So I tried this place for the first time and I got so disappointed. I’m from Peru and was excited to hear about this food truck I ordered chicharron and lomo saltado. They both looked great and smelled so good. However the flavor wasn’t there. Also I paid $ 20 but I don’t think it was worth it and the sandwich had not much meat. Also their sauces/creams that goes with the sandwich weren’t good. Anyhow for me, it was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it

They rushed the first batch of orders. I got the pork sandwich, and it was not only fatty, but also undercooked. I got food poisioning from this, so I WOULDNOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACE.

We tried the Lomo Saltado and the Inca Chicken sandwich. We can confidently say that these were some of the best sandwiches we’ve ever had. The meat was moist and tender, and bread toasted perfectly. A truly unique but delicious combination of flavors. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing, authentic, incredibly tasty sandwiches. This is way better than Paseo. Representing Peruvian cuisine amazingly in Seattle. Keep up the good work and the delicious food coming!

Goooood stuff! Finally checked these guys out after following them on Instagram for so long. I have envied their posts from the stoup patio. Stopped over at the Queen Anne farmers market. Split the chicirron sandwich and it was solid. Chose to have it with piñas rather than yams. Great seasoning, big portion, pronto service and they do square! Will be back for more soon!

Waited 30 minutes for veggie sandwich. I may or may not have gotten what I ordered. There were barely any ingredients and it takes like cardboard. * ½ Romaine leaf * ½ of a tomatoes slice * Plentiful sliced red onion * mayo * 2 deep fried yuca patties The photos /menu made it sound like there would be yams, grilled onions and Rocoto or Aji Amarillo sauce also. I will never know. I can only assume they got slammed before I got there, but I won’t try it again. I’m suppressing a lot of other color commentary.

This is the best veggie sandwich you will find in Seattle! I came here for the first one tonight and I definitely plan to come back :-) tastes just like the sandwiches in Peru!

Delicious. Had the Lomo Saltado in a taco format, so yummy. Mild sauce(aji amarillo) had a slight kick to it. Sooo good.

This is long overdue, but I had my first taste of Don Lucho’s on Oct. 23 at SPJ’s Headlines ‘n Deadlines trivia event at Hilliard’s. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’ve never had a Peruvian sandwich, but I ordered a steak sandwich that I devoured almost immediately after my first bite. Every part of it was insanely well flavored and I’m so glad my first experience with this cuisine was so positive. It was a manageable size — and I was pretty hungry by then — and satisfying.

Hands down the best sandwich spot in Seattle. I started going to Don Lucho’s right when the cart opened and the sandwiches have only gotten better every time I’ve come back(which has been a lot!) Love the family-oriented style of the menu and the service and really admire how they actually seem to care about preserving their family recipes and keep a mom ‘n pops style even though they keep getting busier and busier. Don’t think there’s another place to get authentic Peruvian sandwiches like this in Seattle — definitely try the pork and the brisket!

Had these sandwiches at Hilliard’s and they were phenomenal. Highly recommended. Good spice balance(I got mild), and loved the sauce. Carlo is also the nicest guy and will tell you stories about how he learned to cook Peruvian food. Just a great experience.

I’m so glad I came across Don Lucho’s while searching for Peruvian food on Unilocal… I’ve eaten here twice now and tried 4 of their sandwiches. They’re all great, I was specially surprised by their vegetarian option… It’s delicious! Carlo and Victor are very friendly, I enjoyed talking to them while waiting for the food. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Best sandwich ever!!! I hope this food truck starts working lunches downtown soon:) A completely unique, homey sandwich that has the best bread(macrina bakery), perfect amount of crunch and amazing sauce. Started following them on FB to catch their next location. Is it Friday yet?

My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado sandwich, I ended up eating half of it. I don’t usually like sandwiches, but this one was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I had never had Peruvian food before and the woman who took our order said all the sandwiches are really good. I believe her, but the Lomo is the one I’m still thinking about!(I’ve had it twice now) the guy who runs the truck is super nice too! This is my new favorite food truck!

I caught Don Luchos at Chuck’s Hop Shop over in Greenwood where there is always a rotation of food trucks. The price was a tad high for a sandwich – but man if that Peruvian brisket wasn’t everything they promised it would be, and it really went well with my beer. I will definitely try them again.
