Tasty mocha at the original location. Most of the baked goods have been sold, no surprise at 10pm. Usually I’m at the 4th and Wall Belltown location, so this is a change of scenery. Surprised its not very packed it being the last weekend for SIFF next door, but a pair of loud older men and now two tables of women chatting. Me just Unilocaling. One laptop dweller. Another drawing. Love the various seating arrangements and levels of lighting. Great people watching with a Metro bus stop right out front. Again, another Seattle neighborhood undergoing more construction and growth. Glad this location continues to thrive since the Wallingford one closed.

I only drink drip coffee and espresso and I can vouch for both of them at Uptown Espresso. The baristas are nice and the establishment is dog-friendly.

Solid coffee, friendly staff, clean. Espresso was extracted well, not too bitter or sour. I would recommend this shop.

Decent espresso, and check out the little frog that the barista drew in my foam! Two things would really up the ante here. First: MUSIC. It was quite in there, with muffled conversations combined with the occasional traffic noise filling in. There were also a lot of flies just hanging around. I know that’s not as much in their control, but it was still something to note. Glad I came here, but I don’t think I’ll be a regular.

A solid coffee, very foamy. If you like cinnamon, the Viennese is good. Also got the Café Generra-it has fresh orange peel, not too sweet-yummy. Lots of table surfaces for spreading out books, laptops, etc. Great place to walk to after a play at the Seattle Repertory Theater or the ballet at McCaw Hall. Good atmosphere.

A long time ago, I used to love Uptown. I mean, that velvet foam! But the pastries are consistently mediocre, the recent overhaul hasn’t significantly improved the dingy interior, and they allow dogs in, which is both against health regulations and an abuse of a law meant to protect service animal owners from discrimination

Ordered a hot chocolate & it was really good. This wasn’t your water-tasting hot chocolate you get from Starbucks or from those powder packets. It tasted like quality chocolate. What I love most about this café is their velvet foam. I was very sad when I sipped up all the velvet foam.

Stopped here for a quick drink before walking up the giant hill of Queen Anne. The female barista was nice when getting our drinks, but the male behind the counter seemed very stand off-ish and not interested in helping customers. A few people came in after us and he didn’t bother to help her at all or greet anyone coming in. Seems a little rude when you have customers. The bathroom is tiny and you need a key to get in. It can be difficult to fit in there. Cold brew was good. Soy chai was delicious. Would I stop again? Eh, maybe if I’m in that specific area and want coffee at that exact moment.

Super nice people and quiet atmosphere. Blueberry coffee cake is delicious!!! We also had chai and drip coffee– refills were .85. :)

Super friendly professional baristas. Loved their pastries, especially the simply baked sweet roll(their take on a Hawaiian roll bit 100x better) and loved that they have a dark chocolate option for their mochas.

Next level greatness of the Café Mocha. with delicious velvet foam. Worth the wait on a rainy afternoon.

Let me just say this. I LOVE chai. I’ve had it at dozens of places in California. However, the chai at this cute little spot is the best I’ve ever had. The foam is perfect, the chai is delicious. The shoppe itself is very cute with ample space for coffee dates and/or studying/business catch ups. When I return to the area, I will definitely be making another stop here. Also, the customer service was on par. Great service.

Great service great coffee! Walked by this café a million times and finally went in. Charming place with ample seating. Diverse crowd from students to business professionals and always welcoming. Their coffee has so much flavor compared to others in the area.

It’s alright. It’s tucked away on queen ave, so I almost drove past it. Actually if you’re in the area just walk since there’s no parking. Definitely not the best coffee ever, but it’s certainly not the worst and its much better than the coffee offered at the nearby hotels if you happen to be staying there. It’s also conveniently located along a bus route. Small selection of tasty treats like muffins, coffee cakes, and cookies. The interior is big and seems to offer plenty of seating. Also you can see the space needle from here.

I’m not a coffee expert(I always get iced mocha, the least-coffee of all coffees) so if you have discerning coffee tastes, I can’t speak to that. But every drink I’ve ever had here was delicious, I’ve enjoyed every baked good(the scones especially), and the baristas are super friendly and kind of awesome. The sidewalk seating is usually available when I’m there, and it’s an awesome spot for my toddler to watch buses(and the construction next door) without his babbling disrupting the people who are trying to do work inside. Basically, I love this place. It’s even open early/late! What’s not to love?

Latte is good. And i like the paintings and chandelier in this café. The bad thing is there are many little bugs flying around inside, break the atmosphere a little bit.

Delicious drinks served by fun and personalable baristas. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Drinks were priced on par with other coffee shops. I tried a large mocha with velvet foam(steamed milk) and it had a good balance of espresso, milk, chocolate and velvet foam. The drinks were served in the typical paper cups. Overall a very good mocha.

Sadly, only a mere 3 star. I got a 12 oz latte, and it was close to a dry cappuccino. We ended up staying and enjoying our beverages in this quiet little café. It was pretty busy around 5:30pm, but the line moves slowly, so make sure you have time. The coffee didn’t have a great flavor, and the guy making the coffee wasn’t very friendly, probably won’t waste my money again.

Stopped here right before leaving after a fun vacation to come back to Arizona. It was right near our hotel, came here out of convenience. The barista was nice, she started making my chai, I forgot to tell her I wanted rice milk, and she gladly started over. My boyfriend got some sort of espresso drink. My drink was good, but my boyfriends drink tasted awful. Maybe just something we weren’t used to? Most likely just a matter of personal taste. One thing that kind of grossed me out was that there were little black bugs flying around the shop. Disgusting! So we sat in the closed down side of Uptown Espresso and it was nicer.
