Love it, pretty chill atmosphere. Yes they a bit pricier but not outside of what is expected in Seattle. Great wine pairings and helpful for pairing outside of what is there and plans to do so with a different meal in the future. Their happy hour has a handful of wines, but all are good for the season.

In a cute little neighborhood lies this wooden house. It’s like walking into a friend’s home for a wine and cheese day or night. It has a very homey and hipster vibe with such a fun spring/summer feel. We sat at the bar for their happy hour and ordered the charcuterie($ 14) and cheeseboard($ 10). Although there was a special rose event going on at the time, we opted for the custom wine flight($ 17-$ 20) instead because we did not want to drink too much. If you get a chance to come to one of the events, I would highly recommend as it’s a great deal and they have a great variety of selection. Everything is plated super cute and even the handwriting that labeled the wines were absolutely stunning. What sold me here was their service. The lady who helped us were incredibly sweet and catered to our every needs. She gave great recommendations and allowed us to experience wine, cheese, and charcuterie like never before.

Pretty much the best little bottle house on the planet! Wines from all over the planet and your backyard, an actual cheese monger who brings out your cheese plate and talks you through the selections, and the most adorable, relaxing environment one could ask for — outdoor and indoor seating for the win! The fact that this lovely wine bar is housed in a magnificent Madrona craftsman is, quite simply, the truffle salt on the mac n’ cheese. ITREALLYWORKS! I believe I say the same thing as Quinn R’s drinking companion whenever I’m here. «I want to live here.» It’s the truth. It’s not inexpensive, but it’s not unreasonable and you will definitely get perfect service and perfect pairings. I bought a great bottle of a Mouvedre blend and it was just over $ 20. Go if you have not — great date(or not!) spot. Can’t wait to go back… PS — their house made flat bread(olive oil with flaked salt and pepper) is a real game changer. It really should be something you witness once in your life…

Very nice neighborhood place, ambiance is great. Drinks are very well made and they really know their wine. Food was delicious. I had the baguette sandwich and found it to be tasty. Will try other dishes on my next visit.

This place was sooo cute! We had some delicious rose there and a great cheese monger board. The only complaint if have is that we ordered the halibut and when they served it to is it was completely raw in the middle. They immediately fixed it but then when we got it the flavor was completely bland… no salt no herbs.nothing. I will be beck because overall our experience was great.

Beautiful little spot with a nice, homey vibe. My fiancé and I had a wonderful evening out on their patio last night, which has a pretty view of the street and greenery surrounding it. I had a glass of chardonnay and we shared the mac and cheese bowl plus the ham sandwich. Mustard was on point, ham was thick and delicious. Both dishes were a little greasier than I’d like and the mac and cheese could’ve done with a lot less salt, but overall, really good. I wish I’d gotten our waiter’s name because he was a really nice guy, super attentive but not overbearing. It felt a lot like stopping by a friend’s house for drinks and just chilling on their patio. Just an overall great, welcoming feeling. Can’t wait to come back!

Cute little hipster pop up. Perfect for dates or hanging with the girls. We came at 6pm on Friday(happy hour is 3−6pm daily) so pretty busy time. Waited at the«Please wait to be seated» sign for about 10 – 15 min before the hostess came by to greet us. She was friendly but seemed to not want to take our name down. After repeatedly telling us there will be a 30 – 45 min wait for a table to open up and asking us to wait at the open seating area on 2 separate occasions, she finally offered to put our name on the list on the 3rd time she came around and restating that the wait will be at longer than she previously quoted. The wines were light and sweet. Both times we ordered wines they were out but the servers recommended a bottle of rosé and red wine from Italy based on our preferences. We also ordered a cheese board to go with the wine. Everything on the cheese board was amazing, but I could’ve done without the pickled veggies. We ordered a couple baguettes and would recommend the one with butter and honey.

This is one of my favorite places in all of Seattle. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. The wines are delicious and pair perfectly with the seasons. The food is great as well as the presentation of everything. The atmosphere is always great for a gathering of some close friends where you can laugh and talk for hours and not feel rushed. It almost has the comfort of being in your own home with friendly strangers. SO great. I truly LOVE this place.

What a lovely spot to sit outside and sip wine or cider. I am not a big wine drinker but I loved my cider flight. The pickled veggies were a nice snack and I’d like to try some of the more substantial food items(mac and cheese?!). Service was attentive but not snooty and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Nothing pretentious or corporate about this place and they have a neighborhood feel. Nice selection of both international and local wines.

Stopped by with my wife for a late dinner on our first night in Seattle. Very romantic atmosphere, average noise level, and tables set for 2 and 4. We sat inside but there is an outdoor patio that was closed the night we were there. Staff was fantastic and was able to recommend wines that matched our taste and our food. We ordered a 3oz signature cheese and charcuterie board that was hand-delivered and explained by one of the cheesemongers. It is a huge plus to me when someone takes the time to explain every part of the dish and what they think is remarkable about the dish. I was a little skeptical ordering it because I felt the price was a little high but it was fantastic and plenty of food. We finished the evening by sharing a vegetable plate that tasted fresh and light. Would recommend this place to anyone in the Madrona neighborhood

