This is the neighborhood teri joint I frequent when I need me some comfort food served quickly. I love that I can call Sunny Teriyaki, leave about 10 minutes later, and have my food getting wrapped up when I walk in. I usually get spicy or katsu chicken and walk out having dropped about $ 9 and change. The food is fresh tasting, affordable, and the portions generous. *This is not the Sunny Teriyaki on Leary in Ballard, this is the one in Magnolia half a block west from Fishermans Terminal.

Good teriyaki at a good price. The best part is they are fast and fairly priced. We always order the same thing chicken teriyaki, potstickers, and beef teriyaki.

I would frequent this Teriyaki place when I used to live in the area. My favorite was the spicy teriyaki. Food always came out quick and consistent. Conveniently located next to the convenience store; I would pick up a six pack of tall boys and my order would usually be ready to go by the time I got back. Service was always friendly and I would go once a week.

We are lucky to have so many teriyaki restaurants in Seattle. One of my favorites happens to be in our neighborhood. Sunny teriyaki’s chicken, beef and chicken yakisoba are excellent. My wife will only get yakisoba from this teriyaki restaurant.

It wasn’t really japenese. There was actually more Chinese on the menu than anything and the lady behind the counter was Korean. Regardless of all this, the food was good, just not what we were expecting. We ordered take out with 6 or 7 dishes and ate them at home. The japenese dishes were a bit of a let down, but the fried rice, pot stickers, pork were all pretty good. Certainly a cheap meal. If we lived here we may frequent this restaurant, but probably not again on this trip.

This place was surprising delicious. It was a great quick, cheap place for lunch. The qyoza was amazing but I was slightly disappointed in the tofu teriyaki. I was lucky enough to steal some of the spicy chicken teriyaki from my dining partner. It was very good, tasting a bit like Tabasco sauce, not something I would get normally. Over all I was rather impressed but will be getting some other dish next time.

Some of the best Gyoza in Seattle. My go to order is the beef yakisoba. Very consistent food, always delish!

I love this place! They have brown rice AND the option of getting chicken breast. I love to get half spicy chicken teriyaki w/half regular. DELICIOUS. Always enough for dinner the next day. In fact-I want it right now!

Good Teriyaki. Good service. Since we discovered this place we eat here at least one a week. It’s kind of hidden between a pizza place and a convenience store. I’ve driven right past it a couple of times just because I wasn’t paying attention. I’ve only had the teriyaki, but they have other more basic Americanized Chinese dishes on their menu.

I love this place! Their chicken yakisoba is freaking delicious! I also love the lady at the front counter she’s so sweet and every time I place my order I love speaking with her her. Definitely a little hole in the wall sparkling treasure. I would recommend this to anybody that likes teriyaki.

Ordered tofu teriyaki, and requested just the fried tofu and rice. When I got back to work to eat it, it was a of mushy vegetables and tofu doused in sauce that spilled out all over the bag. I ate the tofu and rice anyways, and now have been having horrible stomach pains for the past 4 hours. I am asian, so I can usually handle all types of food well but I have been laying here writhing in stomach pain. Do not recommend.

Great little standard teriyaki shop. 3.5. If what you want is standard Western Washington Teriyaki. This place is it. They have your chicken with deep char grill marks. Your two scoops of rice and limp lettuce with oddly sweet ranch sauce. If that’s what you are looking for this place has it. Its also clean, mom and pop owners are very pleasant and cute. I would go 4⁄5 stars if they had something unique and amazing. Its just a solid teriyaki joint.

I walked in to get a take-out menu, and ten minutes later I was laden with a large to-go container of teriyaki pork! Besides the fact that it took less time to order and receive my food than it takes to write a facebook status, the portions were enormous and delicious. A whole heap of sticky white rice with a half pound of pork awaited me when I got home, along with a small boxed salad and dressing — all for about $ 8. Even though the sauce was delicious and the rice was perfectly cooked, there wasn’t enough sauce for my liking and the pork was overcooked. At some points it felt like I was chewing jerky. They were probably waiting too long for someone to order pork after they slapped it on the grill. If the meat were tender and less chewy, this place would’ve received five stars. All in all, this place makes fast, large, delicious(although a little overcooked on mine) portions. The menu isn’t huge, which makes it easier to make up your mind, and I’ve made up my mind to make this my go-to place for Asian takeout.

Sunny is great. They do, however, have their own style of presentation and food that might not be the best food that you’ve ever had, but I like it a lot. The food is not fancy, but it is consistent and delicious. This is a great neighborhood place where everyone who works hard around drops in for takeout, quietly eating in by themselves, or charming people dining together. I like how I feel after eating here. A couple scoops of nice white rice, some sauced meat, and a tasty crisp iceberg lettuce and mayo salad. Their staple teriyaki isn’t too sweet. Non-greasy noodles, a few Chinese favorites, and a couple other nice things are on the menu. I liked all of them and I’ve tried most. They’re even open late in case you were trapped under something heavy and forgot to eat dinner.

Cute small Teriyaki shop. Such sweet owners! I came in randomly as I was craving teriyaki and wanted to try a new spot. I parked, and came in. Very small, but so friendly. I came in and ordered the half chicken and half katsu plate. The wait was a tidbit long… I waited about 20 minutes for my food. It wasn’t that long, but it felt long. The plate looked small, but it was a lot of food – half chicken, half katsu, rice, and salad. The only thing that sucks – is that their rice they give you is very small. I wish they gave us more rice. A lot of teriyaki places give you like 2 cups of rice. Nonetheless, the food had me full. I think the katsu was a bit overcooked. Yes, it was a bit dry and very very brown, which indicates it was overcooked. Aside from that, they are truly the sweetest people ever. Super nice service, there is free water with cups, and they clean the dishes as long as you bust your own table :)

This was my last meal during my short 3 day vacation in Seattle. I put gas in my rental and walked over to the Teriyaki joint. My friend suggested this place because it was the better of the two he was thinking about. I trusted his decision and it was a great decision. I was about to hop on a plan in a few hours and if I was going to be stuck in a plane for that long, i want to get some good food in my system for the flight. I ordered the Spicy chicken teriyaki and it was pretty good. It was a little bit on the saltier side but it was okay over all. The spiciness was also not bad. Maybe kick up the spicy and less the salt and you got a winner for me. Chicken was done very well and it was cooked fresh because we waited a bit for it. The chicken was juicy and hot when i got it. I know some places in hawaii already have it cooked under a heat lamp and what they do is grill it very quickly to give it new taste. Two scoops rice and toss salad was very filling too. This will be my go to teriyaki joint when im in the Seattle /Magnolia area.
