Small deli right next to the old Seattle PI building. Even tho there small they have pretty much anything you’ll want for breakfast or lunch. From teriyaki and salad bar to burgers and biscuits & gravy they have plenty to choose from. It’s well priced and large portions. They also have daily specials. I have the chicken bacon sandwich, chicken teriyaki with gyoza, breakfast sandwich, biscuits & gravy, and pastrami sandwich. All have been good! Definitely worth checking out if your work near by!

I’ve ate here about a half dozen times, and I’ve only got the chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki is pretty basic, nothing exciting, but its good, and it fills me up. That’s all I really ask for. I think its like $ 7.99 comes with white or brown rice and a small salad. The cashier is very friendly, and service is usually pretty fast.

Turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich hit the spot and cured my craving. Couple bucks for extra meat was totally worth it also. And the price was completely reasonable.

There is not one bad thing I can say about this place. It’s clean, the staff are friendly, and even though the food is nothing fancy, it’s pretty decent, filling, and pleasantly inexpensive. Their menu is diverse and they have pretty cool daily special options. I especially enjoy their taco salad, offered on Mondays and Wednesdays. Added bonus: they’re a family run business who take real pride in what they’re doing, so you can feel good knowing you’re supporting something worthwhile.

Although this place is nothing fancy, and maybe a little dull looking from the outside. The food and service is great. The woman at the register is very friendly! I haaave only tried the salad bar, but that’s been enough for me! Plenty of options and inexpensive, too. Also, the salad bar is by size, rather than weight, which is a nice perk!

I go to Deli Espresso about once a week because it’s very close to where I work. The place is generally clean, although nothing fancy, and they have a pretty big menu. Most of the food I’ve tried is fine – it’s not the best I’ve had, but it could definitely be worse. I will say that their bacon is really good. It’s always crispy. The biggest issue I have with this place(and the reason I give it 3 stars instead of 4), is that the tomatoes are really hit and miss. Some days they taste fresh and crisp like they should, but other days(the majority lately), they are really mushy and over-ripe. I’m not sure how they prep their tomatoes or if they never throw the old ones out, but it’s really dissapointing to bite into a super mushy BLT. It’s just not good. If this place could start using fresher tomatoes, or throw the old ones out, it’d be sooo much better in my book.

Deli Espresso needs more representation on Unilocal,so I am stepping up. The storefront is pretty anonymous, with a dingy white overhead sign featuring a red early 90s font. Inside it is equally basic, with a small seating area, but these should not be the basis for your decision to visit. After a long Seattle visit full of poor nutritional decisions, I had a salad bar and ½ sandwich combo for lunch that rang up for less than $ 7 and was exactly what I needed. I went with turkey on rye with American cheese, and the ingredients were all fresh. The salad bar needs a little bit of work to claim 5 stars, but I was in and out in a matter of minutes and couldn’t have asked for much else. Give it a shot if you are looking for cheap and fast.

Discovered this place about a month ago and find myself going back for the chicken brown/spicy chicken brown and love them both equally. I see a lot of people ordering the salad and sandwiches so I’m sure they are pretty tasty too! There might be a line but don’t be discouraged — they have a good system down, move quick and have the food ready to go with very little wait time.

One of the greatest delights of Unilocal is the rare occasion of getting to review a small, obscure restaurant. Okay, so maybe that’s not the fairest thing to call this place. But you’d think that a restaurant located in this part of Seattle would have more than just a few reviews, right? Well in any case, the headquarters of the company I work for is just right next to this place, although it’s usually closed by the time I get there because my shifts start at 5 pm and this place closes before 3. I got here early one day just because I see it closed all the time and the curiosity was killing me. I’m glad I made that decision! To reiterate, the store is in a bit of an odd location that might make it obscure despite being located in Queen Anne only about half a mile away from the Space Needle. It’s actually right next to Puget Sound, but perhaps the awkward and sharp confluence of Western Avenue and Elliott Avenue make this place inconvenient or difficult to access. It’s strange, though. I asked the guy behind the counter whether the location had anything to do with how hidden the restaurant seemed, and he said that the place actually gets pretty busy early in the day with people working at the nearby companies flocking to get lunch here; it’s just that most of them don’t bother to write Unilocal reviews for it afterward. Well, it’s a shame, because I’d like this place to get more attention. My favorite thing about this place is how unassuming it is. It’s not particularly fancy, and everything on the menu is under six dollars. It’s astonishing how I was able to get half a sandwich and a small salad for that much money. And that’s a full meal, folks. I was not expecting to be able to get such a filling lunch at that price. What a great deal. Of course, small privately-owned family businesses can set whatever prices they want, but I don’t know how these people are supposed to make money when they’re barely charging anything for so much food. Thankfully, they don’t skimp on quality in order to deliver fantastic food. The turkey with avocado and bacon half-sandwich I ordered was really well-prepared and delicious. It’s a half sandwich and not a full sandwich because I wanted to get a small salad included at the same price. I also could have gotten a large salad, but I’d rather keep my choices spread out for the purposes of reviewing. The salad bar is arranged basically like a buffet in that you take a box and grab whatever you want. Their variety is impressive considering the low price, and I wasn’t even able to cram a little bit of each thing in there because there was so much stuff. Finally, I came back to try their drinks. The mocha I ordered was like pretty much the same kind of thing you’d get at a normal café, except it was only $ 2.50. Pretty awesome! It was at this time that I chatted with the guy behind the counter. He told me that business wasn’t going badly, but it’s just not getting much attention on Unilocal for some reason. At any rate, I’m glad to chip in and give my review. Bottom line is that I’m very impressed with the modesty and low prices. Their food is also quite likable. It’s too bad that they only run from 7 am to 3 pm, because I’d like to see this restaurant open more often.

Deli espresso is a small mom and pop operation, with personality to boot. The people who work here take pride in what they do, and always greet you with a smile. The food is always fresh, and the portions are always generous. I love their salad bar, they charge by the box size instead of by weight which is a rare find. The salad bar is always fresh and has a lot of topping choices. I highly suggest topping your salad with their house dressing, it’s amazing. Hungry at breakfast? Get their breakfast burrito. Not only is it a huge burrito with a small price tag, but you can also choose what type of tortilla they use and the toppings inside. Vegetarian? No problem! They make the same amazing burrito with veggies instead of meat upon request. Added bonus? They panini press their breakfast burrito for that little extra touch.

Located on Elliot AVE close to the water front but separated by the train tracks so it’s not beach front accessible. One of the few places in this area to grab food it caters to most of the businesses in the area looking for a quick lunch. This Mom & Pop run deli offers up quite a variety of food for having a very small kitchen and everything is made to order. They offer soups, salad bar, sandwiches(hot & cold), teriyaki to name a few. The owners son works the register and has a very good memory. As I was standing in line and people were pouring through the door he remembered what they usually have and asks them if they want the same and quickly rings them up. Orders are taken, made and served in less than 10min so it’s always great when you’re in a rush to get to your next meeting. Food: The food is good and I usually go here when I’m in a rush. With that being said if I have more time for lunch I usually venture elsewhere hence the food being good and not great. Atmosphere: There is usually several available seats and if the seats are all full one usually opens quickly since people are here to grab a quick bite. You order at the register then grab you seat and soon enough your order is called. Very typical deli style eating establishment. Overall it’s a great place and I love to support the small locally owned spots so I’ll continue to come here.
