The pleasure of friendships is amazing. I must admit coming to South Park to a funky Taveron was not on my bucket list of things to do, however when two friends make the same recommendation to grab a burger, I listen. Thanks you made my day. Loretta’s is an 5 star oasis establishment in the quagmire located in the South Park Neighborhood. Its about 2 blocks south of the South Park Bridge on the right side of the road. The décor reminds me of a dated bar from the 50’s with its wooden walls and seating. But the back patio for outdoor seating is spectacular. You can obviously enjoy yourself inside and out. The double cheeseburger & fries(my order) were simply wonderful. I’m not sure if they double cook there French Fries, but there some of the best in Seattle. My fries are long and crispy with no hint of grease, a quality I love. The double cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and seasoned appropriately. Fresh cheddar used a placed into nice sesame seed bun. You can add your own condiments that are located on the table. As for the rest of the menu, it’s limited but I can’t wait to try more. Loretta’s is a 1st class meal and it shows!

Described quite happily by a local brewery owner as «South Park’s most legendary dive bar.» I don’t know the legends, and I confess I don’t know the competition around here very well yet, either. But it certainly seems like the kind of place that would well earn that sobriquet. You park out back in a gravel lot, and you look for the crooked stovepipe poking out of the fenceline. That’s the back door. As of this writing, there’s so much road construction out front that that’s really the main entrance. But the front door squares up practically to the foot of the big new bridge leading to and from south Seattle. Inside, there’s a mix of main taproom with low ceilings and some formerly-exterior walls. Like a lot of classic dives, it’s a rabbit warren of little rooms. From the front, you walk into a dim, close space dominated by a big wall of liquor and a couple TVs turned to the game, then past dinky bathrooms, then past what was clearly an outside part of the building at some point. It’s decorated with life jackets, for some reason. The staff can move from the inside bar, behind this wall through the kitchen, to another bar outside. The outside’s the cool part. There’s a patio out back with a dozen tables. It’s as much a patchwork as the inside is – different construction materials, and down at the end there’s an indoor fireplace poking it’s chimney through the fence to the back parking lot. The patio is completely walled off with tall privacy fence, and has some roofing at one end. I have to admit that the way this place all runs together totally bedazzles me. The staff are nice, the usual suspects are available for drinks, and prices are good. They have a full menu of dive bar pub grub, and a devoted crew of regulars. Places like this are so cool, because you can’t snap your fingers and build a decades-long institution like this. It has to happen over the years by the attention of hundreds of customers and employees. Just looking at the edges of the wooden bar, worn round from decades of bellying up, tells you this place has to be legendary.

Tavern burger at $ 4.50. Wow. Need I say more? Big plus for me is one TV will have the Mariners on. Very attentive staff and good vibe inside or on the patio. Parking is easy to find close by our out back. Great find in South Park.

As a Tourist I watched a show on YouTube about this place. That is how I found out about it. That being said, I have to say, that this is the best place in Seattle to have really good food and beer for a fair price!!! The Steak Sandwich is great! The beers are great. The Service is friendly! I don’t wanna leave this place… a fuckin’ great experience! And I’m from Germany… we like to criticize!

Not very often I can say five stars but it was a great experience. Burgers were great, drinks were greats, not one fry left in the basket, ambiance perfect, great music = we’ll be back!

A nice hole-in-the-wall spot with a simple menu and great beers. The only thing missing was some music on the patio. Loretta’s was named after the owner’s late mother, who I can tell was a wonderful woman. Some of her personal items are displayed behind the bar. Beers on tap, classic drive through diner burger, breakfast til 2pm… all makings of an awesome place! I’d recommend giving it a shot if you’re in the South Park area.

Hands down my favorite burger in Seattle, it was a toss up a bit between this place and Zippys but I find I crave the Tavern Burger more… love those fluffy lil’ buns of burger joy. Patio is a great place to hang rain or shine.

I don’t know the name of the only waitress/bartender here tonight but she is phenomenal. We ordered the tavern burger and Irish nachos. Burger was a cross between McDonald’s and Dicks and absolutely delicious. Irish nachos were huge and yummy as well. Loved the service. Loved the atmosphere. Hated the woman behind me who covered her lamp in napkins– bitch check yourself.

Been coming here for years, because it’s cozy, no-frills, and the simple menu never disappoints.(Pork Cutlet sandwich is the best!) Love the bartenders, love the board games, miss the ping pong table.

