I am so sad this truck is no longer near my job :( Simple, healthy and delicious quinoa bowl that hits the spot everytime. Very filling!

My boyfriend and I are gluten free and we absolutely love I heart My GFF. I Love My GFF offers some of the healthiest food in the neighborhood: sprouted bean and organic chicken. I frequent the one near where I live on 4th Ave. It is always consistent, and since I also sprout my beans at home, it is consistent with my diet. I am not saying you need to be on a diet to enjoy this place! It’s the kind of place that is good for anyone. They have vegetarian and vegan options as well, but it’s all pretty much the same thing. Service is quick and delightful. The two different sauces are both great. Best kept secret in Seattle! I haven’t found anything else like it!

My coworker kept telling me to try this place and that it was really good… and it was! I happen to have forgotten my lunch at home, so finally decided to try the place. I didn’t want to eat too bad, so I’m glad it was healthy. I ordered the chicken Fiesta Bowl in a 16 oz. It looked kind of small, but sure filled me up, and I didn’t feel guilty afterwards. It it was very flavorful. Definitely want to try the Sunshine Bowl next.

Best quinoa bowl around! Their bowls are packed with flavor, great for people of all different tastes, and are very filling! The ladies are super friendly. I wish I worked downtown just so I could eat here more often… I often crave it and will make a special trip to go visit them. My favorite is the Sunshine Bowl: quinoa, cannelini beans, feta, pumpkin seeds, special sauce, red pepper, and heavenly goodness. For those that said it’s pricey: I think it’s quite reasonable for the amount of food you get(I often have a hard time finishing a large bowl). Plus, the bowls are packed with awesome ingredients. Also, have you eaten anywhere in Seattle? You can’t get a good meal here for less than $ 10.

We lucked out that the I Love My GFF cart was within walking distance of our hotel today. My husband and I both had the Fiesta Bowl and it was excellent, and very filling. Next time, I will get the 12 oz bowl. I have Celiac Disease, so the fact that all their food is 100% GF was very important.

Good food, very expensive. The portions are ok but not amazing but the prices are crazy. Really no reason to have such steep prices for what you get. I liked it but I wouldn’t go back.

Great healthy lunch, with friendly fast service! This is a great option for us on «sandwich hill», great options for vegetarian, gluten free peeps. I was neither, but lately I guess I do fall into the gluten free crowd as I’ve cut these things out for health reasons. The food is yummy, both themed bowls offered and tasty and of course you can customize your own per your preference. The peeps running these carts are always friendly and upbeat. The prices are pretty good, considering where the location is and you’re paying for healthy fast food. I haven’t had their cookies, so can only review the bowls. Great option especially if you’re coming off a weekend from unhealthy eating, and your know that I Love My GFF is within walking distance.

I had seen this food stand at the Mercer Island farmers’ market, but I finally got to try it this past weekend. The food was SOGOOD that I think I am going to make my own quinoa bowl this week. I ordered a 12oz veggie fiesta bowl with cheese($ 7.50). The bowl had plenty of quinoa, black beans, avocado, red bell peppers, and green onions. Although I got a smaller size, it was quite filling. It was fun to sit down on the grass with the delicious food and some of my bestest friends on a beautiful sunny Sunday. If I still lived in WA, I would go back there more often!

I Love My GFF, I really do. This is pretty much the best lunch option around my work. No matter rain or shine their Fiesta Bowl is amazing. I am not gluten free, I just love the bowl. Both are amazing. a Fiesta and Sunshine, hello! With names like those what would you expect? Awesomeness. You can customize the bowl and you always get a smile. :) Consistently good food, great value for the price, I love it. Do not pass up their vegan coconut chocolate chip cookies — 3 for $ 5, you can be the office hero. Just keep them in the fridge and eat them cold or they fall apart.

I’m a red meat-loving, beer-drinking, fried-chicken eating red blooded American. Gluten free food? Get that hippy crap away from me. And then I tried it. Eat it. Eat it now. You won’t regret it, I promise. Absolutely delicious food.

