Stopped by there in April from recommendations of co-workers. Had the Tastrami, was decent, cost was $ 10.50+tax and tips, but my Amex charges just came in, and the charge for the 1 Tastrami was $ 20.56. Wow, that was quite the tip that I didn’t put in. Has anyone else experienced this over charges?

The classic Italian is more bread than meat. Ordering to eating was extremely fast though. Prices aren’t horrible, and the staff was really nice. If I get a chance I’ll try another sandwich sometime but I won’t be getting the classic Italian again; and Italian sandwiches are normally my favorite.

The Tat’s food truck sets camp at SLU on Mondays, so naturally if it’s Monday and I’m itching for some cheesesteak action, I usually find myself in line for their delectable steaks of cheese and protein. As an absolute cheesesteak connoisseur(highly debatable and most likely exaggerated), I know the ins and outs of cheesesteaks, and I know a good one as soon as I set eyes on it. How do the cheesesteaks at Tat’s stack up? They’re pretty darn good. Their original Philly Cheesesteak is most divine, especially with a side of whiz that will not only make make your cheesesteak more flavorful, but also 500 times more messy. Their Chicken Philly is also pretty decent, so if you’re trying to eat a little bit healthier you can’t go wrong replacing the standard beef with chicken. Their Tatstrami which has Russian slaw in it is a bit on a sweet side, but if you’re into that kind of food combination, you’ll surely be a fan. Lines can be a bit long sometimes, but they do a great job of churning through their orders and delivering quality cheesesteaks.

These guys know how to build a sandwich: Start with a large fresh hoagie roll; add mouth watering slaw and various condiments; top with cheese and some of the best slow cooked pastrami or steak this side of Philly! Not only are the folks on the Tat’s truck and restaurant talented chefs, they are generous to a fault. On many occasions, I have witnessed the staff give food to a hungry person who couldn’t afford the price of a sandwich! Making a positive difference and serving up kick-ass food. Giving Tat’s 5 out of 5. They earned it.

I finally tried Tat’s, and it was awweeeesome! My friend and I spotted the truck after we went to the Sounders game, as it was conveniently located outside CenturyLink(perfect for drunk fans, in need of food). I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak as was recommended by the cashier, and my friend had the Pastrami, the other sandwich recommended by the cashier. He did not disappoint us, as both of our sandwiches were yummy! It’s on a baguette which is a footlong. The Phily Cheesesteak had tons of meat, caramelized onions and peppers and cheeeeeese. It’s easy to split, too, since it’s a heavy sandwich. I also tried my friend’s Pastrami, which was very good. It had slices of yummy pastrami, mustard and cole slaw. Although hers was awesome, I dug mine more!

Being a pastrami fan, the Tatstrami is straight legit. The sauce they use is the perfect combination of flavor to compliment the meat. The best pastrami sandwich I’ve had west of Phoenix. The Philly Cheese is a close second. They use a four cheese blend and not the commonly used liquid cheese. The line is always long but the sandwiches are always hot and fresh. They spend most of their time in the South Lake Union area but hit the east side every Tuesday.

Lowering stars because when they are busy it seems that they will just serve you whatever is easiest for them. I specifically ordered a sandwich without peppers and with cheese whiz and was served a default(with peppers with their cheese blend, not whiz). The ticket taped to my bag even reflected how I ordered, but the sandwich inside did not. I know you guys get busy but come on. I know it will take me longer to get my food, I’m willing to wait so you should be willing to prepare it like the ticket says.

The Philly Cheesesteaks and the Tatstrami are definitely to die for… literally. You will enjoy every single bite as your arteries clog and you feel yourself slowly fading from existence. Just know, it was worth it. I preferred the Philly more than the Tatstrami, but that’s just a personal opinion as both were very good. Ask for the steak sauce!

Staff was friendly and quick to take your order. The line may be long, but it moves pretty fast. I received my food within 5 – 7 minutes of ordering. Their philly cheese steak($ 10.50) was flavorful and meaty. I added grilled mushrooms for an additional $ 1. The bread was soft and squishy. Thinly sliced beef was tender, and there was no fat or gristle. The sandwich is pretty sizable, so i didnt get to finish it all. On my next visit, i’d like to try the chicken philly sandwich and their signature tatstrami. Overall, highly recommended.

re: Bellevue Food Truck Only comes twice a month, so if you haven’t had this, you have to plan your meal around the days available. I finally gave in regarding food trucks, since I haven’t had one since 2001 in Washington DC due to Food Truck Health Issues/Concerns. The Philly Cheesesteak was AWESOME. I haven’t had a Cheesesteak this good since Pat’s in Philly, although this one was a lot greasier. You get a pretty good portions of meat and It’s a lot for one person. I would recommend spiltting one with another individual and just eating a bag of chips or something else on the side. This definitely is a carnivore delight. Make sure you give yourself at least 30 minutes, because from waiting in line to receipt of food is about how long it takes.

