This has become one of my favorite places to hangout on a Friday/​Saturday night. If you love dogs, there are always tons of them! It’s a fun, lively atmosphere to hangout with friends at a table or at the bar by myself. I think they make a great west coast style IPA, and recently I’ve really been liking the Coconut Stout. It’s rich, and a little sweet, and makes the perfect treat after I’ve had my fill of hops. They even have a rotating food truck, so you can get some variety in their menu on different nights of the week. Definitely recommend this spot to hang out! Cheers!

We hosted a party upstairs and had a fantastic experience! Every time we called with a question we spoke with incredibly nice staff. Great venue for informal events, and economical to bring your own food in. Great beer selection and customer service!

ROTATING FOOD TRUCKS. They have ROTATING food trucks. What a brilliant idea! I’m pushing my work to apply to be one of the food truck options at Hellbent, I’m pretty certain we’d do so well here.
Anyway, not the point. They have rotating food options, yes, but also a great beer selection. Rotating cider (they had a caramel cinnamon one a while back that was so freaking good). They’re also dog friendly, and so much fun on gameday.
The Jasmine Wheat has recently appeared at my local hangout in Fremont, Red Star Taco Bar, so good on ya, Hellbent! I love you, you’re so fantastic.

I was hesitant of the quality of the beer, at first, just because the growler fills are $ 10! (for their own beer), but I quickly realized they have some amazing stuff. The staff was super friendly and let me try everything I asked for, because I was filling 5 growlers for Thanksgiving.
I have yet to spend time there, the two times i went were to fill growlers, but they had a great atmosphere from what I saw. I hear they rotate food trucks, which is awesome. Only flaw was the parking, kind of a small lot, but besides that 4 stars!

Imagine walking into your friend’s new apartment: past the inviting patio, there’s gorgeous high ceilings, a couple of big couches for watching football on TV, modern light fixtures, a dog sleeping in the corner. And it smells like hops. AND there’s a food truck outside.
That’s pretty much what it feels like walking into Hellbent. Like you’re drinking beer in your house, but better, because there’s more room, it’s better-​decorated, and the beer is on draft. They have a selection of their own proprietary beers as well as guest taps, and pints run around 5 – 6 bucks, with the option for flights and schooners if that’s more your fancy. A rotating cast of food trucks (listed on their website) provides grub options should you get a bit peckish.
Also, they are super pet-​friendly, as evidenced by the six or so dogs that were quietly hanging out with their humans when I was there. Major props for a BYOP (bring your own pet) establishment!

Hellbent Brewery is exactly what our lake city community needs. Hellbent offers unique Pacific Northwest delicious brew options and a daily rotating food truck! Today’s food truck sells personal «pizza oven» roasted pizzas with options like Housemade Italian Sausage and Cayanne Carmelized Onions. Last time I visited, the food truck on site sold tender pulled pork sandwiches.
The brewery has a great outdoor seating area, with RESIDENT BREWERY GOLDEN LAB in tow! The owners are community minded and all around great people. I recommend visiting Hellbent to catch a Seahawks game!

Hellbent, I’m pretty much yours forever. Thank you for being born! Your beer is spectacular and your facility is seriously a labor of love and it shows. My husband and I have visited you multiple times in a 2 week period and are starting to feel like we need an intervention! We don’t even live near you!
What is it that brings us back? First and foremost, the staff… you guys are so damn nice. The rest in no particular order… rotating food trucks, HELLO?! Brilliant! We’ll never tire of your bar food menu! And who doesn’t love a food truck? Especially one that slings pot pies or grilled cheese sandwiches, good god. The brewery itself is really great! It’s clean, beautifully detailed and super comfy! Big tvs, couches, two floors, big tables for groups, outdoor seating, etc. Pinball, darts, pool, board games… always appreciated!
Looking around the room last night (a sea of loyal followers, that’s for sure!) I noticed something… everyone was happy. People were casually mingling, getting cozy on couches, sipping their delicious beers and relaxing. There is no dress code, no expectations. just a true gathering spot. Thank you for bringing a «public house» to the community and being the heartbeat of the neighborhood.
It is my hope that not only will you survive, but that you will thrive. You deserve it.

