Great Thai food reminds me of Thailand Recommendations 1. Papaya salad 2. Tom ka gai soup 3. Siam Phan Thai 4. Noodles delight 6. Sweet lychee paradise 7. Tropical iced tea Good quick service. I love hot food but the three star was too much for me. Suggest staying with 2 star or 2.5 star

I love coming here: excellent food, and great service. Be it for take out or for a sit-down dinner, Thai Siam never fails to quench my appetite, and often leaves me with leftovers. The fish-based dishes are often a favorite — they typically taste very fresh. There are also many solid vegetarian options. There are also a wide variety of appetizers and sauces to combine with the appetizers — in particular, the spring rolls are excellent. If you are a spicy foods fan(as I am), go for the 4 stars — but if not, 1 and 2 star dishes still have plenty of flavor.

Pleasant local favorite that’s pretty kid friendly. Lots of different dishes — we had scallops and a pad thai– and nice service.

I was on the hunt for an authentic Thai cuisine to fulfill my Thai food cravings and I came across this place on Unilocal due to high ratings. The pictures looked good and it was near by to where I was staying. I didn’t eat inside but I went inside to order a take out. The inside was very authentic looking which I appreciate. I ordered papaya salad, pad Thai and Thai tea. Let me tell you. Their serving portions were off the hook! Worth the money. The food was delicious!!! I’m glad I found this place.

I went into Thai Siam after having a horrible experience with their take out eats. The gentleman at the counter was very understanding and refunded my money no problem. He listened to my concerns and thanked me for coming back in, stating that he really appreciated the feedback. I have always loved this place and this was one bad experience. I’m grateful my complaint was taken so well. I will be giving Thai Siam another chance at take out after all.

I go far, far out of my way for this Thai fried rice. The fried rice is the best tasting and when I crave it? Have to have it.

This place is excellent, decently priced, flavorful, and… spicy! I can usually handle a lot of heat, but when the staff tells you that dish is hot, believe them. This is my new go-to for last minute take-out.

Beautiful restaurant. Huge menu. I was so excited looking at it. This is going to be our new favorite spot. The food came. Soggy, too-soft noodles with no texture, just weird warm limp greasiness. Tears almost came to my eyes from the sheer disappointment. Like going on a date with the most beautiful person ever, going back to their place, and. well. If you can’t handle chewing food, this place is great. The grease will help the food slide right down your throat too. (I don’t have a problem with giving one-star reviews because I believe restaurants that serve terrible food should close to make way for restaurants that serve good food.)

This restaurant is a true hidden gem!!! We were looking for somewhere that served a simple plate of vegetables as we are on a diet. We’d driven by many times and never really noticed this restaurant; small white building, nothing fancy on the outside but the inside is amazing! It is much bigger than it looks from the outside, the décor and atmosphere are incredible; very cozy, quiet and comfortable. You will appreciate enjoying a leisurely meal without employees making you feel rushed so they can keep the diners moving; sadly very common in most restaurants these days. Tables are available for larger groups. We sat in a booth; the old fashioned comfortable kind with the high walls that gives the meal a welcome cozy and intimate feel. We had vegetable/beef plates that were absolutely delicious! They have quite an extensive menu that includes some delicious looking desserts. Service was excellent; employees were very friendly, warm and welcoming. Prices are very inexpensive. Portions are large. Restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. Small parking lot on the side of the building and street parking available. I was really impressed to learn how much the owner does for our community. Also impressive were the comment cards on each table; I can’t remember the last time I seen these but this says so much about the owners; they care about their community, they care about their customers and they have a tremendous amount of pride in themselves and their business. I would highly recommend this little hidden gem and will be back many times. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Me and my husband are big fans of Thai food. Recently moved from Houston, we were in search of a new restaurant to call our regular. The Thai tea and tropical ice tea were amazing!!! The pad see ew was very yummy!!! We enjoyed that a lot. The flavor was spot on. The Tom yum Kai soup and yum yum salad(spicy beef salad) was a tad sweet and the beef was over cooked. The chicken satay was very bland. Service was AMAZING(that’s why I gave them an extra star)!!! Everyone was super friendly and attentive from start to finish. We will be back to try their other entrée dishes

Thai Siam was able to handle our party of 7 so off to lunch we went. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered one of the specials, a dish of duck with lychee. Although ordered 2 stars for heat it didn’t come through at all and the amount of duck in the dish was disappointing. The Wife had a tofu rama with peanut sauce that she found tasty but not much spinach so it just looked like a brown sauce over rice noodles. I did enjoy the shrimp fried rice. These days any free parking in the Ballard area is a plus and that was the main reason for us going that day and if I needed Thai for a group with parking, Thai Siam is perfectly OK. It probably won’t knock my socks off but it is a good option.

