I confess, I had been hoping to get a sandwich as Paseo, but they were of course out of bread, so my friend suggested we come here instead. While it was a bit on the pricey side, the quality of food was terrific. I was actually surprised to see it so empty on a Friday night… is it a secret? I had lovely lamb kabobs with a mint marinade that was splendid, followed by a creamy and rich wild mushroom pasta to die for. Free flowing bread and lots of cheese to put on the pasta. Friendly servers, who were super kind about redoing my friends order after it arrived with nuts(allergies, she forgot to request none), and told her she had made the dish guy super happy. Quite yummy, with fun music playing in the background. I’d go here again.

The food is always scrumptious, but I’m not sure how I feela bout their renovations lately. They say they are ‘going back to their roots’ but it feels like they are blocking off more than half of the restaurant to reserve for large parties, etc. Also, they cut down the beautiful tree in the cozy courtyard. What’s up with that?

Like the previous reviewer said, this is the«hold-on-the-wall» kind of restaurant but we did enjoy the quiet dining experience away from downtown and the food. On the wall, there are paintings from the local artist they support. I believe they rotate on a monthly basis. We ordered Tortellini Gorgonzola and Pizza di Mare. The Tortellini is heavy but expected. Nothing spectacular here. Now, the pizza on the other hand, is GOODSTUFF. It’s thin crust with generous portion of prawns and calamari. Each slice has a huge shrimp and a calamari steak! It’s much much better than the ones you get from Pizza Huts or even some gourmet pizzeria in Los Angeles. There were 2 more tables when we were there and they all ordered the same pizza so go figure. For dessert, we had a strawberry-kiwi layer cake which is very light and a perfect end for the meal. We will definitely come back next time we are in Fremont.

It’s a quite little place with down to earth service and great food. The seafood salad was my favorite! They also have dinner specials where you get a salad, entrée and dessert for about $ 15, can’t go wrong there. Parking is somewhat limited, so walk if you can.

Though I passed this place by many many times without even realizing it was there, I’m so glad I found it! This is my new favorite comfort food destination. The food is fresh and local, and the service is friendly and prompt. The«Fresh Sheet» changes often to keep up with local produce. Loved the bruchetta, the grilled asparagus and the mushroom polenta lasagna!

I found this lil hidden away gem thanks to a friend. So, the exterior décor is deceiving, it doesn’t look like much of a restaurant. But once inside, you can see that’s it a fairly cozy lil joint with 2 dining rooms and some outdoor seating. And it’s usually busy all the time during peak hours. So, what’s the big deal? Great italian food at a reasonable price. This is one of those places where you look at the menu and can’t decide what to order cuz there’s too many good-looking choices. I tend to stay away from their pizzas but their pastas and salads are excellent. They’ve got a great house salad with candied walnuts and gorgonzola cheese in a vinegarette that’s really really frickin’ good. Pair that up with one of the many tasty pasta dishes and finish it off with some tiramisu and you’re good to go. You can request them to make your dish healthier too(less butter and fat). This place became our staple italian joint. I’d recommend giving it a shot.

The place is dodgy… hole in the wall. more holes. HOWEVER… The food — especially their salads are authentic and full of flavor. The pizza I ordered was ok — but a true Italian pizza is thin… what I think they did is put an American spin on it with to much cheese. Italian pizza is not covered 75% with cheese. The calamari though.delish. Either the one in the arabiatta sauce or deep fried. Oh and they have mango cheesecake… not so italian. but it’s too good to pass up. Oh and make sure your on their back about getting your food. We sat down — ordered — were given some bread — a family walked in — sat down and had their food faster than us. WTH!!!

This place is not amazing but the food is good and a great value. It has some really good dishes and I always enjoy them while eating but the impression leaves when I walk out the door.

I eat Gnocchi anytime I see it on the menu and without a doubt they have the best Gnocchi in Seattle. Its very light the way it should be! The spinach salad was good too, get the small the large is a mountain of leaves. :-)

They do amazing things with butternut squash. My lasagna, for example, or a friend’s risotto, both of which used the squash as the main flavor but didn’t overwhelm the dish. The spicy vegetable lasagna was of high quality, but failed to provoke a similar«wow».

The restaurant doesn’t look like it would be good — the sign looks like it’s for an auto repair shop and the décor is one step up from Denny’s. But the food is so good you’ll have a hard time trying not to finish the huge amounts they set in front of you. My roommate alerted me to the weekday diner special here and I can’t stop telling people about it. For $ 15, you get a salad that’s big enough to fill you by itself, one entrée, and best of all, homemade desserts you’ll make room for no matter how full you are. I’ve contemplated getting an extra one to take home. I’m not usually a fan of restaurant Italian food, but Fremont Classic is one of my favorites — more comfort food than special occasion though. Take your roommate instead of a date. FYI — the weekday special isn’t available for take-out. I tried.

I lived in Italy for a little while and this is the most authentic Italian pizza I’ve had in Seattle so far. The little place really does look more like an auto shop than an Italian place, but I’m over it. They have a patio and cozey indoor seating. They have really great happy hour deals on food. The food is yummy, cheap, and authentic… mmm…
