Bar itself was alright… dude at the door was an a**hole. Who needs a rude employee at the door anyway with 3 people total in the bar? Better bars in the area.

Best dive bar in Seattle! Cash only bar with awesome vibe. I’m from Vancouver and this pass has always been a favorite.

Cheap bar with cheap drinks and a pool table with a pitch worse then some holes at St. Andrews. If you love cheap PBRs(and Rainiers) and want a place to hang with some friends in a place that will always make you feel better about yourself(via reality comparisons), this is a decent enough stop. Not the friendliest of staffs, nor the cleanest of places but I’ve been to worse.

Great little dive bar! Alcohol is very cheap compared to a lot of other places. Bartender was super friendly and not shy with the pours, always a plus! Nothing fancy and they have a dart board. Plus a small patio. We were on the patio enjoying a drink. Just wish they had some music outside.

This is a very comfortable bar that has many friendly young patrons and is run on Friday nights by the sweetest bartender on the planet named Marsha. She’ll take excellent care of you and makes excellent cocktails at a reasonable FAIR price. Introverts will really enjoy this place as will people who do not prefer loud bars.

Here’s what you gotta know about this place. 1. It’s cheap 2. It’s surprisingly clean for a dive bar 3. There’s darts 4. There’s a jukebox. Maybe my standards are off, but I was expecting much worse from a dive bar! I was honestly surprised by how clean it was, and the drinks were super cheap too! There’s a dart board on the side which *costs money*, but honestly you can just play without paying and no one really cares, There’s also a jukebox which is kinda cool. There’s also a pool table too! I really enjoyed this place. Lots of activities and games for those that seek it, drinks are cheap, and(for me at least) it was surprisingly clean! Would definitely come back again.

Casual, friendly staff and friendly people. Prices are great. Been here 3 times so far on our 5 day trip. I will definitely return and recommend it to all my friends. Staff are great. Drinks are great!

Great Bar! We stayed at the Moore Hotel right next to the bar. So we went down to the bar every evening. The beer is good and pretty cheap. You can sit outside which is very nice if you are there on hot summer nights. I really liked it.

I LOVETHISBAR! Stopped in on a hot Sunday afternoon during a recent stopover in Seattle and ended up spending most of the evening here, drinking beer and watching the NBA playoffs. Loved Marsha, the opinionated(in a good way) bartender and the interesting stream of regulars who stopped in for PBR and Rainier tall boys. No Seattle«chill» here except for the super cool A/C. Never heard the jukebox, but I’m sure there would have been an awesome and eclectic mix. A Cash-Only policy and special top-secret douche repellant is a wonderful thing. Can’t wait to come back on my next visit to Seattle. Just hope gentrification doesn’t take its toll. It’s a good thing I don’t live nearby, or I have the feeling that my health would be in danger!

After having a wonderful late dinner at a nearby restaurant, the hub and decided to find a place for a nightcap, so Nitelite Lounge it was. There is absolutely nothing«loungy» about the Nitelite — it is dive, dive, dive! For any of you familiar with my reviews, you know I have a special admiration for good dive bars — I seek them out no matter where I’m at(and if you’ve never read a letter I’ve typed before, now you do). Most times, the«divier» the better, but Nitelite added a whole new dimension to my criterion for a true dive… and sadly, not in a good way. I appreciated the«vintage» décor, stone walls, a fireplace, old mirrors with smoke stains from the past… right up until the point something on the tattered and torn bar edge gave me a little cut on my hand(tetanus, anyone?). :/Sometimes there’s cool, classic, and unique. Other times, there’s just old, falling apart, seriously in need of just a little TLC… and I won’t even comment on the ladies room. Maybe it wasn’t crowded enough and/or I wasn’t buzzed enough the night I went to notice the appeal some other people have written about. The drinks were strong and SUPER cheap(earning it an extra star), but the barkeep had about as much personality as a tick on a cow’s ass. Not that I expect be entertained, but maybe a little friendliness could have gone a long way. I wouldn’t say it’s the worst«dive» I’ve ever been to; however, after several nights of hitting the Seattle circuit, there are just WAY too many other awesome places in the Emerald City to dive into! Sorry, but for me, Nitelite was more trash than splash. :(Really…meh…unless you’re just in it for a cheap night of drunken debauchery… then maybe… just maybe after 3 or 4, or 6… it’s A-OK. Visitor or local, I would probably skip it. **Cash only. ATM on-site. Also has digital jukebox, pool table, and darts.

My favorite stop when I go to a show at The Moore theater. Cheap, strong drinks. Electric Iced Tea. Nothing more to say really.

