I’ve only been here once, but had a great experience. The only reason why I don’t give it 5 stars is because of how slow the service was. To be fair, if I lived in the neighborhood I would try it again and give them a chance to hit 5 stars — and if I am back adventuring in WS I’ll sure head over there! That being said, even though it was slow service, the woman behind the counter was incredibly nice, shockingly genuine, and she made a fantastic latte. We sat there for hours playing board games and card games and she didn’t even look at us funny, that’s pretty remarkable if you ask me. You should go.

Great local coffee house. They brew Stumptown Coffee. They are very big in the community, local art, community events, and they sponsor numerous amounts of local fundraisers. They open everyone with open arms. They have a Cardamom Late that is outstanding. I recommend this to every coffee drinker. Great job!

Why I haven’t written a review of this place before I don’t know… I’ve been there countless times now. This is the standard coffee shops would all follow. Great coffee, good pastries, amazing donuts from Mighty O, good quality quick breakfast items, plus a nice artful atmosphere. It doesn’t do it wrong that the baristas are all very nice too and always bright. This is a staple in White Center… wish there there were more places like it. Good place for kids too with their kid area in the back. One of my favorite cafes… period. Thanks for the great everything!

Nice little café between Highland Park and White Center serving Stumptown coffee. As an added bonus, there’s an area for the little ones to play with books & toys. Haven’t tried many of the food items, but nothing looks to be prepared in-house, so I wouldn’t have high expectations. Overall a great place to stop for a latte, with or without the kids.

I love this place! I always go in and pretty much get the same thing: the cardamom latte. It’s amazing, hot or cold! They also always have the sprinkled sugar cookies with fall/holiday themed designs. They had leaves in the fall and now have an assortment of shapes like holiday sweaters, snowmen, etc. Baristas are always really friendly as well. It is a good place for me to take my books to and study.

The fact that I don’t have to drive 30 min out to greenwood to enjoy a might-o donut is amazing and I love that they have different milks. It almost feels like I’m in Capitol Hill but little did you know it’s tucked away in white center. A cute little community. Stop by and enjoy.

Nice place to get some work done. An 8oz cardamom latte was 3.85, it was alright– I enjoyed trying something unique though i wish it were spicier. There were plenty of seats, outlets, wifi, nice open atmosphere, and a sweet spot for kids to play. Bathroom was clean and bright. The baristas were also very nice. Service was a bit slow but hopefully just because they were carefully handcrafting my drink! I would come back to do work here again.

Stopped here with the crew after a fantastic Zumba class with Renee at Fitness With a Purpose. We wanted to go out for coffee and it was right down the street. One of our friends had kids with us. BIG plus, kid friendly. Clean and inviting atmosphere. Will definitely go back and try the cardamon coffee. Had an interesting array of plants and descriptions around the walls. Great staff. This is for the White Center location.

I stopped here on my way to a meeting, and am I glad I did! I’m not familiar with Dubsea, but I guess there are a few around. I like the simple, postindustrial aesthetic(i little brighter than most places that try the look), and I think it meshes well with the mood they send out with their logo and selection. And that logo is nice! Grab a sticker while you’re in. I came in thinking it was like every other coffee shop, and told the barista so while I looked at the menu, which I expected to be «just like every other café.» Well, I got the Cardamom Latte, since I’d never heard of one, and was very satisfied with it in every way. The barista and I had a very pleasant conversation while he made the drink, and that just rounded out the experience. Oh, and there’s ample parking on the street! I hope I’m in the area again soon, because Dubsea is mad chill.

Service is always friendly, but slow to notice you and slow to pull shots. It should not take 5 minutes to make one latte. If the latte was amaxing I might be willing to wait, but that isn’t the case here. Since I used to work as a barista at a coffee shop that served Stumptown, I was excited to see they serve it. I’m amazed that they can take such a great coffee and make it so bland. Even a triple or quad shot latte tastes like plain milk. It’s also not the cheapest coffee shop in the area, especially considering you’re paying for glorified milk. Maybe I just don’t get there early enough, but pastry selection is either limited or non-existent.