The sweet and sour sauce is THE classic sauce for wings. Also they put a real pineapple in the fried rice. One of the best Thai food in Seattle for sure.

This place helped restore my faith in humanity, and I will come here every time I need a dose of Asian comfort food. After a long day of moving apartments, my husband and I finally decide it’s time to eat. We call and place an order for pickup. We get in the car — dead battery. It takes us over an hour before two very nice Canadians stopped and helped jump our car. Thai Siam has in the meantime called about our order, so I told them what happened and they said no problem. We finally rush over to discover they’ve stayed open an extra 20 minutes just to make sure we had something to eat, and gave us free Thai iced teas in hopes it will help make our night a little better. It was just the sweetest gesture, especially after a pretty taxing day. And bonus! Food was great! We got the fresh rolls, tom yum gai, satay, yum yum salad with beef, black rice with coconut milk, and sticky rice with mango. can’t wait to go back!

Reggie C. Jr. says: «I really love the Sweet Lychee Paradise drink with real lychees and lemon and lime. It usually comes with mint too but they were out, which was okay too. The shrimp and tofu in the pad thai were cooked well. If you like lychees and well done tofu, go here.» Reggie C. Sr. agrees. Thai is hard to do bad, but this place excels in making everything virtually perfect. Our favorite dishes include the hearty Special Hot Beef, the sweet but not too sweet Chicken Delight, the Top of the World Beef, and any of the noodle dishes and soups. The service is friendly, and for takeout, your food is ready when they say it will be, so no cold food or extra waiting. Kids love this place. The 5 stars are for the food, consistency, service, and value. The one suggestion is to add a shrimp fresh roll to the menu.
On the 1st of January, two hungry souls were wandering around the town of Ballard after finding one closed resto after the other. An inconspicuous but effervescently decorated Thai resto in the corner of 15th showed up on our search, and to our surprise — at 10min before its opening there was already a group of people waiting outside this small establishment. I think this is probably one of the top two Thai restos I’ve been to in Seattle. The flaming seafood tom yum soup was creamy and visually stunning. The angel wings were chicken wings that were stuffed with minced veggies and meats with a fried crust that was just so. Satisfying. The panang curry was absolutely on point but the pad see ew could’ve used a bit more sugar. The dessert was a sweet black sticky rice with lychee and vanilla ice cream. Omfg. If I wasn’t so full from the delicious entrees my boyfriend might not have gotten a single bite of the dessert. Did I mention the Thai iced tea tasted like crack?

This place was busy the last time we went in, but overall the food is probably why it gets so packed. I’ve been going here for years and have never had such great Thai food like this in Seattle. They offer a lot of outstanding items on their menu as well as courteous and polite customer service. I always order their Pork Phad Thai and am always amazed at the flavor and how delicious it is each time I visit. If you’re in the Crown Hill/Ballard area and are in the mood for some authentic Thai cuisine, this is the spot. You may have to wait a little because this place fills up fast, but let me tell you, it’s worth the wait. I suggest #61, their crab rangoons, their soups are to die for, as well as their Phad Thai.

Street parking and private lot? Check. Adorable décor? Check. Fast service? Check. Large, cheap, delicious portions? Check x3! Thai Siam proved to be a great lunch option yesterday for a friend and I. We were looking for a spot near our co-working office and this ended up being just a few blocks away. The menu is chockfull of traditional dishes and plentiful options. Noodles, rice, curries, plates with chicken, tofu, pork, beef, shrimp — or dishes with all of the aforementioned proteins! It wasn’t terribly busy but the guy working the floor did have a few tables to wait including ours. Food came out within 10 – 15 mins but after we finished eating we were stuck there a bit wondering where our server had gone. He seemed to disappear for about 15 mins so it took a while to collect the bill. Overall it was pleasant. I wouldn’t necessarily drive all the way to Ballard just to eat here but if you’re nearby it’s a great option.