Started out great until my girlfriend’s handbag with our passports got stolen there last night. Staff wasn’t particularly helpful. Would appreciate if the person who stole the handbag and reads this, returns the passports. You can keep the rest, just want the passports back.

Just got yelled at for plugging a phone in to charge on a power strip that only had ATM plugged into it. Some guy that apparently works here said, «you really should ask before plugging into things.» Really? It’s a phone, not a generator! I doubt it’s gonna short out your ATM. Must be extra paranoid in a cash only bar! Also, they couldn’t do a White Russian. Pfft. Bad place for a night cap.

Great dive bar for drinking large amounts of cheap drinks. Shots are around 4 – 5 bucks and are pretty massive double shots. The vibe is pretty relaxed and generally doesn’t get too loud so it’s easy to have a conversation here with friends. There’s a jukebox and there’s usually a pretty diverse crowd so you’ll hear all sorts of music throughout the night. The bartenders are ultra nice and it’s easy to get a drink whenever you’re ready for another one because the place doesn’t get too crowded unless the place around the corner is having a show. There’s a pool table and a dartboard, but the drinks are the greatest thing. Make sure not to get too drunk because you might fall into the urinal trough in the men’s room. My friend and I found this gem of a place after needing to find a place too take a leak on our way to some hookah, but we decided to stay for a few hours after buying a drink(after using the bathroom) and finding out how friendly the bartender is and how cheap the drinks are. I’ve seen the bouncer refuse to let in people who are too drunk which I think is a nice way of protecting the customers who are already there, but don’t get crunk somewhere else and then try to come in here. Make sure to bring cash since this is cash-only but they do have an ATM if you run out.

One of the divier dives in Seattle and I’m a fan. Order a shot and a beer sit back and enjoy the scene of pro drinkers in a 1970’s lounge setting. The bouncer on hand is friendly and judicious in his ejections. The bartenders usually have just about the right amount of attitude of you want, probably due to the amount of degenerates they deal with.

Bottom Line Up Front: Cheap micro-brews, top notch jukebox, pool table. I was in Seattle for a weekend recently and just popped into this place because it looked promising. The barkeep asked me what I like to drink and advised me on some local brews that they had on tap that he thought I’d like. He didn’t hit on all of them, but the advice was pretty good and it was cool to learn about some of the local breweries. The bar is Cash Only, so make sure to bring your dolla dolla bills, y’all. The Jukebox is one of those internet based ones, so it’ll play everything from Motorhead to Taylor Swift. As an aside, there are two kinds of people, Taylor Swift fans and liars. The spot wasn’t too crowded, but there were some fun locals that let me know about some other fun haunts to check out in the area. All in all, it was a really great happenstance to drop into this place!

I am tempted to give up on the Nitelight. Instead of the usual delightful middle aged sassypants lady that worked there when I used to go, we had a hipster server on Saturday who would be perfect at Lost Lake, too cool to take care of us. She took our order for nachos and asked if we wanted beef or chicken. Beef, please. 45 minutes later, we see her walking around the restaurant with a plate looking lost. No one claims it. She lets it sit on the counter for ten minutes and tries again. Then she puts in in front of us, cold, and says«here are your steak nachos.» We said we ordered beef, thinking ground beef. She said, «oh, we don’t have beef, we have steak. This is REAL Mexican food» in an ultra condescending voice, and walked off leaving us with our jaws hanging. There were only about fifteen patrons in the bar. Not sure why it was so hard to deliver our food to us.

Nitelite lounge is probably the cheapest Seattle bar(or anywhere, actually) that I’ve ever seen. They only take cash! So, be forewarned. That’s probably why this place can get away with serving CHEAP cheap, strong drinks. Well drinks are definitely under $ 4, I can’t remember exactly what the cost is, but I remember feeling shocked and in awe. They were more than worth it, and getting tipsy for two people definitely came to under $ 15. With tip. The interior is ikea hip with an old dive bar feel. Really dark. Surprisingly spacious. This place must not be very well known because I have come here on Saturday nights, and have found a seat no problem. When does that happen in Belltown? This place feels exclusive in the sense that the same ten people must come here all the time, and any newcomers will be eyed suspiciously by the bartender. I don’t even care; those drink prices are worth it!

Now THIS is a cool Seattle bar. It’s got a relaxed atmosphere with cheap drinks, a cool juke box, and funky colors. It’s not quite a dive, but it’s got it’s old school charm. It’s a great cheap place to chill out before a show at The Moore or The Showbox Market. Beware: Cash only! The ATM’s service charge is more than your bank’s ATM.
