Best Coffe in Seattle!!! Organic and Simple. I miss the girl who used to serve me everyday. Gyros are the standard. I like the new staff though they seem to be super busy now. See you every day!!!

Excellent coffe shop on 2nd avenue. The coffee tastes the best in the neighborhood fairly consistently and the barristers are super pleasant. I like that they offer day old pastries to save a few coins. Very consistent and friendly… and consistently friendly.

Their homemade humus is delish! I also love their coffee as well. They have a lot of homemade greek food which is good. Its also very convinent because i live in the building above it so if i wanted my coffee without having to change out of my pjs, i can come here.

Very disappointed at my last visit in September. Ordered Falafel sandwich, which was very poorly made, almost to the point of questioning whether it was old. I arrived about 1 hour before closing time, the staff person working there seemed a bit stressed. I don’t expect much for service given it’s a tiny place with just a few seats, but we waited a long time for the two sandwiches to be made(falafel and gyro). The Falafel sandwich was mushy and had no flavor, and was actually a little watery with the humus sauce together. The pita was not even warmed up. The gyro was basic but didn’t have much flavor. Very disappointing especially since at my last visit here 8 months ago, the sandwiches were really good. Sounded like management/staffing had been a problem in recent times, so not sure if this is why the food is not up to par. One positive is that when I ordered drip coffee, the staff was honest that the coffee was old, and she would make me a Café Americano instead at no extra charge. I appreciated the honesty and effort.

Very friendly service, very mediocre food. While visually I was impressed at the portion size, once I took a bite I was left so curious. How does something look so good taste so dull? The falafel sandwich(that others have said was good) was like mush. Good falafel should have a well pan-fried shell and give a bit of a crunch when you bite into it. It seemed like this falafel was barely cooked and just stuffed in the pita. The primary flavor of the hummus is the garbanzo beans… could use more garlic and lemon. The interesting thing is when I asked to hold the raw onions(what I’m used to on falafel), the employee said the owner doesn’t like them and they don’t have any… should have been my warning for the bland food. Husband ordered veggie platter and said the grape leaves tasted canned. The 4 star overall rating completely let me down and I left with a bad aftertaste.

Café Casbah has become my new go-to lunch spot in Belltown during the work week! Daily specials, fresh gyros & salads with cheerful baristas serving authentic macchiatos make for a perfect lunch break.

Excellent falafel in real Gyro bread. Great Tahini and the black olives are a welcome touch. Will be back!

Downgraded their star for their high priced coffee. Perhaps it was a mistake, but 4 dollars for a small flavored latte? Still a great option for a quick food, but for coffee I’ll go elsewhere. :(

Casbah proves that you can have middle of the road food and earn major points through customer service. The owner is one of the sweetest people you’ll meet in Seattle and has a bohemian way of talking that you’d expect out of a sunnier city. My falafel sandwich was decent, kind of soggy in the middle, but I would probably go back.

Yum to their coffee. I got the cinnamon slug, which is like a slightly crunchy cookie/brownie with sugar icing drizzle. Double yum. Will come back to try that four shot Americano during contract renewal week: O

Café Casbah is fine, good coffee. I have to sway from the popular opinion here and say that the falafel is just decent. Maybe I’ve just had it on off days, but I found the sandwich to be pretty bland, needs some salty feta or something, less lettuce perhaps, plenty of hot sauce(a nice addition that they offer, always can go for a spicier falafel), olives are a nice touch, I guess, but still, just lacking something, tastes dry, not savory like the falafel that I always hope for. Great coffee. Last time I went in for a hammerhead(shot in the dark), but instead of charging me the rate for that drink, the barista charged me for drip plus two shots(about a dollar more), not super pleased about that, but could have been a simple mistake. I used to go to Casbah pretty regularly, but I think I’ll stick to the coffee in the future and nix the dry falafel. Thanks for listening(this was a boring review, I know). How about this: «That zoo is way zooer than Woodland Park, that total shamofazoo!»(actually, I like Woodland Park Zoo, it’s awesome, this was just for joke sake, that«shamofazoo» sounds funny).

