I eat lunch here all the time. This is top quality food, not your average café. They just revised their menu so the offerings and pricing is very clear. They offer breakfast(I hear the French toast is amazing but haven’t tried it) as well. I am a big fan of the quinoa burger and their homemade chips and soups. My only wish is they’d bring back 2 weekly soup options to choose from rather than the current tomato/weekly special.

I come here more than I’d like to admit, but I love the healthy and affordable options they offer for breakfast and lunch. Very clearly I’m not the only one who feels this way because it’s ALWAYS busy, especially during the lunch hour. Some of my favorite entrees include the customizable breakfast burrito, veggie burger, and daily soups/salads. Additionally, the staff is friendly and the dining room is clean.

Really good spot for lunch, especially if you’re on the go or don’t have time to take a long lunch or breakfast. For breakfast there omelets and breakfast sandwiches are really good. You can customize them to your liking free of charge. I’ve heard there pizzas are really good for the price of $ 8 and are create your own with a lot of toppings. I’ve had there burger and chicken sandwich for lunch. Both come with tasty fries and are also pretty good. Definitely recommend if you work close by or looking for a new spot for on the go meals.

I go here quite often because it is walking distance from my office. They have been here a couple years now so they are definitely established. I have noticed multiple changes in management since it has been there. I feel like they try to get organized and seem to do a good job, but there have been SO many times that I get back to my office to something wrong with my order. Whether it be forgetting my fries or my dressing or having a burnt pizza. I now have to remember to check my order before I leave. Also the time it takes to get your food is long and sometimes ridiculously long that it takes my whole lunch break just to get my food. Although they have these issues the staff is very friendly and the food is good. Whenever there is something wrong they offer to fix it or give you a coupon for next time. I recommend ordering ahead by phone just to make sure it won’t make you late. Also their prices are pretty fair. A couple of my favorite items are the quinoa burger, if I am trying to be extra healthy you can ask them to put it on a bed of lettuce instead of a bun! and it comes with a side: fries, sweet potato fries, salad, or whatever pre-made side they have for the day. Another great option if you like variety is the lunch bag special. You get to choose a to go entrée, and choose a side, with a cookie/brownie, a drink, and chips! All for a pretty good deal. I will probably go back!

Was a regular customer, currently boycotting. Good: — Ingredients are pretty healthy — Great Quinoa burger(better than their meat option), and the best veggie burger I’ve come across. — People apparently like the pizzas — Weekly specials, so you don’t know what you’re gonna get walking in there. Medium: — Friendly people work there. — Sometimes the music is good. — I like the décor, and the rotating art, but who knows what goes on in that building and if it makes its way downstairs. :0 — Forget orders.(Moved this up from Bad because it’s fun to see the nerdrage). Bad: — Some staff are borderline __________. — 30+ minutes to get food at peak time. — 10 – 15 minutes to get food is typical other times. — They don’t know how to price things. While you’re waiting for your food, have a look. — Took off number of options on their menu last summer. — Still put out a seasonal sign in the winter–«Enjoying the weather?» When the rain is freezing and sideways.

This might sound a little off, but the thing that sticks out in my mind here is the Floors. They have the most beautiful floors in here. I did not have my phone with me, or I would of taken a photo. Each Restroom had a different floor as well, very nice. Well, enough of that. selections are good and simple, nice salads and everything looks nice and fresh. Lots of drinks to choose from. Nice simple items. It is very clean in here, when you come in from the street you go down as it is in the basement. But, it is so bright and clean you would never think so. It is only open during the day. More for the work day I suppose. I think it closes at 3pm

I’ve eaten here a couple of times… the food is ok, prices good, space is nice and open. Today though the service was so bad that I felt compelled to open a Unilocal account and review it. Our order(two burgers) took 55 minutes… many others came and went and ours still wasn’t ready. When I eventually asked what was going on, they quickly gave us our order and mine was cold and the cheese was congealed and rubbery from sitting for so long. We were standing up by the counter waiting and chatting for the entire time and our number wasn’t called. I would have asked sooner… but my husband was ok with waiting, and so we did. People are always waiting here, so if you don’t have a lot of time for lunch, don’t come here.

