As a fellow Russkie I was very excited to get my hands on these. I love me some piroshkies and they do offer a wide array of doughy goodness. I did enjoy the authentic Russian lady slaving away making them in front of the line. She didnt seem happy, so it made this experience all that more authentic. You know the Russian way is a way where life has beaten you down! ;) After the crazy long line. Like we are back in the USSR waiting for bread! Authentic experiences all around! We purchased a couple of varieties because we were hungry and we are fatties. As Russikies we have eaten a few piroshkies here and there and found these underwhelming. No offense to the babushka working hard for her money. The meat was blah, the cheese was little to be found, and the particular disappointment was the dough. Bland. The potato one was our favorite. All in all a mediocre experience in a high traffic tourist black hole.

I wasn’t hungry at all. But we walked by Piroshky Piroshky on the way back to the car and I just had to stop and grab one. It was Wednesday, January 20th, a little before 2pm. I decided to get their most popular one — Beef & cheese: mix of seasoned group beef & columbia valley sharp cheddar($ 5.40). I’ve never had a piroshky, but I gotta say, Piroshky Piroshky made me a fan! The outside was flaky, chewy and fried nicely. The inside was so comforting and savory. How can you go wrong with beef and cheese?! So good! I ended up saving part of it for later and it was still delicious! I’m so glad I was able to check out Piroshky Piroshky before I left Seattle. I get why this is a hot spot.

Awesome! I’ve never had a piroshky before and I would have to say this was pretty spectacular. I was in Seattle for my birthday and we stopped in here one morning after hitting up the OG Starbucks. We got the spinach, ham and cheese piroshky. Bomb shizz! I loved it and will absolutely be back the next time I’m in Seattle. Well done.

I genuinely wanted to like you. Like any arguably good millennial foodie, I consulted Unilocal when I was in Seattle for some delectable local treats and came upon Piroshky Piroshky. The line was long but my sister and I had time to spare so we waited patiently for about 30 minutes. The bakery has two types of pastries: savoury or sweet. I ordered a chocolate hazelnut piroshky and my sister ordered the blackberry cream cheese piroshky(both sweet). Big mistake. I’m not sure if Russian pastries are supposed to be this hard but I am not a fan. It wasn’t even just that the pastry was hard but the hazelnut cream was not palatable(read: really gross). I genuinely feel bad for leaving a bad review but I gotta keep it real for my fellow Unilocalers. The cream had a familiar taste of hazelnut but the texture was a cross between cream and gelatine mix. It tasted very artificial. Not a fan of wasting food, I couldn’t finish the pastry and ended up throwing half of it away. I tried a couple bites of my sister’s blackberry cream cheese piroshky and it was definitely better than mine but not by much. That thing was ROCKHARD. They gave us a plastic knife to cut it but we struggled for real because we were standing outside without a table(keep in mind, there are ~2 seats in the bakery so it’s just a grab and go place). The pastry was basic and the cream cheese was okay so that’s really the only saving grace. Two stars as opposed to one because the people who worked there were nice. Virg Tip: If you’re going to come here, don’t get what I got and order some of their more popular savoury breads instead.

This place was a little touristy haven for my first-time visit to Seattle. What better than strolling with a bushel of flowers in one hand and piroshky in the other, past the unfortunate souls waiting in line at the first Starbucks, and onward to your iconic present and short-sighted future of the warm-bundled babe in hand. Delishky.

If this place make its own cologne/perfume line I would buy it, screw it just make a Yankee Candle scent of this store! I got the hazlenut filled pastry thingy mabob, it was amazing, the freshness, the chocolate, the powder, it was all perfect. They are literally pushing these out by the hour cause of how busy this place is. If you see a line, its probably a good sign. I also saw mother Russia in the back and she meant business!

Growing up in San Francisco(with non-food-focused parents), the piroshkies that I grew up with were infrequent, heavy, and terrible. However, the boy was adamant that Piroshky Piroshky was a necessary visit on our little Seattle weekend trip, so of course, I obliged. + CHICKEN, MUSHROOM, ANDRICE. The filling comes wrapped in a light, flaky crust, full of butter and delicious goodness. The filling itself, while it could use some hot sauce, is creamy, and quite good. Definitely a fan(and make sure you eat it fresh!). + POTATOANDCHEESE. This one was our fault — we got it ‘for later’, and stored It in the fridge, which was more like a freezer. Fact: frozen piroshkies are not as delicious as fresh ones, and frozen potatoes and cheese basically become a solid block of sadness. Piroshky Piroshky is definitely worth dropping by(and don’t be confused by how cramped the store is, order with confidence, and try new things!).

