Prices are as high as competing gourmet burger places such as Uneeda, which uses painted hills pure beef. Not sure what these guys use, but I expect it’s slightly better than Wendy’s. Decent Fast-food burgers, sort of feels like in and out, good service and fairly quick. However the prices are out of scope for what they are offering, $ 9 burger with fries $ 3, and a shake came out to $ 17.73.

The Ballard Five Guys is sub-par compared to other Five Guys locations such as the ones in Northgate and Lynnwood. They occasionally get my order wrong, as in the contents of the burger don’t match what’s on my receipt(even though there are no other orders), and they don’t give as many fries as the other locations. Decent overall but the Ballard store is definitely not as good as most other Five Guys stores.

Best fast food burger I’ve had in any land. Made two visits in four days and it was probably the longest of my bus rides while in town. As a Burger lover however I found five guys of a high enough quality to justify the entire trip from Alaska. 5 stars cuz I can’t give it ten.

The cashier was really friendly and helpful with ordering as it was maybe my second time ever at five guys. The fry serving sizes are huge which would normally make me happy, but because the fries were really greasy and not crunchy, I wasn’t all that thrilled. They’re fried to a texture that’s not crunchy or soft. So odd. The burger was flavorful with all the fixings. Love the grilled onion and mushrooms and jalapeños. If I want quick burgers and fries though, I’d opt for McDonald’s

Standard five guys. Always good burgers and fries. All hot and made to order.

What I expect from all Five Guys, friendly service and great food. Got both here. I was also on my sons school band trip so we hit the pretty hard all at once and they kept up just fine and got the food out quick.

I was in a big hurry so I called in my order and told them I was just around the corner. I arrived 5 minutes later hoping to run in and pick up the order and go. When I got up to the register and paid for my order the guy turned around and told the fry cook«Laura is here, you can start cooking her fries. They had already finished my hamburger when I arrived and it was on the back counter. I asked why they hadn’t cooked the fries at the same time and he told me it was their policy not to cook the fries until the guest had arrived so that they always received hot fries. I pointed out that because I had called in my order I was penalized by their policy. Not only did I have to wait just as long for my order to cook as I would have if I didn’t call in, but my hamburger then would be cold when the fries were hot. That has got to be the most idiotic policy I have ever heard. Wow. Good food but total morons managing the place.

OK — the ingredients are good, but its such a MASS when you get it. Was really disappointed with the grilled-cheese sandwich.

If you’re a boa constrictor like me – and have one large meal a day and usually not longer after an intense 3-hour gym workout – and want a burger and fries to devour alone, either you order two Dick’s deluxe hamburgers and three orders of fries. Or you come here, I guess. The regular hamburger($ 6.89), with«all the way» condiments, was, at best, unremarkable: two small patties, with a mediocre un-grilled white-bread bun, all wrapped in foil. The foil makes the hamburger moist and soggy. At almost $ 14, without a drink, the above meal order seemed expensive, especially compared to what you could get at, for instance, a Burgermeister in San Francisco. The hamburgers there were much heartier, the buns grilled and not tasting like two pieces of white bread.

I haven’t been to Five Guys in a long time, so we decided to grab a quick and late lunch here. I had the little bacon cheeseburger, and got some cajun fries. I love their cajun fries. Delicious. The texture of the fries is just the way I like it – a little crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. And the cajun seasoning is on point. The burger is good, although I wouldn’t say there’s anything really special about it. I like my burger with everything, which includes mushrooms and grilled onions. And of course, free peanuts!

I don’t get it, why people think that this joint makes a good burger? It’s not even average, it’s actually pretty bad. The fries are always soggy. And the worst part is the cost, way over priced. So whoever gives these guys good reviews obviously have no clue what good is.

Had a burger and fries and they were the same as usual. I like the burgers and fries here, you get what you pay for at Five Guys. Not cheap but worth it!