I feel like a monster writing this review because the staff has been nothing short of kind — especially those at the register. They’re lovely to work with and talk to if you go in early in the morning for a smoothie or for a late afternoon snack. But unfortunately kindness alone isn’t enough to carry a business. Their food is pretty good, sometimes really good, and they offer a lot of healthier options than many of the other eateries around here… but their service once you’ve finished putting your order in is AWFUL. Do not come here between 11:30 and 1 with an empty stomach. On more than one occasion I’ve made the mistake of going in during the lunch rush, and I should know better by now because it’s always insanely busy after noon, but today really was the last straw for me. I got in right before the rush really started — there was no line to order and maybe a small handful of people waiting before me. And yet it took over 30 minutes for them to make my food. There is a basket for discarded order numbers that had maybe six numbers in the basket when I stood up front to wait, and the basket was literally overflowing with numbers by the time I left — many from customers who ordered after me and yet got served first. Now, let me preface this by saying that they have different chefs in charge of different areas. So, it would make sense that if I order a burger and the person behind me orders a sandwich, but there are three burgers and no sandwiches ahead of me, that sandwich person might get their order first. I get that. Somebody who orders a smoothie three orders after I order a full meal will get served first. That’s ok, and expected. But by the time the 30+ minutes passed that it took for them to get me my meal today, I watched two other customers who ordered the same thing as me AFTER me get their order first. Because apparently there is no method to the order in which they read their orders. On multiple occasions, I actually watched one of the chefs grab an order that the front counter just put in, then start working on it, while my order remained untouched at the«front» of the line. Like I said, the food can be good, sometimes even really good, but that doesn’t matter when your food is cold by the time you get it.

I don’t get the good reviews for Artemis. I work close by and the only truly positive thing about Artemis is it’s proximity to my office. There is always a huge lunch rush(which, I also don’t understand) so even though it’s very easy to get to, it can still take 25 – 35 minutes before your order is even ready. Quite often they run out of menu options. I’ve had this happen on several occasions. The staff is very friendly and believe me I love that — but I just can’t get past how really mediocre, and frankly, awful the food is. I’ve tried the Quinoa burger — which has gotten some really great reviews on here for whatever reason. It was not good. The flavor was more or less terrible. The texture was off, and it was pretty cold by the time I received it. I’ve had their pasta dishes. They were overloaded with grease from the butter or cheeses that were mixed in. Their flatbread pizza is nothing to write home about. Their sweet potato fries are disappointing and have zero flavor. They’re more like dried out sweet potato slices. My worst experience was probably their split pea soup. I have included a photo. The texture was like thick paste. I couldn’t eat it. Maybe I should put in an application and try to help out in the kitchen, because I honestly feel like maybe I could help the horrible situation that is Artemis. They are inexpensive, so that’s a perk, but I’d rather spend 10 or 15 at one of the food trucks and get something that actually tastes good! I swear I don’t write bad reviews, but it’s been driving me crazy that my coworkers continue to eat lunch at this establishment. I’m not picky, but I’ve really never had a good experience at Artemis and I wish I could like it. I think trying it out on 8 – 10 different occasions should solidly tell me that I just can’t win when it comes to lunch at Artemis.

I don’t know how I didn’t find out about this place sooner. It’s a much better alternative than the lunchroom cafeteria at my work building. This is practically across and down the street. The food is fresh and most are made-to-order. The portions are pretty large so I always end up taking leftovers home. My co-worker(s) and I try to share our meals when we can. The grass fed burger is a must! The custom personal sized pizza is larger than you think and is pretty good too. The price is very reasonable. The venue is clean. When it’s warm there are places to sit outdoors. A big plus they also have free water with cucumber, lemon or other fruits.

Nice place to get lunch. So far I haven’t been let down with the food here. The location is easy to walk to and it’s a good place to get out of the rain and to sit and eat lunch. There is ample space so you don’t feel crammed like some of the smaller cafes around. It’s walk up ordering and self service but everything(condiments, salt, pepper, etc) is easy to find. Their prices are good too and one of my favorites, the grass fed burger, is a good choice and affordable.

