Spend more time watching the kitchen instead of the parking lot! Seriously put out some Wicked Chicken only parking signs or give up on putting nasty cards on folks windshields. You used to be my sports bar hangout, but no more. Liked you better when you were Cluck U.

Being an SCU-lifer, I’ve seen this place go through many different names and identities. The only thing that has remained constant IMO is the delicious, spiciness of their chicken. I love wicked chicken because it’s got that nice sports bar feel, without the super grittiness of a dive-type sports bar. They serve great food, especially chicken tenders and chicken wings and have weekly specials were you can get $ 0.25 wings on Tuesdays!(I think …) The new take over for Wicked Chicken(formally UC, University Chicken, etc.) has also really done a good job in bringing the craft beer scene to life. I know this place looks suspiciously like Smoke Eaters … but they have a great selection of new and local beers. I just had a beer the other day that was so fresh it wasn’t even on untappd!(yes I’m a nerd like that …) Definitely enjoyed all the fun I’ve had here and hope this place sticks around for a long time to come, whatever name its called!

I took a break from this place because we had a few bad experiences in a row, but I decided to give it a try again. The food all tasted great, and fresh like it used to. The staff was super friendly and even took the time to come over and ask us how our food was. I’d give it 5 stars but we do have a couple of suggestions. — Chicken strip size is greatly reduced, we miss the old strips. — Veggie Chicken bites should be back on the menu — Prices seem a bit higher than comparable wing /strip joints

The wings are ok nothing special. The Chicken sandwich I had was horrible. The chicken patty was so thin it was almost a veggie sandwich. You get a more chicken McChicken at McDonalds.

Honey bbq sauce tastes like sweet fish sauce… Garlic fries are ridiculously garlicky. Jalapeño poppers = bomb. Chicken tenders were saved only because they were cooked well and moist. We just chose a bad sauce. Also pricey as hell for fried food.

My first time here. I saw the menu had a fried chicken sandwich called the Bronco. So I had to try it out. And it was just as expected perfect. The crispness was awesome and the chicken was juicy.

If I could, I’d give his place ZERO stars! I came here last week with some friends on our lunch break. After ordering, the cashier mentions that their system is down and cannot accept debit cards(should’ve said something about that before I ordered, –1). I didn’t have much cash on me so now I’m forced to use their ATM machine. If you know about ATM machines, you know that there is a fee, not only from your bank, but from the machine itself(such an inconvenience, –1). I asked the cashier if he would reimburse me for the fees, since I am forced to take cash out, and their machine is down. He said no(what kind of customer service is that? –1). I asked if there’s anything else he could do to compensate for having their machines down. He said no. DANG! Can a girl get at least a 10% discount? Nope! I was lucky enough to have one of my friends spot me on some cash, but the fact of the matter is, this place has horrible customer service. Oh, and food isn’t that great either. Wicked chicken is not somewhere I’d ever go again. It hasn’t been the same since Cluck U/University Chicken.

Went here in here to check out the UFC fight, not much on the food. Considering all the bad reviews, it’s sadly true, it’s just overpriced fried bland food. The fries that I got were overcooked and dry, not much flavor other than the amount of salt that went into them, terrible. I didn’t try out the tenders and wings since I’m a vegetarian but I heard they were bad also. My father in particular told me they tasted like the frozen ones you buy at a local grocery store and I strongly believe him. I think they just buy them wholesale and then just heat them up with a toaster oven in the back and slap on the sauce and bam! bon appetit. It’s sad to hear this considering I was a long time advocate of this location. Back in 2012 I used to hit this spot weekly, the tenders were good and the wings were even better(and cheaper) I guess people only come here for the beer /free entertainment, not the food. Won’t be coming back again, I would rather pay to watch the fight and make some grub @ my place. Food = 1⁄5 Staff didn’t greet us nor they wanted to attend us. They just stared at us till we made eye contact. The place was fairly clean but it didn’t make up for the food. I’m giving this place a 2⁄5 because of the free entertainment and free water.

It’s about $ 20 bucks for lunch these days and the wings have gotten much smaller since my last visit. You’re better off at Smoke Eaters, the price is about the same, but the wings are much larger.

Ordered a family meal of chicken tenders with fries. Tenders were real dry. Fries were soggy and they were bits of fries. Cluck you and smokers were way better. Wicked chicken you need to step it up.