For me, it was the 12oz Sunshine Bowl with chicken and cheese. I inhaled the whole thing because it was that good. At $ 8.50 and in South Lake Union, it is a healthy choice that I will absolutely choose again. Paying by card is easy with receipts(doubling as a loyalty card) being sent to your phone or email. It makes it easy to get the reward at the end. The wait was short and the food delicious. I will go back here again. Try it!

I have a minor addiction with this food cart’s food. A) There are only 2 choices of food they offer — both a slight variation on the other. While you have multiple options of what to add or remove from their Quinoa bowls, essentially there is only 1 choice to make when purchasing food under dire hunger. the fiesta or the sunshine?(When in doubt go fiesta) B) The quality and flavors are consistent. C) The price is fair, and there is a frequent buyer’s point card system that is AUTOMATIC with square(yayy not carrying around punch cards or having to open another app on your phone) D) You won’t miss the gluten.(I’m not vegan, gluten-free, or any other diet) –one star because depending on the time you get to their cart they can be out of certain type of beans, or toppings.

Tasty but pricey gluten-free bowls. Love the concept and organic ingredients, just be prepared for prices($ 7.50-$ 10 for 12 – 16 oz). 2nd time ordering the Fiesta bowl — quinoa with pumpkin seeds/cilantro/lime), black beans, red bell peppers, green onions, topped with avocado, Tillamook cheddar. Flavor is excellent and pepitas adds the perfect texture, but for whatever reason didn’t sit well with my tummy — might try without cheddar next time(a bit rich). Coconut gf cookie made w/almond flour wasn’t for me — syrupy sweet and pasty in texture… would pass.

Hey crowd, wedep it’s tony the tiger again, back here to earn my stripes. dis here’s a review for the food truck I LOVEMYGFF that’s near Amazon. dey do two things, and dey do them so well you bettah write ILOVEMYGFF on every blade of grass in yo hood. but they’re gentrifying errthang round this neighborhood. dis little piggie went to market, so dey kicking out everyone. So… there ain’t much grass to go around… unless you talmbout da grass i like… ;) anyway…dey serve quinoa here, with the pantheon of mixed flavors(you can check out dey menu… there are only two menu items… but it’s very customizable! Just ask!), most ingredients here are organic, even the gluten-free chicken, and ya pay $ 8 – 10 for dis 12 or 16 oz bowl of FLAVA-FLAV. WUT. ONLY12OZ? GTFO. I get mo than dat in my starbucks cup. now gimme my rewards, son. *EAT* asjfoawjfklsjkfljklsdfjwaef it’s really fresh! Taste is holy cocaine volcano biceps. *HITBOTTOMOFBOWL* Fuck, I’m full. 1 hour later: NOFOODCOMA, YAY! Pro-tip: Get the Fiesta Bowl — better sauce, AND you get your freakin avocado. nature’s butter baby. BUT substitute feta cheese for the cheddar that usually comes with the Fiesta Bowl(it’s free). And you’ll be rolling in dem hunneds Strong 4 outta 5

I have to admit, the term gluten-free brings to mind ‘alternative’ flours, dry-chewy breads, and strange textures. I know this isn’t logical, but it has kept me from trying this… until today. They’ve come around my work before and today offered samples of the quinoa(sprouted!) with their sauces. Both were good, but the sunshine sauce was my favorite — I’d actually expected to like the fiesta better — and the quinoa was very warm, soft, and comforting. I got the 12 oz sunshine bowl with chicken. I’m not really sure I needed the chicken, and I’m normally opposed to meatless meals. I was happily surprised that all the veggies were finely chopped. It really made for a great melding of textures and flavors, with the quinoa, chicken, veggies, sauce, feta, and pumpkin seeds. I also added their hot ‘sauce’ of jalapenos and coconut. Very fresh and interesting! I thought the 12 oz bowl was quite filling and substantial without being overwhelming, and I feel like I ate something delicious and healthy! There were a lot of clearly listed options, including chicken, tofu, or all vegetables, 12 or 16 oz, and able to do things like make it ‘paleo’ for $ 3.(I’ll ask next time what that means!).