My instinct is to give this 1 Star based on my experience today, but I’ve had good experiences in the past, and I probably fell through the cracks. I ordered a chicken sandwich, and waited about 45 minutes before asking for a refund. I originally asked for it «For Here», then after about 30 minutes asked the cook to pack it «To Go». When I did this, I noticed the ticket was still present(meaning they hadn’t called my number yet). I had also heard several numbers called multiple times, which added to my frustration. After another 15 minutes, I got fed up and asked for a refund — which they provided. I’m sad that I can’t get the dollar back that I placed in the tip jar. If you’re in a hurry, or have an hour or less, this is not the place to grab lunch.

I really want to like this place. It’s in my neighborhood. Everyone working there was really nice. Decently priced items. They use locally sourced ingredients. The quality of the food seems great, but the flavor just isn’t there. I ordered pasta and salad with chicken and the chicken chunks were really dried out and flavorless. The weekly grill special — bratwurst was good. The salmon in the tacos were good, but the meat was the only edible part of the dish. Not worth revisiting for me. :(

I work by this Café and its wonderful! The prices are the best for the area if you work nearby. Especially, since you are getting fresh food made when you order. The line can be long during peak hours, but its worth the wait. The best part about this place are the people who work here. I’m allergic to a lot of things and I went in to order a smoothie and told the employee what I could and couldn’t have. The next time I showed up she remembered what I was allergic to and remembered who I was. To me, that’s amazing service especially for someone who has to order around their food allergies. Anyways, the food is great and so are the people!

5 stars for the quinoa burger, and the brownie/cookie samples at the register! The line can get long during lunch on weekdays, but the order takers and the cooks are efficient as can be. I love the quinoa burger so much, that I haven’t dared try anything else. There are plenty of healthy and delicious-sounding options on the menu, but my quinoa burgers remain consistently impressive. Café Artemis makes the best quinoa burger I’ve ever had. And no, it’s not a loofah.

What is «good food?» I think that organic, local, sustainable is the very definition of «good food!» So, five stars for good food! As a destination restaurant, the service is cafeteria style, very relaxed, and pleasant. The space has a wall of windows which makes it a quite cheerful place to meet up. I recommend that you make the trip — especially if you’re visiting the SAM Sculpture Garden or even Seattle Center — it’s a little bit of a walk, and it’s really worth it. And — it’s really pretty cheap, too!

Healthy food that tastes great. BOOM. Kept passing this café on my way to get coffee at Espresso Elegance so decided to give it a whirl for lunch. Read another Unilocal review to try the quinoa burger as a salad, so that’s what I ordered(I try to avoid bread). Definitely did not disappoint! First off, if you’re familiar with quinoa, you would imagine that the«burger» would be falling apart all over the place(as most vegetarian burgers do). Since this burger is also put together with sweet potatoes, artichoke, and yeast, it held together like an actual burger. I literally had to chop up with a fork to get it into pieces. This is great as a salad(mixed greens; I added avocado, jalapeños, peppers, and garlic). The chef let me try a piece of her pizza which was specially made by another cook and it was TASTY. Must ask for that pizza on a return visit!

Very reasonable prices, pretty good food, and friendly service. Today for lunch was their grain-fed burger served with a mountain of sweet-potato fries(rumor has it sweet-potato fries are healthier for you than normal fries). Pretty darn tasty all around. I also enjoyed the cucumber water. Although, the server behind the counter called it «spa-water» which kind of gave me the willies. Spa-Water could be anything from«served at a spa» water to «taken directly from a hot-tub» wather. Delicious, lightly flavored water, none-the-less, that I don’t believe any 80 year old men sat in for very long. The place is a little big for my local café tastes, but I was also there closer to the end of lunch time(around 230). I have no doubt it gets a bigger crowd around the noon time frame. Quite a few tables and spread out feel makes it give a slight impersonal touch. Service made up for it though. Very fast, happy, friendly folks working there! Street parking is non-existent. Had to park half my car in a «don’t park here or you’ll be sorry» spot. Entire lunch was spent looking out the window to make sure I wasn’t getting towed /ticketed.(sorry seattle police, ya missed your chance this time!). Overall experience… GOOD!

One of the better to places to eat in the area. The price seems to be pretty spot on. I had the grass fed beef burger with bacon and cheddar. It was pretty quick to come out and it was perfectly cooked. I’m planning on going back
