, dairy ok) and I had a great meal(ravioli with luscious lemony-buttery goodness and sexy bitter rabe). My fiancé is a big meat fan and he had a great meal(lamb ragu pasta which left him stuffed and he has talked about that dish several times since). 4) Price: we had two starters(both vegetarian, we shared them, delicious), two glasses of wine, two pasta plates and were too full for dessert or main plates. We are big eaters so I don’t say«full» lightly. This came to something like $ 110 with a generous tip(cause our waiter was charming as hell!) and my fella was thrilled at the price. 5) It was so romantic and lovely and smiley that he tried to propose to me after the meal by suggesting we go for a walk in the city. But I was wearing these stupid shoes and I didn’t want to take a walk, instead I wanted to go back to the hotel to take my shoes off and rest my full belly. So, since he didn’t want to propose in a hotel room, he waited until we wandered out into the city the next morning. True story!

I was in Seattle for the weekend staying at Hotel Vintage which was connected to the restaurant. We absolutely loved it, we ate here three times throughout our stay! Lunch — We arrived from the airport starving and were greeted by the nicest waiter, Shaun. Shaun explained the menu to us and we decided on the burrata to start. The brussel sprouts with the burrata was an excellent combination. We each had the chicken salad which was fresh with very crisp lettuce. It was exactly what we needed after a long flight. Shaun then brought us a map and gave us suggestions for things to do during our stay. We were blown away by how nice everyone was, especially Shaun! Breakfast — We decided to grab a quick breakfast before heading out for the day and were pleasantly surprised when Shaun was our waiter again. I had an awesome omelette with fennel sausage and peppers and my boyfriend had the biscuits with sausage gravy, which was out of this world! Shaun gave us a few more suggestions and we were on our way for the day. Dinner — We weren’t planning on eating dinner here but were running late to a show. We called down and they squeezed us in. It was Saturday and they were packed. We shared some small plates, which were all excellent. The sweet potato gnocchi was sweet and savory and the kale salad was great. Our favorite dish was the pappardelle pasta with lamb ragu. We shared a half order but wished that we had the full order. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the ragu was very tasty. I would highly recommend Tulio’s to anyone in the Seattle area!

After dining at many new and trendy restaurants on our vacation, it was a nice change to find Tulio, with its old world European charm and service. The room was dark wood, with subtle lighting, having a very comfortable feel right from the start. It appeared that all the tables were taken and we can now understand why. The food was delicious modern Italian and the 3 of us enjoyed everything from sharing the Burrata Cheese appetizer to the delicious Corn Risotto. Our main courses were the perfectly cooked and seasoned Veal Chop to the Braised Pork Shoulder to the fish special of the night, Black Cod; all were outstanding. Our charismatic and attentive waiter Javier made the night perfect. With 3 glasses of Prosecco, a bottle of wine and 2 after dinner drinks, with tip, the bill came to around $ 100 per person, not inexpensive but well worth the experience.

1) A wonderful and warm dinner atmosphere 2) Orecchitte with sausage was to die for. Huge portion, do share with someone special :) 3) Fish of the night was halibut– perfectly seared with tricolor new potatoes and a basil cream sauce! 4) Pork Shank was SUPERB!!! It was melting off the bone and crowned on a huge dollop of creamy ricotta mashed potatoes… And don’t get me started on the reduced sauce at the bottom! My first time here and won’t be the last. With a glass of wine and after dinner tea(no dessert this time, too full!), Bill came to $ 113. This place is a gem.

Whoa– Is all I can say when I walked into this place. Like omg, do I really belong here? I kept looking around to see what type of people were dining, because I sure as heck was not born into a life of luxury. But sure enough, the customers all looked like very nice down to earth people like you would see at any breakfast place across the country. This place is definitely way nicer than most places I ever eat at on a daily basis. As intimating as that was, I was completely disarmed by the niceness of every person who came to wait on our table. There was at least five different people that came by and I can’t remember all that each did. But you had within minutes: hostess, waterboy, server, bread person, and then later food deliverer. It was impressive how it all flowed so fast and with such ease. Everyone was genuinely interested in you having the best dining experience. I was feeling kind of like I was in a dream because it’s hard find a place that can truly master it all. All I can say is, Wow!!! Very nice. And thank you… I’m touched that I had the opportunity to eat here with my love. It was a very romantic setting to end the last day of our honeymoon. :)

Why have I not written a review for this place? I go out of my way to go here for dinner every time I’m in town. And since I’m now moving to Seattle I think I might become a regular here! 3 things you need to know: 1) the service is fabulous, they will make you feel like $ 1 million. No matter who you have as your server you will get great service. If you are seated in James’ area, you are I. For a treat! 2) the food is always wonderful and fresh. You will never go wrong with the salmon ravioli or the sweet potato gnocchi 3) they have a wonderful drink selection You might need reservations as this place fills up. Don’t go boasting about this place to everyone, we want to keep it our little secret!

Came here for dessert and a cocktail. Wine $ 10 and beer $ 7 a glass. Huge selection of wine and liquor. Handful for beer. We ordered Budino Di Cioccolata: Warm chocolate pudding cake, toasted meringue, raspberry caramel sauce for $ 8. Absolutely wonderful. Such a lovey place we decided to return the next night for drinks again.

Highly recommend! I am staying at The Vintage Hotel and found it amazing that such a great restaurant is located right in my hotel. I called the restaurant last night and the man that picked up that I made a reservation for my moms birthday breakfast and to see if there’s anything they can do to make it special. The gentleman assured me that there will definitely be something special done. My mom and I walked in and right away we were created with a happy birthday! Doug greeted us so sweetly and walked us to our table with a huge smile on his face. He brought my mom a mimosa to start off her birthday in style! Unfortunately, my mom is allergic to oranges so be brought her a Bloody Mary instead, which my mom said was amazing. Our waitress, Becky, was so sweet! She was very friendly and always had a smile on her face. When I asked her about their jam that I am obsessed with, not only did she bring me the information where I can order it but also brought me an entire box of it to take home! That was beyond sweet of her and I can’t wait to share it with my grandma. Aside from the jam, their vegetarian frittata was delicious and it was very sweet of the kitchen to split it for us. I ordered a side of fruit, which was huge and my mom also ordered a side of their homemade sausage. She loved her sausage a lot. Thank you Tulio for starting off my moms birthday in such an amazing way!!! Can’t wait to dine here again.
