This is one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in lately. The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks were innovative without any pretentiousness. I will be back again and again.

Had a pork belly hash, likely one of the best breakfasts in my entire life that wasn’t a homemade meal. I will be back.

This place has such good jam!!! Something I really appreciate about this place is that it’s pretty healthy. All of the dishes incorporate a lot of super foods and they make it taste really good. There was kale in my dish but it still tasted amazing haha. One thing I can’t stop raving over is definitely the jam. Make sure you get a biscuit and jam. I think you can ask them to heat up the biscuit for you. We didn’t, but it still tasted good. My mouth is watering thinking about how much better it would have tasted with a toasted biscuit.

Came here for dinner and got the porkchop, since this place is called porkchop! The entrée is quite large with a thick portion of pork — not bad for $ 24. It came with grits, kale, and pickled apples. The pork was very moist, but the downside of having such a thick piece of pork is that the middle bites becomes a bit bland with the lack of fat or crisp outside cooked goodness. The pickled apple and mustard seeds were a nice addition of flavor, but still not strong enough flavor for the middle blandness. In the end, one of my friends asked for hot sauce for her fries(in the Wagyu beef entrée), and everyone else at the table used the hot sauce for the pork. I also got the house bottled cocktail Negroni, which was very good! It didn’t have a strong alcohol flavor, and was very easy to drink. Rather than tasting like a mixed drink, it tasted as if the cocktail was bottled this way. One of my friends who doesn’t really drink much didn’t like her tequila drink, so I gave her my Negroni instead, and she enjoyed it. Also, get the beet crostini that’s free with a Unilocal check-in. It’s really yummy!

Came here for weekend brunch/lunch. Super cute, minimal rustic restaurant. For the most part you help yourself here, getting the water/silverware, seating yourself, and ordering at the counter(like you would at a café). We ordered way more food than we could finish because we wanted to try everything. Highly recommend the Pork chop Deluxe, Biscuits with Jam, and Pork Belly Hash. The staff is super friendly and loved chatting with them while ordering and when they came over to greet us. Would definitely come back again and recommend this place to everyone! Note: come on an empty stomach and bring sunglasses because it’d be nice to sit outside on the deck/sidewalk area.

Beyond the best brunch I have ever had! Porkchop & co is worth the trip out to Ballard. I think this was my favorite dining experiences during our trip to Seattle. We ordered the Croque Madame and Pork Belly Hash. We honestly enjoyed the Croque Madame more than the Pork Belly. It is on the pricier side for breakfast, but the plates are absolutely delicious! After you dine at Porkchop & co, spend some time walking the streets of Ballard! Really cool shops and other restaurants/bars! We ended up stopping by Cupcake Royale for a post brunch treat.

This is an amazing spot for dinner. I went here last night with a friend and everything I tried was delicious! Service was good, our waters were filled constantly and we managed to place our orders and get the food in a reasonable amount of time. This restaurant reminds me of Local 360 in Belltown. However, to pay you end up taking your check and paying at the counter, which I think is a great idea to help get you on your way. We got an array of food items that allowed us to sample a good portion of the menu: Asparagus soup $ 7(?): this was a vegan soup but surprisingly had a full creamy taste to it, it felt like they used cream or something, but I though it was very good. Pickle plate $ 7: I think this was my least favorite out of all the dishes I tried, because they used the same vinegar brine solution for all of the vegetables. However, the selection of vegetables was pretty extensive(radish, celery, onions, asparagus, etc). It was still pretty good, but I probably wouldn’t order it next time. Pork Chop $ 25: The portion on this was huge, for $ 25 you get a giant pork chop, with creamy grits(?), pickled pears, and some sort of kale salad(?). It was very delicious, the pork was cooked to a nice medium and wasn’t dry at all. Seafood trio $ 15: This plate had an array of seafood ranging from octopus(cooked nicely-didn’t have the rubbery texture), salmon locks(nice a flavorful), tuna fish(I wasn’t too fond of this, it had the texture of a tunafish sandwich filling), some sort of clams/mussels and tiny shrimp poached in a seasoned oil(surprisingly good, full of flavor and the calms weren’t fishy tasting at all) Churros $ 8-pretty good, had a rhubarb compote and rhubarb whipped cream Chocolate pot de crème $ 8– I really liked this dessert, it was similar to Dilletante’s chocolate mousse but thicker and had a more custard like texture to it. Overall I had a pleasant experience here and am looking to try out the brunch menu.

It’s true this is almost a «self service» restaurant. You order and pay up front at the counter. You grab your own silverware, napkins, cups, water and sauces. You even bus your own tables for the most part. But OMG is the food worth it. I went with a group and we’re plate pickers(and all happily so) we got try a little bit of everything. And everything was delightful, delectable and delicious. It’s crowded though. Always. But worth it.