RUDEST place ever. There are several restaurants around Seattle that have names with some version of «Siam» and«Thai» — and I ended up calling this place by accident instead of calling the one closer to me. I was placing an order and the rude man kept rushing me and talking over me. Then I asked if they had dumplings, and he said they don’t have dumplings(odd, I thought, for an Asian restaurant). So instead I asked for satay and he lists off the different satays, to which I go, «you don’t have lamb?» That must have been a sore spot because he started screaming that they don’t have lamb at that restaurant… at which point I realized I must have called the wrong place because Siam on Easlake has amazing Lamb Satay. So the grouchy waiter garbled: «This is Siam you mean to call? Me: «no [laugh in embarrassment], I think I called the wrong one. I’m SO sorry!» Waiter: «YOUSOSTUPID!» [hangs up] Someone’s obviously a DICK and needs to get out more to understand basic manners. Who cares what the food tastes like… With people like this working there, I don’t even want to find out.

Coming to Thai Siam gave me a ton of mixed feelings and the good moments and the bad moments kept conflicting with one another. I’ve decided to construct my review in a pros and cons format so that all of my experience dining here is illustrated. From University District the place is slightly on the farther side. You can take the 48 to Loyal Heights and it’s about a 30 minute bus ride. There is a big sign that is quite bright so the place is hard to miss. Interior/Setting — The place is probably the prettiest Thai place I’ve seen. It has a lot of decorations and the color scheme all matches. It’s not super dim lit but it is on the dimmer side. The seats are very comfortable and the place is clean. Every table has a light above it or near it and there are small tea lights on the candles as well. There are quite a few options on the menu and they have their spice levels listed for you as well. One thing I noticed is that tofu isn’t an option as your«meat» in your dishes but they do offer tofu. We decided to order the fresh rolls, pad thai with chicken, pad see yew with tofu and a side of sticky rice. Fresh rolls; PROS: These are delicious! The ingredients inside the rolls are really fresh but the thing that makes it take a home run is the sauce. There is peanut sauce and plum sauce. The peanut sauce is kept warm and it’s one of the best peanut sauces I’ve tasted. I like how they give you plenty as well. The plum sauce is also a great addition. It has a sweet and sour taste that pairs well with the crispness of the rolls. CONS: Unfortunately for only two rolls cut in half it is overpriced. Furthermore, the rice paper is quite gummy and chewy so biting into it is difficult. But because it is quite gummy it keeps the insides together better. Chicken pad thai; PROS: The portion size is huge! You are definitely getting your moneys worth. We got this as a 4 star which is the hottest. We were given warning about it twice(which was nice of them) and still went with it. CONS: Because the spice level is so high there is a huge trade off of flavor for spice. Suddenly the noodles taste like chili flakes and nothing like pad thai. Every bite literally tasted like those flakes of hotness. I was disappointed because I’ve had pad thai that has tasted delicious and was super spicy. The noodles were also slightly on the gummier side. Pad see yew tofu; PROS: The portion size again is quite big. I actually enjoyed this dish quite a lot. I was really afraid of the noodles tasting too much like soy sauce but these actually didn’t have an overpowering amount of soy sauce flavor. The tofu pieces were plentiful and were not overly firm but not soft either. CONS: It was slightly greasy and you could see all the oil pile up. Also — this dish costs a dollar more than pad thai which is something I’ve never seen before. Usually all the noodle dishes are priced the same. Side of sticky rice; PROS: The rice is perfectly steamed and hot. It comes in a nice presentation that has your interest peaked. CONS: It’s pricier than normal for a side of white rice and that’s probably due to the method and presentation they use. Unfortunately, once you take the rice out it starts to get cold and hard. That makes the rice less enjoyable. However, I’m beginning to wonder if you should keep it in the woven basket in it’s plastic bag. Service was spot on. They were friendly, attentive, patient and respectful. They always checked up on us and refilled our waters. Bathrooms here are very clean and candle lit. They are decorated nicely as well. The cost for everything was slightly under $ 30. The price seemed pretty fair, especially for the portion size. They have feedback slips on the table if you want to give them feedback. On the way out there is a lady holding jelly beans in her hand. A nice little sweet treat before you’re on your way! Thai Siam definitely had some highlights and some lows but I would say overall it’s just average.
