Waaaaaay too over price for mediocre food and extremely slow service. The price is most likely jacked up because it is right next to Pike’s place. Typical tourist spot. On top of the over priced menu, they have a mandatory 20% service charge(did I mention the service was SUPER slow?). If they do that to make sure their servers get paid, then how about just raise their base salary instead? Our«lunch» of one appetizer, one entre, two beers, 2 oysters came out to a total around $ 80 !! o.0 like… WUT? The wait for the place was 30 minutes… NOTWORTH! I would have given this place one star, but the cider that I ordered(Schilling Hard Cider) was pretty darn good, so one pity star. Don’t go here. Save your time and money and buy some fresh seafood from the market instead.

Killer spot towards the end of the over crowded Pike Place scene. Great food and booze served by awesomely friendly people. If you can’t have fun hanging out with Gretchen then you just can’t have fun! Crab BLT is awesome.

Great view to watch the people enjoying Pikes Market. The food was also tasty and inventive! I had a great chef’s salad with beets(not your typical Chefs salad) beverage list was also great with local wines and beers. Our server was nice and recommended some great items. But when flagging down one of the other staff for another napkin set we did get some awkward attitude. I would return though for the view and food! They also built in 20% service fee without mentioning it(strange for a party of 3).

We are here 3 times in a week while we were visiting Seattle. We had the pot pies, beef ribs, salmon, and eggs benedict, and salmon burger. We LOVED them all! I would vote this place as the best restaurant in Seattle!

This was right next to Pikes Place restaurant, thought it would be a nice place to eat. Wrong! Try to eat somewhere else if possible. There is a mandatory service charge of 20%, no matter your party size.(We had a party of 4) Now that already rubbed us the wrong way, and it really seemed that because our server knew he was getting the tip, he had no incentive to help us. Our food was just okay, portions were a little too big. May have explained the kind of high prices. Our server was not kind and seemed to be rushing to get away from us, mind you they weren’t that busy at all. Our soup was forgotten and our server never came back to check on us, not once! When we finally flagged someone down to check on our soup, she said she would see what happened to it, and then didn’t tell anyone. I literally had to hold my hand in the air to get my server to come over and give our check. When we told him about our missing soup, no apology was given. The 20% service charge is a complete rip, especially for such horrible service. Don’t eat here!

Service was great, the waitress was super friendly. The atmosphere was wonderful as well. When all other breakfast places had lines out the door, we came here and were served right away. We ordered the eggs Benedict(split it between two) and coffee, and the bill ended up being $ 31. They were nice enough to split the plate of food without asking into two plates. The food was pretty good, not amazing. The hash browns were a little cold as well, and kinda bland. Would consider coming back if I’m willing to pay a little more.

Really enjoyed a quick breakfast here on Memorial Day Weekend. We just walked up around 10:30 and did not have to wait at all. Got a nice spot outside in the sun and they had heat lamps on which was nice since it was a bit chilly. We both got the breakfast sandwiches. I had mine with the pork sausage and it was so so good! Great flavor. My boyfirnd had the crab and liked it as well. I was a little bummed that the bread wasn’t some sort of delicious biscuit(Um, hello, serious biscuits!), but it was still very good. The potatoes/hash browns that came on the side were pretty bland and boring. I suggest asking for some hot sauce. Our meals came out quick and hot!

Nice day to enjoy sitting outside and people watch. Mandated 20% service charge. Out of chicken today. Out of liquor as well apparently. This is a great place to enjoy outside dining in Seattle even for a local. However the beginning to wear on me. Been coming here since they opened. Hit or miss for service each and every time now. Used to be always a 5 star experience.

My experience at Seatown Seabar and Rotisserie comes down to four words; Dungeness crab breakfast sandwich. If you haven’t had one yet, you’re doing your mouth a serious disservice. I’ve had crab breakfast sandwiches before, but what sets this one apart is the crab itself. Big chunks of leg meat, not the shredded crab body meat filler so often found in lesser sandwiches. Despite the other ingredients, the crab is real star and you taste it from your very first bite. All the ancillary ingredients are delicious in their own right too. However, their real contribution is augmenting that wonderful crab taste and texture. Is it expensive(as sandwiches go)? Yes, close to $ 25 after tax and tip. Is it decadent? Yes, the crab, Beecher’s Flagship cheese, avocado and fresh bread make for a rich blend. Is it worth it? Damn right.

