Cute little place filled with regulars from the neighborhood! Outdoor area is nice but I prefer sitting at the bar and chatting with everyone. Good wine selection! They have food too but we just had happy hour apps.

I love this place! Upstairs is super cozy and intimate. It’s classy yet casual. Great food, great wine, great service. I’ve found some of my favorite wines here. I heard they have outdoor space too, so I look forward to checking that out in the summer.

I love this place. I came in having a bad day with my sister visiting from out of town. The kitchen was closed(11:40pm-12am time period) and we came in for their infamous charcuterie platter and the manager made and except and they opened the kitchen just for us. Top notch customer service and I would HIGHLYRECOMMENDED this place!!! You will not regret the ambience, service, food, and wine! Cheers, Alex

Old favoriteeeeeeeee! Been coming this place for a while while now. They changed up the upstairs lay out and such too. It might even had a different name. I can’t recall. But almost all my visits here have been upstairs for birthday parties! Including my own! My friends surprised me for my birthday here in 2015 :) it was so lovely! We drank champagne like it was going out of style all night. They were pretty good about everything even though our party was on a Tuesday night :) The wine list is extensive and may even be a little on the expensive side. But its not just the wine you are getting. I like the ambiance and the experiences here so far. It is often empty though. But we usually come for large parties so its good for us. Just make sure you book ahead! They also have some bites like cheese, meat and charcuterie plates for you to enjoy with your wine. Or champagne! Hopefully I can catch their happy hour one of these days!

Yummy! Two wines in tap! Love tap wines. Brussels sprouts and potatoes Bravas are a must! Upstairs with a(nonwood burner) fireplace. Love the fireplace. Service is on par. Very cozy! Prices are good, food is good, bread is a little tough. Will definitely come back. Great patio winter upstairs for winter.

Lets start this off with the good… GREAT atmosphere. Its a nice little place with SOMUCHPOTENTIAL. Sat outside on a warm August night, the bubbly fountain next door added some great ambiance. The staff seemed happy. The glass of Bordeaux my girlfriend ordered was awesome, as was my whisky. Very happy with the service even though it was a bit slow but we were there for a calm relaxing evening so it was perfect. Time for the bad. We ordered three things to share, Paella, the Artichoke, and Patatas Bravas. The patatas bravas were the best thing we had. That’s saying something.(its not hard to cook potatoes) The Paella SHOULDNOTBECALLEDPAELLA. I noticed on your Facebook page someone else had complained about it and had said you guys would change the name. The«paella» we received had two boiled scallops and a shrimp. The rice tasted like it was cooked in dishwater and there was NOSEASONING. PAELLA has SHELLFISH!!! Mussels and clams, calamari, shrimp, and SAFFRON. Scallops need to be SEARED, and SEASONTHEDAMNDISH. The«artichoke» was just labeled«Artichoke with balsamic cream.» It turned out to be a crostini with minced artichoke heart(taste like it was from a jar) and the balsamic was overpowering and it turned into balsamic and bread. DONOTORDERTHEPAELLAITSNOTPAELLAITSRICEWATERWITH A BOILEDSCALLOP. I’m willing to give the place another try if you had a chef that knew what he was doing. Its a cool little place with a TON of potential. I would come back for a drink and maybe the cheese(because they purchase it from out of house) but I wouldn’t eat here again.

Really quaint little wine place tucked underneath apartment complexes in Capitol Hill! Even though we only went to try the wine we enjoyed the quiet ambience of the place compared to some of the other places you can go for drinks on a weekend afternoon in the sun. The outdoor patio was a bit on the smaller side and had to dock a star off for the flies around the area that accompanied random whiffs of rank scents wafting in the area… But otherwise wonderful service and loved how peaceful it was. Will have to travel again to try their foods!

Went in for some random late night drinks and food. The chicken thigh was well seasoned and tasted yummy, with just enough spicy to make things interesting(but I like spicy, so I can see how it might be a bit too spicy for some). The paella was disappointing because it’s not paella… but I talked to the staff/owner and they said they’d change the name. It would have been a good«seafood risotto», but it wasn’t served in a paella dish, nor did it have a crispy bottom. The drinks were good, I just got a glass of wine, but it was smooth and they seemed to have a pretty good selection of cocktails. Staff was really friendly and service was pretty good. I’ll definitely be back! P. S. check out the signage out front, my favorite one so far was«Today’s soup: Whiskey».

This is a nice, intimate spot in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Hill. The interior was dim but cozy– especially the upstairs area, which had a bunch of booths and an area with couches. They have a variety of drinks on the menu to suit every wine-drinker or cocktail connoisseur. They also have a nice appetizer menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the spread included on the cheese plate– lots of cheeses to choose from. I definitely recommend it if you come hungry! Our servers were friendly and very attentive. This is a great place to meet with a few friends or have a date due to its romantic ambiance and nice selection of drinks.

