Awful. The band was horrible. Don’t waste your time. Dirtbag bartenders made time for nobody.

Boring. Bartender was bland. Felt unwanted. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because we did get a thank you from a manager/owner(maybe?) as we left.

This bar gets one star bc the bartender was nice. DJs are horrible. Doorman is an ass. What kind of business does not cater to the clientele that is in their establishment? You had 20 people that wanted to dance, pay money for drinks and enjoy themselves. Bad business!!!

Always a good time when we have stopped here to see my friend’s band. Nice bar tenders, quick service even when it is busy, and a great atmosphere! Always a good place to stop by and listen to music.

Good drinks, good service, cool atmosphere. Wish this place came up when I looked up «dive bars»…and that’s only because after working all day I consider a dive bar an open, ‘regular’ place with good drinks and a good atmosphere where it’s «towney» but you aren’t criticized for not socializing as you unwind. This is what I was looking for. Wish it was closer to my hotel! Def a good place for music lovers, as they have good rock tunes and some fun décor/live shows, etc. Also, has a good group of tatted younger men, but not sure how it is for the single crowd(8−10pmish) as everyone seems to be with a mate. :)

Usually a pretty busy bar with live music which I appreciate. The dance floor is big enough to boogie down with your partner or group of friends. But my favorite part, they have the Ms Pac Man & Galaga arcade table game!

Love the beer and bingo concept, music and atmosphere is cool, but… It would be awesome if you had a free popcorn machine!

Well it was a great night with my sister. She wanted to go there as she was in town visiting. The music was fun but«Tony» the bartender of apparently 14 years lacked the bartending skills this«local» gal would like to see in here home town bar.

My first time going to The Jinx was for a Savannah Sweet Tease burlesque show. This particular night, they were giving away free champagne, so great first impression! The vibe in this spot is so eclectic-funky-weird, but it’s the good kind of weird though. The tables were old pinball machine games like Mrs. Pac Man, the air conditioning vents were painted to look like the snake from Beetlejuice and I’m pretty sure there are a few skeletons in there. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. There’s a large stage and almost always a band playing at night. It’s a great place to get a cool drink and catch some live music. The only downside I see is that there is always a cover, and it’s usually not cheap. Come here when you specifically want to stay for a while and check out a band. Overall, I had a great time at this place. Won’t find anywhere else like it. Oh, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. I couldn’t help myself.

May be one of the coolest bars I’ve ever been too. Great décor and ambience. Good drink selection, for what it is. Don’t miss it if you like the alt scene

Libations, liquor, alcohol, full bar… they serve Tito’s vodka! What else? Music and Ohhhhh awesome bar staff! Tested them out 4 times this past weekend. NEVER disappointed! Décor is not your friend or meant to be pleasing to the eye(IMHO) however I felt like one of the«cool» kids when I entered and enjoyed my cocktailS! #dpursuitisreal #tellingyouwhatithink

We liked this place a lot. Walked by on a Saturday night during St. Patty’s weekend and the line was out the door. They have perhaps the best«advertisting» I’ve ever seen in a bar… a grand open double door that offers a perfect view of the stage. I knew I had to go back. So we came a little earlier on Sunday and were able to get two seats at the bar without much wait. Experienced two bands, the second with a Tom Waits-esque sound. Nice bartender. Decent beer selection. Interesting décor. Don’t know if I’ll ever find myself in Savannah again, but if I do, I’d totally go back!

This place sticks to a simple concept, a building, a bar, a band. It worked for us. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the music, and had a good time on our visit.

The Jinx rocks. Vinyl and other various rock/indie rock and metal things hangin all over the walls, and plenty of tattooed bartenders working to keep the dranks flowing all night. Large stage for bands, and plenty of open floor space for thrashing about during shows. Savannah is a wet town, so walking around with alcohol is permitted, and my favorite part about The Jink was they next to the door is a trash can as well as a plastic cup dispenser. It’s ingenious because one doesn’t have to interrupt a bartender to get a «to-go» cup. Very cool place.

The Jinx is my favorite Savannah hangout. I live in Brooklyn, NY and I never have as much fun here as when I go down to south and out to The Jinx. Halloween is the best time to go. Each year the bar is decorated as a different movie — this year it was Beetlejuice– and the decorations are unbeliveable! Make sure to catch a show by Savannah rock band Gam. I heard they only play once a year but it’s worth a trip to SAV just to see them play at The Jinx. Suzanne(I think is the owner) has done a fantastic job taking over the former Velvet Elvis.

I went by on a Thursday to hear some awesome DJing! They have a bar and a dance floor and a few tables. This has almost a gothic theme with some skulls and things but they didn’t over do it. They have a TON of bottled and canned beers but the thing I like the most is their selection of liquor drinks! The bartenders seem to know what they’re doing. The reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because they have you pay for your drinks right after you order as apposed to waiting until you leave or they’ll add gratuity automatically. Obviously I’m going to tip anyway but it’s just awkward. I would have been more open having a few more drinks if I didn’t have to pay multiple times. Great music, that’s my highlight!

Every year on New Year’s Eve, I try my darnedest to recreate the end-of-the-year energy achieved in the movie 200 Cigarettes. It’s all about meeting the most unusual characters, pop kissing random strangers, cheersing to past transgressions, singing at the top of your lungs, smoking a few cigarettes despite the fact that you don’t smoke cigarettes, and covering yourself in a pool of shimmery body glitter. That’s the kind of New Year’s experience that’s ready to set you straight into a whirlwind of 2012 trouble. My mate and I made our way into the Savannah night with a quiet understanding that we were in search of just this kind of special, unique, and unpredictable night. The swarms of people on the street pointed to the fact that we weren’t alone and after catching a hint of Prince, my date insisted we pay the meager $ 3 cover to enter The Jinx: a dive bar committed to setting our asses in motion. With Motorhead looking bartenders and a crowd as diverse as my record collection(Indian, black, gay, white, hipster, nerd, southern boys, you name it), it was perfect medley of group love. I felt like I was nowhere familiar and yet if I were to open a fun, funky dive bar, this would be pretty dead on. Our collective farewell to 2011 was a just one. Now where are my panties?
