tasty food, fried chicken wings are juicy. Bossam and Jokbal are authentic, big portion good for 3 – 4 ppl. I think it’s better(and cheaper) than Jang Su Jang’s same dish.

Authentic Korean food! Great food! Great service! Love this place. My friend and I came here for dinner and we shared a Gamja-tang and a Jokbal. Gamja Tang Tang — a magnificent stew pot of braised pork neck bones, vegetables and potato in an incredibly rich pork broth. Authentic !!! Jokbal — roasted pork feet — fatty, soft, star anise and sweetness, tender and delicious. I would come back soon.

If you want to try real Korean food in Korean bar style — how real Korean 20s 30s enjoy after work — come here. I loved it and this place reminded me of my college years in seoul — especially their songs from 90s kpop(which are really different from girl/big idol groups) Ps — its kinda hard to find the entrance.

Cozy atmosphere, feeling at home with good food and good friends. We enjoyed our time over boiling gamgatang and best jokbal in bay area.

If you want to have real authentic Korean food in the Bay area, this is the place you should go. This is definitely one of the best Korean restaurant in the area. Gamja-tang is better than the one you can get in Korea. Bossam is the best I’ve ever tasted! I’m coming back with my family this weekend! So glad they opened it here.

We went this place on the regular night, and it was pretty pathetic… My husband found this place on a Korean newspaper and he just wanted to try new place like always. So when we arrived a little before seven at night, there were only one table available. About five or six tables were occupied. We waited for the waitress to be seated… She was so busy in the kitchen, she didn’t notice us until later… My story is pretty long… so i will write the key features for my experiences. [Tables] Only 6 or 7 tables… but they are round… easily can bump into ppl next to your tables… [Atmosphere] Wow… this was a surprise… I haven’t seen that many ahjusee & ahjumas in the restaurants… [Waiter/Waitress] one waitress(poor girl… I really felt sorry for her) and two chefs inside the kitchen. This girl was doing EVERYTHING. From placing ppl, picking up a phonecall taking order, bringing drinks, food & refills, check, packing left over food(wait little more) washing dishes She was the only one. [Food] Apparently, they are known for Bu-Dae Jji Gae(army soup) & JokBal & Bo Ssam. We asked which one is popular. She said JokBal but it’s gone at 7PM. Apparently, Jok Bal is that good. Things went wrong: We had to find our own table and own chair. We asked for a menu(after waiting ten mins) and this ahjuma(customer who was waiting for a check) gave us the menu board. We had to asked for water couple times because she was so busy. Food ran out quickly. By the time it was 8PM, most of side dishes and alcoholic drinks are gone. Getting our check was painful. I really felt sorry for the waitress, but it is what it is… PS. my face was breaking out at night with little red bumps… I am not sure it is from the meat or oyster… PS. that night, I’ve seen two groups leaving. One group left because the service was so slow. Other group left because there were no food pretty much…