My friends and I waited 45 minutes for a table on a Thursday night. The place was packed so if you want to guarantee a shorter wait time, come earlier to reserve a table. Despite the long wait time, service was very very good. Right as we walked in, a server greeted us and checked up/updated us constantly on the status of the table we were going to be seated in. It seemed like it was located in a little house and there are many tables inside that can seat 2 – 5 people. There are also outside tables and a patio. You are able to buy bottles of wine and other wine accessories(gift bags, etc.) at the restaurant. I got the cheeseboard(choice of 3, 5 or 8oz of cheese). Cheeses are chosen based on your wine choice. Our server was very informative, friendly, and helpful because she described every cheese and meat on our plate. It was fun learning about the origin of the cheese and her own personal cheese stories! Overall, I had a very amazing experience here at Bottlehouse! :)

Wound up here for a mid-week dinner with a friend. It was cozy, intimate, and quiet, giving us the perfect setting to catch up. The servers weren’t too busy to stop and joke around. They were also highly knowledgeable about the menu, so they could give helpful advice. As the name might suggest, they have a great selection of drinks. My friend got a sparkling rose that she described as the best she had ever had. Personally, I love a good mocktail. The virgin Ginger Sparkler was fresh and fun, I’d recommend it. To start, we got the house made pickles. It came in a small bowl and it came with such a wide selection of foods. Pickled carrots, olives, mushroom, capers, and of course cucumbers. The mushrooms were so good we asked for more. Even though they said there weren’t many left, they still brought out another small bowl for us. We ordered two of the featured dishes. They were so good I am bummed they’ll be changing next month. The roasted eggplant seasonal toast topped with burrata was perfection. The haricot verts featured vegetable was exactly what I love in green beans. The garlic topping was good enough to eat on its own, and the tarragon added a little something special. One thing I love about my friend is that when we couldn’t decide which dessert to order, she opted to just get both. The blood orange and chocolate cake trifle was very interesting. Not sure if I’d order it again, but I was glad to try it. The pot de crème flavored with cinnamon was amazing. I would order that one again and again.

Great selection of wine, cheese, paired with a cozy ambiance and you get an absolute treat of a place to chill with friends and rainy Seattle winter evenings. Went here with my wife and 2 of our friends on a Sunday night and had a really great time. We ordered some wine, the baguette, the cheese plate and olives. The cheese plate had a good selection of different cheeses, we enjoyed how it was explained to us. The 3 cheeses we tried were very different from each other and each was delicious in itself. The cheeses were served with bread and pickled vegetables. The service at the place was on point and not intrusive. The ambiance was great and the place is neither too bright nor dark. For parking you have to rely on street parking but the neighborhood is a quaint and a pleasure to walk a little.

I booked the Bottlehouse patio for a rehearsal dinner for 25 guests on 8÷28÷15 and it was perfection. Tess, their curator, was incredibly easy to work with and we basically hashed everything out via email. Their rental rates, as well as food and beverage minimums were incredibly reasonable. All of my friends loved the venue, devoured the food and drank like fish — I received compliments all night on choosing such an adorable wine bar. If you’re looking for a chic place to hold your private event, look no further — you won’t regret it!

Wine and cheese flights! Bottlehouse was recommended to me by a friend and I’m really glad that I took her advice. Although, it would have been a more pleasant experience if I hadn’t visited during the ‘clothes stick to you’ heat wave. :-) 80+ degrees and no air conditioning can be a wee bit distracting, even for this cheese and wine lover. This wine bar is cozy and cute and appears to be located in what used to be a house. It has a nice outdoor patio area as well as tables inside. Upon entering, I saw a blackboard listing various wine flight options that were in addition to what’s on the menu. Speaking of the menu, oh my yum. I had only planned to come for a wine flight before dinner elsewhere. However, upon seeing a triple-cream cheese plate on the menu, I simply couldn’t resist. It was served with crackers, fresh cherries, blueberries, and a fruity jam. Totally worth spoiling my dinner appetite! My only regret is that I didn’t have time during this trip to go back to Bottlehouse to try additional items from their food menu as well as more good wines. It’ll definitely be on my list for my next visit to Seattle.

Wow what a great little hidden gem in Seattle, their staff are super friendly and very helpful in picking a great glass or bottle of wine. The quality of service and range of wines was quite good value and the staff are quite knowledgeable on their wines, they have a rotating Rose so each time you might get something different which is a nice idea. We had already eaten across the road at the Red Cow but a majority of the people drinking here were having atleast a small meal and the food did look good. Bottle House was a lovely place to spend the afternoon as they have a gorgeous outdoor area, worth a visit if you are in Seattle and want something different.

It really doesn’t get much better than this. Picture yourself alone in Seattle after a 10 hour work day. Where do you go? Bottle house of course. This is a far better rating than 5 stars. Henri, Michael, tess, cage, and Carson. Thank you for your generous hospitality. I ordered 2 official glasses of wine, but the staff is so passionate about what they do and sharing it, I ended up with probably more than my fair share. The sandwiches are also excellent, I was able to deconstruct mine into a mini charcuterie plate. The passion of the staff goes well beyond their jobs. The friendliness, effort, and hospitality was so appreciated. Usually I try to visit a new place in each city I travel to, but in this case I hope to be a regular.

Excellent gezellig wine bar next door to the also excellent High Spot Café in Madrona. Henri and his wife really appreciate wine, want people to enjoy themselves, and offer a rotating menu of wines on tap and by the bottle. Both of the Katy servers are very friendly, attentive, and know their wines– feel free to ask them for advice if you want to try something you’ve not had before. I’m partial to southern France wines, so we enjoyed a nice glass of Minervois on a recent visit. They also have a nice white wine from the Basque area of Spain now. I expect with the warmer weather, the patio will be rocking. This space essentially doubles the available seating, so the outdoor area will be a terrific place to hang on a nice day.
