Great food and value, but their delivery drivers suck. They’d get lost in their own front yard.

Absolutely awful. Nothing I ordered here was good. Dry noodles, non-fresh ingredients, under/over cooked dishes, and over-fried egg roles using dirty oil. Truly the worst Chinese food I can remember having ever.

When we moved in next door, I was excited to have a Chinese place so close by. Unfortunately, after two visits I will never go back. I thought the first time through could have been a fluke, but negative, same results on the second trip as well. Let’s talk about the staff, they act like you’re not there, no one else was in the place, so it wasn’t like they were busy helping others. Should have been our first indication, no customers… No good. The food was terrible. Not Panda Express bad, but worse. It took 30 minutes for our food to come out, and it tasted terrible. It does not surprise me it’s empty every time I walk by.

I live across the street and have been meaning to try this place for some time now. I will start off by saying that the staff was very friendly. That’s what the 1 star is for. Unfortunately, that’s where the pros end. I was the only person in the restaurant and it took over 25 minutes to get an order of their garlic peanut wontons and fried beef with ginger sauce. I was happy to wait because I assumed it meant everything would be fresh and delicious. Both items came out at the same time, which is just personally irksome as someone who has worked as a waitress. I feel the need to mention the conditions of the restaurant itself. I was seated next to the door that opens into the kitchen, and in full view is a vent covered in what appears to be dark mold. This, coupled with an unswept floor in the back, did not make me comfortable. But it was actually the quality and flavor of the food that disappointed me the most. The wontons claimed to have a sauce composed of garlic and peanut. When I think sauce, I think of something that could be drizzled. Much to my dismay, I was handed a bowl of doughy wontons with crumbly, pasty peanut butter goo. I’m really struggling in even trying to describe the texture because it was so awful that I thought for sure this isn’t what these are normally supposed to look like. If you’ve done any baking, it was kind of like what happens to chocolate when it seizes. My waiter was very kind, and brought me a bowl of chili oil and I tried to salvage them by scraping the mess off and using the oil instead, but the wontons themselves were so lacking that it was not worth it. Plus, by that time my beef was getting cold. I will say the beef was beautifully presented and it looked like it would be delicious. Sadly, it was chewy, bland, and had a very weird aftertaste. It was supposed to be ginger beef, but I couldn’t taste any ginger or garlic or onion or any other seasoning whatsoever. I’m not sure what the sauce was made of, but the flavors were not recognizable and I have a pretty keen palette. I hate wasting food, but I hate complaining to staff at a restaurant more. Sad to say I paid my $ 25 and left starving, leaving the entire meal untouched. I would not recommend this place. If you’re looking for something local with an Asian flair, try out the teriyaki place on the corner of 15th and Dravus. Much less expensive and a greater quality and quantity of food.

We just finished an amazing meal from here. I don’t understand the bad reviews. This place is great! I got the black pepper beef chow fun, my fiancé got the sautéed beef, and we shared the Emperor’s choice pot stickers. All were amazing, way better than most Chinese restaurants in the area. I’ve been here a few times and all over the US and had a lot of American-Chinese food, and this is one of the best. Inexpensive and large portions!

I’ve order from here 4 times and the food and service are decent for a delivery pick up chinese food place. The restaurant is very clean and they cook in front of the bar so you get to see the cook prep your food. I order the BBQ pork fried rice with beef egg foo yung with gravy on the side, they always get it right. Give this place a try food is good, place is clean and service is polite and fast.

The meal I had last week from The New Pandasia might be the worst meal I had in 2015. I ordered delivery and received the following items: Tea smoked duck– inedible. So chewy we couldn’t get the meat off the bones. The«buns» it came with were also inedible. They were ultra dense and dry. Singapore Lamb Curry– fatty lamb and mushy vegetables in a watery«curry sauce». Had three bites and threw the rest in the trash. Taste and texture were horrible. Wonton Soup– the best of all the dishes. But how hard is it to not screw this up? Clear broth and frozen dumplings. Hot & Sour soup. In truth– I didn’t try this. My wife said it was«just ok». Looking back– I should’ve stuck with the basics and ordered sweet & sour chicken– or something else that they would’ve had to make fresh and that they serve on a regular basis. Needless to say– I will never order from here ever again.

What jerks. Their website and menu say they deliver unti 9:30. I called at 9:00 and got a snarky employee who said«no way». I called again, and(got the same super employee) and pointed out that the just-in-the-mail-menu said 9:30. «Well we don’t.» My menu is going through the shredder right now.

