Great coffee that was marred by the unprofessionalism of the pierced«dude» working the counter. …I NEVER complain about things like this.

I used to avoid this place because the employees were so surly but I’ve seen a real, consistent turnaround over the past few months. Not sure if it’s new management or what but I’ll take it. The coffee is good(duh). The spinachy pastry doohickey thing they have is stellar hangover food. My only complaint is their bagel provider. Great selection but they all taste blah and previously frozen. Switching to a chewy water-boiled bagel would be a gamechanger.

I love their espresso blend! Not as complex as some others, but goes great in a cappuccino. I actually doubled back a half hour after my first one to get a second, plus a bag of fresh beans, a hot chocolate for my wife, and a lemon bar. The lemon bar was a very dense, buttery, and sweet snack. If I was local, this would be my morning stop!

Ordered the falafel salad for $ 10. I have what looks like the equivalent of two falafels. I say«looks like» because its form in no way resembles what you would expect from traditional balls of falafel. Veggies are fresh but pretty much uninspired. Lettuce, cukes, a couple strands of red onion. Pretty weak for a $ 10 salad. Skip it.

I always have the best experiences at all the Cherry Street locations but today stands out. I ordered my iced coffee and went to pay to discover I left my wallet at home, Lauren was kind of enough to say don’t worry it is already being made so if you can come back before we close and it’s not a problem. If we all had the humility and kindness like Lauren the world would be a different place. Thank you Lauren you actually made my day a little brighter.

I have frequented several Cherry Street Café’s in town, this location was horrible. The two girls working spe t nearly 10 minutes gossiping while I waited to have a $ 8 quiche microwaved. I was the only customer and the service was unacceptable.

I really love Cherry Street. I really do. During my first few months in Seattle I made a point to try as many coffee joints as I could other than Starbucks, and Cherry Street still stood out. This location is really hit or miss. Sometimes the employees are nice and want to have a chat, sometimes they’re snarky or just straight up don’t know what they’re doing. Decided to treat myself today and get one of those flavored iced teas. 10 minutes later this dude asks if I can wait 5 more minutes as he needed to brew the aforementioned tea. Well, by that time I was late for work and had paid $ 4 for a nonexistent tea. I just grabbed 2 of their Diet Cokes and walked out. Honestly I love their sandwiches and soups, their coffee is great, but judging by the reviews here and my experience today this location is best avoided. Make the trip to the Central District or Pioneer Square.

I almost gave this place one star after I got my coffee and was waiting on my sandwich. The iced coffee was super weak/watered down… More like coffee-flavored water. But their sausage, peppers, egg, and cheese pita wrap blew me away! Bottom line: coffee sucks, food was great.

I saw a sign out for this place the other day and their breakfast sandwiches looked soooo good. So obviously, I had to try it for myself. This Cherry Street location is inside a Medical & Dental building, so it’s kind of small and flows right into the main building but it’s not too bad. There’s plenty of seating, but it can get crowded when there’s a lot of people waiting for their food/drinks. I ended up getting a Black Mango iced tea and a Bacon, Egg, & Cheese pita, which came out to almost $ 10… Even Starbucks isn’t that expensive so I was like huh. Okay. The Black Mango iced tea is okay, once you add a little bit of sugar. If you don’t do that, you can’t really taste the mango. There’s just bitterness. My pita was actually pretty good, and it’s pretty big, but once I got to the bottom it was just soaked in grease… The employees are okay — the only one that I noticed that was genuinely nice was the girl who was preparing all the food. All of the other employees were very«I don’t care,» or rude. I’m glad I gave it a try, but I most likely won’t be back.

I work in the building. I was excited to see a coffee shop show up. I also frequent for sandwiches. My favorite sandwich is the fresh mozzarella, I cant decided if I like it on pita or ciabatta better. I’ve been drinking my coffee black lately due to decreasing sugar, but when I did drink the yummy sugary steamed milk drinks, they were always perfectly steamed. These baristas know how to steam the milk not just heat it up, and they always greet you with a smile.

Ordered and paid for two small drips. But, then the cashier discovered there was no drip coffee brewed. The barista got into a weird argument with me about caffeine content after I declined Americano’s as a substitute. I just wanted my drip coffee :( I went to Lladro instead :)

Cherry Street is a chain coffee shop in Seattle with at least 5 locations and fairly solid reviews but the downtown location has especially low ratings for some reason. 3 star average is an especially low rating for Seattle. They are a small shop in an office high rise that provides fairly quick turnaround coffee. Yet they also have a decent amount of indoor seating which is readily available since everyone orders to go. I do hate that every time I go it’s so cramped you barely have room to pick up your drink and a lid. * GIBRALTAR($ 3.50) — 4STARS: I was a fan of their Gibraltar and would definitely return to try their other special. If you order each of the 4 barista bar drinks(which are all order in only) the 5th is free — ask for the punch card. * ESPRESSOFLOAT($ 3.50) — 4STARS: This comes in a small glass cup — same as the Gibraltar. Slightly sweet milk espresso float. It was yummy but not as creamy and rich as the fiore I had at the Starbucks but still good. When you mix it the drink ends up being a little Luke warm because the sweet milk is cold. This place doesn’t pop up first if you search for coffee and its a shame — glad to have discovered this gem in downtown!