I come here with my husband when I’m playing the role of a «cool chick,» because TBH, this place is a total man cave disguised as a brewery. Big screens for watching sports, check. Beer, beer, and more beer, check. Pool table, check. Beat up (but relatively comfy) couches, check. Big dogs running around, check. Lumbersexuals, and your quintessential Pacific NW dad fashion, check, check, check. Ladies, don’t come here in your Sunday best expecting to be served a wine spritzer.
The brewery does not serve food. Instead, they have rotating food truck selection and it’s posted on their Facebook page.
This place is strictly about beer, duh, it’s a brewery. My husband likes the Whit, it’s a refreshing beer for a hot day. We also tried the Jasmine wheat and that was delicious at well. They do serve like four kinds of wine for $ 8 – 10 a glass.
All that being said, it’s a pretty cool place to hang out, kick back, drink some beer, on a lazy night. There’s a patio with some nice big seating for larger parties. And this place allows dogs both inside and outside (mind blown)!

Space was nice. Beer was good.
I am not a fan of places that hire food trucks, too trendy.
There are plenty of dogs in the place to knock your beers over as they walk by.

We love having Hellbent in our neighborhood because we’ve recently adopted a puppy and dogs are allowed both inside and outside. They also have plenty of TV screens which is perfect for football season. They not only have their own Hellbent brewing beer but they carry a few local beers as well on tap. They do not serve food but they have a rotating set of food trucks that park around back. This is a great place to go to watch games, meet with friends or just hang out with your four-​legged friend. A great addition to Lake City! I highly recommend you check this place out.
Ps. The only negative is parking… there is some but not a whole lot.

This place is wonderful, they have everything you could want in a brewery. A nice bar with an awesome overlook upstairs that has one billiards table, one darts game, and several other pinball/​shooting games.
Lots of couches, tables and a small stage for little performances. Everything is clean and brand new — the atmosphere overall is great with a lot of wrought iron and wood.
The beer is inexpensive and tastes good to me, though I’m no expert. You can have it in CO2 or nitro.

A great new brewery, tucked far up in the northeast of Seattle. There is a nice, roomy parking lot which still can get congested. There are some food vendors outside so you can grab a snack so you should be good there.
I got a couple different beers here. I got a Jasmine beer which was excellent as well as a very fine summer beer.
Steve got a nice, orange tasting wheat kind of beer which we enjoyed.
The service is top notch so no complaints there.
The inside of the brewery is sleek, polished and very roomy. There is an upstairs where you can go and a very fine patio with a misting machine up against the building. It might make some furniture wet but on a very hot day that mist feels great!

Great new brewery in Lake City. Love the vibe inside and their patio is insane, it could just do with some corn hole and it’d be perfect!
The service was good on the Sunday when we came in right after they opened for the day. They weren’t very friendly, except to their friends that came in, but not rude either.
The beer, yep it’s on point. The Jasmine Hefe was interesting, kinda floral, and really good. The stout delivered, and the IPA was the tops!
Definitely a must stop and hang out if you’re in the area, actually it’s worth a special trip too.

Great beer! They just opened so of course everyone is flocking en masse to the new drinking hole, so it’s quite busy.
They are dog friendly, which is a HUGE plus in my book. Love taking my pup out for a night at a pub with a cold one (for me, not for him).

Happy to see the rest of the local Unilocaler’s giving this place a 5-​star review. To me it deserves every one of those stars! Seeing that this gem opened up in my ‘hood, my wife and I came here with high hopes/​expectations and thankfully were not let down!
Let’s start with the venue. It’s huge, open, and decorated very well. There are an assortment of couches, tables, a large bar, several large TVs and an opening to an outdoor seating area for those sunny days. Upstairs, you’ll find more large TVs, couches, tables, a pool table, a few video games, and a stash of board games. The set-​up is fantastic. We came to watch the NBA finals game and while all of the TVs were playing it, only the upstairs had the audio for the TV. This works out great for those people who don’t care about the game.
The beer is great, of course. They had a few of their own selection and a great «guest» list as well. My two favorites were the «First Born IPA» and the «Olympic Hills Spring Ale.» I’m excited to see what other beers they’ll have over time. For food, they will have rotating food trucks which is a big plus in my book. You get a variety of options, but also supporting the local food scene. When I was there «Bees Knees Sausages» was the visiting food truck and they had a brat special that was soaked in the «First Born IPA». Yummy.
In conclusion, this place is the real deal. Local business, awesome venue, tasty beers, and great food trucks. I’ll absolutely be back!

