Great place to chill for an hour while we’re waiting for the Martin Creed exhibit to reopen. Good selection of sandwiches and salads. Nice staff and my son loves his lumberjack breakfast sandwich and cocoa.

I like the convenient location and it’s an excuse to go into Henry Art Gallery. I like the«last call» when all the baked goods/food is half priced. That’s when I buy their big cookies. They always have the sign for macadamia white latte in the front of the gallery so I tried that and yes it was pretty tasty. But man, for that price… D: It’s more outrageous than HFS lol

Good chicken curry sammich, almost good chicken pesto sammich with a hard to remember fancy name. I love their pricey granola bars. 26 $ including tip for 2 sammiches and 2 bars, decide for yourselves. Didn’t have the heart to try coffee, knowing a snob I’m becoming. Wish the ambience was less stoic, and environment more chatty and casual. They do have an outdoor court. Will come back on a sunnier day.

I feel like I found a unicorn. Yes, a unicorn. A cozy, quiet, clean café with great food and great coffee– AND no crowds of students? Molly’s just meets all my personal criteria of a good café. You’d never know this place existed if you didn’t go inside the Henry Art Gallery on the front of UW campus or if you rush past their cute little green hand painted sign inviting you in for a warm lavender mocha. I once ran in here desperate for something to eat and something to be open on a Saturday morning after the gym– I was in awe of the space and promised myself I’d be back to enjoy it. FOOD: I got here on a rainy Saturday morning when they opened and the BEST: part pastries, sandwiches, salads are TWOBUCKS — because I guess they try to get rid of their leftovers before Monday? Drinks are made with Stumptown coffee awesomeness. Great extensive menu — lots of healthy, vegetarian options(kale & yam wrap!) Sadly, lots of things were crossed off the menu by Saturday. I got the«Start Up» — food is prepackaged and not made in-house, but I still got a toasty, warm yummy egg sandwich — not what I expected though from the description(the egg, onion, greens, tomatoes were all cooked together into a neat little egg«square» between whole wheat English muffin). Soy lavender mocha: not on the menu, but it was delicious, light and sweet. Pretty foam art too. This place is technically«on campus» but it doesn’t feel like I’m eat campus food. ATMOSPHERE: I was the only person there in the morning and a saw a steady stream of hungry museum goers and students go in and out, before closing around 1pm it was livelier and noisier. Even though this place is on ground floor and it was a rainy day– it did not feel gloomy, they had great lighting and spot lights in a decent size space and solid, clean wood tables all around but not too close to each other. Also on a sunny day, the café connects to a enclosed court yard with more tables and chairs facing 15th Ave. I really enjoyed my few hours here– it’s a great place to get some work done. Music was playing but not too loudly, just enough to feel like you weren’t lonely. Ideal things to do here: read a book, do work, chat with a friend over coffee, cross word puzzles, sketch, eat lunch after looking at art. SERVICE: great service, I feel a little bad for the lonely baristas who work here by themselves on weekends but they are always nice, will explain the menu to you and bring you your order. I will definitely be back.
