Average brunch place with indoor and outdoor seating. Food is nothing to write home about but appreciate the dog friendly patio.

Very average, reasonably priced food in a fun diner setting. That is all. Eggs benedict came cooked all the way through, and the«hobo» scramble was overwhelmed with salty bacon bits and underwhelming in every other sense. If I were at Denny’s, I would have been happy, but was expecting so much more out of this cute, quirky looking place.

We went with a big group for brunch and had a great time. They do eggs to order very well and have an extensive menu of breakfast items to choose from. They accommodate vegan and vegitarian orders. Service was fast and friendly. I liked the décor which is very kitchy. Overall this is a great little diner and one of those local color joints you should not miss. Recommend.

We decided to try the Luna Park Café because of other reviews. There was a small line to get in but the café had put a thermos of coffee outside for those in line-very nice! The food was fresh and very delicious! Service was excellent. Great overall experience.

It’s really gone downhill… Even the quality of food. So it used to be great! friendly staff who were attentive to those who came in and affectively seated or advised us of the wait time. No longer that. They’re off on their phones or chatting away flirting with other staff in the back, inattentive to the customers that come in. Back in the day the shakes were awesome, the food prepared to perfection and overall clean even with the décor clutter. Lately it looks like they’re too lazy to even get rid of the grime on the tables. Tables are sticky, condiments are too, the food is overcooked and tastes freezer burnt, the shakes are uneven in flavor meaning they’re not stirring the flavorings in to the Ice cream, literally a big chunk of peanut butter and a handful of chocolate chips in your vanilla ice cream… Oh watch out, can’t say anything or complain they’ll give you the stink eye and make you feel uncomfortable like they’ll do something to your food for complaining… Bathrooms are a mess, parking is horrendous, seating is crowded and very limited, only two stars because we still hold hope that this place will turn itself around to its good days. Since Ghorms in Kent closed down there’s only two locations that hold best milkshake titles in our book. Sadly Luna was one of them.

This really is as good as it gets. They have working at table jukebox from the 50s, amazing shakes, darn good burgers and you can tell from the food they avoid precooking as much as they can. Awesome!

If I were tasked with deciding on a restaurant to meet friends or family in West Seattle, Luna Park definitely would make the short list. This place has been in business for as long as I can remember. I mean, I remember riding on their Batman ride as a kid. That tells you how long I’ve been coming here! And it’s been in business that long for good reason. The service is fabulous, the food is super yummy, and the eclectic décor is so much fun! I can’t recall a single time we’ve had bad service here. All of their servers are extremely attentive, friendly, and funny. The last time we went in, one of us ordered a mimosa. The gal who made the drink brought it over, practically overflowing, and said«just let me know if you need some more juice. I wanted to make sure you got PLENTY of champagne!» That comment epitomizes the kind of service you’ll get here. The food is also wonderful. Their menu is heavy on breakfasts, sandwiches, and desserts, but they also have dinner entrees if that’s what you’re looking for. Most recently I ordered their fish ‘n’ chips. The portion was huge, the fish was mild and meaty, and the breading was super light and crispy. Yum! Of course, when you’re here you must order one of their famous milkshakes. They have tons of flavors and practically limitless combinations you can order. When I stopped in last time I had a huge craving for chocolate, so decided on their Oreo with hot fudge milkshake. It was heavenly! Another thing that’ll keep you coming back is the fun atmosphere. There’s tons of vintage décor, including table top jukeboxes(yes, they’re operational!). During the summer, you also have the option of sitting outside to enjoy your meal or dessert. Having a milkshake outside on a warm summer night is my idea of a good time! I can’t recommend Luna Park enough. Next time you’re in the West Seattle area, this place is a must for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and I was blown away. The food here is awesome! So much to choose from, especially with all day breakfast going on. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my friend ordered the waffle special. Both delicious. Their shakes here are crazy good too! I was so happy with the service here, everyone was super nice and the food came out extremely quick, probably about five minutes or so. Definitely will be coming back here!

I love diner food and this place scratches that itch when i need to share a giant omelet with someone. Nothing really stands out here but at the same time nothing bad either. It’s safe food and theres something here for everyone.

After losing a soccer game at Delridge playfield, and being soaked to the skin, my teenage son and I decided to stop in at Luna Park Café for milkshakes. Yes, we are suckers for great milkshakes(see our review of Yesterday’s Soda Fountain in Ennis, MT) and this place seemed to have that ‘old diner’ personality, so we made a point of going. Upon walking in, we knew we arrived somewhere fun. The place was decorated with old lunchboxes from the 70’s/80’s, vintage signage, jukeboxes on different walls, and the atmosphere was clearly one of attentive customer service from a friendly staff! There were people there of all ages having a combination of breakfast and lunch, and our server, Hallie, seated us right away. I should mention that the place was decorated for Halloween, so they must try to liven things up a bit. We told Hallie that we were first-time visitors, and that we were really craving milkshakes. She pointed us right to the back of the menu where it listed all the great flavors. She also recommended the hot-fudge /peanut-butter milkshake, which my son and I immediately ordered with complete conviction. I browsed the menu, and realized too late that I forgot to take my anti-impulse shopping pills earlier that morning. We ordered two ‘Works’ burgers after Hallie recommended them(frankly, she could have sold us anything at that point), and we weren’t disappointed with the food. The shakes had fudge around the old fountain glass, a cherry on top, and extra shake. I will say, however, that I should have ordered chocolate and peanut-butter, and not hot fudge. I’ve made this mistake before, and didn’t remember that the hot fudge makes the shake nearly impossible to enjoy with a straw, and the hot fudge doesn’t mix with the ice cream as well as the chocolate does, so it tends to be a very rich. The burgers were a work of art, and juicy too. The fries were crispy and warm, not greasy. The café wasn’t exactly clean, but then again, my son and I were soaked, so I call it a draw. While this café may not appeal to everyone, I am very glad that places like this are still around, and I will definitely be back next time we’re in West Seattle. I need to work off some of the calories first.

