Don Hurd Construction

We hired Don to take care of a few plumbing and electrical issues prior to listing our house. He is a super nice guy. He fixed everything quickly… no dilly dallying! Scheduling was easy and his rates are reasonable, too!

We called Don to do some fairly minor deck repairs. He came right out and took a look at the deck and quoted us a price that we were very happy with. Since it wasn’t a big job, he put us on his «small list» and it took a couple weeks for the work (which was completely fine).
Don’s work was great, and his final price was even better. He didn’t up charge materials at all.
I would highly recommend Don, and will definitely be calling on him again.

It was my luck to have met and chosen such a fine carpenter. Don removed, and installed new windows in our 1959 Rambler we just purchased. The end result was beautiful. Don is a talented, conscientious worker who I’d recommend to anyone.

Don is truly a pleasure to work with. I needed my porch decking repaired as it was rotting beneath my feet along with rebuilding the posts and railing. I talked with 6 different contractors before choosing Don and couldn’t be happier that I did! He came by to give me an estimate and I was very impressed with his knowledge and experience along with the fact that he didn’t patronize me or try to educate me on all things construction as I had several other contractors do. He listened to what I wanted, made some recommendations and provided a very reasonable estimate within a couple days. In less than a week, I had the porch that I wanted and it is beautiful! He is a fine craftsman and you can tell that he takes pride in his work and loves to use his talent and creativity to get a perfect end product. He built my posts and railing by hand from a picture. I left in the morning to him ripping off the porch deck and came home to lovely craftsman style framed posts and a completely new porch deck and railing! He was quick, efficient and worth every penny. He even accommodated my request to use a credit card for payment. I would use Don for any job that he is willing to take on for me!
