Starbucks

Never thought I’d be a Unilocaler to rate a Starbucks even if I go to so many different locations and drink coffee ⁵⁄₇ days a week. But this experience was rather different for me this time and I wanted the staff’s attention. As expected, a Starbucks near the freeway is often times packed especially in the morning. And that’s what Sunday 9am brought, a crowd of 8 customers in line for their morning cup of coffee. There was 1 barista making the coffee and a cashier at first and after a few minutes, another employee showed up to help with the line after a customer had lost patience and left. My sister and I managed to stay and get our triple espresso plus 2 bags of dark roasted coffee to give as gifts for our aunt and uncle living in Kelso, WA. We asked for grounded and the cashier suggested what was best for the type of coffee maker we stated. Fast forward 2.5 hours later in Kelso, we made our family a whole pot of the new Caffe Verona coffee but wasn’t able to drink it due to it being a powder-​fine… It was kind of a disappointment coming from baristas that should be knowledgable with their coffee. Whether it was in the machine for too long and the coffee grind turned out to be a powder consistency or… I don’t know. This is the second time I’ve been to this Starbucks to buy bags of coffee and baristas were not much help. Oh well. I figure I’ll just do my own research and directly specify next time.

Previously I gave this Starbucks 2 stars because Michelle always remembers and treats me with respect. I have to lower my review to 1 star today, because I consistently leave this location with anger and resentment in my heart. If I’m going to drop upwards of $ 7 for sub-​par food and coffee, at least get my order right the first time, or worst case scenario — fix it with a smile and don’t make me feel like I’m an ass for calling out your mistakes. Also — whoever stocks this location should be fired. They are ALWAYS out of one thing or another.

One would think you could receive the same level of service across the board at Starbucks. Sadly, not the case. The barista at the register seemed new and flustered, though she was perfectly nice. I ordered a beverage and pastry. There must have been a large order before me, because my drink took longer than usual to make which is fine. However, I ordered a simply pastry and 10 minutes later, I still didn’t have it. I gently reminded the barista who rang me up about it, and she seemed like she remembered, however there was someone at the warming oven also helping with another larger order. When I said I didn’t need it warmed up, the manager asked what I was waiting for, rolled her eyes and put my item in a bag and handed it to me with quite a bit of attitude. Won’t be stopping here again…

Makes me mad… they never have citrus green tea latte anymore, other stores have it. Well then I ordered green tea latte. It ended up that a whole bunch of tea mixed with balck. It has a super strong coffee taste in it. What’s wrong with my traditional sweet green tea latte…

Usually the service here is really good but a worker here named, Mirna, never has a friendly vibe and she always gives me my drinks with an attitude and she can never remember what I ordered so when she calls out the drink it’s a mumble. I’m displeased with her service.

Very poor service. How do you not have any drip coffee brewed. Then tell me you are to busy to brew some. There are only 3 people in line. Never again!

Goodness! One of my fave locations ever! Not only is it down the street from my house but I love running into the barista Aura! She is who you call a REAL barista.
I filled with joy when she marked me as a regular and remembered my drink! For any coffee lovers, that is a grand perk! To have your coffee made by the time it’s your turn to have your order be taken and pay? Or when you get up the order, you don’t even need to peep a word? Yes, yes, yes. Makes my coffee perfect as well not to mention.
I come to Starbucks because I need my coffee now and I’m just trying to get in and out.
I come to this location in hopes that I run into Aura, but not to mention… The other staff is also awesome, but Aura is by far my favorite. If this girl has not gotten a promotion or raise… Well, she needs too! Because everyone should be just as fast and efficient as she is!

Music is too loud for such a small store, but the Baristas’ are nice. Lots of foot traffic from the neighboring businesses… FedEx, Georgetown Licenses, etc. Josh seems like a cool mgr ;)

Um Starbucks is always amazing. Expensive but amazing. Every cup made personally to your liking. I prefer just a simple Chai tea from Oprah’s line with some packets of raw sugar. Or a simple vanilla late or iced hazelnut coffee. Yum.
Can’t beat that coffee craving.