I really enjoyed myself at Porkchop & Co the other day at brunch with some friends! Since there was a relatively large group of us(6-ish in our group), I sent them an email for a reservation. I thought it’d be difficult for some reason, but it ended up being a pretty simple deal despite their free-seating policy! Paul, the owner of the restaurant, responded to me really quickly, and I was pretty much set within a day! I really appreciated that personal touch, and was looking forward to the brunch before it even happened. I ordered the Pork Belly Hash because of all of the raving reviews about it on here, and did not regret this decision. I was mildly worried, as one recent reviewer did mention under cooked potatoes, but I did not have this issue — the potatoes were well done, the whole dish well seasoned, and the pork belly a great balance of meat and fattiness. The rest of the veggies were also well cooked. I definitely believed I was eating a bit healthier than I am sure I was(I mean it’s pork belly, how healthy could that have been?). And because of the potatoes, the hash was so filling! I was full for the remainder of the day until dinner. A lot of people mentioned that a lot of this restaurant is self-service — you get your own utensils, your own water, you bus your own table, etc. However, I still had great service here! We all ordered at the counter of course, but the waitress who brought our our food offered and brought us the sauces that we could have picked up by the utensils, and bused our table for us before we even made it to the trays. She was friendly as well, checking in on us a few times and checking in to see if we wanted to have dessert or anything after we had finished. Overall, great experience at Porkchop & Co — can’t wait to be back again in the near future!

Refreshing, light, and expensive eatery in a trendy part of Ballard. We arrived during happy hour on a Saturday and was seated immediately. They had a few specials for the day, which the waitress pushed for eagerly. We ended up going with their specials of ceviche(9 $) and chicken pot pie(16 $), and the apple melt sandwich on sourdough(8 $) from the happy hour menu. The ceviche was fresh, had a nice crunchy chip and plenty of lime juice. The portion size was too small for two people though, and at a hefty price. Chicken pot pie was super hearty and surprisingly only had dough on the top while the bottom was just a bowl. Flavor was spot on but seems like they took the easy way out by not really making a real pot pie and charging a lofty bunch at the same time. Lastly, the apple melt had a beautiful contrast of sweet from the apples and tart from the cheeses.

I enjoy the concept of ordering at the counter here. Normally, it would make the brunch experience very casual, but the place has a nice enough ambiance to make up for that. Plus, it seems to help with wait times — on a busy Sunday in Ballard for brunch that is a pretty big deal. Food: You won’t find your typical(American) breakfast here. They put a lot of creative twists to the classics, though. For example, I had the pork belly hash which was surprisingly very veggie heavy, probably to offset the greasy meat. 4⁄5 for taste. One of the vegetables in there had a strong artichoke flavor(maybe it was artichokes… haha) that didn’t set well with me and the raw egg they pour over the top. This is a personal preference however. FYI the breakfast bowl which I believe is one of their cheapest options is very small, almost side-dish size. The shining star of the day(or morning) was actually their beet crustinis and they’re free with a Unilocal check-in! You definitely don’t want to miss out on that perk. Drinks: Unless you order a cocktail, water and coffee are self-serve, which is nice in that you can refill as soon as you need one. Overall: I can’t comment too much on service since the self-serve options override that. This place is a good option if you’re in a bit of a time crunch on the weekends. I will definitely be back.

I’m a fan! This is a great brunch spot. I came in on a Saturday morning and got myself the pork belly hash. Simple, hearty and delicious is all that I have to say. I didn’t even finish my dish because it was so filling! It was a great combination of seasonal veggies with the sweetest grapefruit that I’ve ever had. I’m definitely coming back to try out more of their good food. The only interaction that I had with the staff was the cashier. Also positive. He made small convo when he noticed that my friend was wearing our art school’s gear. Very nice and very cool. –Be sure to use the free crostini if its still available!

4.5÷5! I love this place! Went with some friends for brunch. It was an awful rainy day but we managed to find parking in the senior home parking garage next door, it was only 2 bucks for a few hours of parking! Let me start by saying I don’t like breakfast food or brunch food… I just get so sick of it and end up barely touching anything. We got biscuits with jam and butter to share and they were to die for! Great texture and flakey-ness. I ended up getting the eggs Benedict which happened to be on biscuits as well. My friends got some sort of hash, croque madame, and the breakfast bowl. Everyone was very pleased with the visit. It was a nice setting where you can easily catch up with friends with good food! We were actually sat at the bar and there were cute lights hung up with a little view of what the kitchen staff was up to. Overall I would love to come back and get more biscuits and perhaps try more dishes! The eggs Benedict were pretty perfect for me, though. Don’t forget to bus your own table!

First time coming here. Made a reservation for a large party(11 people) on a Friday morning since I’ve never been here before and wasn’t sure how busy it would be. Ambiance: Extremely casual and small little place, seems like you seat yourself. You order at the front too. Food: One of our friends really likes this place and highly recommended the eggs benedict. But we were disappointed as it appears they only serve this on weekends. I ended up ordering the Pork Belly Hash and a side of fried brussel sprouts. The fried brussel sprouts came with caramelized bacon and a light creamy sauce which I couldn’t quite place a finger on what it was(too light to be mayonnaise). It was pretty good but slightly on the saucer side, which I’m not a huge fan of. The pork belly hash wasn’t bad. The chunks of pork belly they give you are very generous and the selection of meat they have was perfect. The middle of the pork belly was nice, fatty, and about the quarter of a size of a rubics cube(to give you some perception of its size). The only downside to the hash was that their potatoes were CLEARLY undercooked. They were CRUNCHY when you bit into each one. They need to work on cooking their potatoes more. It wasn’t just my dish either that people were complaining, everyone who had potatoes as a side of their dish told me their potatoes were undercooked/crunchy. Something this place could definitely work on. Parking: Street parking if you can find it. Luckily on weekdays, it wasn’t so hard to find. Overall: great place to try once but until they get their potatoes right, probably won’t be coming back.