Mid-afternoon late lunch/early dinner experience. Were seated nearly as soon as we walked in the door. It is on the edge of Pike Place Market so the people watching is phenomenal. We wanted to sit inside but I noticed that they had blankets for people who sit outside. Nice touch. Ordered house bread, king crab, crab cocktail, Caesar salad, and chowder to split. The food was simple and straightforward– perfectly prepared. King crab — wow! Sweet meat — cut so that you can easily crack open and enjoy! Crab cocktail — generous portion complimented with a well seasoned cocktail sauce– on a bed of cabbage(I think it was cabbage?) and some light bread. House bread — yummy — if you order the caesar — it comes with bread so this was a little bread overload for us. Still worth it. Caesar salad — right amount of dressing… I usually like it much little but needed to find the happy medium when sharing. The garlic bread that accompanied this — wow. Bread that could stand up to the butter and garlic goodness on top. And then… the chowder. This had a complex flavor. Hands down — definitely in the top 3 best chowder I have ever eaten(I have traveled up and down hwy 101 and have tried chowder many many places). Slight smokiness– bacon — right amount of clams — potatoes. So good! Was on a crab mission — no oysters on this trip. It was certainly a Seattle experience– laid back, friendly service that was laid back, exceptional seafood, and an opportunity to just enjoy a sweet afternoon.

We read the reviews about this place and everyone had such good things to say about their breakfast. We wanted to sit outside, so we thought it was really cool when they puffed us blankets and sat us under a heater. Now for the food. He had a crab BLT and felt it was mediocre at best. I ordered the halibut with all the special sauces on the side in the event I didn’t care for one. My halibut came, and was sitting on a bed of carrots in a green soupy sauce. The fish was cooked beautifully with a little bit of crisp on the outside, but I did not feel anything else on the plate complimented it at all. I ended up putting my fish on a different plate just to get it out of the green soup. We also ordered a Caesar salad with garlic bread and an order of bread on the side to share. Neither one was anything to brag about. Our Caesar salad also came with crab, which we did NOT order. I had also ordered a side of King crab legs but decided to cancel since they had put crab on our salad that we did not order. The service was slow, and from what was delivered to the table, the server wasn’t really paying attention to what we had ordered. I mentioned to the waitress that my fish dish was not that good. She left and came back and offered me a free dessert. I politely declined. The BF paid the bill before coming back to the table and said they covered my dish. I try not to ask questions about dinners he pays for, but I had a feeling… We got back to our car and realized they charged us for the king crab legs we had cancelled and for the crab on the salad we never ordered. I walked all the way back to the restaurant and Alex why we had been charged for the items. Her response was we were not charged for the king crab legs and as far as the crab on the salad… that’s what she heard. Omg. I showed her the receipt. She apologized and took it to someone else who took the king crab legs off, but left the salad crab on. I wasn’t in any mood to argue. *Please note, they include gratuity in the bill.

I ate here recently with a large group. Personally, I had a great experience but some others at the table were not too pleased because they waited a loooong time for mixed drinks. I was drinking wine which was served fast. The wine was delicious and came in a carafe serving which is the best idea ever! I also had a vegetarian meal was very good.

Yikes! The food is decent, but the service is horrible. I am stunned and sad to be giving a Tom Douglas spot 2 stars. I met a friend here during SRW for lunch, and it’s taken me a few weeks to write this trying to wrap my mind around the disappointment. We were promptly seated, there were a few other tables with people, but they were definitely not busy. The place is cute and low key, a great place to grab a drink and a snack, things were shaping up to be pretty awesome. They have a decent assortment of beers and ciders as well as cocktails. Everything started off fine, a bit slow, but fine. We started with some oysters, which were the highlight. Then, because it was SRW, I had leek soup with salmon, which was a lovely way to start. Then I moved on to a version of a roast beef sandwich, which on the menu said it came with fries, but was served with a very overdressed salad. I wouldn’t have eaten more than a few of the fries, so I opted to just keep the sad mess. The sandwich was ok, but nothing exciting. When my friend’s entrée was delivered, the waitress had typed in the wrong item, so she sent it back. I ate slowly, trying to wait for her food to arrive, even giving her half of mine so she didn’t have to just sit and watch me eat. At least 20 minutes went by, and her entrée arrived. Not really a great lunch and catch up experience, but fine. Then it was time to ask for the bill, I had to get back to work and we had already been there over an hour. Our server was busy behind the bar, but once I got her attention to bring the check, I told her I needed to get back to work and asked for the check. She brought it over and told my friend that she’d comped one of her two ciders for the miscue with the entrée, which was appreciated. After bringing the check, she then disappeared for 15 – 20 minutes, making me even later back to work. I 100% believe that our server felt that she didn’t need to try to provide quality(or even good) service because her tip was guaranteed. I also 100% believe that servers should be paid a living wage. It’s really hard to try to balance these two beliefs here, as I’ve been to other restaurants that have initiated a surcharge rather than tipping and didn’t get that feeling. Bottom Line: I’m incredibly disappointed and won’t recommend this place.