Great atmosphere here, friendly staff, lots of tables and big windows to let in the light. I had a delicious cardamom latte and my son enjoyed a blueberry scone(not too sweet). Lots of easy street parking. I’ll definitely come here again and recommend it to others. I read about it on Parent Map as a place to enjoy coffee with little kids. My son enjoyed the toys. But about the toys and play area: great to have, and I appreciated it! But all the toys and books could use a little straightening up and cleaning. We were there at 10:30 am, and when I moved some toys to set up a train track for him, I also brushed away dust and crumbs that were not from that day. The play carpet really needs a vacuum, as does the upholstered bench seat(not the seat itself — more the part where the seat and back meet. Lots of crumbs, again clearly not from today.) A little attention to the play area would be appreciated by us moms of little ones. So, 4 stars, not 5. A great coffee shop, and I will return.

Cozy place in the neighborhood of White Center. This place is pretty spacious and even have a children area as well as free wifi if I saw correctly(correct me if I’m wrong) and friendly staffs. Drinks are tasty and cute coffee art and if paid by cash instead of card there is a discount.

I have no idea how many times I have been here but just realized I have never let the world know how I feel about this place. Their motto says it all: give Love get Love. No the coffee is not Starbucks serve 50 people an hour crap coffee fast. Each cup is handcrafted to perfection and absolutely worth waiting for. The baristas are genuine and want you to have the best experience and they will make you heaven In a cup. The food is good, it is all brought in but they chose their vendors carefully. The atmosphere is great, new local artists displaying their talent on the wallsevery month, industrial meets teal and even the kids are taken care off with a hangout area. Me, I am enjoying my little bit of heaven at an outside table, enjoying a warm sunny Sunday morning in Seattle, transporting me for a moment to a village in France and grateful for having Dubsea in my neighborhood

I picked up a drink and breakfast sandwich to go, though it took quite a while to get these items. I tried the Cardamom latte with soy and iced. It was good! I was a little hesitant because I don’t think I’ve ever had cardamom in a latte, though I occasionally drink chai and so I thought the spices would be ok? Anyway, it was good. My friend got a blended beverage, and that was very yummy too. Better than a Starbucks Frappuccino. The Pesto breakfast sandwich though wasn’t particularly interesting. Didn’t even notice the pesto that was in it or was it even in there? It wasn’t bad, but nothing I cared for, except that I needed some food. Would come back for the drinks!

Good latte, atmosphere, but sandwiches and«burritos» are«premade». from the taste and texture, im guessing frozen and defrosted also. aso, not much pastry selection at 1130am. ill give it an extra star for being dog friendly… a no-no for dining, but what the hell for an American café. its an ok place if youre in the area. note to California breakfast burrito afficionados, the vermont burrito is… very vermont. remember«Newhart?»

Good coffee and friendly staff. While Dubsea Coffee is a nice space with a light airy feeling, I prefer coffee shops to be a bit cozier and warmer, literally. It was freezing in there! Definitely driven towards families as half the shop is a children’s play area.

Cardomon Latte? Hemp milk? Say it ain’t so! Dubsea Coffee is definitely a nice community café with friendly baristas and a relaxed vibe. It has an almost hippy atmosphere, but with décor that is simple and somewhat modern at the same time. The high, elevated ceilings made the place look a lot bigger from the inside. It’s also very welcoming to families, as seen with the small kid’s play area in the back with some gently used, but loved children’s books. Tip of the day: Bring CASH if you can! They accept credit cards, but if you pay with cash, you get a 5% discount on your beverage purchase. For $ 3.95(not including tax), you can order an 8 oz cardomon latte. Like Goldie Locks to her bed, this cup size was just the right amount of cardomon coffee for me. I passed on the hemp milk this time, but may try it on my next visit. The cardomon was sweet, with a pungent, almost earthy and floral profile. It also had a subtle spice flavor with a faintly bitter aftertaste. I really enjoyed it because my favorite drinks usually have spice in it. However, the cardomon latte might not be for everyone since cardomon is an acquired taste. They do have a raspberry mocha that looks quite delicious(from pictures on Unilocal). Rasberry Mocha — You’re next on my list!

Forgot to mention a very important fact in my first review. They serve Stumptown coffee! If you’ve never tried it, you’re definitely missing out! And they make the perfect drinks with it!

Love the vibe and atmosphere here! The cutest coffee shop ever. Receive percentage off your purchase when paying by cash! My favorite is their raspberry mocha. The baristas are so talented with coffee art it’s hard to pass a cup without taking a photo. Highly recommend to those willing to support local coffee shops around coffee lovers city!