Going into the store there are multiple pastries on display with labels. After entering, a line quickly formed in this cute and quaint shop. I ordered the egg, spinach & cheese pastry and it was pretty good! There was a generous amount of egg and spinach that was still green and fresh after it being baked. I wish the eggs were seasoned a bit more but there was ketchup and mustard available. This is definitely a good place for a quick morning pastry/sweet baked good while walking around the Pike Place Market.

Before starting my day, I grabbed a beef and onion piroshki(~$ 5.40). The warmth and scent of the piroshki drew me in. The flaky and crispy pastry is equally wonderful and filling. The beef is well seasoned and tender. There are many piroshki options: chicken, cheese, onions, and/or mushrooms. I had wanted to try the popular smoked salmon piroshki, but, unfortunately for me, they were all sold out. However, I was pretty satisfied with my beef and onion piroshki. There is a long line at the restaurant but guests are quickly served. There is no seating but the piroshki is a nice snack to eat while walking around the market.

I’ve been to Seattle several times the past 2 years and I always, always come back to Piroshky Piroshky. Why? For that beef & cheese piroshky! There may be a line but I happen to go early enough(or on a weekday) to see no line. Though this last time, a line formed right when we sat down to start eating our pastries. BEEF&CHEESEPIROSHKY [+] such flakey goodness [+] beef and cheese, ahem, why wouldn’t you want that? [+] sizeable pastry too HAM&CHEESE&SPINACH [+] very good [+/-] not as good as the beef & cheese though [+] a nice break from bites of beef & cheese Haha, as you can tell I’m all about the beef & cheese piroshky. Get that and you’ll be happy.

Red from Orange is the new black got us curious about piroshky… I’ve been here only to try a small sample and not actually the full piroshky. This time there was no line early morning and all the pastries were fresh! We stopped by and got a breakfast like piroshky of spinach, ham and cheese. I must say it was good but I still don’t know what a piroshky is. It tasted like a puff pastry with some meat. Is that all? Kinda of like a puffy hot pocket. It kept us alive for our adventures in Seattle.

Came back again and realized that the prices for these baked goodies are too high. $ 5 for a bread? Sigh… had to drop a star. I’ve had similar baked goods for less than half that price elsewhere. The piroshkys are good, but not worth the amount they charge. Next time I will try another bakery.

During my visits to Pike’s Place, Piroshky Piroshky always has a line. I was a little nervous about the wait in the morning because I get quite hangry, but it moved quite fast. There’s only four seats inside the small store, so plan to take it togo. I was lucky enough to snag some seats and saw all of their interesting postings/pictures(like Anthony Bourdain’s visit)! The actual taste of the prioshkies were OK/good — nothing too amazing and ran about $ 4 – 5 which are pretty expensive to me. We got the: 1. beef and cheese 2. ham, egg, and spinach 3. mushroom, celery, and onion 4. egg, spinach, and cheese 5. apple They do have a large selection of pastries so maybe the items my boyfriend and I got weren’t represented of the taste? Who knows. My least favorite was definitely the egg, spinach, and cheese because it wasn’t cheesy at all and needed a lot of salt. I didn’t try the beef and cheese or ham, egg and spinach, but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy the ham, egg and spinach a lot more than the beef and cheese.

If the wait isn’t more then 15 minutes I would say it is worth the wait. I can stretch to 20 – 30 minutes on a warm day if you’re really craving it. When you walk by, it smells absolutely decadent, it lures you into wanting to go there. The line, again, is daunting but it doesn’t take that long to get through, it’s fairly quick and you can decide on what you want when they pass the menu around. You can choose sweet or savory, we all went with sweet since we just ate lunch, but I am sure the savory ones are good. I prefer sweet so I don’t think I would have chosen a savory anyways. Choices: 1) Rhubarb 2) Cinnamon apple 3) Cranberry apple: this was my choice and my favorite of these, I tried the rhubarb and it wasn’t as sweet as this one so I don’t think it had the same effect on me. Also, mine was warm while his was not. My was soft, warm and tasted amazing. The reason for 4 stars and not 5? Well, they all didn’t come warm, and supposedly they’re supposed to be very warm, mine was mediocre so I wished they came hotter on a cold day like today. Still, very good pastries.