Came in for a Quick bite tonight. I order the chicken tenders with the The hot and the medium hot sauce on the side, the chicken tenders had no kind of favor to them at all just a crispy coat on them. The guy at cash register was nice and helped me pick out the sauce and explained all the sauces. Don’t think I be back to try anything else here there way to many chicken places around

I was sick in bed and was craving grilled cheese and a veggie burger. I was stoked when I found this place that had both. I ordered 2 grilled cheeses, a veggie burger and curly fries through DoorDash. To the restaurant I requested ranch and ketchup on the side. When I got it and opened the boxes I saw that the grilled cheeses, that were $ 6.50 each, were just a slice of cheese on a hamburger bun and the cheese was barely melted. The veggie burger, at $ 10.95, was a dry bun with a dry cracked veggie patty that was obviously previously frozen, with a couple pieces of very wilted(inedible) lettuce on it. There was no sauce, pickles, tomato, onion… nothing, accept for a LOT of fries. And now the fries… They were the most bland fries I have probably ever had. There seemed to not even be a pinch of salt on them and were stale. And to top it all off, they did not send ANY ketchup, even though I requested it. So I basically had 3 dry hamburger buns, a hard dry frozen veggie patty and about a half pound of fries with no ketchup as my main food. The curly fries were decent after I seasoned them at home, and that is all I ended up eating. I emailed the business the night I received this order about a week ago and have not heard back, so that is why I have taken to Unilocal.I spent $ 40 of my hard earned money on a meal that I could’ve gotten for less than $ 5 at any crappy fast food place… and that would have tasted much better. Save your money.

Flavorless bland fried food. I ordered chicken tenders cause its a chicken place and there was no seasoning and the chicken was incredibly dry. The gap between the chicken tender and the fried breading was alarming and gross. French fries were even lacking charm. Honey mustard was soupy and watered down. I sent my food back and reordered a cheeseburger which seemed pretty fool proof. Wrong again. The beef patty was over done and dry and lacked flavor and seasoning all around. It was probably a frozen patty. The cheese was not melted on the patty and was hard and discolored. I work down the street from this place, it’s a shame… they could have had a new regular to feed.

Just had a colonoscopy and thought what can hurt my butt even more. Not disappointed — this is basic café style /sports bar with a nice shady outside wheee you can watch you came from outside I ordered 5 wings with they hottest sauce on side and some mash for and soda for $ 9.00 The girl gave me a look as if to say stupid idiot(I get that a lot) and said I will give you a free order of Ranch on the side. I thought my luck was in but apparently ranch is cooling sauce ;-) Thanks for tip of the sauce in the side. This is double ring burner(so it burns you twice) Chicken was tiny bit dry I was driving so no beers. I reckon great place for some mates to watch the game get blotted on the large arrange of beers as show off on how manly spicy they can go one the sauces Would come again

$ 0.69 wings on Tuesdays! Woohoo! Came late last night after the game. I tried the traditional and honey BBQ sauces! YUMMY! I like the honey BBQ sauce! I like that sweet type. Traditional is really good too for those of you who want a little kick but not spicy! Don’t forget to get the pineapple ice cream! It’s not like the pineapple dole whip at Disneyland. But it’ll do for now since I’m not at Disneyland!

Wicked chicken over smoke eaters any day! Their traditional sauce is really good, I prefer with bones because I feel like it has more flavor. Smoke eaters traditional sauce is more on the sweet side than wicked chickens. BUT this is just my opinion. The restaurant is sporty with a few TV’s. Not too big of a restaurant but their wings and fries are super good! The cashiers taking our orders are usually nice, never encountered a bad experience.

How they make super spicy wings so mouth wateringly good is beyond me. Every time I have their wings, I just want more. If you order too little, it’ll always feel like a teaser. I usually take the wings to go but it’s a cool atmosphere to just hang out with peeps you like.

Came on a Thursday night and was happy to see that they had a special: $ 1.40 tenders! Well, that excitement slowly decreased when my boyfriend told me the pieces were a LOT smaller than they usually are on regular days. Hmph. Sauces: We ordered a few sauces on the side: Mango Pepper, Ranch, Atomic, and Traditional. I couldn’t taste a huge difference between atomic and traditional, which makes me wonder if they ended up just giving us the same two sauces. The ranch — you could never go wrong. The Mango Pepper, it was more pepper and spicy, than mango. We set that one aside. Chicken Tenders: The chicken tenders(when not covered in sauce) were pretty bland, so I recommend getting them tossed in sauce or something! More than once, the chicken would come out of the battered skin when I would bite into them. Despite that, they were pretty crispy, which I appreciated. Garlic Fries: Delicious! But don’t expect garlic parmesan. It’s just straight up garlic with oil globbed on top of the fries. Pretty yummy and tasty. If you like garlic, these are a MUST. And the fries were crispy! From the top of the pile to the bottom. YUM! Hopefully my next visit will be better, and they’ll get the 5 stars.

Smoke Eaters. Cluck U, University of Chicken… Whatever they call themselves, it’s still great!!! Wicked Chicken. Ok?! This place is still all about the Chicken Tenders! When you place your order, ask for several hot sauces and share with your friends. Recently I met with one of my bros for lunch and we were both surprised with the selection of craft beer on tap! TV’s.Flat Screens everywhere! A great place to eat, drink and watch the game. Parking sucks! Good luck if you don’t leave with a ding or dent on your ride!