If coffee was to be compared to major sporting events, Cherry Street on 5th Ave is the Olympics where everyday the best in the biz gather to make coffee and egg sandwiches worthy of stock photography that turns your mouth into a slip and slide of saliva… Some of the star players in the game are: Sirus: Always stylish in his tight tees but don’t pin him as a pretty boy, he’s much more Michelle: don’t let that smile deceive you, she makes some mean brew and likes piano. Nick: the old testament advises to build your house upon stone, not sand. Nick is the rock Cherry Street stands sturdily upon(I’m not referring to his muscles) And that’s only touching on the all star roster that blurs the line between coffee and art at Cherry St, but don’t take my word for it…

I had been a stalwart supporter of Cherry Street coffee. Until my visit on April 1. I ordered my usual open faced bagel with cream cheese, tomato, red onion. You actually pay more for the open faced serving since it incorporates more cream cheese and tomato. Now comes the fun part. The food preparer brought me my bagel as a sandwich. I told her that I had ordered it as an open face. She then proceeded to argue with me that it was the same thing. That it was the same amount of cream cheese and tomato. I reiterated that that was not what I ordered. That I wanted it prepared as I ordered, open faced. Well, this did not bode well. As she left me in a huff, I told her to speak with Nick the manager to clarify the order since he had taken it from me. What ensued was a conversation between this food preparer and Nick that I could tell was her trying to convince him that the sandwich she had prepared was the same as an open face. Since I had already waited 10 minutes for the original order, and this was now becoming a blown out of proportion issue, I decided to cut my losses and never darken their doorway again. I simply walked out. And, it was a liberating feeling. I think the staff needs to remember that there are Starbucks right around the corner with staff that do not give you lip and challenge you. My review is aimed at this one particular employee, But that is enough to sour me on this location.

I have been to several of the coffee houses. I come here almost every morning for a bagel or a breakfast sandwich. Nice people, good food.

Most of the time I come here in the morning out of necessity and convenience. The Dilettante Mocha Café in my office building is a little too focused on the decadence and not the coffee, and I’m trying to turn away from Starbucks for my moments in caffeine-need. Next to Nordstrom’s e-bar, this is the closest shop I have. The people here are great(goodness knows they can latte-art like nobody’s business), and I love that they have a decent breakfast selection in the morning(breakfast sandwiches, bagels that they’ll heat up and prepare for you, plates, yogurt, random bakery items, etc.) but their coffee… is just so-so. At first I thought it might be what I was ordering or who was making my latte but with all of these variables changed, I’ve just come to the conclusion that their beans are a little bland and soft for my taste. This isn’t a cup that will slap you in the face, screaming. It’s a soothing, mellow, wake-up. Which is great for some people, just not for me.

I’ve been to many other Cherry Street locations and have always had a great experience, so what’s the deal with this place? I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, ordered a drink, and waited. While waiting, one of the two other customers in the store asked for a refund because she had been waiting so long for her drink that she now had to leave. One barista was spacing out, making a sandwich so slowly I thought she might actually be asleep. The other was trying to figure out how to refund the customer while saying«ooooooh, I saw the ticket for your drink but I didn’t know who it was for.» So… you just didn’t make it? Okay. Five minutes into this the customer waiting for her food is getting impatient, as both baristas are standing around(one staring at her phone, the other still spacing out at the sandwich toaster). Sandwich barista says«ooooooh, you wanted a wheat bagel? I made you a sandwich with wheat bread», and proceeds to remake the bagel so slowly I become convinced that that yes, she is asleep. The other barista is now leaning against the counter staring at her phone, and I have been waiting over 10 minutes for a drink that hasn’t been started. It isn’t until I am the only customer left waiting that the sandwich maker walks over and asks if I am waiting for something. She says«oooooooh, sorry, I didn’t know you were waiting for a drink» and finally makes my beverage. Other girl is still staring at her phone. Were they stoned? Why were they unable to keep track of even one customer at a time? Why would someone be standing at the counter of a café if they weren’t waiting for food or a drink? The world may never know. I still love Cherry Tree but this location is a pass for me.

Good coffee. Pretty good quiche. Not a sit-down type of place. There is a counter with five stools next to the register but this place is really a to-go joint. We wanted a table and were a bit disappointed. I you want something a bit heavier than Starbucks, you are good.