Wow, this is a very impressive place already and they’ve only been open a couple weeks. Their soft opening was evidently quite a success, but we didn’t finally make it in here until their grand opening, which just happened Saturday night. It was completely packed.
I can’t remember what this building used to be; maybe it was vacant. But ladies and gentlemen, when they say to you now that it is a brewery, you will agree. It is every inch a watering hole and beer production facility at this point. Quite a sight.
This is a stretch of Lake City Way that is not really known for its reserved sophistication; in fact, every nice new business through here will help bring up the average. The two breweries now on LCW go a long way to bring families and nice people out on the town. The other brewery down the street welcomes kids, but I am 99% sure that Hellbent is 21+.
There’s a decent amount of parking outside, and around back. They’re clearly ADA-​compliant, with a long, low-​sloped ramp out front that looks like a new addition, and two prime spots up front turned over to chair users. Guess who parked in one of the chair-​user spots this past Saturday night? Somebody in a brand-​new BMW SUV that was withOUT a visible placard. Still, Hellbent deserves full credit for making the spaces available and adding the ramp. It’s a very polished and professional presentation right from the first impression you get outside.
In fact, before you even park, you can tell the place is serious. The building has been re-​sided and there’s a beautifully lit giant new sign facing the street. It’s almost like the type of sign a fine-​dining place would have put up years ago, with lots of small soft-​light bulbs outlining the silhouette of the sign.
Once you’re inside, it’s kind of hard to believe this place was ever anything else. There’s highboy and table seating here and there, and dogs are welcome. On one wall, there are huge overstuffed leather couches that look like they belong in a gentleman’s club. There’s a staircase to a mezzanine that overlooks the main room, and the bar faces everything at a 45-​degree angle. You get a nice variety of defined spaces that don’t take up a lot of area, and even when it’s crowded, people move easily around the building.
Behind the bar, there’s a big series of windows that showcase gigantic, gleaming, stainless steel tanks in the brewhouse. From the taproom and the brewhouse, big roll-​up doors lead out to a nice patio space carved out of the parking lot. The patio space has picnic tables, and often hosts a food truck. For their grand opening, they had a hot dog cart, which seemed oddly understated compared to all the fancy touches indoors, but that’s alright. They have scheduled some more-​ambitious food trucks already, so they are not messing around with their partnerships there at all.
It’s kind of hard to believe how nice this place already is inside. The flat screens everywhere, the nice couches, the custom-​made heavy barstools, the reclaimed timbers everywhere in the bar, taproom, and mezzanine, the gigantic brew system already in place. They even have murals decorating the backwalls and the staircase, and the tapline conduit has stencils and a potted plant on it. If it can be decorated or otherwise done up in here, it is decorated or done up.
Best of all, though, the staff are nice and the beer is good. The bartenders are mostly young, but they’re enthusiastic and right on point. I didn’t ask them any beer questions, so I don’t know how their beer training stacks up, but I’m sure it’s fine. They’ve opened this place with a very limited lineup – an IPA, a pale, a red, something else. There were about 10 guest taps pouring, virtually of them great beers, and most from great breweries. Very nice choices, and clearly they have the trust of their peers. They ought to – their brewmaster has been a pro in this area for two decades. The IPA had a ton of fresh, clear hop flavors, and it was flawless. The pale could have used little more flavor but it was a well-​made beer. I’ll definitely be back to try everything else they make.

Very impressed with this new spot on the extensive Seattle brewery map. We tried the spring ale, red, and IPA and loved all of them. Food truck Mesob was stationed out back, so we tried the combo plate and felt satisfied! (Not our fave kind of food but not bad either.)
Being dog lovers it is great to see the relaxed attitude about furry friends here.
We’re thrilled Hellbent has decided to invest in Lake City and will definitely be return clientele!

We’ve been waiting for this spot to open and finally came down after they opened in May. We needed a great, trendy and nice spot and found it in HB!
Note — they are beer ONLY — no food or wine or bar. They do have food trucks that will post up so you don’t have to fret! Today was No Bones About It– a vegan food truck and everyone has ordered some grub. Happy crowd!
The ambiance is awesome. Dark, manly wood with metal, rebar, leather couches and bright old timey string lights. Big TVs, music, tons of tables and natural lighting. Patio area for good weather enjoyment. Very comfortable and trendy.
