Pretty decent food. Insultingly overpriced. Chilaquiles were just fine but lacking(in my opinion) several ingredients, so I ordered a side of guac(pretty bland), and it brought my $ 12 meal to $ 15. I know food is expensive in Seattle, but $ 40 for a bfast burrito, breakfast nachos and 1 cup of drip is ludicrous. And the bathrooms were freezing cold– kind of the deal breaker. The service however, was timely and friendly! (I just changed my star rating from 2 to 3 because 2 seemed a little too harsh after a little more thought. Food was actually pretty good ;)

I hate giving such a low star count, but the food was not good. I ordered a chicken burrito, and there was barely any chicken in the burrito and it was the kind scraped off the bottom of the pan. The rest of the burrito was pieces of lettuce, the size good for salads, and then sauce. What happened, to rice and beans? To repeat the Burrito was a large tortilla, extremely small pieces of chicken, large pieces of lettuce, and sauce and it cost $ 14 in Greenwood. The décor was hip and trendy, much nicer than I expected. The beer was cold, but over priced without a $¾ beer option to include everyone in the party. Most restaurants in Seattle charge a lot, but still have a $ 3 or $ 4 option on beer to not shun all patrons. It’s a good place to take a date for 1 – 2 drinks, but not for dinner, unless you want to eat when you get home. I am not planning on going back, and the online menu is a bit different from the one at the restaurant.

Nice, classy spot for good Mexican food. The menu has lots of different options beyond what you would find at a typical run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Happy hour prices are pretty good, the tacos are really meaty and tasty.

Love the brunch here. Drinks and food are amazing. I would recommend the Migas and the pork tacos. The Migas and Chilaquiles are huge portions but it’s absolutely delicious.

It’s been a long time since I have had such a perfect Mexican dish. Perfectly seasoned, absolutely delicious in every way. We ordered the chips and guacamole. The chips were very good, their house salsa is out of this world. Guac — no cheese next time. The chile relleno was very tasty, the pork tamale out of this world(the mole on it — holy moly, it was so good! I little heat that sneaks up on you afterward — but not too much), and one of us had the cod tacos. Again, delicious. I took away a star because it was so loud in there we couldn’t carry on a conversation without shouting at the top of our lungs. Food perfection is only half of the equation in a nice meal out. Conversation is important. Maybe they should look into some way to cut the echo in the room. It’s really bad.

I really like this place. It’s a great addition to the hood. $ 5 margaritas at happy hour — and they’re refreshingly perfect! Their HH tacos are good competition to Yard. But what I like best is they’re full South American fusion menu. This isn’t a Mexican restaurant, it’s a wealth of cultural dishes from several countries. I haven’t enjoyed this style of cuisine since Hugo’s in Houston, TX. Great open, airy ambience. This is my 6th trip and have had consistently good service. Their brunch is divine — more than variations of huevos. Their brunch drink list is arguably the most unique in town.

Hecho is delicioso. Also, their staff are nice and location is very pretty. I think it’s where Carmelita used to be, but I could be confused. Anyway, it’s a nice sized spot. Their menu has«v» and«gf»(thank you Hecho!) and our waiter, Max, was pretty rad helping me out with non-dairy requests. Everything I got had really good flavor… and you can order the guacamole without bacon. Brussel Sprouts in salsa negra was a weird, intense experience. Try it if you like adventure.

Had the Mojave Desert drink with Rye and sweet liquers. I had never had rye before –taste like whisky. Services was fast and a little quirky… the for the fact that they have the drink of such names, makes me liking it.

I love this place! I have eaten here a few times and haven’t had anything bad. Margaritas are good, chips are obviously freshly made, guacamole is delicious and I’ve enjoyed every entrée I’ve had– they even serve lengua! The patio has a very good laid back romantic vibe with string lights and lots of foliage.

You know, this place is really good. I hesitated to check it out for a while because the reviews didn’t seem all that impressive. We have been three times now(brunch, dinner, and another dinner) and we thought it was really good — our friends agreed too. Our servers were knowledgable and attentive and it is really comfortable seating both outside and in. I definitely want to head back for a Bloody Mary and happy hour one day too.

My husband and I stopped for a bite during the Greenwood Car Show. The place has nice décor and seating. During our visit the menu was limited and there appeared to be only one waitress. The food was nicely prepared and fine. Nothing special. I will give them another try when they are less busy and have the full menu available.

