Best brunch I’ve ever had. Get the pancake, but the eggs are also delicious, but so is the fruit and yogurt. #Nobad decisions @brunch

Went here for brunch on a double date on a Sunday. We made reservations a few hours prior not knowing what to expect. When we arrived, we realized it was a good thing we did, because boy, were they busy! This brunch spot was pretty big compared to the other ones around Seattle. The inside had very nice natural lighting(huge plus for me.) it was decorated with a sort of modern appeal to it, with a twist of a «mad men» feel to it. The noise level was average-loud. But that was expected with so many people in one area. The food was delicious, but then portions weren’t that big for the price. The staff was friendly and professional. Overall, tallulah’s was a great place. You won’t be disappointed!

Love this place! The food and drinks are amazing! Fresh food, great service and a really fun vibe. I can’t wait to go back in the summer when the weather is better and I can enjoy the patio area!

I was recommended this place by a local in Seattle and decided to try this place out because he guaranteed I would love it– and I did. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and sat next to the window. The inside was clean, beautiful, and had a really great vibe to it. Our waiter was really patient and sweet while we took our time to order. I started with an almond milk latte(10⁄10) and a banana walnut bread with maple butter. Obviously delicious. I then ordered an herb and goat cheese omelette which came with potatoes and I added a handmade lamb sausage. This was so good! I’ve never had something like this before and it was fantastic. The service here was amazing and the manager came up to us multiple times to ensure we were happy. Lovely place to check out in a really cute area!

Heathy place which is great for someone with dietary restrictions. I was there for brunch and had their corned beef hash, brioche toast with house made Nutella, and a vodka cocktail. The hash wasn’t very good. The toast, cocktail(with cucumber), and service were all pretty solid. Overall this place was average at best but I wouldn’t recommend it to any friends.

I was invited back to give them a try after my poor brunch experience(burnt pancakes were awful) so I came back for dinner! My mom and I ordered two lattes, the chicken wings from their happy hour menu, the winter vegetable bowl, the hanger steak, and apple fritters for dessert. Service was warm and the dim lighting ambiance was great. Our server and the assistant manager came by a few times! The lattes were foamy and delicious. Chicken wings were good but somewhat charred. Winter vegetable bowl was filling and really good! Hanger steak was average(asked for well but came out pink) but the potatoes it came with were amazing. Apple fritters were good with caramel sauce but super sour. The food is good but nothing amazing. Coffee is worth the trip! And their avocado toast is still the best in my book.

I had one night in Seattle and decided to grab my one dinner at Tallulah’s. I’m uncertain why the reviews are so low, but I really enjoyed my meal here. I was traveling in town for business solo, and saddled up at the bar to enjoy my meal. Since I was driving I elected not to have alcohol but rather indulged in the restaurant’s Cucumber Basil Ginger Soda. Yum, yum, yum. For dinner I had the lamb burger, which was really really tasty and well cooked. I got there early on a Friday evening(around 5:30pm/6pm), and by the time I left(7:00/7:30pm) the place was hopping! Lots of well-dressed patrons and couples enjoying the beginning of their weekend, so at least observationally it looked like this place can get crowded at peak times. The menu was creative, the food was well-executed, the drinks were tasty, the staff was efficient, the décor was hip, and the crowd was lively. I’m not sure what all the disappointment is for, but as a citizen from a great food city, Chicago, I thought Tallulah’s was great and would recommend it.

I love this place and have been several times. The food and service is excellent. The food always exceeds my expectations and every dish though may sound simple on the menu is so good and full of flavor. The one thing. The only thing that held me back from a 5 star review is those round tables. I always get seated at them and for two people it’s not enough room for all of the plates, water, and glass ware. I really would love to see these be replaced with good ol’ square tables. I will be back again but next time will ask to be seated by the window where they have square tables. Otherwise, try this place you won’t be disappointed!

I had dinner with a friend at Tallulah’s the other night. The food was really incredible. We shared a main dish plus salad and several small plates. Each was unique and totally delicious. The service was excellent, too. And the price was reasonable for such good food. Unfortunately, the acoustics in the room are terrible, and that combined with too-loud rocking music made conversation across the table very difficult. That’s a deal breaker for me, and why I won’t be back(except maybe during quieter hours.) I value conversation with my companions even more than good food.