Brilliant food truck! The Tat-strami is lifechanging(for the better). It’s like a philly cheese steak but with pastrami instead of streak. It’s awesome and it’s pretty large(cost around $ 11 with tax). They come to 4th and Union every Thursday and have a webcam so you can see how long the line is. Highly recommended

Their Philly Cheesesteak is mouthwatering delicious! My coworker who raved about Tat’s brought a group of us sandwiches one day. I am not sure if it always comes with it, but I really liked the addition of mushrooms to the sandwich along with the grilled onions and peppers. I also really liked their blend of cheese sauce. I sometime find some other Philly Cheesesteaks too heavy, while this one was filling; it was so full of flavor I had to eat it all!

I found this place completely by accident one Wednesday on my way from my work to Bartell’s during my lunch break. I can now say that I LOVE this food truck. Every Wednesday it is on 6th and Olive and I always try to make it before they close for the day. I have had their Tatstrami and their Tat’s Philly Cheesesteak. Both were delicious, but of the two my favorite is the Tatstrami, hands down. The pastrami itself is house made and so is the coleslaw that accompanies it(on the sandwich). I also thoroughly enjoy their mac salad. If you’ve never tried Tat’s before, I’d recommend the Tatstrami and a mac salad with your drink of choice. If you’re getting the Philly Cheesesteak, ask for a side of steak sauce. Their steak sauce has just the right amount of kick to it! The staff are very friendly and approachable, even caring so much that when the lady saw I was about to put the sandwich into my backpack she double bagged it for me, just in case(the sandwich was wrapped well enough that it didn’t leak at all, but I really appreciated her concern and attentiveness!). So, if you’ve seen the truck and are wondering whether you should try it or not — stop wondering. Just do it, I swear you won’t regret it!

Let me first say I am not a fan of the regular Tat’s down in Pioneer Square. I gave them only three stars, and tried hard to like it, but couldn’t. THISPLACE on the other hand should give lessons on how to do it right: –I ordered the Tatstrami –Perfect level of meat. Not a meatwich(ugh), and not a saladwich(where’s the beef, yo?) –Fresh bun — so perfectly soft. –Well-constructed. This was neatly put together, not sloppily thrown together like the main store down in Pioneer Square. I am *totally* coming back.

We were waiting in line at the DOTA2 International. I get that it was busy and that’s why I won’t give this a 1. They came out before running out of food and let us know there were about 35 more servings left. Appreciated the warning, people left that were 35 out and my group was around number 10. We got to the front of the line which took over 40 minutes to wait in to begin with and were denied service because they were out of bread. We asked for food on plates or a bag of chips and nothing was offered.(Every other food truck had a 45 min line as well). It would have been nice to get something from waiting in line so long, but we’re just denied service and told to Scram.

We stopped by the Tat’s Truck while it was in Bellevue today. We had the Tatstrami and the Philly Cheesesteak. Both were great. There was quite a line but it moved fast. The turn around time from ordering to getting your food was like lightning. This food truck was outstanding for two reasons other than great sandwiches: fast and friendly. Above average in both those categories. Good job crew!

How can you run out of cheesesteaks and force me to get a chicken sandwich… They run out of cheesesteaks at 12:30, so get there early. Also wouldn’t recommend the tatstrami, it’s really salty and lukewarm. Go for the cheesesteak and only chicken if you’re unlucky. The line goes by very quickly as which is a huge plus.

I’ve been dying to go to Tat’s Delicatessen for ages but it’s location makes it really difficult. When I found out there was a truck and it was just right down the street from my office, I bolted out of my chair like Usain(the pale, blonde, more-to-love version, anyway). Just like with the deli, you’re bound to encounter a long line here. Luckily, it doesn’t take too long to get through and you’ll be rewarded with a giant, delicious sandwich in return. The tat’strami gets all the credit here, but I’m a big fan of the classic Italian. Keep in mind these ain’t no Subway sandwiches. You’ll need to open up your mouth, your belly, and your wallet to get a piece of these bad boys, but it’s worth it. Follow them on twitter to find out when they’re headed near you next and go!

Amazing. The tatstrami was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. In house cured pastrami had great flavor and texture. Cole slaw and Russian dressing was just right. Had a hard time deciding between the veggie sandwich and their signature tatstrami, so I asked for extra veg and they kindly agreed, the resulting meal was perfect. As a slim gal, this huge sandwich actually became two lunches. The line waiting at the truck is proof of the quality. The workers were very efficient and we got through the line quickly. I will be back.

I’m so happy the food truck now comes to downtown Bellevue, I just wish it was more frequently than once a month! Despite how long the line can get, the service is quick, efficient, and friendly with delicious food. What more could you ask from a food truck? $ 10 for a sandwich may seem like a lot but it comes with a lot of meat and bread. I can easily have lunch for two days. But believe me, it is worth it even if you manage to eat the whole thing in one sitting. The cheesesteaks are so tasty, we now have Tat’s schedule in our office calendar so we conveniently forget to pack lunches that day ;)
