New on the block but one of my favorites aside from Allegro and Café on the Ave. I’ve only tried the moccha so far, but it’s awesome! Definitely good coffee. They have more variety of food(Rachel Ginger Beer and Market Spice tea from Downtown!!), though undoubtedly a bit pricey. The service is really nice, too. What I like the most about this place is the bright, sunlit space and comfy chairs. The atmosphere is pretty chill but never too loud like Café on the Ave. New find on the Ave!

I’ve been here for five minutes but it’s delightful. I’ve gotten a cider and it’s warm and soothing and creamy. It’s smallish but there’s hardly anyone here just a handful of quiet studious ppl on their macs. Excellent study spot they’ve got alcohol and salads too!

What makes Post Alley Café such a terrific place is its emphasis on quality food and drink and its environment. I’ve been here a few times now, and the coffee is rich and flavorful and the pastries soft and sweet. They also carry some really delicious food, including Ellenos yogurt(which is a must try!). The environment at the café is also noteworthy, with eclectic lighting fixtures, beautiful wood furniture, and colorful accenting. I also found the staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant. This is a really nice spot for a quick bite or meeting!

This is a new café right by Neptune Theatre in Hotel Deco. There is limited seating, but the place is very airy and bright from the big windows that it feels more spacious than it actually is. In addition to coffee, there are some already-made food items in the fridge that are decent like salads, cheese and fruit plates, Elleno’s yogurt, etc… They also serve beer and wine here, and have free wifi. As for public restrooms it’s located on the basement level of the hotel, so it’s a short walk to the restroom and you need the key code from the barista or hotel staff. Otherwise this is a nice place to hang out in before going to Neptune.

Great spot for a hot tea and a breakfast sandwich! I highly recommend the sausage and egg sandwich as it has Beecher’s cheese and fantastic sliced chicken sausage. So delicious. Great atmosphere and terrific location(right off of the Ave). I was easily able to find a spot near an outlet and get some work done. Staff is very friendly and quick service. The café is connected to the hotel which is where the restrooms are located. Great find!

Very happy that Post Alley Café replaced the Tulley’s in this spot in Hotel Deca. The coffee is delicious and the vibe is much cozier. The café offers lots of great market treats like Ellenos yogurt and pastries made with Beecher’s cheese, etc. Very yummy and highly recommended! Better and more unique than your Starbucks fare and a more sophisticated addition to the Ave’s current lineup of coffee shops. I’m not a student but if I were this would probably be my #1 for study sessions.

Another new café in the Udistrict and this one replaces the old Tully’s on the ground floor of Hotel Deca. I definitely got a good impression of this place for my first visit. While called Post Alley– it is definitely not hidden in an alley, right on the busy 45th St. with a PRIMO corner location, even on a rainy day this place is bright and cozy with huge windows all around and with two little«tucked away» corners where introverts like me can totally be ourselves and get some work down, do some reading, and ponder about life. Being directly attached to the hotel lobby, you’ll get a mix of tourists/visitors and students from campus here. The interior has a great industrial feel with concrete floors, wood and bare lightbulbs. There’s a little growing«library» bookshelf to one wall and one single flat screen playing random commercials at varying volumes(at one point it got really awkward and annoying). It’s a fairly large café, plenty of room(for now, since it is pretty new). And I love the variety of seating they have– a long communal table for lively large parties, small round tables for a coffee date or your business meeting, and bar seating along the windows for some people-watching and laptop working. The service was really nice, the prices a just maybe about 50 cents higher than your usual cafes around the Ave, but they serve high quality Herkimer Coffee. There was also a nice looking case filled with drool-worthy pastries but I resisted. Service was fast, I got my soy latte– it was smooth, creamy, and not bitter at all! Overall Post Alley definitely makes it on to my U-district Go-To Café List! Oh– P. S. they have wine & beer.