I took my better half here for a late Valentine’s Day dinner(I’ve been traveling a lot). I made a reservation, requesting a table with a view. I’d also arranged for flowers to be delivered. When we arrived, we were seated at a nice table by the window, with the flowers sitting on it. While the pace of service seemed just a tad slow, our waitress was very congenial and accommodating. We had the steamed mussels & clams for an appetizer. The broth wasn’t bad, but could have used a bit more butter. For dinner, I had the tri-tip steak and the girlfriend had Dungeness crab. My steak was cooked perfectly and the accompanying mashed potatoes and grilled broccoli were excellent. The reviews from the other side of the table consisted of dripping butter, lip smacking and finger licking. I’m quite sure she enjoyed the crab. Overall, an enjoyable dinner.

Tom Douglas is the king of food. I got the crab eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns and I feel sorry for anyone that thought the fruit was a better choice because those hash browns were fantastic. They have a nice golden brown color with some sort of crumbly delicious crunchiness on the top. I also had a couple bites of the crab breakfast sandwich which was fantastic. That beechers cheese mixed with crab and over hard is brilliant. Could have been the best dish on the table. My friend got the hashed beef and it looked pretty tasty as well. It was like a crostini with beef and egg. My other friend got the crab blt and that looked great but the side salad looked very simple. Overall this could be my favorite Tom Douglas restaurant so far and I have been to almost all of them so far.

Review is for brunch. This is our first time eating at a Tom Douglas restaurant! The restaurant has a bit of a sports-bar atmosphere, and offers nice big booths that accommodated our party of six easily. We even sat next to their famous walrus with a Santa hat(Its scary and adorable at the same time!) Everyone enjoyed their breakfast entrees — so 5 stars for sure! Service was great and the food came out fast. * The Octopus Crostini was an excellent appetizer and ideal for sharing. The octopus was chilled, super-tender, and seasoned with smoked paprika. You can eat it directly or layer it on the crostini along with the shredded kale and berries and get more flavor pop along with texture contrast! * Chicken and Biscuits was rich, and a nice variant of the Southern dish. It had a nice balance of gravy, tender rotisserie chicken, and biscuits. * Several in my party, including the wife, got the fried egg sandwich with cheese, avocado, and Dungeness crab — a masterpiece! It had generous portions of sweet crab meat and the other elements were all good, including the fluffy bread. To top it off, the hash browns were amazing as well — seared on one side with a crust. I borrowed some of my dad’s Habanero ketchup to add some more kick to the hash browns. Would definitely recommend for brunch. I’ll definitely want to try other Tom Douglas restaurants.

I’ve dined here several times for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed my food each time. Somehow we’ve gotten lucky and been able to get a table without a wait. The restaurant isn’t very large so the tables also allow for people watching while enjoying their delicious food. The food really shines in part because they use very fresh, local foods. This restaurant really knows how to play on these fresh ingredients to maximize the taste. The Crab BLT’s bacon and tomatoes perfectly compliment the fresh crab to make this a very tasty sandwich. Again, the freshness of everything is evident. The Fried Egg Sandwich is buttery, cheesy, and fresh. Something so simple yet so full of flavor. This comes with a little cup of fruit that includes quince. Even the fruit side is fresher and better than the usual brunch offering. The Potato Leek soup is perfectly creamy and rich. Very delicious. I hope on a future visit I’ll be able to make it back for dinner. I’m sure that dinner is just as amazing as brunch.

I knew this was a touristy, overpriced place before we sat down. We were short on time, and didn’t want to get caught up in walking around. Service was really slow. I ordered a Caesar salad. It was a plate of basically a head of uncut romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese sprinkled on it, and very little dressing drizzled across the lettuce. This was a $ 13 salad. Seriously? Maybe I’m weird, but I hate cutting up my salad, so this was just ridiculous. There wasn’t much dressing on the salad, and it was pretty bland. The only part of the salad that was good were the pieces of cheese bread that came with it. I get that prices are high in Seattle, especially right by Pike Market, but come on. That was just ridiculous.

I think the food is okay. The location is touristy and the prices are in your typical entrée-range($ 20 – 30), but the portions are giant(to me at least). My friend ordered one of the chicken entrees, and it looked delicious. I opted for the lamb pot pie, although I feel a bit regretful not getting the chicken pot pie. Wasn’t impressed. It had come cold. The top of the bread was lukewarm and the first layer of lamb meat was straight up cold. Like they just nuked it in the microwave for a minute and let it sit there.(Also the lamb was not typically southern and creamy. Perhaps the chicken is different). Would be 4 stars, as I think the other entrees have potential, especially seafood and the soup, but they lose a star for taking their time. Our waitress was kind and all, and if it’s during a dinner rush, our food is taking a bit, I can understand. But not when we asked for our checks and she decides to serve two other tables their drinks for the next 15 mins before coming over to give us the books when the checks are already in her pouch while she’s walking around. And then waiting another 10 for her to collect it, even though we both pulled out credit cards. And then waiting another 10 to get it back to us. If this restaurant acted a little faster, it’d be 4 stars. The bar however, is a good 4.5 I think, albeit paying $ 8 for tap may be a little extravagant. I may come back if if’s just for a cocktail.
