It was okay. Got there around 8pm and they had a bunch of the food containers up on top so you could barely see the person behind the counter, so who knows how long the cheeses and meats had been sitting out. Hard to understand some of them. Was really hot inside the store. Food was okay, not the best from other Subways I’ve been to.

If you really want just a very sub par relatively cheap sandwich, then this is a good business. The taste isn’t too bad. But naturally it’s like 90% bread 2% meat and 8% filler depending on your order. There is always a language barrier and the worst part is that the employees Try to do multiple things at once. They talk to each other, stare blankly at you while you have to repeat your self or correct something they’re doing. Average sandwich. Never good service. Like I said, if all you want is a basic sandwich and don’t care about it being done right or service. Come here. *note. There is one older, tall gentleman that says«have a great day thank you for coming in» every time. But I’ve only seen him a handful of times*.

For a subway it’s as good as it gets. I always hate going to subway and practically having to beg for extra veggies– this place makes your sandwich YOUR way and doesn’t try to jip you! Plus all with a smile!

I normally love this place but today I had a younger man make my sandwiches. First he forgot to put cheese on one of my sandwiches and put them both in the thing to toast them at the same time. Which they looked toasted but they didn’t at all taste like it. And lastly looking at my receipt the change was $ 3.07 he gave me $ 3 but not the $ 0.07!!! So not only did I get a bad sandwich I got short changed to!!! Will probably not be back and continue to tell people what a bad experience I had!!!

I had to write this review after seeing so many poor reviews about this subway. This is my favorite Subway in the Bay Area and I go to a lot of subways. The staff is friendly, courteous and make my sandwich how I like it every time.

The old man who works here is a real sweetheart. He’s very nice and personable. He remembers me, asks how my life is going, and really seems to care. He let me have some cookies for free too. The food quality is always great, and they are happy to fix anything that is wrong. I’ll be coming here again and again. This is the best subway I’ve been to.

For a family of five, eating in the restaurant they gave us only 4 napkins. Yes, I understand that they normally allocate 1 napkin /6″ sandwich, but I have never had trouble getting extra napkins when necessary at any Subway… until now. We had a «creamy sriracha» incident that was particularly messy. I asked the cashier(female wearing glasses) for extra napkins and she acted like I was asking for her firstborn child. She replied curtly, «I already gave you 2 napkins for each footlong and I can’t give you any more.» Yes, I understand, but clearly(displaying my sauce covered hands), I need more napkins. We are eating here in your restaurant and I’m asking for a few more napkins to keep our hands and, by extension, your table clean. She begrudgingly gave me ONE more napkin. I ended up having to get paper towels from the bathroom to use while eating. Shame on you Scotts Valley Subway!

Never had any problems here, always have been treated courteously, and have gotten more or less the exact sandwich I anticipated eating. Lately this has been one of my biggest pregnancy cravings, so I have been patronizing them quite a bit, and they usually have all the veggies & bread varieties.

I gave this Subway an extra star, just for the reliability of the food, even though they were out of the bread I wanted, it was still Subway quality, meaning, edible. The service was pretty bad. I was helped, and quickly, but the entire time, the counter person was talking to his friends(in Spanish) about what time he was going to get off and what were they doing? Apparently they did not know I understood them since they were using quite a bit of profanity… either that, or they just didn’t care. A *hi, how are you today* would have been nice, and I’m sorry, but, I shouldn’t be the only one saying *thank you* once the transaction was finished. I’ve worked for almost 20 years with the public, in retail jobs, in customer service related positions… surely subway can do better than this? Eh, forget it… Togo’s is across the street, their sandwiches are better, and the workers there actually treat me like a human being.

This is a terrific Subway, and I’ve eaten at many of them! The people are very friendly. Yesterday, they were very patient with a 9-year-old girl who was ordering for herself for the very first time. It was sweet to watch. The only negative comment I have is that it’s often difficult to hear what the servers are asking of the customers. I know it’s rough having to say the same thing repeatedly, but we really can’t hear you on our side of the Subway line :-)

Poor service on the last two visits here. One visit I ask for mayo and the guy tries to put lite on thinking I wouldnt notice. Then he tries to tell me lite and regular mayo tastes the same. Second visit today im soo lucky I get the same guy… I ask for swiss and he tries to switch it for provolone… then he gets upset I caught him doing that so he squishs my sandwhich flat like a panini. My other also gets the squish. To add more fun he tossed my sandwhiches still on the paper they use to make your sandwhiches into the subway packaging. Sooo yummy seeing all the food bits from other sandwiches getting mixed! Health, allergies and customer satisfaction arent a concern here becareful… If your brave enough too deal with this shop the worst one to deal with is the shaved head heavyset boy. When hes not ruining food hes normally found in the restroom txting while pretending too mop.

This location totally sucks. And not in a good way. I’ve visited it a few times, and have almost always had a bad experience. The problem is that it’s on the correct side of the street for me if I’m leaving home for either Santa Cruz or San Jose. I live in the San Lorenzo Valley, and this is on the way to Hwy-17. It’s tough to argue with a $ 5 footlong, but I’m thinking it’s no longer worth it. At one point in the past, there was a Subway Club Card. You’d get points for purchases, and at certain levels you’d get stuff like free food. This location chose not to participate. Not a huge deal, but annoying, considering the amount of marketing– tv, e-mail, and otherwise that brought me to the store. They did participate, and just when I had enough for something free, they told me that they didn’t. So I got my free stuff in San Jose. The points were accumulated in Scotts Valley, but the free stuff was from a different franchisee. What a bunch of jerks. This location also decided to no longer participate in the $ 5 footlong promotion a while ago, when the commercials were still in full swing. So I wandered in, and ended up paying more, assuming all the stores participated. I should have known to check based on my experience with the Club Card. So I went in there this past Sunday, 8÷26÷12, after a long absence, hoping things had changed. I made sure that they were honoring the $ 5 footlong deal. I ordered a Cold Cut Combo. The gal working asked if I wanted it toasted. I said no. At the register I told her I wanted it to go. She asked me for $ 5.40. I told her that the sign said $ 5, and that’s what I was going to pay. She told me that I forgot about tax. So I let her know that tax is only charged if the sandwich is hot, or consumed on the premesis, and that since mine was cold, and I wanted it to go, I wasn’t paying tax. She told me that the owners instructed them to always charge tax on everything. So– either the franchisee is lazy(won’t institute policies and procedures to deal with the Franchise Tax Board), cheap(won’t upgrade the register), or distrustful of customers and employees(everything will be rung up as cold and to-go.) Or– they are collecting tax on everything, and only forwarding a portion of it to the State, which is additional profits in their pockets. Whatever is actually going on, I’m going to notify the Board of Equalization, Better Business Bureau, Scotts Valley City council, and the Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce. I couldn’t believe that the employee actually argued with me about it! I look forward to extracting my pound of flesh.

First time I visited this location, and I will never visit again. They charged me for an extra sandwich and then were rude when I drove back to get my money. I asked for some kind of complimentary drink or a cookie or anything for wasting my time and gas, as I had to drive back after noticing the receipt, and they laughed and said no. They are downright stupid and its very apparent why they are working behind a counter at subway. The food, like any subway, is boring and somewhat bland. After not visiting subway for years, this trip has guaranteed I will never visit one again. Togos is very close and I suggest you go there. It’s in the k mart shoppng center across from Safeway.