Ugh, all the hype and for what. Overpriced burger. Decent, but not great. $ 5 for a «small» burger. Their regular burger is 2 patties just fyi, aka in’n’out’s double-double size at $ 6.50 or something like that. Their fries are not crispy at all. Bun totally gets soggy. The only kind of cool thing is you can add as many free toppings as you want– grilled mushrooms, grilled onions(not grilled very much), lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, ketchup, jalapeño peppers(not spicy at all), bbq sauce… etc. But, it doesn’t matter because they barely put any of those toppings in the burger anyway, so not much of a freebee anyway. Also, free peanuts– whoop. At the end of the day, I rather have In’ n’ out for $ 3 cheaper and better. Parking in the plaza. Next to Bartell’s and Walgreens. Pretty convenient though.

My husband and I always go to this location when we are too lazy to cook for ourselves or we just really want a decent burger. I have a weird diet(no dairy, no carbs, no sugar) so coming here is actually really easy. The menu is straight forward, easy to read, and if you will be taking extra time figuring out your order they have smaller menus on the counter with all the extras you can get so you can wait in back without holding up the line. I always get a bacon burger lettuce wrap, it’s iceberg lettuce which isn’t awesome but I’m not picky, with mustard, pickles, and hot sauce and a fountain drink. If I’m treating myself I’ll get whatever diet soda I feel that day, otherwise sparkling water or flavored water. There are a ton of options for sodas if you like them. We snack on some peanuts while we wait, which really isn’t long, and usually eat there. They wrap everything up in a to-go style brown bag but always double wrap my burger lettuce wrap cause ya know, lettuce doesn’t soak up things like grease or hot sauce, so it’s convenient to have some extra foil around. I enjoy the food here, and the employees always seem pretty chipper and on top of things. Will continue coming back!

Great burger, thick and juicy. Always fast. Their fries are nice and thick cut. Fried fresh. You can also get Cajun fries. I always get«everything without mushrooms» Everything is: Ketchup Mayo Grilled onions Lettuce Tomato Pickles Mustard Keep in mind, you have to specifically order a cheese burger, they do not all come with it.

They have free peanuts! If you like snacking on them. I was tempted to take a bagful of the home to make homemade peanut butter. Not the healthiest meal, but who said it was healthy. Ingredients are pretty fresh & the bun is pretty crispy. Their fries are good but lack flavor, so I recommend piling on the catsup. Small tip: a small fries could feed 2 people.(You’ve been warned). Good casual date spot if you don’t mind looking unattractive eating you burger ;D plus it’s near the movie theater!

3.9 stars Not sure what all the hype is about unless you live in a city full of run-of-the-mill, chain-only burger joints. Which Seattle is not restricted to. As burgers go, it’s a good burger, just not mind-blowingly so. I do like the way everything is set-up and the fact customers can add as many burger toppings they want without having to pay more. Plus, the fact that a medium fries is basically an XXL fries. The ambience has that definite generic 1950s strip mall burger joint appearance. Yet even with a seemingly decent budget, it’s apparent that no imagination or creativity went into the brand’s identity, marketing, design or interior architecture — It’s almost as if they settled on «Let’s just open the doors.» The result is some sort of homicidal circus clown operating room meets a SAW sequel. Sorry, but ambience is a part of the eating experience. And circus clowns freak the f*ck out of me. Is this the result of a lean start-up philosophy? Would I come back to Five Guys? Probably. I just wouldn’t go out of my way anytime in the near future.

This restaurant is the antithesis of stylish. Red and white checkered walls, bags of potatos, signs boasting about being best fries some year in some town, and crayon drawings on scratch paper adorn this brand new restaurant in Ballard. My husband and I were both very disappointed that they don’t have milk shakes. Verdit: Pass and go to Uneeda Burger or Red Mill instead so you can have a shake with your burger and fries!!!

I am excited to share that Ballard’s new Five Guys Burgers & Fries is now open! It is located at 15th Ave SW and SW Market Street in the massive Urbana Apartment Building next to Bartell Drugs. I am pleased because I no longer have to venture up to Northgate Mall when I get the craving for a brown bag stuffed to the rim with Idaho potato french fries or a massive burger. They offer all the same features as other Five Guys, including the soda fountain with unlimited options and mixes. Not to mention, the burgers are just as delicious. Staff is of course getting with the flow and new, but very friendly and enthusiastic. I will definitely be back.
