$ 5 cover«because it’s Friday». Maybe they’re trying to keep people out because of how small the place is.

Went twice. Empty both times. Second time wannabe TSA bartender with red hair accused me of being intoxicated(I was not) before we even spoke to him. Turned around and walked out. Maybe that’s why you work on Tuesdays, Mr. personality.

I’m a big fan of the Eagle! It’s one of my go-to spots in Capitol Hill(I’m here right now actually haha). Yay for late night Unilocaling! The drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is great. I like a place where I can where my favorites ripped up jeans or jorts and still feel like I’m dressed appropriately. There’s a cover on the weekends usually, which is almost always worth it. So the queer scene in Seattle is interesting; you have to know when to go places. For instance, if you’re a mid-twenties, genderqueer, female bodied individual, Shade will probably be right up alley. If you’re a gay mid-thirties otter you’ll probably feel right at home at 2181. It’s all about finding your groove, who you want to be around, and respecting the space of those who are different than yourself. So make sure to check out the Events calendar on their website to see what event is going on that night and what the crowd will be like. Also, they have a freaking SWEET back patio! I’m a sucker for places with some kind of outdoor area where you can catch your breath(or a quick smoke) between dancing your heart out to awesome jams. Let me know if you want a recommendation for what party would be really fun for your first night at the infamous and ethereal Eagle Tavern!

I’m an Eagle guy. I work at an Eagle, I eat breathe sleep Eagle; and this is a true specimen of a real Eagle feel. My main men at Eagle: Steve — hot flirty bartender who understands some people don’t like to wait for drinks and busts his ass. Michael — hot flirty bartender who unseat and show to make you feel sexy and important. And then there was Dane… Oh Dane, you sly devil, he’s the token fun time — I’ll just say I love you baby! And I’ll leave things not appropriate for Unilocal off Unilocal ;) Thanks guys for being my goto whenever I’m in Seattle.

The Eagle is a chain, with bars in every major US city. I’ve been to quite a few of them. This one sucks, which is sad because other Eagles are so much better. The main complaint I have about the Seattle Eagle is that there’s never anybody there. The bar staff seem lost in their own self-importance. There’s nothing particularly stand-out about the place aside from their corporate image and the place’s near total vacancy to justify it, either.

I had the best time chatting up the bartenders. They are amazingly knowledgeable on all things that go bump in Seattle’s nightlife. I even learned what the Seattle Freeze means lol I just wish I could remember the bartenders name who doubles as Mr. leather Seattle… anyone know?

Staff and guests are generally friendly here. I usually feel it is worth the effort when I patronize this place.

Really sad but this bar has gone hill. It is nothing like the other Eagles Bars in other cities across the country. Bartenders are rude. The drinks are not good drinks. Plus, i don’t go to the Eagle to see a woman pole dance. If I wanted to see a women dance show, I would need to attend a gentleman’s club not a gay bar. This is very sad…

Absolutely love going on the nights when there is an event happening. It can be a little slow the rest of the time. Keep up the interesting themes and I will keep on coming in for sure!

I’m tempted to put one star. There’s no reason for this place to charge a cover — the door guy likes to change the cover price when he feels like it… very annoying. They pour the WEAKEST drinks in town — $ 6 for well vodka and not even a full shot. Had an OK time last night — seems like 1 out of 5 times is fun here.

This is the WORST«gay» bar n Seattle! Me and my husband went there last night to watch a drag show featuring Jinkx Monsoon, It was supposed to start around 9 – 10,well needless to say 12:15 am rolls around and finally a drag queen comes out on stage does one number then here comes Jinkx Monsoon. she dances to one song and then sings one live song. sad to say we enjoyed Angle better than JInkx, It could have been because the stage was not a stage at all i was a tiny lil cage for Gogo boys to dance in and not enough for a good show. I can say that the drinks were good and the one bartender was nice. I personally think that if the Eagle wants to host drag shows they need to rethink the location of the bar it is to small for the crowds a show brings there is no stage and no room to move around. then the people, It was clear that i was there with my husband we ordered a drink and i headed to the bathroom i left my husband standing outside the restroom and this creepy old man follows us from the bar and then follows me into the restroom pulls out his penis and flashes me. knowing that i am there with someone then the whole night my crotch was grouped by men passing by me in the crowded bar. not a good feeling when you are married! NEEDLESSTOSAYWEWILLNEVERGOBACKTOTHISTRASHBAR! Unless you wanna get grouped and creeped on i suggest that you keep your distance as well!

The bartender used to work with my husband in Oklahoma! What a small world. He is friendly, makes a good greyhound, and I’m groovin’ to the electronic music waiting on my Jinkx Monsoon. It’s a fun night in the city. As long as the trolls stay away from my man, it’s all good.

There are no many gay bars in Seattle I like but this is one of them. As long as you arrive at the right time. If you go earlier than 11 pm, you´ll only find, as a friend of mine says, «unhappy people». But starting at 11 it´s very fun and cute guys,

Went in for an early evening beer and the bartender was extremely rude and paid no attention to us. As an out of towner I would assume that they would be more welcoming but clearly that was not the case. Would never come back when I return to Seattle but have had way better experiences in Portland and Los Angeles. Place needs to be cleaned too. Very dirty.

I went here with my partner on a Sunday night; it had been several months since my last visit. We walked right in, there was no bouncer, and continued to walk past the bar. For a Sunday night I thought it would be more dead. We played a game of pool and went out to the back patio. There were other patrons outside and then a conversation started. Shortly thereafter the bartender came out, walked up to us and asked us directly, «Are you guys going to order a drink?». Neither one of us responed at first; then he said, «If not you gotta go.». I understand common courtesy, but I wish people could also understand tight finances that limit options. He could have said it a lot more nicely

Dirty, a little gross, and kind of trashy — Freakin’ love it. Especially for«Dickslap». This place is super fun and hilarious. It’s seedy, its unpretentious, and its a great time.

I realize I’m not exactly the target patron for the Eagle, but I can’t help but be annoyed by this place. I came here on a Saturday evening a few weeks ago and was charged $ 5 cover at the door to listen to some guy’s iPod while I drank a $ 6 Heineken. So there you have it, $ 11+tip to sit in an empty shithole of a car and drink a bottle of beer. Some of the events here are fun(Bearacuda, Fringe) but coming on a regular night is a downright tragic experience. I heard this place used to be really wild before the Liquor Board cracked down on them for repeated instances of nudity and public sex. It was probably at least somewhat fun back then.

I lived in Seattle in 2008, moved back to California and now am back again thru the end of the year. I went by the ol’ Eagle to hang with the bros and check out the scene last night, and was shocked to see women(WTF??) dancing upstairs where the pool table used to be. Ugh. The Eagle used to be a seedy, scary bar with lots of trolling and cruising and half naked men — now it’s just a seedy bar with lots of go-go dancers in ‘the cage’ and their women friends chatting about scarves and handbags(not kidding). I think they have special event nights for the gay men — but for a regular weekend night, this bar is now a twink/fag hag bar with a $ 5 cover that you should bring your sister and mom to when they visit from out of town.