There’s a reason why there’s always a line for this place. It’s sooo darn good!!! I’m kinda impatient when it comes to waiting in lines for food but this line goes by pretty quick. We got the cheddar cheese & garlic, beef & cheese, potato & cheese, and chocolate hazelnut roll. So far, we’ve only tried the first two. Soooooo good!!! The beef & cheese tastes like a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The beef is soft and delicious.(Can you tell we love cheese?!) The cheddar cheese & garlic is hugeeee! There are pieces of green onions which add a pretty good flavor to it. My boyfriend wanted to try the salmon pâté but unfortunately, they were out of it. My coworker had recommended the potato and mushroom one but I’m not a fan of mushrooms. Go go goooo!

I was disappointed with the food I tried here. The line wasn’t too bad which was great. We tried a few different options. Meat and potatoes, cheese and potatoes and one more I can’t seem to remember. I thought the options were good and I couldn’t decide. I was eating a lot of food in a short amount of time on this day which also could of hindered my experience. I remember tasting a lot of salt. I couldnt even finish my food. I would like to try a sweet/dessert one next time. There is very little seating inside, so be prepared to grab and go.

Piroshky Piroshky deserves 5 stars from me. This was the only deserving 5 stars out of all the restaurants I’ve visited in Seattle(just a few). My gosh, words cannot describe how much I fell in love with their pastries. They have a variety of pastry options depending on your mood, you can get sweet piroshky, meat piroshky, or vegetable piroshky. If I had more time then I would definitely try all of their pastries but my favorite by far is their Smoked Salmon Pâté. Geezuz, my first bite was like HEAVEN! I loved the Smoked Salmon Piroshky. Staff were friendly, small bakery, no seats inside, so many people get the pastries to go and walk around holding a Piroshky on their left hand and Starbucks on their right hand.

I’ve been coming to Seattle a lot recently for work, and I loveeee coming to piroshky piroshky every time since they have such a huge selection of pastries that I never get bored. The line may look long but it moves super fast !!! Just try and decide what you want before getting to heather end of the line or people will end up waiting on you. The piroshkys range from $ 4-$ 5 a piece but they are huge enough for breakfast or lunch. I like the savory ones more than the sweet ones. So far I have tried the salmon pâté, chocolate Nutella, and the cream cheese marionberry piroshky. My favorite so far has definitely been the salmon one. If I had more will power I would wait until I go home so then I could heat it up and eat it, alas I have none. Must go here when visiting Seattle!!!

This place was probably my favorite place to try at pike market as a foodie tourist ing in Seattle for the first time! Smoked salmon pâté: do you like pâté!!! And smoked salmon!!! The two together?! OHMYGODSOGOOOOD. THEYSELLOUTFASTANDTHEMOSTTOOBUTGOODTHINGTHEYALWAYSKEEPBAKINGMORE!!! Beef and cheese: their second most popular but it’s actually just beef on the inside with some melted shredded cheddar cheese on the outside in the middle. Kind of more on the saltier side too Chicken mushroom and rice: love this one!!! The rice was actually really good! And not too salty but flavorful at the same time All the other piroshkies are delish too. Including the chicken and mushroom etc as a close second, but smoked salmon pâté takes this trophy hands down! A must try! I even went back to buy more and lined up again! Pros: –super friendly girls and fast service so line moves fast! –gives samples of currently holiday treat –variety of piroshkies! –all served fresh and hot! ! Cons: –kind of expensive but money always well spent on food!

I see why this is a must go to spot while you’re visiting Pike’s Market Place. Don’t let the line deter you, they are pretty quick at getting the line moving. Tried the salmon and beef/onions piroshky. Both were quite tasty and as much as I like filling, the pasty itself was the star– slightly oily, flaky, warm, and crisp… all the things that it should be. I tried a dessert one but ended up taking a bite and not liking it at all… I forget what was in it… but it was some kind of red root/vegetable/fruit, yea one of those… Eating two-three of these could substitute for a lunch for sure.