We stopped in later on a Thursday night and there were a few folks at the bar and a few groups scattered around at the tables. It was pretty nasty out that night and I felt like the big space wasn’t particularly warm, so I never ended up taking my coat off. The service was friendly when we arrived, brought over several menus, asked about drinks, and asked if we had any questions about the menu. We placed our drink orders and it took a little while for them to come back, but they were pretty good. My date ordered off the specialty cocktail list and that was the better of the drinks, for sure. To start our dinner we split the kale and white bean dip for the pita chips and roasted veggies. I wish it was a bean based dip with kale in it, instead it was a kale deep with just a few white beans. I know Kale is like Hansel, so hot right now, but I’ve never loved kale, so the flavor balance was skewed a little too much to the leafy green for me. For our entrees we had the soup, which had a nice squash taste with some oil lightly drizzled over the top. I only had a bite, so I can’t speak too much about the soup. It seems like it should have come with a crusty bread or something to add some texture. I ended up with their steak, which was perfectly cooked, a nice char on the outside, but a nice pink medium-rare in the middle. With the chimichurri sauce and the potato galette it had a nice fall flavor, was hearty and was a decent size for the price. It is so nice to see a full meal instead of just small plates that you have to cobble together. Once our order was placed the service lagged a bit, we weren’t checked in on or offered another drink until we had finished up our food and were ready for the check. Overall, the ambiance of the space seemed to not exactly match the food, it wasn’t bad, but for a space that felt like it was for a late night date, it was awfully bright and bare. I’d definitely recommend it as a good option if you’re over on that side of the hill, and maybe in summer when they can open up all the windows, but I don’t think it will be a place that I go out of the way to revisit.

Talulah’s is so awesome I am writing a second review after coming home from my most recent experience. Our service was excellent and the food was A.MAZ.ING. My partner and I went for dinner on my birthday and had one of the best meals of our lives. We both started with specialty cocktails — I got the Diazo which was a little spicy and probably the best tequila cocktail I’ve ever had. For starters, we got the grilled chicken skewers which were cooked perfectly and paired with a delicious sauce, as well as the brussels sprouts with rutabaga purée — SO unusual and SO delicious! We both had the hangar steak for our entrée which was, unsurprisingly mind-blowingly delicious. Before we left, I had an espresso, which was covered by the house. Their specialty cocktails and their small plates are the best part of this place! Also, the atmosphere is so cute and cozy. It’s no wonder they were PACKED on a Tuesday night. I’ll definintely continue to come here on special occasions. Thank you, Talulah’s, for being such an awesome neighborhood restaraunt!

I love Tallulahs! There’s such a great ambiance and feel to it. I went for Saturday morning brunch and they accommodated our large group. I opted for the lemon and ricotta pancakes which are massive! Definitely one to order if you want leftovers for a few days. The lemon curd was tangy and good mix with the ricotta topped on the fluffy pancake with a side of syrup. My friends had everything from the the eggs Benedict(highly recommend) and the avocado toast(best if you want a smaller meal). This a reliable restaurant that always impresses!

We came to Tallulah’s on a recommendation from one of our foodie friends, and it was a fantastic spot for a date night! We ended up sitting at the bar(cancelled our reservation for a table) and enjoyed the scene. The ambiance is awesome, trendy without being way too over the top, just the right lighting for either a fun night with friends or a little romance — and really cool décor! I loved the cat painting — looked very regal and was totally tongue in cheek. The drinks: awesome. I just told the bartender what flavors I liked/didn’t and he whipped up something delish for me. The food: also awesome. We shared a flatbread(lamb sausage!) and had the trio of spreads to start. We also shared the steak for dinner — it was aboslutely wonderful. We will be back!

Came here for brunch with hubby, cousin and aunt at 10 am and the wait was supposed to be 20 minutes. Luckily there was a cancellation! Note to self to make reservations in the future! The hostess was very polite while we were waiting. The parking is street parking which wasn’t difficult to find. It’s very open and bright. I ordered a quinoa bowl with avocado and smoked salmon and poached egg. Healthy and delicious! I’m usually not a fan on quinoa but that day it was good. I left no scraps on my plate. Others ordered pancakes, hash, banana/nuttella toast. That combination is heaven. I’ll have to return for happy hour, dinner, or another meal.

What a lovely experience! Brunch with the ladies is always good, but this time the food and the charming & attentive staff really rocked our world. I am sad to say I didn’t make good notes on what I ordered, but I loved it so much I know I was loathe to let them take my plate and they didn’t seem to mind us lingering and chatting. We loved the ability to make reservations and the staff was super accommodating to a few people who had dietary restrictions. I’d say this is one of my favorite brunch places for sure, both kid friendly and upscale, what’s not to love?