I was so confused why this place only has 3 stars. Went here last night and literally have nothing to complain about. Food was insanely fast. The restaurant was a full house and it was a fun/vibrant atmosphere. Decorations were adorable. There is a patio outside that looked very cute too although we were sitting inside. Drinks selection is excellent. Staff was kind and quick. Chips were homemade and come with 3 kinds of salsa which I assumed also were homemade. I got fish tacos and was in no way disappointed. Very happy and would unquestionably go back again.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Came here with girlfriends for HH and was not disappointed. I had the Bartender Margarita with the Grand Marnier floater and it was delicious. I’m a pretty harsh critic when it comes to cocktails and I’m happy to say I will gladly spend $ 10 on a margarita here again, it was definitely worth the money. Had the guacamole with bacon for an app, it was good, but the homemade chips made it so much better! I split the Carne Asada and Fried Plantains with my friend and it was great. The meat had a bit of a kick to it, but was cooked well and the sides were very flavorful. The plantains are a must! If it wasn’t so far from my house I would be a regular, which it’s probably a good thing I live so far from it. Go here, heat and drink your heart out! At one point in the evening I thought I dropped my wedding ring through the cracks in the patio and hostess was nice enough to lend me a hanger to search for it, and I spent time lying on the patio floor looking through the cracks so the floor is nice and clean and the staff is super helpful. Luckily the ring fell into the cuff of my jeans and it wasn’t lost.

Took the family here for brunch and was very pleased. Many kids menus offer some Americanized version of the adult offerings, but not this place. The quality of the children’s menu was excellent; full of flavor and authentic(but smaller) versions of the adult menu. Very friendly staff and great environment. A little hidden gem on Phinney.

The vibe in this place is great! Cozy, artsy, eclectic surroundings… friendly, unpretentious servers… creative culinary creations… and a big ‘ol wall of tequila! This place is small, so come here early if you want a guaranteed table. There are TVs at the bar in the middle if you want to catch a game. I highly recommend the guacamole(bacon is optional)! Street parking only, but that’s Phinney for ‘ya…

Disappointing is generous. This restaurant is trying so hard to be trendy and pretty that they have paid no attention to the quality of the food. The meal started out with warm water, cold chips, bland ketchupy salsa and an $ 8.00 dollop of guacamole bizarrely accented with bacon and cotilla cheese. No lime. No salt. No cilantro. No flavor. The carne asada was served nearly raw, with cold rice, wilted greens and pureed(!) black beans. Worst. Meal. Ever. Staff were friendly and attentive, but this place completely sucks.

Bland times ten. My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner on a week night around 9p, and were glad to see that Hecho was still open — we had both wanted to try it. I’d seen the menu before and was excited to try their food — I LOVE Mexican. But when I perused the menu in more detail, it wasn’t that exciting. I ordered the quesadilla and a side of white beans and rice. Disappointment to the max. The quesadilla was so boring — I could have made it better at home. The beans/rice were under salted(no salt on the table either) and they lacked flavor. The beans were also a tad undercooked, so I gave up after a few bites. Our waitress was nice and the service was good, but it didn’t make up for lackluster food that I have no desire to eat again. One bright spot — my boyfriend liked his tamale. But when I said, «We don’t need to come back here again.» He didn’t argue.

Thanks once again to Dine Around Seattle I tried another new place. I didn’t think Guacamole could get any better. Hecho has added bacon to it!!! I thought I had died and gone to heaven! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm! Super cute and cozy. A new fave!

Trying to innovate Mexican or Southwestern food can be difficult. Often times, restaurants will just mix up the same old ingredients, throw it together slightly different and call it «new!» Hecho is different; it adds new ingredients as well as new processes or styles to different items to really make them new and improved. Guacamole = already pretty awesome. But add salted bacon and some light cotija and it gets better. Tacos arrabes = instead of spicing the tacos with salsa and jalapeños, baste and broil shredded pork or beef with a seemingly red-chili based sauce and ensure that it’s the meat that gives it a kick, not the added sauces. Margaritas are excellent as well, and you have your choice of over forty different tequilas to choose from… The best part at Hecho– the menu changes regularly with the seasons. So it’s always worth the trip to come back and try something new every so often…

I’m taking away a star since my first visit in April. Sadly, my 2 star review is generous at this point. But, I want to love this place. GAWD I want to love this place. I live 2 blocks away. It’s just so PRETTY. And everyone is so friendly. And, we *love* mexican food. And, margaritas. We love those too. And patios– and hecho has an *awesome* patio. One of the best on the ridge. But, jesus, it’s worse every time I come here. And, folks, we come here a lot. Because. 2 blocks away. Mexican. Margaritas. Hopeful. Always hopeful. It pretty much boils down to this: they put bacon(yes, bacon), and also cheese, in their guacamole. That’s all you need to know. Guacamole was fine as conceived. Pefect, even. Please keep your piggy, cheesy, hands off my guac. Ok? So, it starts with baconcheese guac– if you keep going, it only gets worse. So just stop at the baconcheese guac. If you insist on continuing– AVOIDTHEBURRITOATALLCOST. Sorry for the yelling. This is important. Trust me. Their meager veggie options range from the brussles sprouts, which are, pretty good but way over salted(something I thought I’d never say about anything ever) to gawdawful) to the burrito, which is just unspeakably awful(how do you fuck up a burrito? I have no idea. Just trust me). The tacos and plantains are in the middle and pretty«meh» but inoffensive.