I hate this Starbucks. The service is always bad and my coffee is never made right. They always pull the shots and then steam my soy milk. Not a fan, prefer the one on East Marginal

Starbucks is starbucks what can I say. I know a lot of people say they don’t care for it, but I like the taste. I always order their white chocolate mocha with soy. I love they are conveniently located everywhere basically and offer tea and foods as well. Price is not the greatest, but very convenient. I like that they have a rewards program.

Starbucks is Starbucks, of course. I stop at this one on my way to work in the morning and the staff is always cheerful and happily remember me. Parking lot can get a bit jammed up during busy times, but I always manage to get through it with relative ease. Always quick service at this tiny location keeps the inside from getting too crowded.

There are a plethora of Starbucks in Seattle, but this one is conveniently located off Michigan Ave in Georgetown! I swear there are NO other Starbucks around, so this place can get kind of packed. I like to swing by around lunchtime, when it’s a little less crowded. The service is always superb, but it is a very small place, so make sure you get in and out quickly!

Lots of people are in here throughout the day (especially the morning) since it’s right in the middle of a huge business district, so wait times for your coffee can be silly. I just come in here if I’ve forgot to pack a morning snack, as Starbucks really stepped up their game with takeaway box snacks. Still pretty pricey for what you get, but you’re paying for convenience.

Ok so I am such a cheater! I love me some All City Coffee in Georgetown (fingers crossed they don’t see I go here too).
Any time I’m headed to I-​5 north I pop in to this Starbucks because no matter how long the line the wait is always short and the drinks are always consistent. This location makes any tie spent in Seattle traffic slightly more bearable.

This is my go to coffee stop in the morning. Right next to work and the on ramp to I-​5 N and S. The staff is always friendly and super speedy. The place is small with limited seats, more of a grab a cup on the way stop. No drive through, but plenty of parking in the morning before the rest of the strip mall opens up.
FYI– I am not the Chet being referred to in the review below. I do not work for Starbucks. Weird, I have never seen a guy named Chet at this location…

«Crack in a cup», that is what I call it. A quad espesso over ice is my drink of choice. It does not matter if it is day or night, I can drink this anytime!
A nice choice of snacks or breakfast sandwiches is really nice, especially when you are running behind to work. The peeps at this location are very friendly, and it is a nice change to actually venture into a Starbucks and not get ignored, or have to wait an extremely long time just for your drink.

Staff are great– the space is much smaller than I expected somehow, but they have breakfast sandwiches as well as all the other food and drinks normally available.
No Clover machine though.
Bummer.

this is our neighborhood Starbucks and I used to love it. Then one weekend we encountered one of their staff, Chet. They had some buttons on the counter that were for a promo. My wife had gotten one earlier that week and thought they were for free, so she took another to give to me.
Chet then proceeded to YELL at my wife across the store and berate her. It was awful. She made an honest mistake and he embarrassed her in front of all the other customers.
We returned a few days later and talked to the manager, who has always been really great to us and has a kid about the same age as ours. She was apologetic and said Chet had been spoken with, but that was IT. I really expected her to offer us a coffee card or something for being humiliated in public by her staff. All she did was present it as a He Said She Said situation. It wasn’t. First off, Chet yelled at us, which is inappropriate in any situation. Secondly, the customer is always right, and although we were absolutely not in the wrong, even if we were, amends should have been made.
We haven’t been back since. I can’t even bring myself to walk into the store. Chet and the manager’s lack of empathy or willingness to make it up to us have lost this Starbucks some loyal customers.
One big GIANT boo.

THIS IS MY STARBUCKS GOSH DARNIT AND I DON’T CARE HOW MUCH OF A SNOB I AM AT OTHER TIMES. I love this place, I don’t even like starbucks coffee, but the crew here is so rad. I work right across the parking lot. They know all of us by name and what we drink and what time we come in. They are so super friendly and we crack all kinds of jokes. I LOVE THIS STARBUCKS MAN!!!