Four stars for the food, 1 star for service. Rounding out with three stars overall. Tallulah’s, you are lucky your pancakes are so damn good, because eating it unfortunately requires putting up with some terrible customer service and servers with permanent resting b– faces. That huge cat photo by the door must be your inspiration because y’all have the same scowl. So check it. We come here right ON the dot at 9am but the door was still locked. we wait outside — whatevs no big deal. A few minutes later, we see a woman making her way to the door from the inside. YES — we can already taste that pancake!!! She gets to the door, sees us, inserts the key to unlock, and walks away without so much as a glance. We were dumbfounded. Any sensible hostess with even a lick of courtesy, upon seeing a queue of people waiting outside the door, would unlock the door, push it open, greet and invite us in. BUTNOPE, NOTTHISONE. So we walk in, she looks greatly displeased that we dare go to a restaurant right when it opens(the nerve) and seats us. We thought that would be the end of it, but nope, here comes scowling employee number two. Multiple thank you’s said and not a single«you’re welcome» or «no prob» or MAN even a half smile would’ve been fine. When we ordered the eggs Benedict by saying«Benedict», she responded in a somewhat snarky tone«which? That Benedict?» Yea GIRL there’s only one on the damn menu, what other Benedict could I be talking about. SO fed up with these cap hill restaurants that get away with treating paying customers like junk. You charge a premium on these foods, the least you could do is treat us with basic human decency. Service aside, the food was great. Loved the lemon ricotta pancakes(thick and fluffy on the inside with a crispy outside, plus a delicious scoop of lemon curd on top). The avocado on brioche was also good although the avo toast has been done and done. Also recommend the egg bennies, but maybe order it verbatim as it is written on the menu because you might confuse the server with the myriad of nonexistent Benedict options on the menu.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the service rocks. Yesterday was my 2nd time trying the brunch menu and everything I’ve eaten has been great with flavor and freshness. I’ve had the red quinoa and smoked salmon bowl, homemade corned beef hash and eggs, the fries and the macrina toast. They make great Bloody Mary but this time I tried the lemongrass chili soda and it too was tasty. My next goal is to check them out for dinner.

Such a cool spot with great décor and patio dining. It was packed for brunch around 10:30AM, so I’d suggest going a bit earlier or a bit later. Service was slow, but friendly. I ordered the Ham and Gruyère Omelette with crispy shallots, and it was DELICIOUS. My only complaint is that the portions are ridiculously small. A few other ladies I was dining with ordered the Red Quinoa and House Smoked Salmon Bowl, and it was beautifully presented. Add in the poached egg and avocado, it was a bowl bursting of color — a very lovely addition to the menu. Oh, the Bloody Mary was… extremely odd tasting. I can’t even describe it, but 3 of us tried it and none of us were a fan. It’s $ 5 for a side of toast with mediocre, bland strawberry jam… whaaaaaaat? Rip off. With all that being said, Tallulah’s is a decent spot as long as you don’t arrive with the highest of expectations.

I stopped by for brunch a few months ago… and fell in love! The service was fantastic. The waitress was awesome when it came to getting good options for the vegans at the table and splitting up our bills at the end. One of the vegan ladies was extra happy because the waitress asked the chef about a menu item, and the chef apparently got excited and said he or she would make something awesome for my friend.(He or she succeeded.) The Bloody Mary was good. The fruit bowl was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything everyone ordered was good/great. One of these days I hope to go back for brunch and also stop by for dinner!

I came here for brunch around noon on a Saturday and immediately fell in love with the gold«hello» in the cement outside the entrance and the beautiful floored tiles as you enter in. The restaurant looked and sounded pretty busy, but thankfully the wait was only a few minutes. The menu is pretty decent — about ten plates which consist of the basic brunch items(all for $ 12 or under too!) and then extras(bacon, sausage, salad, coffee cake, etc). There’s also toast served a few different ways. It was hard deciding what to get because everything sounded good, but as we were deciding, we eyed the lemon and ricotta pancake our neighboring table was eating. It looked humongous and delicious, so we knew we had to go for it. and then we also got avocado toast and bacon on the side for more variety(and protein :) Lemon and ricotta pancake — $ 9. Our eyes did not deceive us. Not only was this pancake HUGE(it can easily feed 2 – 4 people as it was maybe 12″ in diameter? Pic doesn’t do it justice), it’s edges were crispy — so good! The pancake was also fluffy and light on the insides — I loved the varying textures! The lemon was creamy with the perfect amount of tang, which made the pancake even more delicious. I don’t think I’ve had such a special pancake before… try it! Macrina toast with avocado, sunflower seed and espelette — $ 6. I would just get this as a snack! It’s so simple and good. It was a hearty side — three large slices of wheat toast(or brioche) with avocado thickly spread on and sunflower seeds sprinkled on top. Lastly, there’s a dash of espelette that gives the toast an occasional kick. I do have to say though that this is something I can make probably exactly the same at home, so I’ll keep that in mind before I order this again. I’d still recommend it though ;) Side of bacon — $ 4. I was kind of disappointed when this came and half regretted choosing bacon instead of sausage because there were only three slices. but after eating it, I forgot those thoughts and just wanted more. Since I shared with my bf, three slices really isn’t much, but spending $ 8 on two sides of bacon seems unreasonable :/oh well. Not sure it’s amazing enough to get again. but it did complement the toast pretty well. Overall, portions and quality were really good! Talullah’s has the potential for five stars, but I’ll need to come back(and maybe dine outside in the patio!) and try an egg dish to update my review. I look forward to trying more of their large, delicious dishes. Yum, yum :)