Fun breakfast option in Ballard. Small place can be very busy at prime times. Tasty menu options many with kale or chorizo which is nice. Big shared table one the middle

Started with the soup of the week which was a pumpkin soup and the fried brussels sprouts. Both were absolutely delicious! Loved the flavor of the soup and the bacon and cauliflower purée definitely enhanced the flavor of the brussels sprouts. I ordered the porkshop and my friend ordered the steak which I had a piece of. The porkchop was seasoned and cooked well. The steak was cooked perfectly(medium rare) and it was nice and tender. Overall, the food was great! I did like the place in general, but felt that the lighting was a little bright. I wouldve preferred a slightly dimmer setting, but overall it was fine. Service was great too. The only thing is… you have to up to the register to pay vs at your table, but no biggie.

Porkchop & Company is breathtaking. They serve items that can, in a majority sense, pass for brunch. They can be crowded and their wait is typical for a good sit down restaurant. Prices are reasonable, especially for what is being sought. The croque madame for a dozen dollars is what I had. It took twenty five minutes to acquire. But when it came, it was worth the wait. It was an open faced sandwich composed of gravy, cheese, ham, egg, kale and bread, all made well if they had to stand on their own legs. It was big and the taste was simply indulgent, but very decadent. It was creamy mixed with the nuance of more tender ingredients. Don’t live your life without going here.

This may be my new favorite brunch spot!(For the shakshuka alone.) When the description of this place is «we smoke, cure, pickle, and make everything in house from scratch» it’s hard to go wrong. You order at a walk up counter where the menu specials are written in chalk above as well as the local farms they partner with so you know where the ingredients come from. We ordered the shakshuka with chorizo and Frank’s scramble with bacon… both amazing. The shakshuka eggs were cooked perfectly to ooze out and both dishes came with plenty of kale… throw in the health! The toast is thick slabs of Columbia City country bread and their homemade jam melts in your mouth! You have a view of the open kitchen which is nice and clean — I love when places make an effort to show them off for transparency. Ambiance is top notch. One side of the restaurant is lined with amazing cookbooks to leaf through. Since you order at a walk up counter you are also in charge of getting your own utensils, water, and coffee so the service aspect isn’t quite like a proper sit down– just FYI.

Charming little brunch spot right behind Market St. so there are plenty of cafes and shops nearby if you’re looking for other things to do after your meal. I would imagine it’s easier to come with smaller groups but there was one large table in the center and other tables could be combined for a larger group. Still easier for 2 – 4 people, I think. I checked in and got the beet crostinis for free. My friend has a Unilocal as well and was going to check in but the server said she would give us 2 and brushed us off to just be seated. Now that I think about it, why couldn’t she check in and get her own plate of crostinis? They are tiny. We’re hungry. We’re paying separately. Not a big deal, albeit a little strange and seemed stingy. The croque madam I ordered was delicious. Perfectly runny egg, yummy kale, and super savory. It was really salty though, so you’ll definitely be thirsty afterwards. The slaw on the side helped tone it down a little. I was surprised that it was a self-service type of restaurant where you order at a counter and have to get your own silverware, water, etc.(Note: maybe it’s just me, being a poor college student, but I don’t usually tip at places like this where the only service is when they bring out your food. I couldn’t quite figure out the tipping system on the screen without taking an embarrassingly long time so I just went with the lowest tipping option. but I thought it was a tad annoying you couldn’t just sign without tipping. I’m sure there’s a way to manually input 0 but how awkward is that while they’re hovering over you.?) Aside from some little nitpicky things, loved this place. I would come back possibly but if it was crowded, which seems likely, I wouldn’t hesitate to pop over to a different brunch spot as there are quite a few in the area. It’s good food, very reasonably priced, and cozy — but not to die for. Better service would bump this up to a 5 for me.

Porkchop & Co looked like the ultimate brunch destination — classic breakfast dishes, sandwiches with a twist, all with a hipster vibe. Unfortunately, our food was just short of great, and because it was an «order at the counter» ordeal, the service couldn’t salvage the restaurant from its lack of depth. We started with the beet crostini, which was free with Unilocal check-in. It was my favorite part of the meal(and it didn’t even cost a penny!) I ordered the cauliflower sandwich, which featured fresh cauliflower, cauliflower purée, and egg yolk on toasted rye. The fresh cauliflower had a lot of flavor, but didn’t mix well with the purée. The purée was bland, with a grainy consistency. I also had a side of the kale caesar, which was average. Everyone at the table agreed the food was average, nothing spectacular. We saw a few of the breakfast specials being brought out and those looked absolutely yummy!