Visited the café for a late lunch and ticked off a Unilocal bookmark. It was alright, but it won’t be a regular destination. Thumbs Up: — Butterscotch milkshake is delicious. Super sugary, decadent, whipped cream goodness. Lots of yummy flavors to try, with or without malt. — Had the Veggie Pile and it was pretty good. Crispy hash browns, well cooked veggies, eggs and cheese. Thumbs Down: — The place, though cutely decorated, is pretty grimy. My seat was dirty and the table could have used another wipe down. — Service was a little spotty. We had to ask for our waitress a few times and didn’t get checked up on. — It was a really hot day and felt muggy inside. I don’t think they have AC.

It’s everything a diner should be Luna park is one of those lost treasures that people who are looking for actually good diner food. They serve the typical all American burger, fries and shakes with breakfast and chicken wings. I usually get the bacon bleu burger which is delicious and their fries! Their fries are some of the best fries I’ve had, the crunch they have makes it seem like they batter their fries. But my favorite thing about Luna park is their milkshakes! So think and creamy and soooo yummy. I’ve had the mint chocolate chip and the hot fudge milkshake. Both awesome! They have tons of flavors and you can mix as well. The hot fudge milkshake comes with hot fudge around the rim of the shake so I like to take my fries and wipe the fudge off ahah it’s a guilty pleasure. You won’t leave here hungry, their portions are a good amount especially if you’re going to order the whole shabang(burger, fries and shake) And it’s right next to alki! Not the busy part of it but right when you exit off the bridge and take a left. It’s a nice place if you’re not willing to deal with the big crowds and parking that alki creates.

We came over from Seattle. This place is only acceptable if you can walk to it. If you have to drive here keep driving somewhere else. The breakfast food and service are both junk. The interior is grimy. We didn’t finish our food and the table across from us barely touched there’s. No to-go boxes needed. There is no way that this is a 4 star establishment. Unilocal quit trolling!

One of the best breakfast spots in West Seattle. Service is quick, a good thing for a place that usually has a line starting about 1030AM(or before) on weekdays. Outside area is very dog-friendly, and most customers seated there are with their four-legged friends. Water bowls for pooches provided upon request. Omelets and hobos(egg with hash browns mixed in) are tasty and fair-priced for the area. Biscuits are superb. No shame is getting an extra order. Parking can be tight. Walk there, if you can, or hope to find something on the opposite side of the street. Highly recommend.

I heard reviews on the Shakes and decided to try it out. I’m a huge fan of finding the Best Shakes possible. The more natural the better. I had an Espresso Shake and OMG!!! Seriously the best shake I’ve had in Washington State so far. It actually tastes like Espresso. It was super delicious and even had little Espresso grains! I haven’t had the food but as far as shakes go this place is the best so far thats why I’m giving 5 stars.

When you plan on spending all day at Alki, Luna Park Café is a great place to start. It’s right off the Harbor Ave exit and we didn’t have trouble finding parking(drive past it and there’s usually some street parking). Outdoor seating wasn’t available when I went, but the place is still pretty big inside. Their breakfast and milkshake are all on point! I got the carnivore pile and it was a ton of good food. Two over medium eggs over bacon, ham, sausage and hash browns, what can go wrong! It was a lot of food so I’d recommend sharing a pile or you probably won’t have room for a milkshake(you have to get a milkshake!). The milkshakes brought me to the yard and yes, it was better than yours! You get to mix and match any flavor and I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any combo. Service was really good here too. They were attentive, quick and friendly. My friend noticed something was missing on his bill and told our server, the server said it was«on the house» since my friend was«an honest person»! Overall, this place is great and will be coming back again and again.

Luna Park Café is a throwback to the 1950s in the best possible way. For me, this is one of the better diners in West Seattle. The walls have interesting, colorful knick knacks, with black and white pictures of the café back in the day. There’s also a wholesome charm to the place that reminds me of poodle skirts and the movie Grease. One drawback is the parking situation, especially when it’s busy during the weekend. There’s only a handful of spaces in their lot and there’s not many street parking options due to the Café’s proximity on a main road by the West Seattle bridge. Who said you can’t have breakfast for dinner? Not this restaurant — that’s who! They serve breakfast all day, every day from 7 am — 10 pm. For those in the mood for regular fare, they also have dinner options, such as burger and fries. When I was there last, I ordered the caloric eggs benedict for dinner for about $ 11.50. Though it was pricey compared to other diners, the dish was substantial and it tasted good. It wasn’t the best I’ve EVER had, but the eggs were poached with the right amount of oozy egg goodness and the hollandaise was smooth. For a couple of cents, you can also select a song to play on their juke box from decades ago. There’s nothing to complete your experience at Luna Park Café like an Elvis or James Brown song blasting in the background.