Have had many pleasurable experiences at Poco. From book launches to Gpis mixers. And of course just stopping in to visit with friends and have a glass of wine. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. They have a rotating art show that changes once a month. This is especially interesting to me. I recommend this bar often, and look to visit more in the near future.

Best truffle mac and cheese you’ll ever eat. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Wine selection is fantastic. Food is delightful but is in tapas portion so order a couple things and share. I’ll absolutely be going back.

I have been coming here for years and think that I’ve experienced at least two ownership changes. The best part: despite the changes it remains one of the best wine bars in Seattle. Yes, they also serve kick ass cocktails, but this place will always be a wine bar in my heart. They’ve introduced me to local white wines, regional blends, and delicious international reds. Staff are not condescending if you have questions and the ambience is very personal. It’s a great place for a date or a intimate drink with your best friend. This place has nursed many of my breakups and celebrated many of my accomplishments. Cheers!

I’ve only been here a half dozen times and mostly just for drinks which have been very good. I did order the cheese plate one time — probably the best deal in town. There might have been 5 or so cheeses along with other little snacks on a plate that was prolly 16 inches long.

Back in June of 2010, I attended a friend’s birthday gathering here. It started as a small group but eventually 20 – 30 people showed up and we were spread out around the restaurant. I had been downstairs sipping on a drink for some time. All of the sudden a bartender says to me, «Is this your bill? Tipping 5%? There was like 30 of you guys.» Clearly several issues with his comments. 1. If you’re going to be unprofessional enough to call out someone for improper tipping, make sure you accuse the correct person. I still had an open tab at that point. 2. Although many different people came out for one individual’s birthday, we were not all seated nor served together. There is no need to attack me because of perceived association.

POCO is a quaint spot for some delicious wine in the Capitol Hill area. Modern industrial look and feel, great staff, and yummy food menu. NOTES: Outdoor seating is pleasent as inside is a bit small Parking can be iffy, but there is a paid garage across the street Staff is very knowledgeable about the wines and food Definitely try out the bacon wrapped figs… you will not be disappointed! Charcuterie/Cheese plate was delicious My Bordeaux was perfectly balanced and smooth I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to try out some various delicious wines and literally«wine down» from the day. Quite relaxing.

Good house wine, it was a syrah. Menu was so unimpressive we went elsewhere for dinner. They have a dog friendly patio, looks like a very small place. I might be back on a sunny day for another glass of wine, but won’t go for the food.

I’m happy to give Poco a solid 4-star rating, having visited both under it’s current management and a few times prior to the ownership flip. Although decidedly different in style and demeanour than it’s original incarnation, it still maintains a soft, understated sexiness that makes you feel quite relaxed once you step into the space. That isn’t to say that one couldn’t have a lively social affair here, but I think Poco tends to lend itself better to intimate, date night evenings(the second level bar is particularly nice for this type of thing). Of course, they’re also quite known for summer outdoor patio parties(and as we all know, outdoor patio space in our city is a rarity indeed, perhaps even more rare than the days where the weather cooperates enough to indulge in such spaces!) and also hosting various wineries from time to time(who doesn’t love a good tasting event?). What impresses me the most about Poco today though is the outstanding waitstaff — I vividly remember coming here for a quick pre-drink before hopping over to the Electric Tea Garden with a couple of girlfriends(one of which was in pretty bad shape due to a very recently broken heart), and while said girlfriend lamented over generous pours, I was trying to be the clear-minded sober one of the group(someone has to do it) and thus wasn’t originally planning to drink any alcohol. The bartender, noting my distressful situation as I tried to console my increasingly vocal, increasingly man-hating friend, brought over a free«very delicious but spirit light» cocktail on the house, so that I’d «have something to sip on in the meantime.» As the night progressed, he noticed me eyeballing the list of reds and insisted on bringing a few things for me to try, with«no pressure intended.» I was treated to four tastings, on the house, and, not wanting to be tacky, ended up ordering a particularly excellent glass of pinot noir that was eventually split up between the three of us. The point of the story is that I basically received a free wine tasting flight, and a free cocktail, all without even asking! I think that’s the moment Poco won me over. Aside from having a nicely curated list of wines, it’s worth noting that they also have pretty skilled bartenders as well. On a separate occasion I came here and ordered an Aviation that was executed perfectly(just a touch floral, and not too sweet, appropriately smokey-blue grey hued), so don’t shy away from this place just because you don’t think of yourself as a wino, as their cocktails can definitely hold their own.