This tavern is a neighborhood gem located in South Park, and I’m so glad to have discovered it. This is a 21+ spot with awesome food and chill people. My friend and I came here and sat at the bar, and everyone seemed to be locals as everyone knew the bartender and menu without looking at the menu. Our bartender was really nice and social with everyone. The TV played college football and they have many local drafts on tap. My friend and I ordered a Double Tavern, which is a double cheeseburger and chili fries. Everything was awesome. It took awhile to get, but if you’re not in a hurry then it’s no bother(since we were just hanging out over beers and watching the game). Plus, the food is worth the wait. It’s pub food, but it’s freaking delicious. Our burgers had that oozy melted cheese between both patties, and it reminded me of old school burgers that are packaged in paper, with not too big of patties, but are just right. It also had diced onion and mayo on it, which made it even better. The chili fries were loaded with heaps of beef and bean chili, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. And the fries were handcut. You can’t beat the prices either. Our double cheeseburger was seven bucks and a plate of chili fries, which is definitely shareable is about 9 bucks. I’ll definitely be back for whenever I need to get my fat on.

We were driving around and found this place. I had the chili and he had the patty melt. The food was good, the waitress was really nice, and the prices were reasonable. I’m really glad we found it. Oh…must be 21+ to enter…

I want to give this place 5 stars because it’s eclectic and cozy. It has a great outdoor patio with a fire pit and camper where you can sit inside and play games. However, the food was pretty disappointing. My burger was overlooked and the baked potato had mounds of bad cheese and sour cream. Definitely come here for drinks and the cool outdoor space, but not so much for the food.

I’m visiting from San Diego and heard about this spot on Vice Munchies on YouTube. The burgers and fries are on point. Some of the best that I’ve ever had will be a regular here whenever I come back to Seattle. Really fun spot to hang and eat.

I can’t believe I have never been to this place! It has everything I’ve ever wanted: a huge back patio with an airstream trailer filled with funky vintage furniture and a tv; a ping pong table(!!), an outdoor bar that extends from the bar inside and a back wall made to look and feel like you’re in a cabin! The folks who work there are sooo nice and so laid back. We enjoyed every encounter we had with them, not to mention every customer that walked in! We made at least 5 new friends and played ping pong ball with total strangers. I’ll definitely be back! P. S. the fish and chips were awesome and their lemonade was home made and was refreshing and not too sweet. It was especially lovely with a few shots of vodka in it :)

I love this place. Very chill and laid back. Low ceilings make it feel very quaint. Lots of wood everywhere. Reminds me of a place back home. Loretta’s is popular for their $ 4 Tavern burger, similar to a Dick’s Burger. Good beer selection with some rotating options. Their is an outside seating area in the back with its own entrance, a bar, a fireplace, and an Airstream trailer adorned with lounge chairs, side tables, lamps, and a lot of electrical outlets inside.

Nice dive sort of bar, food is limited in selection but all around good. The type of stuff you would expect at a bar but just a bit better. The beer tap selection always leave me wanting more. I haven’t checked on bottles or well drinks. But they seem to do it all. Its a very laid back atmosphere, super dark in the bar but has a great patio with an old air stream camper in the back in case you get clod and want to sit inside but outside too. Definitely has the regulars coming back for more.

A completely different atmosphere thats more of a road house, beer garden and dive bar mixed together. This is where you need to enjoy drinking Hamm’s beer or Rainer in the can. If you need a martini or a craft beer and enjoy high end dining, you should just skip by going to Loretta’s. As for me, this place brings out my inner Arkansas /Texas character out and getting down to some serious beer drinking and partying. In about 15 minutes, I met a new friend and found a couple of neighbors that live close to me. We all bonded and had a good olé time. As for food, had a burger that was small, but quite tasty in a the nice greasy way you get from a grilled burger. The fries were limp, tasted good, but was like eating potato limp noodles. Don’t come here for food, come here for some cheap beer, bring or find a group of friends and set in the beer garden while watching the jets landing at SeaTac. Great place.

This place has been my go to for a Burger and beer ever since it opened. Double tavern Burger, Fry and a delicious beverage from Georgetown brewing Company. Walking through the front door you’re greeted with a old school bar, Darkwood dim ligh stools at the bar booths on the wall outback you have an open roof Area awesome in summer with a wood fireplace and an airstream trailer. South Seattle at its best.