Food is okay. I have had a couple of things here and it’s fairly on par for a neighborhood greasy Chinese joint except for the prices. The prices are a little, not much but a little higher than expected for a family run greasy restaurant in which the food is just okay and a bit more on the greasy and poor quality side. It seems like rather than actually cooking, they make the food taste like anything with flavor through msg and way too much oil. The first time I ate here, I had a mild upset stomach soon after. It wasn’t full blown food poisoning but I definitely felt sick. The last spicy eggplant dish I ordered was so greasy and disgusting that my eggplants were soggier than week old noodles in water. What I don’t like and fueling this review is the non-existent customer service. Been here twice and both times, the cashiers both times were just short and rude. They seemed occupied on their phones. Even the apparent owner or waiter lacks common good service. I walked in to pick up my order and both employee sitting at the bar in the front were hesitant to acknowledge me until the older man grunted and gestured to a young man to help me. I’m okay with quick in and out when I’m getting my takeout but what pissed me off was that later on that night when I took the food out to warm up for dinner, I realized they had gotten my order wrong. I called the restaurant expecting them to make it right and deliver my missing part of the dinner but instead the cashier said my I was only charged what I got and that was that. New China Express is just up the street and it’s definitely less restaurant and more to go but I could care less if it’s the same greasy food. I just moved to the neighborhood and had hoped they would be my Chinese go-to spot but nope, I’ll drive go to New China or a short skip over the bridge to Ballard instead. Terrible that restaurants who have been in the neighborhood long enough think they have it made and customers will always come back no matter what. I can actually critique this because I grew up with restaurant owning parents run by themselves and family. Customer service was always a non-negotiable because they will find somewhere else to go and tell all their friends about you!

We love this primarily because they deliver. It can be very slow but the food is good if you order the right thing. We discovered the pandamana noodles that are way too good. Everything else on the menu is ok. But on a Friday night after a long week this is the perfect fix for the family.

Not the best food, but also not the worst. I have been many times because it is so convenient. I usually order the General tso tofu. I have ordered this at least 20 times in the 2 years I have lived nearby and every time I order online by selecting the general tso chicken and in the notes writing **tofu, no meat** it’s an extra $ 2 which is a rip off since tofu is cheaper than chicken but whatever, like I said it’s convenient. Today I order and I even call to make sure they got the level of spice correct(they don’t always follow direction) and I mentioned tofu. When I got there they had chicken and the front desk man was an absolute jerk! Telling me I did it wrong and should have done things differently. I said I’ve never had an issue and even called to confirm, what should I do differently? He said it depends… And wouldn’t give me any other answer… Then he said I had to pay now and wait 10 min. I did. And he stared at me as I debated whether or not to tip… Ugh… Last time me, my friends, and my family go there again. Just not worth it.

The great thing about Unilocal is that it’s been motivating me to venture out and try places I have never tried before. Pandasia is a place I’ve driven by on Dravus almost every other day and I finally checked it off the restaurant bucket list at lunch. Although I think it’s a place that will have its return customers like some of the reviews I’ve read, I probably won’t be one of them. I enjoyed the interior with its lined stools and opposing comfortable faux-leather booths– even the color combo is creatively original. I ordered the black-bean chicken and asparagus lunch special with a side of BBQ pork and rice, but I wasn’t able to finish my food. I found myself wondering why for the first time in probably a decade I desperately had to order a Coke(I’m usually not a soda drinker) to wash the taste of the food down. I still don’t know the answer, but the flavor I just couldn’t agree with, the sauce was bland with huge chunks of white onion to accompany the odd consistency of the chicken; the sad and tiny shoots of asparagus were too oily; and the BBQ pork just didn’t qualify as barbecued pork. The photos of the $ 3-$ 7 dim sum on the menu look good however,(how can you mess up dim sum?) and I see the reviews of the dumplings are positive, so maybe after the memory of lunch fades I’ll attempt a return. From the perspective of a first-gen ABC, when you live in Seattle, you will constantly crash and burn trying to find decent Chinese food anywhere you can, and when that happens, you quickly learn to dust yourself off and try, try again.

The best non-pizza I’ve had delivered in Seattle(along with ZapVerr, which was great, too). The chicken satay, pad Thai, and cheese rangoons were excellent. Almond fried chicken, alas, was not one I’d repeat and I’m easy where almond fried chicken is concerned. Didn’t especially like the flavor of the gravy and the chicken pieces wanted to shed their skins, maybe because delivery is not the best option for that dish. Pot stickers were plain(a bit) and the complimentary spring rolls were nice to receive but nothing I couldn’t find elsewhere. It’s the satay, pad Thai, and rangoons that put them over the top. And the delivery time is exactly what Eat24 say it will be. They would become a regular for me if I weren’t leaving town.

I have eaten here 4 times and always get the Mongolian Beef. The first 2 times during the summer of 2014, it was great. The 3rd time, something was off, food did not taste right texture was weird. My stomach was pissed. I stayed away for a few months. Had it again in February, 2015, and it was ok. They must have switched chefs or something. I would say as of my last visit, it is slightly better than average take out chinese, but not by much.

I did a take out individual dinner. Hot sour soup, pork, prawn dish, fried rice. $ 14. It was one of the worst Chinese food places I’ve ever eaten. Consistency of food, flavor was horrible. Do not waste your money.

