good go-to spot if you have a good sized group in need of seats and tasty beverages.

This review is for our wedding cocktail hour in November. We held our ceremony and reception next door at Melrose Market Studio and were suggested by the venue that we contract with Still Liquor next-door to hold our cocktail hour during the switch. Mariah was so easy to work with from questions about how it would work to signing the contract and finalizing the details. She made it one of the easiest pieces of our wedding to solidify and plan. The drinks were delicious and the value of the cocktail hour for the price of having the place to ourselves(tokens included for all guests on arrival) was great. Keep in mind this is a 21 and over bar so if you have kids at your wedding they cannot go next door! All of our guests had a great time and it made for a smooth and simple transition for our wedding party. We had about 150 guests total and there was plenty of seating and standing room for all in the bar. Everyone we talked to loved the space and enjoyed the experience! I’m really glad this experience was a part of our reception!

This place is unpredictable. I’ve been here on many quiet week nights to a holiday Halloween show to a few random weekend nights with djs and dance music. The crowds vary I guess depending on what’s going on. Drinks are nice. Staff is nice. Service seems nice and fast.

Cool place that serves good drinks and has a nice chill ambiance. I enjoy their moscow mules here– served in their traditional copper mugs. This place gets pretty loud though, and on popular nights, pretty crowded. There’s only a few booths and some tables and chairs so I would consider this place as part of a bar hop kind of night instead of staying there the whole time.

Great happy hour here, came on our way walking to downtown. Even though there was a private event going on, they let us in and promptly took our drink order. Drinks were tasty and stiff!

Last night(Saturday) I came to this bar for the first time. and it’s definitely going to be the last time. First bar of the night, my friends and I came in and we really loved the ambience and the music. However, the lady bartender with long dark hair ruined our experience. She was totally rude and talked to us as if we were stupid. I have never in my life experienced a bad customer service before so I was a bit surprised. Seriously, at least show that you care. If you hate your job, it’s not our problem. You chose to work there. Have pride in what you do. If you don’t like to deal with drunk people or hate to be in the loud crowd, you can always do 9 – 5 office job, you know? As you can see there are several Unilocal reviews on her, so it seems like she has been working here for a while. if any of you guys ever want to experience her rude and terrible service, I highly recommend you to come here!

There was a female bartender working the evening of August 15th Saturday and she was was extremely rude. I have never received such service. I felt so degraded and disrespected and I was a customer. I work in the service industry and I experienced an absolutely unacceptable customer service. This bar lost my business because of her.
This bar has a lot of potential, and over all, it’s pretty good. Nice vibe – as rustic as things can apparently get in Seattle, which is not rustic at all, but merely evocative of what Seattle people would imagine for a rustic interior. Like unpainted wood and whatnot. Other reviews criticize the dark-haired lady bartender – and she is, let us say, not the warmest of characters. Now I appreciate this, because I am not the warmest of characters, but I can see that some might expect those in the service industry to have a different temperament. Allow me to illustrate by explaining a true(and I hope constructive) criticism of this place as a bar. It has unbelievably bad ice. I realize that to point this out makes me sound like a dick. But good ice(big dense chunks that melt slowly; I realize many writers swoon over clarity, but I don’t really care because it doesn’t affect the quality of the drink itself) is essential to cocktails and spirits. Cheap little shards of barely-frozen water can severely diminish the experience of drinking a cocktail, or sipping a fine whiskey. I go into this digression not only to point out that Still Liquor has the worst ice imaginable, but to highlight the reaction of the staff(specifically, the aforementioned dark-haired lady bartender). She appeared to take personal offense at my bringing this up, ignored me for a while, and was generally being passive aggressive after she heard my comment. Maybe I didn’t make my criticism with enough delicacy. Not being a native to these parts, I am accustomed to sometimes sharp banter with bartenders, where there’s an assumption that things are good-natured. Her reaction was not to perry and joust(like, perhaps, «well here our philosophy of cocktails is that the ice should melt more quickly, and we modulate our recipe for that,» which would have been wrong, but interesting!), but to simply shut down. So, being the nice guy I am, I finally flag her down to apologize for what might have been indelicate phrasing, without retracting the substance. She came around, or at least better concealed her displeasure, and I left a good tip. I don’t think she gave two shits about the ice. All of this is to say that, though Still Liquor has a good atmosphere and an extensive menu, lots of good drink specials, there’s room for improvement. I daresay a staff trip to New Orleans would be edifying. At the very least, please – for the love of everything holy – let’s do something about the ice.