My coworker and I decided to be adventurous and try out this food cart that had a huge line behind it. Since our team is on health cautious mode, this place looked perfect. It’s a small cart sitting outside our building so we said«Why not give a crack at it». ITDIDNOTDISAPPOINT. For starters I ordered the Fiesta bowl. There’s only two types of bowls that they have and I went with the more oddly but interesting one(if you count Hispanic flavors as interesting, which I obviously do). I mean how can you not when there are only two choices and the other one’s more plain. Any who this place was awesome! Pro Tip: Get the chicken. You won’t regret it. It was probably what made it that much better. Flavor was awesome and overall enjoyed my bowl. I also got the 16oz which is the biggest you can get. It wasn’t really that big though. Cons: I wish there was more food. I was skeptical about not being full, but surprisingly it was. Lots of protein and stuff to fill you up. Also this was kind of pricey if you compare it with alternative lunch items you can get elsewhere. Definitely a must try.

Im not vegan nor gluten free. But I checked this place out for lunch the other day. Pretty good! I would definitely go there again. Its a food stand/cart/thing in Westlake Park on certain days. They have 2 types of bowls, choose one, you can add chicken if you want too, add some other stuff if you want, or just get the bowl as is. I just got the sunshine bowl with chicken. I really enjoyed it, quite healthy lunch and wasnt heavy. Its about $ 10 for a 16oz bowl or $ 8 for a 12oz. Dont mind the street kids and other street people around you. Dont forget to waive at the Duck when they drive by. A recommend to check out for a healthy light lunch. Happy GFF’n!!!

i got the 16oz fiesta bowl, vegetarian. this little truck/cart was recommended by another Unilocaler/co-worker. $ 9.50 after the tip is really, really high for me personally, but it seems like the trend for any good lunch downtown is closer to double my normal benchmark. a friend once told me, «don’t worry so much about what you spend… you need to make more money.» It was an excellent bowl of happiness i just inhaled. They have siracha to add some fire. I don’t see the chipotle tobasco very often at restaurants, so i was happy to see it. I added a healthy amount of it to my bowl and it was the perfect addition. Love that addictive burn!

I have never ate-and-Yelped so rapidly before. I Love My GFF is the food truck(cart?) I have been waiting for! While I adore all of the indulgent food trucks that park outside of my office in Bellevue, my head seems to always outweigh my stomach. I am not GF by any means but I do enjoy eating a healthy, flavorful, pescatarian-friendly lunch. Honestly, it is REALLY hard to come by within walking distance. While I had the same initial worry of, «I know the ingredients but do I really have transparency of what is in here?», I quickly realized that there was no concern. It is literally a bowl of vegetables, quinoa & sauce(which I actually think is relatively healthy). No hidden oils or butter. The decision between Sunshine & Fiesta is completely up to your taste buds. I tried a sample of both & can say that they were equally delicious. I just happened to be feeling some Mediterranean today. Now, I won’t say this is the most mindblowingly amazing food that has ever graced my palette, but for what it is(truly healthy food on the go), it is top notch. If this truck was outside my office every day, I would undoubtedly make multiple visits a week. It has more depth than your average salad(which probably costs more) but leaves you feeling equally great about your pre-summer body. Also, the owner is very friendly and more than happy to make any dietary accommodations. Oh, and if you check in from your phone, you can get a free homemade(gluten-free, obv) chocolate chip cookie. Completely worth it.

Seeking something delicious and healthy for lunch, I walked from work to Starbucks HQ’s where they were setup and in full swing. I ordered a Fiesta Bowl with chicken. To my surprise, I got a free cookie after checking in. Yay! The fiesta bowl has great flavors and the 12oz size is plentiful. I should have gotten the 16 oz to ensure leftovers. The quinoa’s texture is near perfect and balances the other textures in the bowl very well, especially with the crunch of the pepitas and buttery smoothness of the avocado. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. I probably could have done without the cheddar cheese. Didn’t have much value-add for me. Pepper jack, however, could be a winner! There’s some hot sauce that looked like jalapenos and coconut swimming in some thin vinegar/jalapeño juice. GETTHAT! It’s will add an extra oomph of flavor to your bowl. The cookie is delish! I speculate it has a ton of butter though. It crumbles FAST! Don’t try to pick up the whole thing and take a bite because you will get many crumbs and have to convince yourself you believe in the«5 second rule». I love they have an electronic version of a punch card if you pay via credit card. That’s so rad!
