This is not really a «Coffee Shop» as I have come to define the term in Seattle, but the coffee is good(and affordable) and the service is prompt and friendly.

Todd, are you not aware that I get farty and bloated with a foamy latte? Foam is so yesterday apparently. Every espresso bevvie has had its heyday, American sweetheart latte, luminary cappuccino, ingénue macchiato, and the new It Girl: Americano. Espresso bars are brutal! The patrons fickle! There is always someone out there with less foam and willing to grant the same, if not more, satisfaction for less money. There there espresso based drinks, soon that bitch Americano will be pimping itself out to foreign commercials, that its agent swears will never be available to American audiences, just so it can keep up appearances. For loyal fans who like what they like, I recommend they pony up to Coffee Pronto if you are in the hood. A working space the size of a postage stamp doesn’t stop the coffee slingers at Pronto from serving it up right. Ah discovery, a place on 15th that can make a cup of coffee. There are no bad attitudes at Pronto, no trite rehashing of last nights scurvy drama, or guff about your drink order. «How do you like your cappuccino?» the man behind the counter asked with a smile. After I collected myself I was able to answer. Not much room to accommodate a hang out stint but there are chairs outside for some people watching and a couple of stools inside. The music on the system was good, TV on the Radio when I was there. Most people are passing through, literally, to get their coffee and head back to work. For on the go, Pronto can’t be beat. Grab a cup and head to the park with a book. Take advantage of a splash of syrup which is included in the price of one’s drink. I say super, A plus, and give me that foamy stuff. P. S. — For anyone that remembers Ruby Montana’s and/or misses it, this place has some similar details.