Went here tonight. Decent drinks, but wow — pretty intensely negative energy from the young, female bartender with long dark-ish hair and glasses. No greeting, cold stares, and made our trio of women feel definitely unwelcome and awkward. When she mixed up our tabs and charged me the wrong amount, we got an over-the-shoulder smirk and that was about it. Why is she working as a bartender when she gives off that kind of vibe? Anyway, it left an impression, and we won’t be going back there again.

A few weeks ago, me and few friends stopped by on weekday night to grab a night cap. The red hair bartender was not polite and gave bad service. Overall we felt unwelcome and a hassle. Atmosphere was nice but service is lacking.(Take note of how many other reviews mention the rude/stand-offish/cold service)

I would have to agree with Kellem, the service I have received this evening was cocky and cold. Every bartender was short with us and couldn’t be bothered to engage. In customer service the customer pays your rent. So it’s YOUR choice how much you want them to put down after the interaction. That being said, I will say my drink was incredible. I recommend the Minor Mule which is a refreshing take on the Moscow Mule. The bartenders are fluid and skilled with their concoctions and it’s neat to witness.(However, when I complimented the bartender on her artistic creation of my beverage she barely acknowledged me.) The laid back vibe combined with industrial chic interior design with elements of cement and wood interior design. The music(DJ Bamboo) is very party conducive – a mic of pop hits and funky beats. It seems like everyone is having a good time and I’m sure you will too if you’re able to forget about the condescending taste in your drink.

Very lowkey, hidden away on a side street near Terra Plata on Cap Hill. DJ was spinnin the cuts, my fave: slow jamz/r&b/throwbacks so that definitely set the tone. 4 stars for the rare music selection. Older crowd, I felt young which is nice sometimes haha. It was pretty busy on a Friday night but not rowdy. Servers were attentive, no fighting for service. Relaxing ambiance with the low lighting, minimalistic concrete design, and open floor plan. And I’m always one for clean/spacious bathrooms, so two thumbs up there. Not the place to get ratchet, pound shots, and throw up. However, great bar to grab drinks and catch up with friends.

This bar is part of my monthly Machiavelli routine. Friday night, get name on list at the restaurant then we hit Still for an hour or so. Mariah, the sweet cute bartender, has been serving me the now off menu New Lion for 3+ years. Place is modern without being sterile, has some interesting drinks and is kinda one of my fav spots in the city. Enjoy!

Nice ambience. Nice drinks. Unfriendly, disinterested and«superior» bartenders. All unwelcome qualities. I have been twice and the theme is the same. Everything is great accept for the bartenders who are horrid. It’s unfortunate. I am a forgiving person and have been to hundreds of bars(that’s a little worrisome to be honest) and the treatment here by the staff is the worst I’ve ever seen. I hate feeling like it’s privilege for me to be served. I call it like it see it.

My memory towards the end of the night was a bit fuzzy, but here’s what I remember: solid drinks, no food, and overall, a nice, chill space. While it does get a bit lively later in the evening, for a Saturday night, the place was surprisingly, and pleasantly chill. None of us ever found ourselves having to yell in order to be heard, which is always a plus. As an additional plus, if you’re looking to throw a group get together, Still Liquor is a pretty solid option — well, parking unavailability aside. But you can make reservations for large groups, and they neither charge a booking fee nor require a minimum drink order. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue — The place is pretty spacious, with bar seating and bar height tables on one side, and some normal height tables along the other. It never got super crowded, so getting around isn’t terribly difficult either. Bathroom — Large, spacious, and accessible.

The staff is very attractive and friendly, and the venue is very modern and clean. When I asked for a drink that they did not know of, they quickly looked it up and made it perfectly for me without help. Love it! However, the venue is very empty and bland. No art on the walls, simple design, lots of open floor space for a bar with quiet music. It was so open that I felt watched the entire time. Finally, I did not see any food menu, not even snacks or peanuts. Not asking for much here, just something to nibble on. Please provide.

«wild» girls night out. I came here on a Monday night so it was def on the slower side. I did, however, really enjoy it! It’s super laid back, it isn’t all fancy schmancy, and the bartender was really nice. My vodka soda was on point and my friend enjoyed her whiskey. Def a place to hit up for cocktails!

I really like this space. It’s the right size… medium but feels cozy and its swanky yet rustic. I also agree with Marissa’s review that its swanky but not pretentious. It’s a good place to come with a group of friends. It’s not super crowded or empty and the noise level is just right. It’s nice and loungey! You can comfortably stake out an area and just hang out and chill with your friends. The bartender was nice and even the line for the bathroom wasn’t too long. So I guess all in all, I’m saying Still Liquor strikes the right balance for just about everything!