Went here 5 minutes ago. Awesome place. The guy is really nice and the food is fresh and well put together. Would eat their again. Its nice because I think this is one of the few middle eastern places that serves food quick and to go

Café Casbah makes an incredible double short latte. I know coffee in Seattle — vivace and stumptown are both solid espressos. But let’s face facts, the coffee at Casbah is light years beyond. Organic or small batch roast, whatever it is, this coffee’s delicious. Get Sandy to make your coffee and everything will work out super great. Also, this place bakes. Muffins and things are super good. Tucker makes tasty treats. Listen to me, I’m a doctor. Café Casbah is a frickin winner.

Popped in for a quick cup of coffee… A Hammerhead and a Vanilla Latte. Both were hands down deeelish… smooth with enough kick to pick me up after hitting a food induced coma after lunch. Less one star for the crabby barista behind the counter. Bummer. I made sure to walk past the franchise coffee shop to spend money here as I have always enjoyed the individuality and quirkiness of the mom and pop’s but she almost made me want to turn back around and head back for the green sign.

I was walking through Belltown on my way to a major coffee chain for an afternoon pick-me-up when I remembered little Café Casbah. Given the choice, I will always choose a little guy over a big lug. True in love, true in life. Actually, my beau is quite tall, if not a bit reedy. Oops, I digress. I love a sense of humor, and Casbah has one. They call two of their baked goods, «slugs» and«snails.» You can get a slug savory-style, ripe with cheese, salty olives and other goodies, under $ 2 and always freshly baked. Coffee drinks are well-made and the brewed isn’t a throwaway. Service is quick and efficient and the chickies that run it seem to care greatly about their business and in turn their customers. Did I mention baklava? Just go. I usually stop in on Tuesdays, save me a slug.

What a fine little Greek joint that I never know was around. I fully recommend if you’re in the need for a quick gyro and you’re wandering about in Belltown. Which, as it turns out, doesn’t have many«fast food ish» places. So go here! Stop for a coffee at Bedlam afterwards!

Hole in the wall, really really tasty falafel. You’d better eat some falafel here, or else your mouth will be sad.

They make a great cup of coffee, a perfect little Belltown oasis. But more importantly, there is falafel, falafel with spicy sauce, that when paired with a perfectly made americano, can erase any hangover. And said awesome falafel is only $ 5 on Fridays, falafel Fridays.

Full disclosure, I came and left Seattle as a complete tourist. Now that that’s out of the way, I can say they have damn good coffee here. Why the expletive? You know coffee is SOGOOD when Starbucks starts offering alcohol in the coffee capital of the U.S. Where else is there left to go? Hey, their Americano has FOURSHOTS in one serving. If you’re not from Seattle, maybe that’s a pretty big deal, bec/that’s like a caffeine quotient for three days. The fun thing about this place is that it has outdoor seating. But it’s not just outdoor seating; you also get a great view of the random goings-on of the scene across the street. There are a few kinda sketchy bars and restaurants. One of them is amazing! it even uses the word, victuals in its advertising. I love it is spelled, vittles. Regardless, the word reminds me of kitty chow, can’t get that association out of my head. But back to the coffee — it is so good — dark and rich and dense, extra cream please. Wait a minute, it was definitely the barista, a tall really skinny guy with a bunch of piercings. Par for the course? Anyway, Tuesday night, around 10ish, he’s there.

When I stopped by the Casbah, I was that one guy that came in half an hour before closing time and I ordered a chai tea and Casbah Cookie«for here» as opposed to «to go.» The barista was an extremely good sport. Ten minutes before closing she was really polite in reminding me of their hours of operation and told me to take my time. The Casbah cookie was extremely good. It had the perfect ratio of crunchiness to chewiness. For those unfamiliar — the Casbah cookie is a chocolate cookie with chunks of chocolate, nuts, and oats. So GOOD! The chai was alright — it could have been spicier. They have a computer you could rent — with a purchase of $ 5 or more, the first 30 minutes is free, otherwise you can buy time on the half-hour. I didn’t use it, but it looked like it would provide lots of wonderful entertainment when you enjoy your coffee and Casbah cookie. As a side note, I absolutely adored the music they were playing. I had my iPod going while I was reading my book, but I had to put it down when I heard Neil Young’s «Cowgirl in the Sand.» Then I had to put it down again for«Summer Breeze» by Seals and Croft. I wonder how often they play«Rock the Casbah» by The Clash. However, if it were up to me, I’d rock the Casbah Café all the time.
