This is the Subway inside the HUB. I’m not a big fan of Subway in general, but right now I am taking some evening continuing education classes and occasionally need to grab some food before class. At the HUB, most of the food options are only open for lunch. By dinner time, the places that are still open include Subway, Pagliacci’s pizza, Starbucks, and the general-purpose convenience store. Most of the food options in Starbucks are expensive and I generally want something healthier than pizza, so I’ve gone to the Subway a few times recently. This Subway is usually pretty busy. There’s often a line even after 5 pm, and it always seems to move pretty slowly. However, the popularity of this location also is good in a way because it means the veggies turn over pretty quickly and never seem to have been sitting out for too long. This place is certainly not a destination, but for what it is – a university food court location that’s open for dinner — it’s alright. They also use paper bags now instead of plastic bags(which can be recycled).

For what it’s supposed to be and for the target market and demographic, this is a very well-oiled machine that runs pretty smoothly, even when there’s a new trainee in the assembly line. I’m assuming all the negative and hateful reviews come from the discrepancy in expectations of an independent franchise location compared with how overrun campus food courts can be. Yes, there will be long lines if you show up just as classes let out. My main gripe is the pricing, but that’s how things operate at campus food courts. The custom salad option looks really good and is a good deal but I’ve been hesitant to stray far from the spicy italian option… my arteries may say otherwise.

This location is convenient because it is in the HUB. However, the fact that the line nearly always takes between ten and twenty minutes to get through really cuts back on the convenience factor. The staff have never been particularly friendly, and the food tastes like any other subway. Additionally, their prices are inflated, and they do not honor $ 5 footlong promotions as often as other locations do.

This particular location is usually really slow even if there are only a couple people in line, not friendly(usually the workers who look like they may be students and look like they don’t want to be there), and literally slap together ingredients so all the meat or cheese is on one side, and never enough veggies. And since they are at the HUB they are expensive, and usually have a long wait. Ambiance: not applicable Service: 1.5(it hurts to give such a low score!) Taste: 2 Price: 1.5 1: utter failure 3: standard 5: amazing Overall: 1.5. Bump up to 2 because a couple of the employees who may not be students are always very pleasant and nice.

This place is awful. Truly awful. The ingredients are nasty. The prices are higher than at other Subways. The wait is absurdly long. The staff are rude and unfriendly. There’s literally nothing about this place that makes it any good.

I’ve gone to this Subway twice now. The first time I waited in line for a half an hour while they helped the line ahead of me — which wasn’t that long — and then had to wait even longer when I got my sandwich because the cashier disappeared in the back for another four minutes. I tried again today, hoping that my first experience was a fluke. I waited much less time tonight, but as I got to the cash register the lady came out from the back and licked her fingers before taking the payment of the guy ahead of me. To top it all off, I went to the bathroom after I finished my sandwich and that same lady walked out of a stall and walked straight back to work. Repulsive.