I live nearby, but haven’t been to this place in about 5 years due to some pretty bad food, but figured I should give it another chance since it had been so long. First thing that was a tad odd is I called and ordered 5 items and was told it would be ready for pick in in 10 minutes. I am not sure how they can make 5 completely different items in 10 minutes, but OK, maybe they are just super efficient. Sure enough, I got there and it was ready, so points for speed. They had 2 good items and 3 not so good items. The good was the potstickers and the General Tso’s chicken. Pot Stickers were doughy but were filled with a lot of meat inside and they were pretty tasty. General Tso’s chicken was good as well. The sauce was good, but had zero spice to it, but that was fine I can add some Sriracha and fix that and the the chicken was moist inside and it was a pretty big order. Now for the bad. I got 2 kinds of Fried Rice, one order of chicken and one pf pork. The rice was all stuck together and tasted more like white rice they threw into a wok with nothing else to flavor it. Also, the pork rice had no pork in it. Not one piece. I am going to assume they make a lot of fried rice at lunch then just add whatever meat you want before they serve it. I got my food around 3pm, so maybe it had been made hours early, which would explain why it was all gummy, but I am not sure on that, all I know is that it was gummy, had almost no flavor and forgot the pork in my pork fried rice. Now for the really bad. Almond Chicken. I have NO idea how they were able to pull this off but the coating/breading on the outside was literally as hard as sheet rock. It wasn’t burnt, it was just insanely hard. It didn’t stick to the chicken, so we were able to easily pull it off and it actually made a «snapping» noise when we broke it in half. I have no idea how you even get a coating /breading that hard. We tried taking off all the coating or breading or whatever they fried it in and eat the chicken by itself with the gravy, but the chicken was super dry, so we ended up tossing that whole dish. The total bill was over $ 50 and we really only ate the potstickers and General Tso Chicken, so not exactly a good value there. All and all, with so much Chinese Food in the area, even though this place is about 2 minutes from my house, it will probably be another 5 years before I give it a try again.

I would recommend to try their Pandameina, very flavorful and big portion, the server is very friendly, he keep refilling my water and wine without I asking, oh, and the general Tso chicken is excellent too

I come here often for lunch with my boyfriend. We usually order the general Tso chicken and Mong beef. The portion was large for its price and it also came with soup. I would recommend the owner to make the food because he makes it more flavorful. Don’t come in here expecting it to be Panda Express because they make your food fresh.

If you’re looking for some solid American-ized Chinese food in the Magnolia or Queen Anne area, THISISIT. But what really makes Pandasia shine is the fact that THEYDELIVER. It’s super rare to find a place delivering in Seattle but Pandasia has your back. It’s not a place for people looking for authentic food, or healthy food. But it’s tasty and there’s a large variety, also including plenty of vegetarian options. The delivery for us was a little slow, but the food was warm and fresh and I loved my General Tsao’s Tofu. Please note, I’ve never been inside the restaurant but it looks very clean from when I’ve peaked in.

My boss ordered lunch today for about 20 of us. First off — the meals showed up not labeled — imagine trying to guess on 20 Chinese food orders(!?) and to top it off unless you specify they do not give you rice. This is unheard of to me — what place makes you pay extra for rice in a meal that is intended to be served with rice?! The food tastes okay but not the same without rice. I got the Kung Pao Shrimp

My sweetie and I went here for dinner last night. It had been several years since my last visit, and the menu is completely different. I was a little hesitant, having read recent reviews, but I was really in the mood for some Hot and Sour soup, and hoped that it, at least, remained unchanged, because I used to love Pandasia’s soup. Well! Our soup was delicious. We also had Mongolian Beef, which was tender and flavorful, served over crisp bean threads; and the Braised Eggplant with Tofu and Black Mushrooms was absolutely scrumptious. The portions were ample to feed two of us and also have something to take home. The tea was good and hot, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We were pleased and will definitely return.

It’s awfully convenient to our home which is why we’ve been here more than once and some of their Chinese-style dishes are palatable. My husband has mentioned that their sweet and sour chicken is good because they only use breast meat. That having been said, I would not recommend ordering any of their thai dishes. I ventured out of what I normally get and was sorely disappointed by their version of pad thai. It was medium sized rice noodles in a pink color. It tasted mildly of fish and that’s it. No peanut, no lime, zip. I threw it away after one bit. I’ll go back for convenient fried chinese food if i’m in a pinch and being super lazy, but that’s it.

I obviously do not want to cuss on Unilocal but I do want to relate The New Pandasia is that«‘no BS» friend that we all have(or should have). They are straight forward with everything from their service, menu and prices. They are not trying to pass as anything more formal than they are and they are not promising you the best meal ever. The food is great for what you pay and how quickly it gets to you. Quick and polite service is always appreciated.

Good, god. I don’t know what’s going on here, but the fusion thing just isn’t working out very well. There’s experimentation, and then there’s Frankenstein’s recipe book. Chow Mein is like bland spaghetti. The Pad Thai is, well the words«strange» and«yuck» come to mind. Talk about taste bud mutiny.
